Appearances can deceive, but by all appearances, El Parnaso is a restaurant and a place to convert currency, a casa de cambio. I saw a money changing sign from the central Malecón area, went over, and was shocked to see the terrible tipo de cambio offered. In fact, walk along the Malecón and notice how so many businesses are ripping people off with unconscionable exchange rates. El Parnaso -- I guess this is what makes it an -azo -- offers an exchange rate of 18 today. OXXO is giving 19. The market rate is 19.96, all this being a snapshot in the great drift of the dollar/peso friendship. I went to OXXO. I just changed a US twenty, but the OXXO rate saved me a dollar, and OXXO is just around the corner.

Awesome place to have yourself some good drinks and have a good time with your buddies. Costumer service is good, and the drinks are very tasty! We enjoy the Micheladas from here. Prices are very accessible, and the atmosphere is great. Came to hang out with my guys and watch some football and they didn't disappoint! Definitely one of my to go spots here in La Paz, to hang out and have some drinks. I also love that they don't super blast the music, so you can actually hear each other when you talk. They do take credit cards, and have a small lot to park in front, but there's plenty of parking around there so if it's full, no biggie. Overrall I recommend this place!

Best place to have good & affordable drinks in La Paz. Great choice of beers and also the Mojitos are big and tasty. Heck, even the snacks (cheese fingers) are better than next doors Frida Cafe. On top of that you have Music Videos playing on some big screens. And it's mostly always full house with interesting audience. What more can you want in a small place like La Paz?

Good prices but not much else. They have a large selection of cocktails but they're all very samey and they often get orders wrong. I suppose it's good if you just want to get hammered.
