This is my favorite comfort Tex-Mex restaurant. It’s a locals “if you know you know restaurant”, and I can comfortably say I am well traveled but no matter where I go when I come back home I always stop here.

Great local place to get Tex-Mex! Good food. Good prices. Friendly staff 99% of the time (been here years) I usually get takeout, so I can't comment as to the inside of the restaurant. Their salsa used to be sorta cilantro heavy, but that has changed within the past year. Its is much more balanced now and very tasty 😋. I'd give the quality a 4/5, but if ya want Pappasito's quality you're gonna pay Pappasito's prices (3x 😨). Been here for years. Will continue for sure 👍🏼

This neighborhood restaurant was pretty impressive. It has a full menu, with large portions and decent prices. The food was great and the staff was super nice. This place is way better than fighting the crowds and high prices at the typical franchise mexican restaurants around town. We will definitely return.

Great local spot for some great Mexican food. My wife and I have gone here several times and it is always a great choice. The food is served up right away and nice and hot. I had the carnitas the first time we went and it was killer! So good that I saved almost half of the carnitas and used it to make carnitas breakfast tacos the next day. Not too expensive, good margaritas. Overall really solid joint.

This is a hit. They give you chips and salsa and we ordered a side of the guacamole. We loved it. I had the fish tacos and it came with rice and charro beans. My boyfriend had the steak burrito with rice and refried beans. The staff was super nice and were following all social distancing rules.

We just moved to Atascocita and this will be are spot to go now, I love their food it is very fresh and we've been twice and got it to go once. It was very fresh all 3 xs the only negative thing I could say is the chips weren't warm when we got them but I have 2 little ones and they don't like them warm anyway so we didn't mind. I love this place!!!! So good! :) They also have wonderful customer service. I had 4 different people check to make sure our food was okay, and if we needed anything.

Up until we our age got the better of us my wife and I had a late breakfast there once per week. We loved the place. Now we visit when we can which due to mobility issues my wife has is not as often for their evening meals. We have no particular favorites as we have over time enjoyed most of them. Their service is good, their prices reasonsble. The place is always clean. Give them a try.

Stopped by Sunday afternoon, very nice and quaint place. Great place for a cozy date or a little me time. The food was delicious served piping hot and fresh. I ordered the Combination enchiladas, also jumbo margarita wasn't bad at all. Friendly and attentive staff it's a must try for a small and cozy establishment.

I've been eating here (different location but same owners) since 1996! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! My all time favorite mexican food. It's not 'fancy' food, but it's very tasty, great large portions, and good service.

Me and my husband ordered 2 california beef burritos to go. They were soooo good, tortillas are homemade and the burritos are soo big too and they give you chips and salsa. price was right. Ill definitely be coming back!

They never disappoint. No frills Mexican food for the whole family. We've done both dine in and take out. The kid's meal enchilada with a side of veggies or salad is my go-to when i need a hot meal I know my kids wont pick over. Very affordable and very friendly service.

Los Vega #2 is a small restaurant located in a strip center with Kroger. The food is excellent. It is not the cheapest Mexican food but I don't believe it is overpriced. I got chicken flautas and soup to go. It came with chips and salsa. The flautas were yummy and served with rice, refried beans, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. I asked for extra avocado for the soup and took a picture because they had laid it out so pretty. I also took pictures of their most recent menu.

We ordered the enchiladas lunch plate and when my husband took the first bite and his eyes looked toward heaven, I knew we found a great spot! The enchiladas lunch plate is a hearty and delicious with tons of flavor, cheese, and beans and rice. We couldn't decide if we loved the ground beef or chicken enchiladas more! And the salsa was served warm. It was unlike salsa I am used to but I loved it! Lastly the restaurant ambiance was very nice and the staff was extremely friendly. The server and managers made sure everyone was happy. As someone said in another review, "This restaurant is a hidden gem".

Priced well, the traditional TexMex food is above average. Recently had fajitas poblamo and the meat was reduced a lot. Perhaps a single occurrence. The margaritas (frozen) are good.

I had the mole, and I didn't like it at all, Poncho's Mexican Buffet has a mole that is 1000% better, but my wife has the shrimp enchiladas and they were very good, their salsa is very good. I will go back and order something else but not the mole.

Service was ok, but food was alright. Got a plate of steak fajita enchiladas and they were stuffed with meet and nothing else so it was very dry. My girlfriend and I both got large happy hour margaritas and we're both pretty sure they were all everclear and no tequila and I don't like when restaurants do that.

Good salsas. Good rice. The chicken in the enchiladas seemed a bit … old and rubbery. We won’t be coming back; too many places in Houston to enjoy amazing Mexican.

I was visiting family in the area during lunch time. We wanted to mexican or tex/mex and stumbled upon Los Vega. It a small place in a shopping center. The inside was simple old school mexican restaurant style. There weren't many people when we arrived but some "regulars" began to trickle in. We ordered some lunch specials which are $9.99 including weekends. I order the tacos de carbon. It comes with 2 beef tacos with rice ,beans and guacamole. The plate was good. The seasoning was on point for everything. The fajitas were a bit dry though. We also order the huevos rancheros plate. Eggs were cooked perfectly and everything else tasted really good. We also ordered the cheeseburger and taco al carbon from the kids menu. The kids also enjoyed their food. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience.

