Amazing toy store. Items for every age. It was a nice place to browse, as my children are almost grown so I need to catch up on what's new to buy gifts for Great-nieces/nephews! Lovely staff.

This is a toy lover’s Toy Store. As an adult every visit to Geppetto’s takes me back to 10 year old me who saw toys as an infinite playground of possibilities. Sure, you can buy a toy at a store that sells lots of other things, or you could buy a curated toy from a store that ONLY sells toys.

Crazy cool toy shop. All kinds of games and toys from old to new. You will definitely find something you like no matter what age you are buying for. If you don't find something you weren't looking hard enough.

Great toys! Great staff! And complimentary wrapping is great especially when you’re late for a birthday party! Prices are fair and toys and brands are higher quality.

I was fortunate enough to win the auction for a 4-course dinner and wine package generously donated by Catania to the San Diego Humane Society. It was absolutely delicious and we all want to return. The service was very attentive, our water glasses were never empty, plates were cleared promptly, and every course was delivered quickly. Even the chef came out to say hi. We tried 4 antipasti: arancini, wood roasted cauliflower, crispy octopus, and grilled cabbage – the flavors and textures were all so unusual, but well-done. Then 2 pizzas, a spicy Diavola and the Sicilian pistachio – both on a delightfully chewy thin crust. The pasta course included butternut squash triangoli (my personal favorite) and ziti alla Genovese. The entrees were grilled waygu ribeye and chicken cacciatore with roasted veggies. By the entree course, I’d eaten so much I was having trouble breathing, but I soldiered on to the desserts. The trio of sweets included a rich flourless chocolate cake, Nutella semifreddo on a hazelnut crust, and panna cotta with pomegranate arils. We were totally stuffed, but couldn’t let a morsel go to waste, it was that good. All of the wines paired beautifully with each course and the dessert came with a special treat. Their housemade limoncello was incredible: sweet, tangy, and dangerously delicious. This was an incredible dining experience, I’d highly recommend a special night out at Catania.

Fantastic dinner experience with my parents, husband and friends. I was able to make a reservation for a party of 7. We all enjoyed appetizers and desserts along with dinner. I went to recommended restaurants in San Diego, and none of them were special. This restaurant gave me the best dinner I've had this year. As a chef, I appreciate well-executed food, and this was excellent. We ordered four appetizers and eight main courses, and everything was superb. The sous chef, who was closing the restaurant, came out to greet us and make sure everything was to our liking, which made our evening special. Thank you to the chef for everything, and to our waiter, Alberto, who expertly explained the entire menu. A truly wonderful display of hospitality.

What an absolutely fabulous meal! Came here with my foodie friends and they said I hit it out of the ballpark with this find. The ambiance was great, food was BEYOND delicious and the service was extra awesome. If only we could have servers like Russ everywhere we dined, life would be perfect. Definitely need to come back with I visit.

Cantania in La Jolla was a great experience all around. I really appreciated that they had veggie options that were easy to make vegan. The kitchen was happy to work with me and put together a spicy veggie vegan pasta using in season vegetables, and it tasted great. Fresh, well balanced, and exactly what I was hoping for. The rosé was fine, and the wine and drink selection overall was strong with plenty of good choices. My date ordered the duck ragu and said it was awesome, rich and full of flavor. The atmosphere really stood out. Very inviting, romantic, and just a great place to settle in and enjoy the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made everything feel smooth and unhurried. Between the food, drinks, service, and vibe, this place checks a lot of boxes. I would definitely go back.

Just back to La Jolla after long absence. Catina is now a Michelin recognized restaurant- but still as authentic, welcoming and delicious as our many visits in the past. Nice unpretentious place with a variety of seating choices for all tastes. You will enjoy it.

I grew up in La Jolla and my family has been in the Windansea area of LJ since the late 1980s and I would say that Catania is one of my favorite restaurants that’s been in town over the decades. I dined here 6 years ago and had a wonderful dinner and did again this past weekend when I was in town for Thanksgiving and I, as well as the rest of my party, all had a fabulous dinner. It’s right in the middle of The Village (also known as downtown La Jolla) on the top of a small shopping center where World Core and Bessel surfboards used to be. It has great views of the Pacific Ocean and downtown La Jolla. It’s especially nice if you go at sunset. They offer indoor seating and heated outdoor, plus a bar. Our server was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. We also dined outside during a cold November night and they did a great job by keeping the heat going so it was nice and warm. None of us got chilly at any point. For this visit, I started off the meal with a Green Salad and thought it was a really nice light start. I enjoyed every bit of it and felt it was a good choice. I would like it if they would have a sliced heirloom tomatoes or Caprese option but I still enjoyed this. For my entrée, I had to get my favorite dish of the restaurant which is the Whole Roasted Branzino. I had it 6 years ago and loved it then and loved it again this visit. It has a great lemon caper flavor to it and they really do a good job removing most of the bones. I also love how they add clams and broccolini with it, which are also two of my favorite things. Overall a fantastic dinner and it’s consistently good which both of my reviews will prove. I highly recommend and will be back again many times in the future.

