Taqueria El Tapatio

So we came here thinking it was the old TGIF and was pleasantly surprised to see this place here as we love supporting small businesses. I LOVE the vibe inside. It’s a classic Mexican restaurant with aguas frescas, and a full bar. I’ve come on Saturday afternooons both times and the lunch menu is affordable!!!! You get a really good amount of food to 7-10 dollars. The food is flavorful and I’m looking forward to trying more menu items. Have been here twice and will return again and again. I really appreciate how hard they work. There’s a sign on the door asking for patience as they are short on servers , but I haven’t seen and drop off in service in the two times I’ve been there and even if I did I’d still tip well because that’s the right thing to do. Tip your servers and bartenders well!!!

Had a wonderful time here! The food is very appetizing. They have many options on the menu. Fridays and Sundays they have Mariachi band and sound awesome. The atmosphere is great. Great Staff very welcoming.

best fajitas i’ve had hands down. good portions and even better staff and vibes. salsa was nice and rich with a small spice. pico de gallo was especially fresh and very creamy sour cream. only gripe i had during my meal was the tea wasn’t very sweet. will come back to florida JUST for this place

The place is beautiful and clean. The food is delicious. The service was great. I will be coming back. The food was good and flavored. Their aguas frescas are great too. Kids food was also delicious. My daughter ate all her chicken taco. Their french fries are delicious. The fajitas were good and a big portion. The chimichanga was huge. You can't wrong with anything at this restaurant.

We were sitting at the bar. Our drinks were there in the second and appetizer in 5 min. 2 girs were working and was busy evening. The food was great. Only what I would do not recommend it is fried ice cream. Everything else was great.

Will this place be good when I went with my husband 2 times in less than 3 days? The attention and service of this place is excellent. The sauce of the complementary chips is delicious! 🤤 Every dish that came out, arrived super fast and super tasty. I definitely recommend this place without fear of making a mistake! 💯♥️

Amazing just amazing, love to decor the ambience service. Food is excellent. Original Mexican food. This will be our new place to go. We love Mexican food but mostly were disappointed. Because everything is not original. But this place is original. Must go I must try Music also excellent choice. My margarita was fantastic.😃💃 really go and eat there and fall in love with the place like we did.

OMG this food is delicious and the service is quick and professional. Frozen strawberry Margarita is great and hit the spot. Restaurant is also very clean and plenty of room - including for large groups. We will be back!

Awesome everything. If there were 10 star to give, I would rate them with it! Everything was fantastic since the Welcome to the goodbye, our waiter was extremely kind and helpful, was my first time visiting the restaurant and I just love it. ❤️ I look forward to come visit again soon!

I’m Mexican and this place is delicious, authentic, and the prices are reasonable. It’s not on the menu but I ordered a torta for $8.99 I couldn’t get a fast food burger for this cheap in 2024. I also love coming for the $9.99 lunch specials I got a chimichanga, also delicious. The chips and salsa is free some Mexican restaurants are starting to charge for this which I think it’s ridiculous. I can drink the salsa they give you also I always order an extra cup. If I could give it ten stars, I would. Highly recommend.

I have to say Nandis (server) was extremely friendly, awesome service and exceptional attitude. I brought two friends for first time and definitely they enjoyed the ambient, the Margaritas were spectacular. I recommend this location 100%.

This restaurant is outstanding and one of the best, if not the absolute best MEXICAN restaurants in Florida!!! Food is outstanding and the Molcajete Tarasco is like Fajitas on steroids!! The service is excellent and the fried ice cream is perfect! Even with some minor increases in menu prices (as with most places), they are still a very good value!!! Still the greatest Mexican restaurant and they are an outstanding representation of a wonderful country!!

Very clean. Nice set up. Variety of options. We had a difficult time with spanish/English language. Service was ok. Taste was good. Hubby ordered chicken enchiladas. I ordered chicken flautas [5] on the plate. I should have gotten queso on mine to make them less dry. But flavor was good.

