We went to the Setauket Chili's to celebrate my 70th birthday, which is actually Wednesday. We've been to several Chili's over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. The staff are so nice and friendly. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.And as we were enjoying our desserts,the clapping started off in the distance and made its way to our table.What fun!!We'll Be back!!

Our waitress was fantastic. The meals were as expected, great fajitas and chicken salad. Our drinks were perfect. When you factor the price into the equation, you get five stars,, and we left a 30% cash tip. Lately, the fajitas were bland. Still, the price is right.

My waitress Kristy and the manager Ashley have always been more than accommodating. I bring my residents in wheelchairs there, not only do they hold the doors for everyone, they are so helpful and responsive to our group. The hostess and bartender also help to get us in. Food was fantastic (I had the mozzarella sticks that I 1000% recommend anyone have!!!) The service me and my girlfriend received made me feel like we were the only people in the building even during rush. Never felt so good about eating so much lol I definitely recommend this place. There’s a reason why this place has little to no 1 star reviews. Definitely worth the money!

i was skeptical of chilis before going there, but my girlfriend convinced me to go and i actually really liked it! the food was good for the price, and i found myself being spiced out by my roasted jalapeño. compliments to the chef, they really know how to roast a jalapeño. i then struggled to eat the rest of my meal as my mouth was exceeding the minimal safe limit of spice, but it was a joy to have finally met my spiciness match. 10/10, would eat here again.

One of my favorite chain restaurants. It’s a bit annoying how often they change their menu, but their food is consistent and service is quick. I hope they bring back the California flatbread at some point.

matt was the best server i have ever had in this establishment. He was very entertaining and a very nice and engaging person. Everyone who comes here should request matt as a waiter. He also said he would pay for my table of 13 if someone at our table at clash royale. (if he asks you don’t do it he is ranked top 500 in the world).

The family & I had an amazing experience here today. Our waitress Ashley was very kind & patient with us, & she's very friendly! The food tasted great, & the environment was awesome. Undeterred by the twenty-minute wait, we decided to grab a seat at the bar. Next up were the Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks, which were, quite simply, inspired. Fried outer breading giving way to melted cheese, coated with hot, but not too hot dressing. After placing our orders, we took a moment to soak in the atmosphere—another highlight of the South Setauket Chili’s. With over 3 big-screen TVs playing that night’s sports, there was never a dull moment. My Santa Fe Burger arrived promptly. The presentation was phenomenal: guacamole peeking out beneath a golden-brown bun, a perfectly cooked patty smothered in tangy sauce, and a gentle layer of red onions—an inspired concoction. As I enjoyed the side of French fries, the flavor instantly transported me back to Coney Island as a boy, sharing fries with my father after the Tilt-A-Whirl. That was before the accident, before everything changed... My partner’s quesadilla was seared to perfection. We were tempted by the Hot Fudge Lava Cake, but unfortunately left no room after indulging in the delicious offerings of the South Setauket Chili’s. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll certainly be returning to the South Setauket Chili’s

Always a favorite if looking for a relatively quick (depending on how busy) and inexpensive, but tasty meal. Servers are always very quick and friendly at this location, as are the bartenders. Food comes out warm/hot and is great for the price! Not fine dining, but nice atmosphere to go with a group of friends, family, or dinner for two. Will keep returning!

Great as always. My friend and I love this place for lunch. Today we ordered salmon with rice and broccoli. I liked the food very much. The broccoli were cooked just the way I like them. Unfortunately, in most places, broccoli are usually served overcooked. The fish was delicious and the sauce was the right addition to it. Thank you! Тhe pay at the table machine is great, when your done you pay and go. If you can't do it, the waiter will always help.

Prices are reasonable. They always have deals. The mozz sticks are huge. Burgers decent, good fajitas. Last time we went, our waiter was really great hence the 5 stars.

Staff is always super friendly & food is always delicious! My only issue is that all Chili's have changed their Chili recipe & it tastes like crap now! It used to be my favorite item to order on the menu. Apparently, they no longer make it fresh in house & it's now shipped frozen to them...I was told this by an employee & not sure if it's true or not but if you're going to name your restaurant Chili's, you should atleast have good tasting chili.

