Zov's is a charming Mediterranean restaurant known for its fresh, high-quality food and friendly service. The lamb burger, short ribs, and salmon are highly praised, as are the desserts and bakery items. JC is mentioned as an outstanding server.
Tip: Zov's has a bakery next door with delicious pastries, making it a great spot for dessert.

My team of coworkers went for dinner, Benjamin our waiter was above and beyond amazing, the food superb, tasty and delicious, I had a lavender lemonade and shrimp kebab and a lemon bar from the Bakery, super scrumptious, highly recommend this place, the atmosphere lovely and cute.
First time here, food was great!
Everything was great. Didn't realize there were 2 seperate places and kitchens. Lunch menu was limited at the Cafe. Salmon salad was nice size and beef patty fir the burger was large. Great buns. Lentil was excellent but wasn't a big fan of the eggplant fries. They were too hard. Tabby was great, always ahead of our needs.
I'm a regular at Zov's restaurant. I have lots of lunch meetings and dinners. The food is my favorite! I never get tired of eating at this restaurant. They also gave a delicious bakery on the backside of the restaurant with nice a nice outdoor patio with a water fountain. Overall the service is good, atmosphere is nice and bright. Recommended for a nice date dining.
I was there earlier enough for breakfast. I had eggs and hash browns. Yummy!! The waiter was great and when asked about the menu had answers and suggestions. Refilled my water without having to ask. He served us with a smile and kindness 😊. Good food and desserts were delicious! I will be going back this week. Nice to meet people who care about their job and do a good job at it!! Kudos
Excellent restaurant for sharing plates. I recommend the Angel hair pasta and the Kabobs. The deserts are also amazing that you choose from the Bakery display and then tell your waitstaff. Great outdoor and indoor seating. Everthing tastes great. Portions are generous.
This place is a gem. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. And if you don't have time for a full meal then an espresso and snack from the bistro will do just fine. A Tustin institution with good reason. I've never been disappointed here.
Had to drop a review for my fave Mediterranean restaurant in Los Angeles ! Such great food and desserts. I haven’t been to them in a long time but fondly remember them and have been dying to come back!
It is usually always a great dining experience. Friendly, very accommodating and respectful staff and the food is always very fresh and delicious. They even cater which is a big plus!
Very good food, great service, excellent pastries. We usually go to the cafe side. Both are excellent. Update- nice service but a bit of a hot mess with one of our dishes. 1st they gave us the wrong dish. Then I had to point out the dish was missing an ingredient. Nothing that would keep me from returning but I hope this is not a trend. Update- service was excellent today 👌
Such a great place for lunch or dinner. I've never stopped for breakfast yet. The Greek salad is my favorite. Everything is fresh and delicious! I have dined in and picked up takeout. Just wonderful service.
I love going to Zoves! The bistro dining is inside if you'd like to sit by the fireplace, you'll need reservations. However, they do have an option on the other side of the bistro to have a wonderful lunch, dining inside or out on the patio with full service with a wonderful vibe. Selections are fabulous. Food is out of this world and you've got to try to bakery.
Definitely the finest of diner places I've ever been to. Food is amazing, fastest customer services, and definitely a clean environment. I ordered the astounding 7 seasoning steak and it was incredible. This elegant place promptly offers countless amounts of different drinks including whiskey, beer, wine, and more! As you come in the decorative restaurant, you can immediately see a well trained live singer sitting on a chair with a guitar playing many different songs that might peek your curiosity! This place is definitely somewhere I'll go again if I celebrate a belated birthday.
Consistently great food. I do miss Claudia as a regular server but they are all great. We often order the mezzanine platter and take the leftover for later. Great kabobs. Angel hair pasta is great. I was gifted their cookbook years back. I made most of their recipes. Excellent. They also have. Agreed wine lists
Wonderful Bakery and excellent breakfast that has maintained high quality for decades. Our friends were delighted with the standard breakfast, 2 omelets, while I enjoyed the Burrito (ask for sour cream). Vanilla lattes are very good with beautiful presentation.
