Stopped in for a slice just because they were the closest pizza to where we were staying in Lake Grove. Now I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The pizza slices were wonderful and the staff was so friendly. You can tell from the way the restaurant is taken care of that the owners are invested in its success. My only regret is that I did not ask to see all the available slices before ordering a cheese slice. The assorted pizzas are by the front counter. Next time I’ll ask and be more adventurous in my choice.

The food and wines were incredible here! Probably one of the best pasta places I have been to till date. We arrived last night almost 15th a before their closing time. We were greeted well and were not rushed the entire time, which was great! While placing order, they served us some bread, garlic knots and butter (not great quality since the bread and knots were very hard). We started with some zucchini fries (very tasty, would appreciate if they were less oily). The marinara sauce served with the zucchini was very tasty and adequately flavored. They had options of ordering half plate pasta - which is a GREAT thing to do considering that way you can control your portions and sample more items. We ordered some Alfredo fettuccine (good), penne bolognese (tasty), penne Gamberi (loved it, so flavorful). The merlot and the dessert wine were good. The chocolate cheesecake was very good, not unnecessarily thick, appropriately sweet. Price wise it is moderate to towards high, ambience is decent. Overall I would have rated this place a 4 but the taste of the food made it a 5. Would love to try more of their dishes soon!

Umberto's of Lake Grove is an excellent location for pizza. They provide a wide range of slice and pie options. In addition to pizza, they also feature a delightful menu for lunch or dinner, including pastas, salads, and more. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. There is ample seating available, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. Enjoy a slice.

great pizza our server/counter person who was the girl with the lip and nose ring was condescending, rude and what felt like completely ignoring my family. Come to find out we were charged for things we didn’t even order and she came back saying we were still $15 short after making sure to give her the right amount of money but apparently it wasn’t there anymore! If you come please avoid female employee with lip ring and nose ring, I have come here so many times and never have i seen an employee just be so in their own world and full of narcissism .

Had to leave a review. Regular slice of pizza... not great. I'd give it a 5.3 out of 10. I've had worse but rarely on long island. Their Grandma Vodka pizza, however, is great. Its got to be one of the best Grandma Vodka slices I've ever had. And if I have the option I always order Grandma Vodka slices because they remind me of family gatherings at my Nana's (i miss those times). But now this is my new favorite. Either here or Marys in Islip Terrace, or if your in Nassau: Vincents in Bellmore

Burnt my Sicilian pie when ordered last week , but the buffalo chicken slice was still pretty good, their still better than most pizza places but it was def an off day last time I was there to pick up the Sicilian

I enjoyed everything about my experience at Umberto’s besides the charge I didn’t authorize. I got counter service last night and paid with card, but today I saw a posted charge that was more than what the cashier told me last night. I called and asked why, and the girl said it’s because using card adds an extra charge to the total, but 1) the ‘card specific’ total should have been disclosed to me when I paid, and 2) this was NOT the case when I went here a few weeks ago also using card and counter service. Because of this, I’m not returning for a while. The extra charge was $5 and although it’s not significant, I personally value full transparency at the time of payment, and $5 is more than a pizza slice here sooo I think it’s unusual being that I didn’t authorize it. This probably only happened to me and nobody else but it’s fine, I’m just not going here again.

I don't know if the pizza guy had a bad day or what, but this is not Long Island Pizza. It tastes like pizza from a different state, the dough is weird, the crust is super thick and weird, everything about it is just odd.

1.18.26 Take out order number 2673 around 6:30pm Online menu says 1 price, go to pickup order and final price is significantly higher Call after I get home, was told by the guy taking phone orders, it is was it is and they haven’t updated their online menu. Sorry you are going to have to deal with it And that there is no manager to talk to. Will never recommend or go back on sheer principle! $40 for a pie hahahahahahha GFY

I ordered the shrimp marinara, and to my surprise, the dish came with a hair tangled on top. I called the waiter, who took the plate back to the kitchen and then returned with it, saying it was “from the clams.” But it clearly wasn’t—the hair wasn’t wet or covered in sauce; it was just sitting on top, as if it had fallen in during plating. After that, I felt too uncomfortable and disgusted to keep eating. The waiter asked if I wanted to order something else and brought me the menu, but no one ever came back to take my order. They just ignored me, and I ended up leaving without eating.

An $18 salad with bad lettuce. First and last time ordering from here. Pure carelessness. Quality is not good at all and when I called all the guy kept saying was sorry sorry. Sorry doesn't fix it and if you are prepackaging you should pay attention to the lettuce which is the first to go bad in a salad.

First, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and wings. Online the order totaled $33, when we picked it up it was $43. On the website, the wings say 10 for $9.95, when we got there they charged us $16 for 8 wings. Ridiculous- I would never pay that much for wings. We called and complained and all they said were prices changed today. They charged us a fee for not paying cash, but didn’t tell us about it! We had cash and would’ve paid with it if we knew! And the cherry on top, we got home and the pizza was burnt! Not worth the crazy expensive prices. Used to be good, now won’t go back.