Pretty good food. I really like that menu shows the calories of every item. It always helps me to avoid the burgers, UNLESS I'm very hungry, and have burned 1500 calories before arriving. The menu here is consistently good enough - it matches well enough with my healthy diet - that I still enjoy eating here!

Not on our way or anywhere close to us but just happened to go there for lunch and my first time ever. Enjoyed the chicken fajita, big enough for two people. My son enjoyed the big mouth bites.Would definitely go again but different location.

We went for a date night. We had the Triple Dipper appetizer, a cup of chicken enchilada soup, and a cup of loaded potato soup. All was good. Noa was our waitress. She was clear, kind, thorough, attentative, and very professional.

Solid chilis resturant. I get take out here often on the 3 for me deal and it can't be beat. Legit amazing burger and good sides f or a LOW price.

Stopped in late for a quick bit after the movies and it hit the spot. Great friendly staff. Quick fried food.

We went there for my daughter’s birthday the kids loved it. The food was average for a chain. But our server, Matt was amazing! He was so friendly and great with the kids and attentive to all their needs. He made it a great meal! Will definitely be requesting him for our server next time we go!

The food was OK. I would eat there again if the dining area was cleaner and the tables were wiped down. Stepping onto food when seated is not my thing. If the dining area isn't clean, what's the kitchen look like?? Once in a while after a mad rush, I get it. It happens. It's every time I go there. My favorite meal at Chili's is the Quesadilla Explosion salad.

Walking up the sidewalk to the front we were confronted with a dry vomit spatter. Walking in, the place smells like old cafeteria and dirty mop. We were greeted promptly and seated. Couldn’t help but notice that the male servers wore the tightest jeans I’ve ever seen. Not complaining one bit but Dayum! The food was good and service friendly. I had the fajitas and guacamole. The guac was made with real avocados and the shrimp tasted fresh. No complaints about the food. The atmosphere felt like a retirement home living room after a losing big tv game. They have potential but the spirit of the place is in a coma. For the price, I don’t want to smell foul smells. Sorry

Our server Hailey was great, friendly always stopped by even will all the other tables. Food came out quickly. The place was packed, had about 30min wait for 3 people Friday night. There was garbage on the floor, my Quesadilla was very dry and cold and the chicken was tough, like it was sitting around. The chips for the appetizer were good and fresh and margaritas are always good. Not rushing back.

Food is fine, like any Chilis. But service not great, sat in the bar area and they just allow dirty plates to pile up on the table instead of actually cleaning anything up. Service needs to be improved.

Soups were too salty (3 of us) but tasty. Server girl on Long Island was great. Chili's food is pretty heavy in general but OK every now and then. Burgers are good.

Some dishes are awesome, my girl loves the quesadilla. But the fajitas are not as good in my opinion. They like to put guests to tables close to the washroom. Space is a bit limited too. We changed table when we arrived and two other groups also changed tables when we were there.

Walked in & was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and seated with menus. The server came over right away for our drink order. He was energetic and pleasant. It was busy, but not too loud. For starters, we ordered the Appetizer Trio and chose Southwest Egg rolls, Hamburger sliders, and chicken tenders. The egg rolls were very good, as well as the tenders. The sliders were too overcooked, and we couldn't find sautéed onions, and the bacon was non-existent bits. My husband ordered the steak and chicken Fajitas, which he enjoyed, although it was a fairly small portion. I ordered the Quesadilla salad, and it was excellent, a generous portion. Service was good, our drinks were kept full. An overall nice experience.

Our dinner began on a good note... Waiter seemed great and upbeat. Appetizers came out lightning quick. When ordering our dinners we made it crystal clear of a food allergy. The kitchen screwed up our order and we gave it back to the person that served it to us. From here things went downhill and it was a bad dining out experience.