Love this place, the customer service is stellar! And you must absolutely try the Eggplant fries as an appetizer. And while they don't have mocktails specifically listed on the menu, you can order any mixed drink in its non-alcoholic version. My go to is the Pineapple Jalapeño Mocktail/Margarita with no alcohol. It's amazing! You will love the entrees and salads as well, can't go wrong with any of the dishes!
Really nice place to take a date beautiful restaurant great help great service food was off the chart not quite as mediterranean as you might think as you might think but the food was all awesome The obviance of the restaurant seems very high and has a real nice bar and a very good selection of great drinks
We have been coming here for years, since there opening. Its our go to place for fine dining in Tustin to celebrate a. Birthday or other special occasion. The food is always amazing, the recent addition of Cioppino will not dissappoint. An abundance of fresh Seafood is what you will find in this tasty dish.
Loved the experience. Food was good and the staff was very friendly.
One of my favorites! I’ve been coming here for years. A great place to go with friends. I love the breakfast and lunch. But dinner is always excellent too! You have to visit the dessert case and bring home some sweet treats. The food is consistently good, the staff is excellent. I’m telling you, it is a must! Plenty of seating inside and out. Plenty of parking too.
Excellent place. Food was wonderful. Service attentive and courteous. Strongest recommendation.
Amazing food and drinks. Great place for a date! Entertainment on the weekends.
Updated review 5/10/23: I brought my mom and my sister for a mother's day dinner and the kebab 2 ways was a hit with everyone. My party of 6 enjoyed the Brussels sprouts appetizer, bread and butter, and the eggplant fries. I opted for the seabass which came with a bed of quinoa and Brussel sprouts. The plate was beautifully displayed as it was delicious. Definitely a family friendly restaurant with excellent customer service. Hubby brought me here for first time and I was utterly impressed with quality of food and service, mostly the food. I drive through this place almost everyday and never understood why there was so much traffic and people lining out the door. Several portions of the Cafe are open depending if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. We came around for brunch and learned entrance is facing Yorba. Dinner is facing the plaza. Food was so fresh and tasty. Wait is average as everything is made to order and don't forget this is a bakery so baked goods are a must! We had coffee with a sugarless chocolate cake that was so fluffy almost like moose and topped with dark chocolate and berries. We also had a fruit tart and it was a winner for me. I got the zovs breakfast that came with toast, real butter (not margarine) and blackberry jam, two eggs your way and bacon and a portion of hash browns. I cannot complain as everything was delicious. I didnt take a picture of my breakfast as I was so hungry but portions were adequate. To say the least, it was a very pleasant experience and staff is very helpful and checked our table often.
Been wanting to stop by this place for a while now. I am so glad I finally did. The staff were very friendly, clean restrooms and impressive decor overall. They have a decent brunch menu, but I'm still curious for their regular breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Still, I definitely will be going back.
Very cool bistro spot. From the outside you wouldn't think so? But after walking in, the ambiance and live music being played is amazing. Also had heaters inside that blend into the decor but flow nicely with everything. Staff was super nice and sweet. Friendly and informative with wines and food selections. Food was delicious and all super fresh. Pictured is the Veggie bowl with chicken and 2 meat kabobs. 10/10 definitely recommend.
Came here for brunch for my uncles 80th birthday. Staff was friendly, service was great. Chicken skewers were delicious.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE,FOOD & DRINK. I always get DD,I belive is her name. She's always so sweet & helpful with recommendations & makes the best expresso drinks. Literally hers taste the best always😁
this is a Orange County Success story. Take some time to find about this Family. They have several amazing restaurants throughout Orange County now. This bakery breakfast spot is an amazing place to get desserts to take home after you have stuffed yourself with carbs and protein.
