LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! FOOD IS SO GOOD AND THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE ARE KIND. PRETTY PLACE, PLACES TO SIT, FAST SERVICE. 😍😍😍😍 The owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful. It’s a pleasure to chat with him! He puts love into every dish and enjoys what he does as far as I can tell! Very friendly. There is new outdoor seating! It’s comfortable and has an amazing view of the ocean. Always super clean. The gyro shaworma is delicious. Get the French fries also! And a drink! You’ll have the perfect beachside meal. There are pictures of the food so it’s easy to tell what you’ll be getting. It’s always fresh. I’ve become a regular because of how positive my experiences have always been here! Every time I go to Laguna Beach I eat at Adonis. Yes, it’s cash only but there is an ATM right inside this place so it’s incredibly easy and it’s always with the amazing delicious FOOD! Do NOT hesitate to go here. My mom and grandma also loved it. And all of my friends too.

Adonis is a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant in a prime location in Laguna Beach. They prepare plates and wraps with really fresh ingredients. We ordered the falafel wrap, and the falafel were fried to order and the wrap made to your liking. The French fries were also freshly fried. The staff is very friendly unfortunately there is not much seating here, just a small bar area with 4-5 chairs. Note that they are cash only and are a bit on the pricier side (but that's expected for the location).

As a frequent traveler, I’ll be honest as always. The service was fast, and the food was very delicious and fresh. I ordered a shawarma, and it was great — the garlic flavor was strong, the chicken was tasty, and the seasoning was rich and well-grilled. The owner was friendly, smiling, and very welcoming. I really appreciated that.

The food was incredibly flavorful and pretty to look at. The gentlemen take great care as they prepare your dish and you can feel the love they put in their food. I especially enjoyed the meats and the sauces. Try the hot sauce! A heads up- they have minimal seating and it’s on stools. It looked like they were building a deck which would be perfect for people who require a chair. The stools didn’t bother us and we didn’t enjoy our food any less for lacking a back to our seats, but I know it’s important to some. The service is outstanding! I hope you try them out!

Halal spot ; I visited this place in October while I was in Laguna Beach and decided to stop by. It's a cute little restaurant with pretty reasonable prices. The only downside is that it's cash-only, so you'll need to withdraw money from the ATM machine inside, which charges a $1 fee per transaction. Aside from that, the experience was great! The server was a nice and pleasant guy, and the shawarma was hot and super delicious. Definitely planning to stop by again whenever I'm in Laguna Beach!

This is my go-to spot in Laguna! I will never pass up a lamb gyro from Adonis. I take all my friends here when I get the chance. The store owner is so kind and generous and the food is so delicious. I love that I can grab my food and watch the sunset all in the same spot! 10/10

This is the small time vibe that I’ve grown to love and Laguna. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their beef lamb gyro. Perfectly seasoned meat, tender and juicy, wrapped in warm, fresh pita with just the right balance of tzatziki, crisp vegetables, and herbs. Each bite delivers an explosion of flavor that kept me coming back for more. The atmosphere strikes that delicate balance between casual and upscale, making it perfect for both special occasions and impromptu lunch visits. Service is attentive without being intrusive, and the staff's knowledge of the menu demonstrates a genuine passion for the cuisine. We had an incredible experience at Adonis. The service was amazing and welcoming. The food was really good. The place is bright and the food is fresh. You could see exactly what you were ordering. After we got our food, we went across the street to the beach and enjoyed it on the boardwalk benches. Everyone loved their food!! We’ll be back soon!

This place has the best chicken Gyros that I know of. Food is all very fresh and tastes great. Considering the neighborhood you get a great deal for what you pay. Shop is very clean and staff are very friendly and efficient. Parking is metered, no bathrooms. Highly recommend, I will certainly be coming back again next time I am in the area.

Halal food! Mashallah the chicken shawarma is very good so are the fries!!!! The atmosphere is full of laughs and jokes!!!! I understand that the old review said there were no ATMS.They recently installed one and it works!

Visiting from the east coast & my husband and I love a good gyro. This was the BEST meal we ate our whole time here (yes, there’s many other good food spots, but the gyro and fries were *chef’s kiss*) the tzatziki sauce was homemade, the gyro meat was cooking on spits behind the counter & they made the sandwich in front of you. Fries were just the right amount of crisp and salty and piping hot. I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it! *important to note that it’s cash only - but they have an ATM ($1 surcharge) also should mention that the seating area is small, but we had no issues finding a spot to eat. Staff was friendly and service was prompt! Would 100% recommend!!

We stopped in to get some Lamb and Chicken gyros on the afternoon and were extremely satisfied! Motzar, who was preparing our food was very generous!

Drove an hour on Friday 2/20/26 to meet some friends for lunch. They were closed for construction. I don't know how long they will be closed for but they should give their customers a heads up. Luckily we found a great spot on the beach across the street to have lunch and we had a great time.

This is my go-to spot for chicken shawarma’s! Delicious, healthy, and quick! And their French fries are amazing if you wanna have a cheat day. Right across the street from Laguna beach, fantastic location.

I left my bag on a bench. Huge thanks to the restaurant manager—when he got my call, he immediately checked the bench and held onto it for me. Also, the food is so authentic. I went to Crete for a summer program and basically had gyros every day hhh. This meal took me right back to the taste of Crete.

Got there early and the chicken wasn't ready so ordered the beef & lamb combo gyro. Good and friendly customer service. Also the gyro had a bit of crunchiness at the bottom which tasted better. Cash only at this place and no photographs allowed inside.

Walked by this place and saw they have Gyro wrap so we decided to try it out. I didn’t have any expectations since I have not found any decent Gyro in the areas. This was good. The spices can be tasted in each bite. The combo wrap is a good deal. $18.99 has your choice of wrap, fries and a drink. The fries was crispy despite of the color. Should try out this place.

High tourist-traffic place. CASH ONLY. ATM was broken so worker seemed annoyed I ordered and then couldn't get cash out Chicken gyro was marginal, had odd taste. Fries smelt of old oil. Creamy white sauce in serving size cup was so thick it didn't pour out. Disappointed.

Prices were around $15-$25 rather than $10-$20, which is definitely pricey for what one gets. The food was good, HOWEVER, and here is the big but, I was literally robbed when paying. The charge was 24 and change and i paid 25. I assumed I would get back my change (around 90cents or so). Instead the guy proceeds and puts it just in the tip box and walks away without looking at me, without saying thank you for the purchase. Fyi this place has no dine-in. I just tried to make eye contact with him but was flabbergasted. This was extremely shady to me, rude, and disrespectful. Plus this place is only cash (there is an ATM with $1 withdrawal fee), so if they already rob me like that I can only imagine what they do with the cash only setup in terms of irs tax reporting... Extremely shady place and i am very disappointed by this even though the food was good :/