This place was disappointing. We normally frequent the Chili's in Bayshore. So we assumed this one would be the same. NEGATIVE. The first sign was the Dive bar like smell when you walk in. Our food wasn't all bad but the Mac-n-cheese was watery, like you can pour it like juice. So we're the ranch, blue cheese, etc. The lemonade tast like water down cheap minute maid. Both the men and women's bathrooms were gross. On the way back to my table, I got a glimpse of the kitchen, and that was even worse. The floors look dirty, and the wood in between booths are all dusty and dirty. We didn't even finish our meal. I'll never be back and will warn anyone I can. Left a tip amd paid the $90 bill amd left... smh

I normally am very happy with Chili's, however. At my most recent visit, we felt very rushed. As we were ordering everything, our drinks came out, and I am all for efficiency, but within 2 minutes of placing our order for everything, the appetizers came out. Again, I was very impressed with how quickly the food came out, but less than a minute after the appetizer, we got the main food, so we wound up with everything on the table at once. After we got our food, the waitress did not make another appearance at our table until about 10 mins later, when we were still eating, and asked us if we wanted dessert. We also did not get asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, so we wound up thirsty at the end. Also, we were expecting the free chips deal that we used to get with the chili's rewards, and we didn't get the free chips. We also love the fried pickles and just found out that they were taken off the menu. However, the waitress told us that it had been since last March that they weren't on the menu, even though I remember being there less than 2 weeks ago and fried pickles were on the menu. And to top it all off, my party and I got stomachaches after eating.

Small portions, long long wait times, food was okay in taste but not after I waited for about 50 minutes. The waiter also almost gave our food to other people. Ruined my view of Chili’s, which I thought was a good baby back baby back ribs place but now it’s a bad place to eat. We also saw someone eat someone’s fry right from their order right before they brought it out to them. Was strange and gave us a weird vibe about our food. The garlic bread was also missing from our smokehouse combo one time. They didn’t even have the awesome blossom with extra awesome!

Been coning to this chilis since opened once a week, even ordered during covid. Now they don't do there 2 for 1 wine. Sadly I will be saving alot of money now, and there tips will be alot less. Have to find another once a week wine night. Not for nothing wine isn't expensive, so really makes no sense.UDDATED, NO MORE WHITE Zinfandel. ......Ridiculous I'm done.

Ordered an appetizer which arrived not too long after the order was placed. Just about 2 minutes after the main course, Fajitas arrived. Chicken was not cooked all the way through, was not hot and was like rubber. Have been to other Chiles that were much better. Hence, the reason for this review.

Ordered rib eye steak medium well.unsure what cut they actually served me but was very well done and tough.sent it back.they brought out another steak totally different cut still well done but slightly less tough.horrible! Mashed potatoes from a bag/piwder.....no baked potatoes available.got corn as 2nd side.definetly canned.and sadly the corn was all i ate ...usually go to Texas roadhouse for my ribeye .was with others who wanted to try chilis.if you're ok with a hamburger chilis is fine.other then that dont waste your time or $$

Was seated by the bar, it was pretty noisy, we ordered a chicken and steak fajita for two. Just passable very small portions of the sides, not impressed soupy black beans. Waiter was nice but absent.

Our waiter, Sean, who also happened to be the bartender, gave sub par service. We had a table NEXT to the bar and had to use the bathroom. We specifically told him as there was only 2 of us at the table and if we both left to use the restroom, we didn’t want it to seem like we left and didn’t pay. When we came back, not even 5 minutes later, our food was cleared and pushed to the edge of the table, as well as silverware in our glasses so we could not even drink our drinks anymore at that point. Instead of telling the bus boy when we left, he chose to watch tv as there was only one person at the bar and he never checked up on any of his (3) tables, ours being one. He didn’t apologize and tried to put the blame on the bus boy even though he was just doing his job and was the only one out of the two of them that apologized. He didn’t give me a straw or napkins, both of which I had to ask for even though, again, we were directly next to the bar, so pretty hard to miss us. He was nice, just so dumb. I have never seen such an oblivious server. I had complained to the manager, unfortunately I did not get his name, but he was such a sweetheart and did adjust our check accordingly. He was very apologetic and so nice I almost felt bad for complaining that’s how nice he was. Our drinks were empty at the edge of the table for about 15 minutes, another thing of which he had not noticed as well as when he came back and saw our food had been pushed to the side (cleaned up) he didn’t offer to get us new food or drinks, which again, had utensils in them and cleaner next to our food so it was no longer safe to eat, so we had to ask for new drinks at least.. as if it wasn’t obvious. Again, he was nice, just so oblivious to his surroundings which is not a good quality to have in a waiter or a bartender. (Coming from a former waitress and a former restaurant supervisor)

The chiles app has “get in line” to reserve your table. For 7+ it says to call the restaurant , so I did and they said they can’t put out name down for a table. This makes no sense at all and really silly as we’d generate more money than others. So instead we went somewhere else due to their bizarre rules. Management should prob think about this !!!