I haven't been there in decades. Five star service. Limited vegetarian options. I had the angel hair pasta. Divine! Also the eggplant fries. Dessert to die for. All the 5 carnivores in our party loved their food. Everything from sea bass, calamari, short rib pasta, meatloaf and salmon. Would definitely return.
We love Zovs! We just hosted our work holiday lunch here, and Juan Carlos (JC) was an outstanding server. Probably the best server we have had anywhere. He was funny and entertaining and took great care of us. The food was great too!
A group of us came for brunch on a Saturday, the service was amazing, we were greeted and seated right away. Our server had great recommendations and his timing to the table was impeccable. The banana bread lattes were flowing, waffles were toppling with berries, smoked salmon toast was on point. The chocolate bomb comes highly recommended, all of the baked goods looked dangerously delicious 😋😋😋
I love Zov’s! They have amazing fresh high quality food. I had brunch with friends and loved our server,Talia. She was so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable!! Thanks, Talia!
I've never heard of Zovs, a few of my friends have been coming here for years and have watched this restaurant build itself up, and I really wish I heard about this place sooner, because every time I opened my mouth and ate was one of those "you lean back in your chair and reflect" moments. Absolutely amazing. To start off once you get inside the bistro they keep it very fresh with natural light. It reminds me of what Javier's in Newport did with their semi outdoor revamp. The light is plentiful, it makes things open, more social. I love it. Our host was great in getting us a table, she was very kind. It also wasn't long before our waiter came by, I liked how the attentiveness was so quick. I came for brunch, so the menu itself isn't as plentiful with options as the dinner menu but there's something for everyone which I liked. It was 1pm but pancakes and French toast were still an option for appetizers, so I took a wild card and got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the baklava French toast which isn't pictured but we ate it all so quick I didn't get time to snap one. Both were EXTREMELY good, every single person who dipped their fork into the starters had something good to say, the airy lemon flavor with the light ricotta on the fluffy pancakes and the more sweet and soft feeling of the French toast. The braised short rib was extremely tender, I had some expectations for it since it is one of the highest priced options on the menu, and they knocked it out of the park. The hash browns and sauce on the bottom added that little extra kick you needed to complete a fork-full. The salad, I would have preferred just a little less dressing, but not close to even complaining about, it tasted great. I took it upon myself to walk through the back and get to the other side where the cafe is and grab some pastries, the pumpkin cheesecake and a matcha, a wonderful way to end the experience here.
Awesomeness does not begin to describe it. Had the Moroccan Salmon salad. Out of this world. Had a chocolate peanut butter rice crispy treat for dessert. They've been here for 40 yrs. Who would have thunk. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. Excellence indeed.
Zovs is a classic sport for having lunch with family friends, really friendly and kind waiters and staff, who really care about you. Really good deserts, and that is what they are most know for. The chocolate bomb is my favorite but the Key lime pie is also amazing. Zovs has both a bakery and a bistro, bistro has more lunch and sit down food, the bakery for dessert and pastries. The dine in options and also great and has a wide variety of food on the menu, the foods a little pricey, but the meals and very creative and delicious, like the lamb burger.
We came in for a weeknight dinner with family. We had the calamari appetizer (the sauce was excellent) the lamb chop also delicious though one piece was almost burnt black so we mentioned it to our server and she brought us another piece. The salmon was fantastic, melt in your mouth, juicy and perfectly cooked. The beef kebob were my least favorite— tasted like cheap grill oil sprayed on it. We also ordered the sea bass but the server never brought it out and so voided it off the order by the time they realized the mistake. I was most looking forward to the sea bass so will make another visit for that! I do recommend going here, nice atmosphere and the service was decent.
Went on the recommendation of a friend. I was expecting a cheap burger joint, it was not cheap, but not unreasonable for Los Angeles. There were several tables of "ladies who lunch" leisurely having mid day wine. Server was friendly, food was excellent, menu had interesting choices. Salmon was perfectly prepared, best I've had in a while.