Been going to this spot for awhile. Food has always been good and affordable but this evening I had dinner here then upon sitting down behold an aggressive cockroach approaches. Went and stepped on it and told the server about it. The server said it came from the outside trying to defend the place's cleanliness which is not the best. I was very upset with service there was two of the same meals and they only brought one.They didnt even put the order in for second meal so husband had to wait and get his food to go. Then due to the cashier not knowing how to use the card machine has now locked up my card because of faurd detection so i will not go back ever.Sad good food bad service.

Um. I have lived across the street from this restaurant for years and have only been twice. After last night I see why. I was afraid to order a meal because i vaguely remembered my last meal so i took the safe route and ordered quesidilla's thinking they could not mess this up. They were tough bland and not even close to the quality of a taco stand. The prices do not reflect the quality of food that you are given so i dont understand why anyone would even chose to go there on a regular basis when you have so many decent Mexican Restaurants close by. I wish i would have driven the extra couple miles to get professional service, good food, and good drinks. It was a total waste of my time and money. I won't be going back even if it is across the street.

Recently increased prices. Over $10 for 2 enchiladas. Used to be about $7. The price of ground beef and tortillas has not gone up that much. Rice and beans are dirt cheap. Their excuse was "Everything is going up" Why not understand that because of that, folks are struggling and want/need a place that doesn't jump on the price gouging train.

We eat here occasionally as it is right by our house. We ordered takeout and ordered the beef floutas dinner and the 3 enchilada dinner, and added 2 of the tostada shells with queso sauce on the side. When we got there the girl rang us up, rather unfriendly to boot, and charged is for 2 additional tostada dinners even tho we ordered just the shells with queso Ala Carte. So not only was our order taken wrong and the wrong thing given to us but we also didn't get the chips and salsa that comes as a side to the enchilada dinner. The weather was awful and service was unfriendly to start with so we opted not to go back up there.

My husband and I had been here before but after church on Sunday I went with my cousins n it wasn't good, the waitress was getting our order wrong over n over. My stuff avocado wasn't even stuffed, the chicken was on the side! Our rancho brand had no in taste at all. Very disappointed.

Overpriced garbage! Seriously save yourself the $100 tab for expired food! I always opt to eat plates that are grilled from smaller restaurants yo ensure freshness. Well did this place prove us wrong. We ordered the “parrillada” for 3. I am praying we don’t get sick. We left more than half of the meat because it was obvious that they were trying to mask how old the meat was with extra seasoning. I managed to eat one taco before I decided it was better to just go. The server did offer to substitute meat but why would you trust a place that has clearly given you a variety of expired meats. No thanks! Nice service but inedible food. This restaurant overcharged my card $7. My order was $11.79, but when the charge posted to my account 3 days later it changed to $18.79. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the manager stated I needed to come back to the restaurant with the receipt. I no longer had the receipt since it was several days later. I would recommend using cash if you eat here. Based on this unfortunate incident, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I get an extra plate of only beans no replacement dinner. rice was only not on one of the enchiladas I ordered so I had a tin plate of beans and 1 single cheese enchilada for the price of a meal

Decided to try this place out with some clients of mine. While they attended to us fairly quickly. The food on the other hand wasn’t that great. On arrival it looked as if it was just reheated, that dry look on food when it’s been sitting. It wasn’t hot but more of mildly warm, (heat lamp) I’m assuming. Also, no can or bottled Coca-cola or sodas. The fountain drinks were flat, we had to order Agua Fresca which also didn’t taste fresh but of a powdery blend. Not knocking this place down but for the price could we at least have a decent “cooked” meal and not what appears to be reheated food. Needless to say, we will not be returning nor did the food get finished. Good thing this was more of a pit stop for work.

I had the poblano with fajita meat. Yuck. It had some sauce on it. Never heard of such a thing. I couldn't see the poblano because it was small under all the meat and sauce. My pina colada was cute but I swear they only put a tablespoon of alcohol which I could taste at the very end. The rice was good. The red salsa with chips was okay. The service was great and a nice atmosphere. I will not visit again.. just didn't taste authentic or tex mex.

The service was great. The food was absolutely appalling. I placed a to-go order, a Flauta Dinner and a Shrimp Cocktail, and this is what I got. Someone there actually thought it was acceptable to serve this. The open ends of the flautas were burnt to a crisp. The shrimp in the cocktail were severely overcooked, tough, and chewy... barely edible. The prices absolutely do not reflect the quality of the food. This is the second chance I've given this establishment. The 1st time I ordered Enchiladas, and they were mediocre at best. I give the kitchen an F-. They even have the nerve to include a Service Charge for online Pickup Orders! And, they automatically include the gratuity!