Wow, we had such a wonderful time at Catania for my daughter's birthday. The staff couldn't be nicer and more thoughtful, and even printed Happy Birthday on our menus. We had kale salad, Margherita pizza, tagliatelle and crispy octopus and everything was DELICIOUS, including the complimentary flour less dark chocolate. The sunset view was gorgeous. We definitely want to come back.

This is one of our favorite spots for so many reasons. We come here when we want to go some place a little nicer, but still casual. Recently, I brought my husband here for his birthday and I also brought my Grandmother here for hers as well. They made it so special on both occasions. They printed special, personalized ‘Happy Birthday’ menus on both visits. My Grandmother absolutely LOVED that! The food and drinks were to die for, as usual. The service was fantastic! They even offered my Grandmother a dessert of her choice to-go (we were SO stuffed we couldn’t eat any more while there!). I finally had to write a glowing review because they truly deserve it. This is a spot that still REALLY cares about their patrons and it shows. Thank you for making our special moments so memorable, Catania!

Yesterday we tried the shrimp risotto, octopus, and kale salad, and they were so incredible that even though we planned to come back tomorrow, we just couldn’t wait we had to return today. That’s how unforgettable the food is here. The shrimp risotto is perfection, the octopus is cooked to absolute tenderness, and the kale salad is so fresh and flavorful. The espresso martini 🍸deserves a special mention it’s hands down the BEST we’ve ever had, anywhere. The wine list is excellent, the drinks are crafted with care, and every detail makes you want to stay for hours. The service is top-notch friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The staff (both waiters and bartenders) go above and beyond. The vibe is perfect, with great music, a clean and beautiful atmosphere, and the kind of energy that makes you excited to come back again and again. Catalina is officially the highlight of our trip. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. We’re already planning our next visit probably tomorrow!

What a great discovery for a Saturday night! The atmosphere was so welcoming and laid-back. The food was absolutely amazing. It's no surprise that they made it into the Michelin guide. We tried the crudo and it was outstanding, along with the summer salad. Both the tagliatelle pasta and the diavola pizza were simply delightful. Top it off with the strawberry pannacotta! 😋 Can't wait to go back!

Cute little toy store with a deceptively good selection of toys, especially educational ones. I still wish it was a little bigger though. They employees are knowledgeable and helpful. They’re also patient with the children that just can’t quite seem to keep their hands in their pockets, and end up playing with more than they should.

Pretty great place for such a small place. The two workers their knew what they were talking about. It has quite a small inventory though so if your looking for alot of toys you may want to go somewhere else. However if your looking for toys out of the norm that are fun and exciting this would be the place.

Sweet little toy store in the heart of the village. You'll find a gift for sure, but if you're seeking cheap toys you'll want to head to a big box store. This little shop has everything you could want if you're shopping with a discerning eye.

As vegetarians we ordered focaccia with burrata which was exceptional, Basil + creamy tomato pasta (amazing) + mushroom pizza (very nice) and tomato basil margherita pizza (ok, can skip) and the trio desert platter (best was dark chocolate cake). Overall great food, very Nice service.

I was very disappointed with my purchase. We were sold a broken toy. the box when we bought it was not in great condition but I didn’t think anything of it because I bought it from a well know store. But when we (Santa) gave it to my son on Christmas morning, we noticed it was missing the top to the ladder. We must have been sold a return product with missing parts. We were Very disappointed when it was opened on Christmas morning.

Geppetto’s has always been one of the reasons we enjoy visiting UTC—my daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, loves picking out sticker books and exploring the toys. Unfortunately, today’s experience left us feeling unwelcome. During a moment of sensory overload, my daughter accidentally knocked over some toy boxes. I immediately apologized, and while the asian employee initially said “it’s okay,” her expression quickly changed once she realized we are not white people. Her visible annoyance and lack of empathy were disheartening—especially in a store that caters to children and families of all backgrounds. This kind of response, especially toward a child with special needs, was disappointing and hurtful. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I’ve ordered from here many times and have always tipped well, but tonight’s pickup was really disappointing for the price. We paid about $60 and the pizza had noticeably fewer mushrooms than previous orders—this seems to happen more each time we do pickup. The salad was also not worth $20: it was mostly lettuce with barely six pistachios. We specifically asked for extra salad dressing and did not receive it. On top of that, the dressing container took up a significant portion of the salad container—overall it was only about 1/3 full, including the dressing. I’m not trying to be difficult, but the portions and value were far off tonight. I’d appreciate a response and a make-it-right solution. We have ordered many times and this was super disappointing