Great Restaurant! If you're looking for consistent food and a friendly environment, I would recommend coming to Zovs! I have been coming here for several years and have also been to the other locations in Irvine and Newport. The Tustin location, in my opinion, is the best out of those 3 cities. am typically here about 3-4 times per week and have tried most everything on the menu. I sit at the bar every time and have had great and consistent service from Dan, Bobby, Hugo and Nick! They always refer to me by my first name and make my drinks exactly how I like it. I order a slightly dirty Martini and a Vesper Martini. Below are some of the dishes I ordered on a regular basis. - Short Rib Pappardelle Pasta - This is my favorite pasta here. #1 for me - Pistachio Roasted Seabass - I enjoy this with the potatoe cake. - Kebob two ways - they offer this as a meal, and during happy hour, they have the kebab chicken skewer for $9.95 - The Lamb Burger - I liked the idea of this, but it wasn't as moist as I expected. - The Philly Sandwich - I enjoy this one for lunch, but I just found out they took it off recently. - Calamari - I was expecting a traditional fried calamari, but it ended up being calamari with a sauce and crostini dish. I was surprised and happier with the result. This was a very good, shareable appetizer. (Picture Below) Overall, the restaurant is great, and service is always great! They offer Wine Tuesdays with discounted wine bottles. I've ordered a few at night and was able to take the remaining wine home. Come check them out!
Great location, service and food. I loved that they have their own bakery and make fresh cakes. I loved the food and wine here. I got the almond crusted salmon and it was very tasty. Our server was also very attentive and nice. Our food was ready in a timely manner and the server checked Many times with us to make sure we were happy and comfortable. This is a great place for dinner and prices are reasonable.
This is going to one many times I will.be coming by here. First and foremost, the service is incredible, friendly, fast, organized and prepared. The waitress, was quick attentive, funny, and well mannered. The ambience of the restaurant is warm, cozy, and very clean. Now the food, I went hungry T-Rex on the food, some would argue that the portions are small, I would argue they are perfect. The food is portion so that you do not get rolled out in a wheel barrel and large enough to feel full and satisfied through lunch. The desserts are just foodgasm, you almost feel bad cutting it with your utensils on how presentable and eloquent the desserts are.
Incredible food and an even more incredible server! The food was delightfully flavored and well rounded. It didn't rely on an excess of spices and seasoning, just simply a great combination of flavors. I ate the short ribs and my husband had the lamb burger. The lamb was rich and well pared with feta, arugula and tomato. It had the perfect touch of spice. The short ribs were tender and flavorful, and the combination of vegetables over their potato cake, topped with an egg, cooked to your specifications and an incredible green salsa. It was so well rounded and simply delicious. The mimosa flight was also great! I got the Blood orange, Yuzu lavender and the Peach Ginger. They were a great pair with lunch. Our server was tentative and went above and beyond to assist us. He was on top of our drinks and had an incredible disposition. Over all, we enjoyed our meal immensely and cannot wait to go back.
Zov’s is a great place for a lot of reasons…food, service and ambiance are all top notch. I did however have an issue recently when I ordered a hamburger for lunch. I asked for it medium and it was nearly cooked through and very dry. I ask for a pickle and was told that they don’t have any. I also wanted yellow mustard (love Dijon just not on my burger) …that was a no too. It seems to me that if you’re going to put a $17 hamburger on the menu you should certainly have a pickle available for that picky guest like me. Everything else was wonderful.
Love this place . Great food and excellent staff makes this a perfect place to come. Every now and then we see the owners and love how they come buy and welcome each table. I normally have the chicken scramble for breakfast and the homemade hashbrown cake is a nice touch. Hard part is to try and pass that desert case on the way out. Too many choices.
I ordered a chicken salad, it was delicious but there was no ranch or creamy type dressing available.