Always messing up orders. You order delivery and they forget half your order and even forget to put sauce on the pasta and they can’t do anything about it. They deliver, but refuse to deliver the items they themselves forgot or messed up on. You literally have a list of what we ordered in front of you, how do you forget to put items in the bag? Unless they are marking them off and taking the food for themselves. Not worth the hassle for the food.

Felt very closterphobic in there everyone was on top of one another. Spending $74 and still feeling hungry after getting 2 slider meals a kids meal 1 beer and 1 appetizer will go to Applebees for now on . Another thing is the selection not much to pick from .

My family and I visited this location for the first time during lunch hours. We ordered 2 sepetate lunch salad and burger. I requested no mustard and fries and other everything and fries. They gave me the wrong burger and drink and other order without fries. We were only one at that time, she got our order wrong and we waited for the fries and still didn't get it. I would not be coming to this location again. I might as well gone to the Chills in Bayshore

It was not very good. We ordered two burgers and fries and they were out to us in 4 minutes flat. Asked how could they have been cooked so fast and he walked away. 40 dollars down the drain. Waiting for the Ecoli to set in.

Really, really, really has gone downhill. Haven’t been to Chili’s in a while. Sat at the bar. Both the food and service have declined. Bartender named Sean totally inattentive. Made many mistakes on my order. Gave me wrong happy hour two-for-one wine order but charged me for both anyway…Threw away my dinner without asking if I was finished. Bar was playing reruns of the Super Bowl on all the TV’s 4 days after game. Stupidity. On top of this, the food sucked. I ordered fajitas. Chicken and beef were chewy and tuff. I had about a teaspoon of guacamole and cheese. Could barely find any rice or peppers. Like as if they were rationing food. I see can see Chili’s filing for Bankruptcy within the next few years. A must miss!

Came in on a Sunday with a friend and when we ask the hostess for a table of two, she barely acknowledged us and shrugged. However, when other people came in after us she greeted them and ask for their number for the waitlist and give them an estimated time. She didn’t do that for us and just told us “I don’t know”.

Literally disgusting. The past 3 times that we've ordered on Uber Eats, our food has been freezing cold, stale tasting, missing items, and just over all NOT GOOD. Tonight was the last straw - not ordering from here ever again. We keep coming back because Chili's has such good ranch (and we're not even ranch people, at all)... but tonight they didn't even include our ranch, so this was a major waste of $100. NEVER AGAIN!

He always took my specific needs into account and made sure we were taken care of. Other servers were dismissive and seemed to be miserable at work. I recently went and requested him to find out he no longer works there. Extremely disappointing!

TLDR: got double billed, called in to get it fixed and got nothing but anger, attitude, and no resolution Made a To-Go order, when we went to pick it up the worker offered to split the check for us. We said sure, but seemingly we shouldn’t have. Two out of three of us paid before the server told us that they had put it through wrong and we would have to redo it. Claimed the charges wouldn’t go through, even though I immediately saw the charge (granted it was pending). Said the charges would drop off, and if they didn’t to just give a call. We then had to wait an extra ten minutes for the server to get the override key(?) to run our charges again. Fast forward three days and the charges have both posted fully to our bank accounts. I make a call in to the restaurant and am transferred to a manager. The conversation started by the manager picking up the call and snapping “are you (friends name)?” I tried to explain the situation as calmly as I could, but he had nothing but attitude for me. He wanted me to verify every item in the order, including the specific items of the triple dippers my friends ordered. Got very mad when I tried to ask questions, told me he couldn’t see the charge I was referring to, and told me it would “go away in a few days”. I get that sometimes there are mistakes or computer errors, but as someone who works in customer service I have never spoken to someone on the phone the way I was spoken to by the manager.

I was really disappointed with this online order that I received . The salmon looked okay at first glance, but it was dry and not very flavorful. The fries were soggy and greasy, and it felt like they were sitting in the container too long. The broccoli wasn’t seasoned and tasted bland. Overall, the meal didn’t feel fresh, and the quality just wasn’t worth the price. I expected a lot better.
