I enjoy it! Good food, good service, and if there is ever an issue they take care of it for you. I've only had one and they took care of it efficiently. It's a business run by people. people sometimes make mistakes, it's how they are handled and how frequent they are that interests me. One of my favorite places to eat in town.

As fantastic as ever. Guac was fresh, flavorful and creamy. Cheese enchiladas were delicious. Chicken burrito was full to the brim with well seasoned shredded chicken. Food was ready super fast.

Very good food! We had taco salads and don't normally eat the shell/bowl, but this was excellent, including the bowl. We travel through Farmville a few times a year and are glad to find another good restaurant pit stop. Clean, good service and very reasonable prices.

Mother and I had dinner here. All food was delicious. Seriously. I'd go here tonight if I didn't already have a pot roast going. Service was phenomenal too. Alwaysade sure we were well hydrated. Chilles rilleno was awesome.

My wife is from Texas and therefore a Mexican food snob. If she thinks the food is great, then it really is. Both of our meals were fantastic and the service was quick. Prices were very reasonable.

My son took me here for mother's day, it was the perfect choice. The food was fresh, served at perfect temperature and they were busy. Free fried ice cream for mothers day, very good experience.

Words can’t describe how wonderful this place is and I know many of you reading this will understand where I’m coming from. Come on! La Parota has achieved legendary status within the FarmVille eats/drinks region and quite possibly the entire central region of the east coast. Having a bad day? A couple margs and a big helping of refried beans with cheese will have you smiling from ear to ear. Great food and even better service!

Our dinner here was great! The meat was flavorful and tender and the sides were delicious! Definitely recommend the carnitas with extra guacamole and queso!

Enjoyed a quiet meal with my wife as there was no blaring music with which to compete. Food was hot/fresh and the entire experience was very enjoyable. We were seated quickly & early enough for happy hour margaritas. If i have one complaint it would be the scant (undetectable) amount of tequila in the margaritas. Otherwise, very happy experience.

This place was absolutely amazing. When we arrive we did not have to wait long to be seated. The menu selection was very good. The food was great and the prices are very fair. Our waiter was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very professional. The bathroom was very clean and they have a modest amount of parking. The restaurant appeared to be very clean and the overall aesthetic was very welcoming was very appealing. We went as a group of six people and we were all very satisfied. I would highly recommend you stop by and give this place a try.

The menus varied well. I ordered 4 mixed meat quasadillas. Beef and chicken. Very tasty. Lot of food. My friends order made me jealous though. Texas fajitas were outstanding and they came on a sizzling griddle pan. Very fresh. Wait staff are attentive and friendly. My favorite dessert is the xangos. Its delicious. A must have. Also try the Berrias tacos, very good. The salse verde is a nice spicy addition.

Customer service here is amazing. Me and my girlfriend came the other day and I had ordered the fajita burrito with no tomato’s. We came in today and I got the same thing but totally forgot about asking for no tomatoes and the worker in here asked if I wanted that without tomatoes because he remembered from last time we were here. Very nice and clean restaurant as well. 10/10 recommend. Very quick service as well and food is great.

First time dining at this restaurant! We had an amazing lunch! Pollo compadre (grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, beans, tortillas) and Chori pollo(grilled chicken, chorizo, beans, tortillas) the chicken was grilled to perfection and seasoned perfectly! Our server YoYo was fantastic! The white sauce for the tortilla chips was awesome! It had a little spicy kick. We will definitely be back!

Excellent food and excellent service. Early dinner, mid-week, is a good time to avoid the crowds and get more attention & service. The quality of the food can often be measured by how much the quantity of conversation changes when food is served. In our case, conversation just about came to a stop until we had made a hearty dent into our entrees of choice. We were too busy enjoying the delicious meal to waste time talking to each other. The Taco Salad and the Chips for the Nachos were both excellently fried and crispy. The toppings of both were generous and had a nice combination of flavors. They have a delicious mild salsa and I had to keep fighting everyone off my quesso. The Nacho Texanos had very well proportioned and seasoned shrimp, chicken, and steak. I would have liked a little more condiment toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. If I had thought about it, I should have ordered a side of beans and rice to go with it. They have plenty of options, so everyone should be able to find something to suite their preferences.

Today we ate here for lunch in Farmville VA and were pleasantly surprised with the high level of cleanliness and nice spacing of tables. It also was my first visit here. The salsa and chips were delicious! Also, I enjoyed the generous serving of grilled chicken on my salad. The salad portion was plenty for me to take home and enjoy a second meal! The staff are very friendly and prompt. We need to give thanks to our Farmville real estate clients by treating them to a gift card here after a closing on a home purchase or sale. I highly recommend trying La Parota Grill in Farmville!