This restaurant has nice ambiance, both indoors and outdoors seating. The food is of decent quality, though the portions are average. We ordered steak/chicken kabob plate, and salmon salad. Everything tastes good, maybe a tad on the salty side, and would have preferred more carbs. Comes with a small bread and butter. I feel it is a fairly expensive restaurant, with the food prices being about 50-100% higher that what would be reasonable pricing. Did not get a chance to try the deserts, but they looked nice, probably taste nice, but cost plenty. I would return here for a nice occasion or meet-up with someone, but would not return for a takeout.
Nice location with ample parking. Unique shaded outdoor seating is very nice - open and now crowded. Got the hummus appetizer, it was good. The kebab plate was delicious. Little high of prices for lunchtime.
I only gave Zov's four stars this time because we waited at least 10 minutes after we were seated to be acknowledged by any staff member. One server noticed us and apologized...she took great care of us after that. My sister also heard another server tell the table next to us that they were more crowded than usual that day. The food is always delicious! My sisters both ordered the brioche french toast and potato cakes with bacon and iced tea. I tried the chicken sausage scramble and the coffee cake while dad had the lamb burger.
Went on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. The place was packed with lots of families out for Mother’s Day brunch. So it was a bit of a wait. There were enough chairs in the lobby to sit while waiting. All the food we ordered was good. I have had better veggie omelettes at other places but this one wasn’t bad. The pancakes with bananas were so delicious and so was the lamb burger. Our server appeared too busy to ask us if we needed anything and we had to keep looking for him to get simple things like jelly for the toast and hot sauce for the eggs. Also no one refilled the water for a long time. And this was after 2p when the crowd had thinned and there were many empty tables. But maybe everyone was tired from the busy morning. We also picked up a few cookies and pastries to go and they were all so so good. I would visit again
We ordered takeout from Zov's while we were staying in Orange, AZ. The food was so good! I wish we had decided to eat at the restaurant instead of taking it to go. We got the Mezze a la Carte which was a great appetizer! They plated it pretty well in the go box so I am sure the actual plate is beautiful! For our entrée we ordered the Rosemary Lamb Chops. They were so good and the sides were fabulous! If we are in the area again I bet we will be dining at Zov's.
Zov's is wonderful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is great. Less than five stars for the food was just my lack of realizing a lot of the menu is Greek. I choose a pasta for our lunch meal, it was good. I prefer their breakfast or dinner menu. I recommend.
So I took my wife here for her birthday day , they had a lady playing a guitar and singing that was amazing great experience. Our server was great no-issue there , I am rewriting this review because and know we can't win them all, my food was amazing I had the Mediterranean chicken really good my wife had the steak filet and it was super rare which they comped it which is awesome so my wife reordered the salmon salad, which had no flavor and the salmon was dry, so in the end we know we can't win them all and we end up paying over $200 for our food.
Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. But the food that me and another at my table ordered was so salty that it was inedible. Would not go back again.
Zov's has been a family fave for us for many, many years. Sadly, things recently seem to have gone downhill - both with the food and with the service. Zov's is not a cheap place, so we expect a high level of quality. This review is not based on a single experience. The past few times we've eaten here, the service and food were simply not up to par. Example, yesterday started off with me having to give my extremely dirty fork back to the waiter. This is not acceptable; I blame the management for not directing the bus staff to ensure very clean flatware, glasses, tables, etc. Onward to the food... I often order the Sea Bass (the sauce is delicious!). However, yesterday the fish was quite "fishy" and I should have sent it back - something I loathe doing. I asked the waiter about it and learned it is not fresh fish (it's fresh frozen). Still, didn't the kitchen smell the fish? Or did they simply reheat it frozen? At their prices, I expect fish to be fresh. If not, they should say on their menu that it is "frozen". My wife ordered a side of hummus which was so spicy it tasted like a Mexican salsa. It was also very weak and watery. Hummus should never be spicey and should have some structure to it. You could see the black pepper floating in it and (we think) Cayan pepper sprinkled on top. Perhaps it was "Mexican Hummus"? If so, they should say that on the menu - call it "Zov's Spicy Mexican Hummus". Flatware and dishes should be sterile clean, Hummus should not be spicy, fish should be fresh. The most frustrating part was we told our waiter very clearly my wife can't have spicy food, and she also didn't want tomatoes. Well, her salad had tomatoes. Not a big deal, but still. I blame the waiter on both accounts, but I also blame the Chef for making hummus spicy and for not using "fresh" fish. We spent $100 (including a 20% tip which I shouldn't have given, but you never know if you're going to come back). You need to do better Zov's if you want a 4+ star review from me. We likely won't be returning for awhile, going to look for a new venue.
