Happened upon this restaurant while visiting La Jolla on our way to San Diego. Great location a block and a half from the cliff walk along the park and waterfront. Staff were friendly, service was great, food was excellent!

Cute little eatery close to the cove. We ordered a spritz, the morning joe martini, the salmon avocado toast and a prosciutto benny. Service was very fast, our food arrived within ten minutes and the drinks even shorter. The space inside is a little cramped, definitely try to shoot for the outdoor seating for coastal views. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reasonably priced and quick place to stop in and eat around the buys La Jolla area

Brunch with a viiiiew. Came here for our anniversary weekend in La Jolla and we were so glad to have picked Cove House. Ordered the Traditional Benny and subbed out for waffle fries which was a great choice (duh). Also ordered the Seasonal French Toast and it was delicious. I was worried it would be mushy from the sauce but the texture was silky and indulgent. Mmm thick bread! The atmosphere was very open-air and breezy and we didn’t have to wait long for a table. Tough to find parking in this area (especially on the weekends) but just keep driving in loops until someone leaves. If you’re looking for a yummy, filling, pretty brunch spot in La Jolla, pick Cove House! Walk around the cove afterwards to see the marine life and ocean views.

Went for brunch with my mom & sisters after seeing the Sea Lions. Great location & no wait. We shared the Chilaquiles, French Toast & the Traditional Benny. I also tried the Little Mermaid drink, it had some sparkling water or sprite which I wasn't expecting but it was still good.

Even though it’s between all the hotels in La Jolla, the staff is awesome, the food is awesome, reasonably priced for La Jolla resorts and great to walk to. Staff was super fun and it was great location in between everything. Great mimosas.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be a great experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the staff truly made it stand out. Everyone on the crew was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Their positive energy and efficient service set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic meal. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals to enjoy out, and I’ve had plenty of great ones—but this place stood out in the best way. The quality, flavor, and presentation were top-notch from start to finish. I started with their Spicy Bloody Mary, and it was the perfect way to begin. It had the right level of heat, full of bold flavor without being overpowering. It was well-balanced, refreshing, and served ice-cold with a great garnish. Definitely a solid choice if you like a drink that wakes up your palate. For my main course, I went with the Steak and Eggs—and it was exactly how it should be. The steak was cooked just right, tender and juicy with great seasoning. The eggs were perfectly done and complemented the meat beautifully. It’s a classic breakfast combo that they’ve executed flawlessly. The Loco Moco was another winner. Hearty, savory, and deeply satisfying, it checked every box. The beef patty was juicy, the rice was fluffy, and the gravy tied everything together in the most comforting way. The fried egg on top was the perfect finishing touch. This dish felt authentic and thoughtful—comfort food elevated with care. And now, for the star of the show: the French Toast. I don’t say this lightly—this French toast is truly one of a kind. It’s not your average version—it’s better in every possible way. Crispy on the outside, soft and custardy inside, with just the right hint of sweetness and spice. It’s rich without being heavy, and each bite just melts in your mouth. I haven’t had French toast like this anywhere else, and I’d honestly return just for this dish. It’s unforgettable. Throughout the meal, the service remained exceptional. Drinks were refilled promptly, the staff checked in just the right amount—not too much, not too little—and the food came out at a perfect pace. It’s clear that the team works well together and takes pride in both the food and the experience they provide. The ambiance added to the enjoyment—casual yet clean and inviting, with a warm energy that made it feel like a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick solo bite or enjoying a slow, relaxed meal with friends or family, this place hits all the right notes. In a city full of good food, it’s always refreshing to find a spot that not only delivers on taste but also creates a memorable experience. The combination of flavorful dishes, stand-out items like the French toast, and genuinely kind, efficient service makes this place a gem. I’ll definitely be back soon—and next time, I might just start and end with that French toast

Sitting on the patio, there are beautiful views. Feels like Greece! The wait was 25min and we spent it walking at the nearby park. They text you! Loved the food, we got crab Benedict and the chicken and waffle appetizer...so delicious!

Shoutout to the whole team! We showed up a few minutes before they opened, and even though a few other parties arrived at the same time, the staff handled it like pros. Great teamwork all around! Our server and another team member made sure we were taken care of right away. Everyone was super friendly and attentive—from keeping our coffee topped off to getting our orders in quickly. The food came out fast, perfectly cooked, and honestly, everything was delicious. You can really tell they use quality ingredients, and the presentation was on point. They even helped celebrate a birthday in our group, which was a really nice touch. Overall, just a great experience. Good vibes, great service, and amazing food. Definitely coming back!

very cute atmosphere and the bennys are sooo yum. they aren’t on a traditional english muffin, it’s like a flavored biscuit of sorts. i thought it went really well with the toppings! and obviously it is super close to the la jolla cove which is a plus ! 🦭 i will say the line is quite long on sunday mornings, but i noticed that arriving at 12 ish was definitely the busiest, so maybe come at 11 !

We arrived early for lunch, and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. When we asked to sit on the patio, the young lady at the front told us there were no tables available, even though a few looked open. We would have completely understood if she had explained or apologized nicely, but her tone came across a bit rough and made us feel uncomfortable. When we asked if we could at least sit by the window to have a bit of a view, she was indifferent and just nodded without saying much. The food itself was tasty, and our server was polite and attentive, but unfortunately both of us had upset stomachs afterward. It’s a shame because the flavors and presentation were great.
