This is the best Chinese food. They use minimal oil, so the food isn't heavy or greasy. Ingredients are always fresh, and the food is super tasty.

No dessert? 4 people had tea. Had to ask for sugar substitute- brought 4 packets. Asked again - same. Had to ask again for some more. Food was fresh and hot. Sushi was great per the sushi person at the table. Place was not very populated.

Always love the lunch specials here. Tried multiple dishes and they do not disappoint! All the waiters we've had have been kind, attentive and on the ball. The only thing I didn't like that I tried today for the first time was the fried rice. It was dry and parts of it were white rice chunks! All in all, we love it here. 💕😋

Really enjoy their food. Sushi is good too. Recommend the honey walnut shrimp, crispy orange chicken, house lo mein, and house fried rice. Love the rainbow roll too.

I have been coming here for years. The food is delicious and the service is always top notch. My family has a mix of picky eaters, a few that have food restrictions and some of us are vegans. Fortune Cookies has a great selection for all of us! I'm not just talking a dish or two, but several. My nephew was recently told he has an allergy to gluten. This place has a page on their menu dedicated to gluten free plates! It's also affordable. We celebrate birthdays, graduations and sometimes just a dinner out. Our parties are always 15+. I've never had an issue calling ahead to reserve our table. I can't say enough positive things about this restaurant. I'm a huge fan!

Our regular Asian restaurant had gone out of business and we were looking for a new one when we received a menu from Fortune Cookie restaurant in the mail. We decided to give them a try and were very pleased. They have a large selection of Japanese and Thai dishes from which to choose. We went with Walnut Shrimp and Chicken Chop Suey, both were very tasty. We received excellent service from our waiter Adrian and enjoyed the comfortable ambiance of the restaurant. We will return.

Finally went to Fortune Cookies and not at all disappointed, the food was so so good and very fair prices. We had orange chicken, pungent shrimp and house special chop suey. The only complaint was that it was so cold in there the food didn't stay hot and we couldn't get sushi because the chef was on break!! Really!! But otherwise very good!!

Food was delicious, I didn’t get a take picture but family ordered Mongolian beef, and the shrimp lo mein. That thai tea came in a large cup, I was surprised. Will definitely order again.

Huge selection of delicious meals you typically crave. But then there are many types you have to try, chefs specials too. Go for the unusual dishes & sushi. The service is a step beyond. The restaraunt is pleasing, comfortable & warm. If you don't want to deal with our pathetic traffic & drivers cutting you off to get a car ahead, they deliver!

Amazing. Business trip from out of town and this place does not dissapoint. You have to try the fire cracker roll absolutely delicious. Staff was great very knowledgeable house beer just right. Also the sweet beef with broccoli was delicious the taste is incredible. You have to try this place

Ordered delivery. Food showed up quickly & was piping hot. All dishes were delicious & high quality. What stood out most was the extremely high quality of the proteins used, particularly the chicken. It was all lean, white meat & very tender. Best dish was the chicken chop suey!

My top two Chinese fusion restaurant in Fountain valley. Orange chicken is my favorite. Honey walnut shrimp 🍤 is my 2nd.

A Nice, Fun Karen

Absolute favorite Asian fusion restaurant. We prefer the fountain valley location. The interior is beautiful with umbrellas hanging from the roof and a relaxing interior. The sushi bar is delicious and you can watch sports and enjoy your drink. The menu was created to be healthy with less salt and gluten-free options. Everyone had a different meal- kung pao chicken, chow mein, spring rolls, hot and sour soup, yum 😋 The staff is friendly and it’s good fast service.

GOOD FRESH Chinese food. You can get some Chinese food that has been sitting in an aluminum container for a few hours or you can go here and get some delicious fresh Chinese food. The lunch special is one of the last deals left on Earth where you feel like you got more than you paid for. Fresh soup, fresh salad with a delicious dressing, an egg roll, rice and your entree of choice. I left there paying a little bit over $50 for three people and that was including tip.

I don’t know why this place is anything but 5 stars. It’s a really good, classic Chinese food restaurant. Everything is fresh and has good flavor. The restaurant is nice so it’s good for a casual date night, as well as getting take out/delivery. My husband and I order from there a lot and it’s consistently good. Their mushuu chicken, egg flower soup, and garlic beef (asked to be made not spicy for us) are some of our favorites.

The establishment provided exceptional food and customer service; its pet-friendly policy included providing water for our dog, who was welcome to dine with us.

I go to this location quite often with my family, friends and especially my boyfriend and we absolutely love it! The food is great, especially their sushi (the Firecracker Roll is AWESOME). Their prices are pretty good and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and tranquil, can't complain. One other thing that makes this a great place is the friendly service. The waitresses, waiters and hostesses are truly very professional and kind. The only reason I didn't give them a five star rating was because they don't have any desserts on their menu and I think they should! In my opinion, this is definitely a place you and your family should try, trust me you won't regret it!!! 🤗

Great food and big portions. We ordered fewer plates than people (including kids) and still had leftovers. Disappointed that they had a sign posted that lunch specials were not available. We already had 15 people on their way, so we didn't leave, but it crossed our minds.