Server was great, polite and attentive. Food was wonderful. While we were seated two wait staff collided next to our table spilling wine on our table and all over my wife. Zero apologies when it happened, the two people involved quickly disappeared leaving wine all over our table and on my wife. 5 minutes later the man involved came to clean, still zero apologies. Our waiter had no idea, we didn't make a fuss to notify him. We were just in shock that these employees could be so disrespectful.
Zov's is a lunchtime tradition for our family. The food is consistently good - You're not going to find new additions, but you will find many reliable go tos. Our lunch there last week was lacking - lentil soup was not hot enough, the air conditioning was blowing way too hard - and it was nearly impossible to get a server's attention. In fairness to the server, the person had way too many tables to cover. Netted out we will be back - but it would be great if they would turn down the air conditioning and provide enough servers to make everybody's experience enjoyable.
The location is a cute little strip mall, it would probably be fun to walk through it if it’s a first date… you would just need to eat a bit earlier. The ambiance was nice for a date night, not loud and the lighting seemed to be dimmed a bit. We started with the calamari, a usual for us, but this was different. In all fairness, the waiter DID warn us that it wasn’t crispy. He told us that it was grilled in a sauce. I don’t think that was a good description as the dish was more of a calamari chowder than anything else. It wasn’t bad, you just need to mentally prepare for it lol I got the chicken dish and I would have asked for the sauce to be light. I’m a fan of flavors, but I tend to dislike sauces. I feel like sauce drowns put the flavor of whatever it is you’re eating. Essentially, I felt like I was eating sauce, rather than enjoying chicken. If you’re like me and don’t like sauce, ask them to go easy on it. The chicken itself wasn’t dry, so I assume it would have been pretty good. Matt got the salmon. It was good, nothing to write home about, but if you’re in the area and like salmon, I’d give it a go! Matt got a drink with pineapple, which kept clogging his straw… so it should be served with a thicker straw, or more crushed pineapple. I don’t think the drink would taste right without the straw, but I’m weird like that :)
The food was mediocre at best disappointed The bakery top-notch The kitchen can use work I'm being honest. I tell you what's missing on the menu double cut French cut lamb chops American not New Zealand or Australian forget all that American double cut lamb chops put them on the menu then I'll be back I can tell the difference and so can a lot of other people. It's not like you're not charging The menu is very pricey for mediocre step it up folks.
This place was highly recommended by a friend. The restaurant has good ambiance (a little noisy during lunch). Our server was very friendly, attentive and overall service was great. The food, however, was very disappointing. We had a chop-chop salad with chicken, which was mostly lettuce with very small pieces of chicken that were difficult to find, a grilled salmon salad where baby greens were drowning in heavy dressing and salmon was no more than 5-6 ozs. $100 plus tips for lunch for 2 with a small starter and no drinks is over priced for the quality and quantity of food. They have a bakery on the other side of the restaurant. Bought a few different pastries and while not cheap, they were excellent.
Generally I thoroughly enjoy the food but I ordered the angel hair pasta. It came out extremely over done -sticky and pasty... Salad was good, the service was okay Lady was ready to leave and we were second to the last people to finish up... I don't know why the pasta was prepared that way.. I've had it several times and it was always delicious.. The person I was with also ordered the pasta it came out the same.. pasta was definitely not up to the price that they charged...