Wanted a nice night out, so we stopped by Last Parota. The service was good & the food was cooked perfectly. Not to mention the beverage prices were great. This was a good choice for an inexpensive fun night out. Only thing that could've made it better would've been music considering the loud atmosphere.

Some of the best tacos I've had in a couple of years. Al Pastor tacos had great flavor and were just spicy enough to let you know, but not overpowering the other tastes. The tacos were served on corn tortillas that were slightly toasted (not steam like many other places), for which I am grateful. Lots of menu options, staff was very polite and attentive. Atmosphere was ok, but everything was very clean and well organized. Thanks again and I will certainly be back next time I am in town!

Despite the sketchy-looking exterior, the restaurant is tastefully decorated inside, very clean and relatively quiet. Service was amazing and our food was brought in almost fast-food time. I liked my meal (Tierra y Mar), though there wasn't a lot of meat and toppings for the $17 price tag. My husband's meal, just a combo, was very underwhelming and didn't taste particularly fresh or authentic. Overall, Bandido's may be better for a trendy, tasty experience, but La Parota may be better for a casual lunch date if you want to focus on conversation rather than food.

Food didn't taste very authentic, but the owner was very pleasant. Disappointed with my Cancun quesadilla. Maybe 1 shrimp and little crab per triangle; was mostly cheese. Each 1/2 quesadilla had 3 triangles. All other food at my table looked great. Don't know if I'd return.

The people was great but the food was not as good as it was I have been there several times and I have always liked the food but this time I didn't like it and I didn't eat it and I didn't say anything to anyone I don't like making things uncomfortable for people

The quantity of the food was very small compared to other Mexican restaurants I've been too. The quality wasn't what I expected, the shrimp was overcooked, the chips and salsa were subpar and the lime margarita came in a clear plastic cup and tasted artificial and as if it had no alcohol in it. Probably won't be going back but the service always great.

It's a hit or miss with the food and service. When it's good we're having a great time. Unlike last time they forgot to notify us our table was ready then the wait staff didn't want our table of 8 and we waited and waited. Finally when our waiter came the first thing they explained is how nobody wanted this table so they were stuck with us. A salad of lettuce and tomatoes with no dressing came out first when it's supposed to come with the meal on the same plate, like every other time over many, many years. I would not go here on a guarantee of enjoying my meal knowing that the food was prepared and served the same way every time and that's where the problem lies.

The owners need to eliminate hamburger in all beef dishes and use real beef. Same with taco shells. Fry corn real tortillas. Charge a little more to compensate. Also use real cheese. If they did these few things it'd be great. People were friendly and service excellent.

Staff friendly Original, interesting artwork. Bathrooms VERY clean and smell fresh. 👍🏼 Food unfortunately was pretty bland and lacked spice/flavor. Salsa-very bland, chicken, taco salad all kind of blah…. Guacamole was good and fresh. But if they could kick the flavor up a notch, it’s clean and service was good, so…. maybe we’ll see again in the future…

Overall, it's alright. Service was great, food was pretty decent, but probably would have been better if they hadn't been so busy, but on a Friday night, it's understandable. It's decently clean as well. I'd recommend as family restaurant for birthdays or just a night out. Birthday singing could use some work; a guitar and a trumpet and it'd be great.

This place is usually very enjoyable but today was totally different. The waitress had an attitude about having to fix our order and we waited 20 minutes because they were out rice. Also, the place wasn't busy at all.

The food isn't very good. I've been here twice, and both times, left disappointed. I got a chimichanga, and it came out covered in this gross, thin, runny, fake cheese sauce. The chicken inside was really salty. A burrito was swamped in a thin tomato sauce that had no spice or flavor. Once again, the chicken inside was way too salty. These foods are not spiced properly, and do not reflect Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine one bit. If you're the type who thinks ketchup is spicy, you might think its fine. If you want authentic, don't look for it here. That said, the atmosphere is nice enough, and the staff are polite and attentive. They have a full bar, and it might be a good place to come in and get a drink. Prices are fair.

Prices have gone up and portions of food seem to be cut in half . Used to be my favorite spot in town . Last week Texas fajitas, no where near the portion of food I used to get . Tried again tonight with polo loco and it was very disappointing especially for the price. Hope yall work on that .

I went there with some co-workers, waitress was great, my food was fine, but my co-workers had a different experience, one found a steel wool fiber in his food, and the other one found a hair in his. Unfortunately it soiled the dinner for us and we promptly asked for the checks shortly after.