This place was pretty good, I had it a long time a go when they first opened and my grandma and I decided to give it another try. We ordered the tempura veggies and a few dishes. The tempura was pretty good but a little soft. The real star was the chefs special beef. It was tender and delicious. I would highly recommend this place for that alone. The inside was also cute but needed some sprucing up. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions in a very kind and knowledgable way that made us very comfortable

Always a quality meal when I dine here. You can tell that the quality of the ingredients is top notch and the meat is so tender. The food is perfectly seasoned and sauced and quite frankly mouth watering 😋

Best orange chicken, with a nice flavorful rich sauce. Mongolian Beef was lacking flavor and needed a hit of soy sauce. The fried rice also needed soy sauce. The egg roll was unimpressive and tiny. The egg flower soup and the hot sour soup were excellent with rich flavors.

Definitely a better atmosphere than the Los alamitos location. This one is more roomy. However, they don't have fountain soda drinks. Service was great. Fast as always. Sometimes a bit too fast, but I'd rather have fast service over slow service any day. Didn't try their Sushi typically just come for their lunch menu which is amazing.

The food at Fortune Cookies is amazing! My favorite is the honey walnut shrimp. It's always cooked to perfection and the sauce is to die for. Their chicken and beef options are great choices too. You really can't go wrong. There is a little wait time for your food because it is made fresh to order but it's well worth the wait. Prices are moderate and staff is friendly.

I agreed with my daughter to revisit Fortune Cookie Restaurant the other day-- it's been over 1-1/2 years. Very few people dining for lunch. The food was okay but the restaurant was looking shabby and not vacuumed after prior customers had eaten at our table. I always wonder why they would seat you next to another group when an entire center area was vacant. Should have asked for another table. The server was very pleasant but it seemed she was tired. I will go again in the next couple of months to see if it's improved from this visit.

The food was okay! I guess I had higher expectations. The 3 star actually goes to the staff for being friendly in taking call in order and helping carry out a large order. I would have given an extra star for their friendliness if the food would have been a little better and if they wouldn't have forgotten one of the items from my order.

Nice restaurant, decent price, nice decorations. One of the most positive aspects is the nutrition facts of the prepared foods. Service was good but waiting time for food was long, probably due to Mother's Day's crowd. Some foods were a bit too sweetened.

I arrived after the dinner crowd had dissipated. I was a solo diner but the service I received was very attentive as if my table had more people. Service with a smile. My water glass was always full and my tea pot was always replenished with more hot water. I was really hoping the food would have been more flavorful, though. I ordered 2 dishes: Pad thai and Shrimp with lobster sauce. I was disappointed that both were pretty bland. Originally, I was going to order a sushi roll instead of the shrimp but I guess the sushi chefs had already left because I was told that I couldn't order from that part of the menu. As a solo diner, I obviously didn't finish both dishes (although I could have as I have in the past). The server was very nice and packed dishes both for me. I had finished my brown rice so I was only expecting the main dishes to be packed in boxes. When I got home, they had packed another serving of brown rice for me. That was really nice of them! Service: 5/5 stars Food: 2/5 stars

We use to frequent FC precovid for special family events. It's been awhile but today we had lunch and were quite annoyed by dirty glass front doors, debris on entrance floors, stains on face of reception counter, and cracked wood ceiling decor. As they just opened hour earlier, location did not seem sanitary. We were seated and menus provided. The table was sticky and menus were not clean feeling. Service was acceptable but the food quality was not what I remembered. Pad Thai was soupy and not even close to proper spiced flavor. The Lomein, shrimp, tofu and fish dishes were generic tasting with small plate portions. Sadly disappointed. Adam's Review two months ago stated location was shabby. No improvement and reviews are apparently not reviewed by manager.

Plates and table were dirty, then my son and me had the use the restroom. Never ever seen one that bad, urinal hasn’t been cleaned in months or toilets. Black ring around toilet bowls. Makes me really wonder how the cook area looks. Won’t be eating here ever again, can’t trust the food after seeing how filthy the customer seating area and bathrooms are.

5/12/2019 We decided to give this place a try because their dishes look good on print. The decor is very modern and looks to have some class. Our food arrived and my son could not stop criticizing all the dishes. 1. All dishes are soy based. Tan Mei sauce that is sweet and salty. 2. Carrots are all cut in various shapes within a dish. 3. The meat has no flavor, unless you eat with sauce. etc.. The sour & spicy soup was good. Egg Rolls were good. My son kept saying, there won't be a next time. For people likes PF Changs, this will be okay. American Chinese Food.

Beautiful restaurant with a very nice ceiling display.. My dining companions were A diverse group of Asian women and 2 caucasian/Americans. Of the six, the two Caucasians liked the food. We others found it bland, dripping in sauce, and barely edible. I know that 4 of us won't go back. The other two love it. We prefer Seafood Cove 2 in Westminster. **EDIT TO ADD: I was feeling poorly and wanted some soup. I saw that I could order online and pick it up. I ordered war wonton soup; it was packed with an assortment of shrimp, pork chicken, and beef, delicious wontons, vegetables, and a nice broth. The quart was $15. It was enough for 3 servings.