Zov's Tustin service was good. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was meh and uninspired. The dessert was actually good, best part. I also liked my cucumber cooler. The atmosphere was dull and drab. Definitely in need of an update. That's pretty much it. Won't go back. So sorry 😔
Went to Zov’s this morning for breakfast and found out they no longer serve my favorite breakfast “Banana Foster French Toast.” Very disappointed but the server recommended their new French toast saying it was very similar to the other French toast. Not even close to the same and not nearly as good. Much smaller and had this cream on it that didn’t have much flavor. Half way through the meal I bit down and crunched on something in the French toast. Turned out to be walnut shells. Needless to say I was very much saddened by my whole experience.
Went to Zov's for lunch. I've eaten dinner here before which I thought was average at best but were given a gift card so we decided to give Zov's another try. First off, the girl that sat us was fairly unpleasant. Like we were bothering her. Odd, since it was Saturday at 2, so not very busy at all. I saw her being equally unfriendly to the next couple that came in. She was doing paperwork at the bar and the couple had to approach her to get seated. I know she saw them because she looked right at them and continued to do paperwork. Not a good look. Once we were seated, we didn't get approached for a good 5 minutes, even though the waiter looked right at us multiple times and said nothing. When he finally came, he was pleasant enough. I had the lamb burger which tasted ok but had a weird grainy texture to it and the bun tasted slightly old. For the price, not worth it and I probably wouldn't order again. The fries were ok, but you can tell they came from a frozen bag. The one positive was the delicious deserts they had for sale in the front of the restaurant. Those are worth the price. The restaurant itself is more suited for an older clientele, having a dated 90's look to it. I rarely give 2 stars but honestly, Zov's earned it. I probably would not return unfortunately.
I usually go to Zov’s Irvine because the service and food have been consistently good. We decide to try the Tustin location because of the bakery next door. I ordered the Caeser Salad and I don’t know how long they had the romaine lettuce but the plate was mainly browned stems. It was gross. Sent it back. And the replacement was like night and day. It has the romaine leaves. My guest said it looked completely different and was surprised they initially served browned lettuce and almost no greens. Both of our salads had barely any dressing. The sea bass at the Irvine location has always been delicious. This time around in Tustin it was dry, salty and unappealing but I ate most of it because I didn’t want my guest to have to wait for me. The server said she works there once a week and wasn’t sure of the new items on the menu. And at the end wasn’t even sure if they had gelato available. I would think that food items should be made aware to the staff so that they can let the guests know before they decide to order or go to another restaurant. Overall an extremely disappointing meal. I wouldn’t recommend this location and won’t be returning.
I see that my previous review was deleted. Used to like this place but had a bad experience about 3 weeks ago. I ordered 2 chicken kabob family and instead of chicken, they included a beef kabob combo. I called to let them know about the mistake and see how this can be corrected. I suggested that someone could deliver the correct order at my residence as i was expecting guests and I don’t leave close by. Staff acknowledged they made the mistake but to correct this, they wanted me to drive back and bring back the beef kabobs. When I explained this was not possible they told me that someone will call back and calculate a refund. Needless to say, I wasn’t not contacted, no apologies. Poor manner and customer service. Ended up disposing of the beef kabobs, at least they were not recycled.. one can be a VIP but not treated like one. Always open up the take out order to confirm correct order at Zov Tustin.
With Zov's $18.00 breakfast, you get 2 skinny pieces of bacon and a frozen potato patty. Total rip-off. I have NEVER purchased a bacon/eggs breakfast with only 2 pieces of bacon. Years ago I bought a muffin there at the Tustin location and it had a piece of glass in it. "Zov" herself was behind the counter when I took it back. Not even an apology. Total lack of concern. Never again will I go there.
