It's a fancy schmancy Starbucks in upscale Lake Forest, and they pull it off well. Definitely one of the most high-end coffee shops in the chain with lots of speciality brewing equipment and limited edition blends available for $7, $8, it more pet cup. Fortunately, they also have all the usual selections at typical Starbucks prices. TIP: Stop by to get your regular fix and come back when you're ready to redeem your stars for a free drink. Last summer they had a bourbon-barrel aged ice coffee that was priced in the stratosphere but tasted amazing. The service is generally pretty good. Always friendly and professional. Occasional mistakes that they are very helpful about fixing. Not surprising to encounter some mix-ups given how busy they get -- especially on Sundays after church lets out. The courtyard in back it's terrific, often filled with a mix cyclists and dogs on the weekends. If Starbucks coffee is in your rotation and you're in the area, this is definitely worth checking out.

This is a classy place and the Reserve Bar is a HUGE credit to Lake Forest. The employees are super friendly and have forgotten more about coffee than I'll ever know. A delicious and unique selection makes for a must-visit location for coffee/Starbucks fans.

As for Starbucks, best one I've ever patronized. The atmosphere doesn't feel cookie cutter and corporate. I was served a double espresso in an actual cup with a free chaser of San Pell on a nice wooden tray. Nicely done Starbucks.

When it did have the Starbucks Reserve specialty drinks, I tried the Shakerato Bianco with one extra shot and it was so much more flavorful and rich than my usual 5 espresso shots over ice and dissolved raw sugar drink that I always order. Must be the Demerara syrup and sweet cream they add to make it the Shakerato. A little pricey if you do run into a Starbucks Reserve Store but I highly recommend it, you won't regret it. Worth every penny.

There was a young girl who wore glasses and had dark hair, i never got her name but she was my cashier when i went in with my friend. She was the sweetest thing ever, my friend was having a rough day and decided to go get a quick refresher to cheer her up & immediately the girl behind the cashier made us both smile and genuinely made our days talking to her. I wish i got her name to shout her out but she was the kindest most welcoming person ever. Her smile can go along ways.

Centrally located Starbucks - very near to the Metra Station, with a large interior space that still manages to feel cozy. Given the space, more patrons can be served and/or accommodated. Great service that includes Reserve coffee products. Love it!

very attractive interiors! This is the most beautifully designed starbucks I’ve seen. I tried the new cacao protein blended coffee and it wasn’t for me....just gonna stick to my favs (mocha/caramel frapps)

Had a meeting at Starbucks. We each got a drink and the staff let us talk for several hours. It was early afternoon and there were many other places for others. I had an iced latte...very good.

Understandable considering this is an extremely high traffic store due to the train station, but the management should account for that when they decide on how much staff to employ to keep the place clean.

Recently remodeled, upscale Starbucks. However, after the renovation this is no longer a Reserve location, which is disappointing. Standard Starbucks menu, but the store is big and has lots of comfy places to sit. Nice location in downtown LF.

This location makes a really good first impression. It is a large space with a lot of coffee options; big front windows and fireplace in the back section. There are many different seating options. At first I was very impressed; however, the entire front area was reserved for people/party/group that had not yet arrived. Others were saving one or more seats so I think there was one seat left in the entire place. It was also really loud. I’d try it again but generally I like to go to a Starbucks where I know I can get a seat.

We stopped during the art fair. Of course it was crowded and they handled it well. Latte to be enjoyed at an outdoor table on a beautiful day. Fun at the art fair and Starbucks capped it off.

The atmosphere is the main reason to come here. There are plenty of spots to sit down and do any work you have or to meet with others. In terms of the coffee, it can be hit or miss. I once had a Nitro Chai that was unbearable, but when I got a simple latte I wasn't mad. While I would recommend going to a local coffee shop instead to support the local economy, this place it not that bad.

Please call them before visiting they might be closed early. I’d have given it 5 stars as my experience of when I have been great. Including my orders. Although from the last two times I’d drive to this location after 15 mins drive to only be surprised that they closed early. And, this has caused so much disappointment and dissatisfaction. At least they should update it on Starbucks app and Google Maps.