Never even got to the food. It smelled great when we walked in. However after waiting about 10 minutes to be greeted and then another 20 minutes while waiting to be seated and there were several tables empty and ready to go. We decided to leave. It was a bit disappointing because the reviews were good. On a Saturday there should be a full staff working. I was not impressed with the service.

The food is delicious; however, I don’t understand how every time I order take-out I get skimped on the dish and salsa. Sometimes I order two of the same thing and one will have more food than the other 🤔 and when the give you chips and salsa to go with your meal my salsa looks like it’s been half eaten or the give you a tiny container for 4 take out meals...

Food is good, but won't be returning. We've been three times and never had a good experience with the servers. :( Update a year later: food is still decent, but it was a mistake coming back. Still terrible service. We went during a slow time, only 3 other tables in the restaurant, and our server did not smile or say anything to us beyond the initial "what can I get for you"? It made us feel awkward and uncomfortable asking for a refill or the check. Truly cannot see myself returning again.

Cheese sauce was too thin but had good flavor. Salsa was good and chips were served hot. The chicken enchilada lacked flavor and the chicken was tough. Beef burrito was good despite the grease pooling from the center. Overall, the food wasn't bad for a small town and the prices were definitely affordable.

I went here one time and ordered chimichangas, like I always do at Mexican places. They tried to charge me extra, $1.00 I think, for lettuce. Over NEVER had to pay for lettuce anywhere else and told the manager that. He had the additional fee taken off my bill. I won't be going back there. Places are getting ridiculous!!! 😡

Service was ok. One person in our group did not receive their food. I had the ribeye what was served to me was I guess a ribeye medallion sliced into 3 flat pieces. They were tough and very thin. Thin french fries came with it and they were bland and slightly stale. My order was $19.10. My son had quesadillas and a smoothie and he liked both. His bill was too high for a cheese quesadilla though. $25 for a quesadilla and a smoothie is too much. He sat with his friends so I don't know how his experience was. I don't plan on going back to this place. If I do it will be because others want to. I definitely will never order the ribeye. I should have taken a picture but I didn't want to make the people around me uncomfortable. I'm sure they were as shocked as I was at what was presented on my plate. Best to ignore it and enjoy the company.

Decent service. I had the chicken fajitas. The tortilla shells were stale and the portion was a bit small. My wife had a beef taco salad that was garbage on a plate. The shell was burnt and the beef tasted like it was scraped off the bottom of the burnt pot. The meal was as bad as it gets.

The food was cold and to done. The children couldn't even eat their food it was so hard. We waited at least 45 min to an hour for our food. The waiter did a really good job but the food was barely edible.

A rating of a 1 is too high for this place The drinks are weak and the food is below average and the management and service are horrendous. Spend your money elsewhere. I ordered the Steak Jalisco for $15.75 and it was tough and lacked taste. The refried beans tasted like they were just out of a can. My drink was weak and that in addition to a rude manager and server= too much of a headache while spending money.

The place look so cute inside. However our waitress rushed us and my order was wrong. The food was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The chorizo dip was just a greasy soup. And the chimichanga was flavor less. As a Hispanic person myself I would have been embarrassed to say I made the mushy plain rice. I would never eat there again. Couldn't pay me to go back.

I know this place is one of the cleanest places in town. But, tonight I ordered a stake there. About 1/4 way through eating my stake I found a long black hair underneath my stake. Now I didn't cause a scene. I got up & to took it to the counter & let them know very politely. The manager took it from me quickly took it back to the kitchen. The waitress came back to my table & asked if I wanted another one. I said no please just take it off my bill. She said ok. Which they done. But I sort of expect someone to apologize (manager department) wise. But even when I went to pay the bill. Nothing was said about it & the manager took my card for the bill. I've worked in food service waiting tables several times myself growing up. Things happen I get that. But one should go above & beyond to make this right for your customer. So needless to say I'm very unhappy with my dinning experience tonight. Over all I've always received great service in the past. But tonight I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. I know it wasn't my hair either considering Mines about 1 inch long tops. I'll check my food before eating anything else there ever again.

Absolutely horrible service. My wife kids and sat for 40 minutes and no one took our drink order, much less dinner order. They were not that busy. Two waitresses in the back of the dining room fawning over some women eatingcould not care less. Terrible! We left hungry and thirsty. Wasted 40 minutes of my life!

Ive tried calling them and placing an order 3 different days now in the past 2 weeks, not a single answer. Ive tried waiting 20 minutes thinking they may just be busy, still no answer. I used to love this place and had zero issues with them. But it seems like recently service isn't where it should be at.