The food was GREaT as always… but the drinks 👎. I ordered a Paloma and it was more like an “ Agua Fresca”. I complained with the waitress and she politely apologized and brought another one. The second one was even worse, it tastes like a lemonade. Other than that it was good. Our waitress was very friendly and the food always good.

I was excited to see they opened a new location in this side of town; this location used to be consistent with the same good food and service from the original location. Unfortunately the service has gone down hill. In a nearly empty restaurant, there’s disputes in the front about what server gets what tables. Once seated, after 15 minutes our server never showed while other parties that came after were served. I’ll stick to the Kissimmee location.

I've been there once and order to go twice. Their food is good, molcajete, rice and beans are ok, the salad, meat... Staff are friendly. House margarita taste like lemon juice, but costs like a margarita. Environment is nice. That's it. To order a to go, you cannot call them, they don’t accept To go orders by phone, you have to download an app or create an account to place the order, and pay a little bit more for that.

I have been a frequent customer at this restaurant, as the food is great. However, the management—particularly my experience with the manager, Valeria—was disappointing. During my recent visit, I requested a takeout order to be prepared at the end of my meal. Instead, it was brought out with my dine-in food. When I reminded them it was for takeout, they insisted on packing it immediately, which I accepted. At the end of the meal, I received the takeout order, the bill, and noticed I had been charged for an extra item I never ordered. When I brought this to the attention of my server—who was new—she apologized but stated that since it had already been placed in the system, I would still be charged. To avoid any issues, I agreed to pay for it. However, when I got home, I discovered that not only was my takeout order incorrect, but I also never received the extra item I was charged for. I contacted the restaurant, expecting a resolution—either receiving the correct order or a reimbursement that would allow me to reorder via Uber Eats if necessary. To my surprise, the manager, Valeria, only offered a $5 refund, which was an unreasonable solution given the circumstances. When I explained that I simply wanted what I paid for, she stated that this was the best she could do and even dismissed my concerns, saying I was free to leave a negative review if I wished. I believe in fairness and gave the restaurant a chance to make things right with a reasonable resolution. A full refund or sending the missing items would have been the minimum appropriate response. I hope this incident prompts them to review their customer service approach, provide better training for new servers, and improve their management standards. Very disappointed.

If I could leave a zero I would. But in order to leave a review, I had to give one stars. Our experience was horrible. Not only was there a dog in the restaurant that kept barking and climbing on the table, and as I write this, another dog was allowed at a table as well. The fajitas were not hot, my son was told he couldn’t order chicken nuggets, and the drinks are supposed to have 2oz of tequila….they did not. When we asked to speak to the manager, he was unapologetic and non chalant. The table next to us asked to speak to the manager as well - this restaurant clearly has some issues and I would avoid coming here at all costs.

I love Mexican food but I can promise I will never eat at this establishment again. The food was not seasoned properly, it was cold and fatty. The refried beans were runny. Who messes up refried beans. They should not be able to claim the beat Mexican food in Central Florida. Not to mention the acoustics maybe it so loud you could not even have a conversation at your table. To add to the noise they have serves carts rolled across the title floor with class clanging together. The waitress never checked on us or asked us how our meal was. She asked if we wanted a box when we said no and explained. She just took our plates and walked away. Then brought our check. She never apologized or offered to get the manager. Save you time and money!!

Honestly, it wasn't a good experience for me or my friends. I ordered chicken and vegetables, but the vegetables they gave me were clearly frozen and had just been microwaved because they tasted bad. My friends' food was completely cold. The service wasn't good either; the waiter wasn't very attentive. And it wasn't because the restaurant was full. We were actually the first ones there since they had just opened. Anyway, that was my experience.

I ate here once before, I wasn’t blown away by the food but service was great. I came back when I returned to this side of town, that was a mistake. I ordered the duos amigos for lunch with grilled chicken… the chicken was so salty and peppered you couldn’t taste anything else, and the red sauce tasted like cheap pizza sauce. And while I asked for something different they just re made the same dish with shredded chicken… I ate just the chicken and left the rest but half an hour later I’m amigos with my toilet… while service was still good, I cannot recommend this overpriced duel sided laxative.