UPDATE: Really nice people, but today it was hard to talk to my friend. Music was loud. This is normal at Starbucks. It's not inviting when the music is so loud you can't have a conversation. Does Starbucks really want us......or just our purchase? ------ I’ve been coming here a long time, but recently I’m seeing super slow prep of goods and brutal service. Today: 12 minutes for a sandwich. When I enquired, I was told I was standing in the wrong place. (Oh my. There is a specific place to stand). No effort to check out where my sandwich was, just a bitchy, “stand over there”. During the time I was standing and waiting, no one was warming things. This delay was mot caused by too many customers, it’s a management issue

I love this location, very nice inside, more merchandise options compared to others but they lack in the service department. Twice they got my order wrong.. barista couldn't even get a regular coffee right.

This review is not about Starbucks food/service or location, it’s about their merchandise I purchased a few days ago at this location. Starbucks products’ quality has gone down quite a bit in past few years. I used to purchase their coffee travel mugs or mugs in general and they were amazing quality (double walled lasted longer and felt expensive) but now I am so unhappy with this ceramic mug I got on the points we collected…lid just won’t stay on and I end up burning myself or spilling hot beverage when I try to push the lid on every time! I used to have their venti ceramic cup (no lid) that I used for many years until it broke and I couldn’t find a replacement. 2nd item I got on my points (which I feel like we wasted our points on) was their French press…I absolutely hate this- firstly haven’t businesses learnt about microplastic (which I understand is hard avoid as it’s in everything we eat/drink in..but come on- why can’t businesses take some responsibility for not offering non-environmentally safe products) and why would you make a damn press made completely with plastic that is suppose to hold boiling hot beverages! I was super disappointed when I found out it was made of plastic after I used it as it felt like thin glass material while at the store. I have never had to return anything I purchased from Starbucks and was embarrassed about returning both products but I wish I could and get my points back which I earned by spending everyday at Starbucks! I feel robbed or cheated to be honest. Never purchasing merchandise from Starbucks again.

Dubious quality and quantity. Paid 5 dlls for a cold drink -strawberry and asai- and it was full if ice. Nobody asks you if you want it with or without ice, they just put it blatantly. You basically pay for ice. Bacon and eggs breakfast same, not taste and too small. Waste of time, money, today last time I buy food there.

We stayed in the area for our son’s Navy graduation. On the morning to leave I thought it would be nice to enjoy a cup of coffee. Arrived at this particular Starbucks very early in the morning and at the door at 5:30am. The manager Mal unlocked the door, turned her back and walked away. Immediately upon entering no good morning, hello, how can we help you, a friendly greeting by anyone would’ve been nice, kind, welcomed! Even emailed the district manager and no response. This Starbucks gets a 👎🏼 The Deer Path Inn and shops in the walking area were great! This particular day and time the staff was not congenial. 😒☕️🥐

No manager on premises only a supervisor who thought it was a good idea to reprimand an employee for helping a customer in front of the entire coffee house. Extremely unprofessional. She also felt it was a grand idea to tell the customer who defended the employee, to leave the store or she was calling the cops. I’m quite certain the cops have more important things to tend to, than to show up at Starbucks simply because she was called out on an embarrassing situation she caused. I felt bad for the nice young man helping the customer, I felt bad for the customer, and felt bad for all of us on line having to witness the horrific behavior. Total disrespect for customers!!!

Trying to get someone’s attention to the fact that the app has several glitches that don’t allow for ordering reserve coffee. Many options labeled as “not sold at this location” when in fact they are. Love this Starbucks and hope they can sort this out soon. Big kudos to Ryan who always make sure we get the orders right despite the app glitches.

I am so disappointed with this, I was craving some hot chai for the chilly morning but instead i received this watered-down disgusting one. I should have just gone to Dunkin cause atleast i would be able to taste the chai