Dirty bathroom, table was very sticky, food was super salty and warm not hot, main eating floors were dirty and had food debris on everywhere. Our server and host were very friendly and accommodating but the food was extremely mediocre for the price. This place use to be great but now they need some serious attention.

This place was trash for the price. I came here expecting a good meal. I had the yellowtail citrus sushi and one crunchy roll. The only good part of either of those rolls was the yellowtail topper. We ordered crab cream cheese wontons, they were 99% cream cheese. We also ordered the crispy orange chicken(the best thing this place had to order besides the water), the Szechuan beef, and house lo mein noodles. Everything here was flavorless and disappointing. Our bill came out to $70- the kind of bill I would expect for delicious food. Well, better luck next restaurant. Don't waste your time. If you have a go-to Chinese restaurant, please go there instead. Our server was great, friendly young girl who was prompt and attentive. Definitely the star of the meal

Food was trash, Panda serves way better food. Orange chicken was terrible Steamed rice was dry Pad Thai taste like they bought a kit from Walmart Beef and broccoli was overly salted Customer service is terrible, I don't understand why they put on a suit and tie if they are going to act that rude. No fortune here.

A friend ordered food to be delivered for us and ordered extra for other meals and what we ate last night was not good at all. The sushi rolls were not fresh. The beef and broccoli, beef was tough like beef jerky same with the beef in the fried rice. Called Fountain Valley location to complain because we go there all the time and have never had an issue. Because the food was ordered through door dash the person that answered the phone would do Nothing! I said well you have now lost loyal customers and he hung up on me ! Really bad customer service. Very disappointed.

Ate here last night. Been here many times. Food quality has gone down. Had Tropical roll. Barely any sauce on roll. Not much on flavor. Very disappointing. Also had their chef specialty orange beef. Had so many hot peppers in the dish to make it look larger than it really was. Also served luke warm. They were not busy. So you would think they could at least serve it hot. Also, they have changed their fried noodle appetizer that they give you when you first come in. Cheaper quality. No taste and they have watered down the red sauce they serve with it. Being cheap about everything. Will not return.

Do not send back food here... You know that little feeling that you get when you think someone has messed with your food after sending back... To-go food here is not only missing love, but missing edibleness as well. We got a lunch special to go and even paid the extreme inflated amount of $5 extra for a cup of hot and sour soup that usually is served for free with the lunch specials for dine-in.... acceptable, I guess. We added broccoli to an orange chicken meal and it was not only rubbery, but could have passed as chicken gum. We asked for an addition of broccoli when we ordered. The two itsy bitsy pieces of broccoli charged a huge hugey amount, and I mean itsy...less than one bite of broccoli. We drove ten minutes back to get a replacement after an extremely abrasive and rude individual answered the phone. With so much attitude, it was weird when we asked for a fresh soup, he almost jumped up with excitement. Weird and doesn't make me feel comfy when I went to taste the soup and the top part of the hot and sour was just warm, and the rest scalding hot.... Could someone have put an "additional topping" on my soup? I believe the answer to this is yes. This is the third and last time I will be coming here, and I am glad I am a Google reviewer to expose these kinds of restaurants to the rest of Orange county.

D
Donna M

The food was good, but the service gets negative stars. There were 6 of us at dinner. We waited a while after ordering for the food to come. Only one of us got food and a bowl of rice.. It was about 20 minutes later that we were finally able to get someone's attention and ask about the rest. The rice was cold by then and it was another 10 minutes before 4 more dishes came out. About 15 minutes later the final order was brought. This is not what I consider acceptable for any restaurant. My husband liked his food enough to want to go back. The horrible service ruined it for me.

AASHA AASHA

The orange chicken was so disappointing that I'm writing a review. I never write reviews. It was suppose to be crispy and flavorful. It did have good flavor but it was so chewy I couldn't chew it down. The whole time it stayed the sane size in my mouth. It even made my crowns and jaw hurt. I just don't understand how chicken can be that rubbery. There was no crispy outer layer. I wonder what I really ate. It made no sense.

Most rudest server have ever seen. Has no patience whatsoever. Should never be a server. We have eaten at this location many times. We always try not to get him as a server. Every time we've had him as a server he's always been approved. This last time was the worst we got up and locked out. Have the other email servers are great. We called in to complain and we were brushed off.

I went to have a late lunch with my brother, his wife, their 4-year-old son, and a 6-month-old baby. First, when we asked for drinks we were told only soda in a bothered way. Took them a while to bring drinks. When we ordered our food after a while I asked for boxes and the check. When I got my check I noticed they added 18% gratuity. I asked why the waiter told me that we were 5 people. I then said, "Why are you counting the baby, he didn't eat?" I asked him to remove the gratuity from the check. The waiter argued with me about it. I was displeased with him so I didn't tip him. He then told me. You don't tip you don't come back here. He told me that 3 times. I was bowfounded I couldn't believe it. I'm not trying to make an excuse for not tipping but when he was arguing with me he didn't deserve it. That used to be a great place to go eat but not anymore. I was very disappointed.

Entrantes y Aperitivos: El Comienzo Perfecto
