Què diuen els clients de SAC Food Court
SAC Food Court offers a buffet-style dining experience with varied options, though quality can be inconsistent. The omelet station, especially Figen's omelets, receives high praise. Some find the food repetitive and geared towards profit maximization, with occasional issues of raw food.

Tip: West Side Dining is open until 3am, making it a good option for late-night munchies. Be cautious of the late-night sushi.

AMAZING FOOD
Good foods
SLAPS😪😪😪😪😋😋
Don't even bother going to East Dining
I like the service and the food
Good options!
Devon DReal Toney and Latoyal Toy Bazmore fight until it's replacements ...
Awesome food selection and everything is very good and tasty
Great variety of cuisine. Highly recommend made to order pasta.
Best food and all you can eat open until 3am
No complaints what so never good place to eat mingle and maintain !
Not bad as dining hall food goes!
Great food. Generous and dedicated chefs
It is great on a bad day. Most days are good enough so...
Best dine in location on campus, honestly.
Nice clean open late friendly staff
Very clean and the burgers are amazing
Anywhere between $8-$12 depending on the time of day. All you can eat! Only during Spring and Fall sessions.
Good food, spacious and luxurious! The grill section is amazing!
Figen makes the best omelette!!
The omelet station is amazing.
Great music, great vibes, the workers are nice and the food is pretty good. Lots of different options to choose from, plus dessert! A lot cleaner and organized compared to other dining halls.
It's campus food therefore won't be the best. If you eat there often, you will get tired of it quickly. However it is buffet style so you can eat whatever you want there. Expect longer lines at the chinese food section.
Really good food and lots of places to sit. Came as student so I can't comment on the walk-in price. Better food and more choices then East Side Dining. Lighting is nice and they have some food that is unique to West Side Dining. It gets really crowded during dinner since that is when the Asian cuisines are served.
Some of the food is ok, and I would say that the buffet style is nice. As far as cafeteria food cause it's good for undergrad dining. I'm not an undergrad Kama so I hardly eat here because I have a lot of other options. The negative is that you can tell it's engineered by experts to maximize profit and, so it may not be always obvious, to screw over the undergrads and make them pay way more and the value they're actually getting. The best part is the Fresh Grill that gives cheeseburgers and french fries.
Late night food is good 👍
Better than East Side Dining
Lots of option, clean, reasonable price
Solid..like it's food
"Its a 7/10 late at night"
>East
Good for having dinner and lunch
Food is as always fine. Their hours are annoying now though because they close at 10pm
It was good for campus food I guess. But it’s still campus food.
It's nicer here for some reason than East
A lot better than Eastside Dinning
College campus. Mixed buffet at great price.
Unlimited food, but usually same food everyday.
The food is fresh and there are a lot of options for vegetarians and even vegans. Make sure to check the menu and prices according to the time before you visit.
I love this place for the taste and the choices for the food. But during pandemic the options have totally gone down. It's no more the same place.
Decent food at an ok price. Don't go expecting something amazing, but it fills you up and usually s ok.
Booths are lovely. Great view of Kelly quad. Try mixing different cereals together! Why!
Reasonably priced all you can eat cafeteria. If you do not like food sitting in trays, you can always ask them to make a fresh batch for you
Even with the changes, I think the employees are really kind and willing to take student opinions into consideration.
so good and plenty of foods from my culture!! only complaint is that there is rarely anything healthy in the mornings other than water oatmeal :(
Decent food. It looks good but tasteless (It's edible)
Really hit or miss with this one, especially since SBU relies on an outside catering company known as CulinArt, and they run this facility. Generally friendly staff, the same food options that differ slightly (in both quality and variety) day-to-day, coupled with a small chance of food poisoning, often due to accidental mishandling. The atmosphere is vibrant and simple, and the music is a bit too loud sometimes. Recommended for those with meal swipes or takeout boxes.
Roommates with Wayne; that omlette station is AMAZING. Four stars 'cus it alone doesn't outweigh the rest of West Side, but if it gah DAYUM if it ain't good.
For food that students complain about, it could be much worse. Most likely has one or two things you'll like to eat, many students seem to get sick of the food, which is understandable.
Food tends to be better in quality and variety at West Side Dining than at East Side Dining. Avoid the late night sushi, which it isn't uncommon to get food poisoning from at either dining hall. The chicken wings at late night on Mondays are good. The food tends to be less oily than at East Side Dining as well.
Way more variety than east or SAC, great deli corner and Asian variety corner, wonderful staff, and a changing menu. However come at the wrong times like 2am and expect nothing more than a tiny salad bar and a ton of pizza, hit dogs, and burgers.
4 stars because there's a bunch of vegan options and it looks really nice. Also open until 3am so if you get 2am munchies you got food. Better than east side dining.
Its alright
Clean place...
For students mainly, according to their diet
Not as satisfying as other options on campus
Buffet style, food is so so
Good food
Food is mediocre at best
They are closed
Mid
Food is barely okay. But it has a variety of options which is a plus point.
The only dining hall on campus that has less than whole milk. This is a cry for help.
this semester is clearly poor than the last one, no matter taste and genre.
Decent selection of food, however low quality.
I just passed there to get upstairs, to the radio station.
The food options are very repetitive! Lobster Night!!!!
For the two months, it is delicious. But after that, you have to get same meats, same noodles, same potato chips, same deserts, same salads, and same not delicious pasta.
Its quality decreased by going from retail to dine-in, but it still is very accommodating to Vegetarians
The food is ok. It's a buffet style so if you like that is good.
It's West Side Dining. It's typical college fare, and probably a right sight better than some of the other options on campus. It's mainly worth the cost if you're on a swipes meal plan or hungry. Golden Bowl tends to be one of the better options here, though it's only available during lunch and dinner hours. East has better fro-yo though.
Fair enough!
Quality of the food is not good
Expensive
Food is terrible
The food is very low quality. People are great though.
I wouldnt eat here if i could help it. The food is very hit or miss. The only decent food here is the blueberry waffles which is just batter.
The food in here tastes not good(breakfast is good tho) but 2 stars for the best cafeteria on campus.
Food ain't it, but the staff is at least nice.
Man the food is pretty bad. If you have the swipes to burn its fine
The chefs and the people who work there are very nice and professional and the facility is clean and modern but thats not what I'm paying for. All the other positive reviews didnt take a lot of things into consideration, this place at most gets 3 stars. I understand there isnt enough time to produce enough for thousands of students in a matter of time, but oh boy a lot of the cooked foods are disgusting and atrocious. When a single student pays over 2,500$ for food per semester, there is an expectation that the food is cooked properly and that a student can consume other options. The best thing here is the pizza which fresh and delicious. The salads and sandwhiches are also fresh and delicious but those are the cold foods. Most of the heated meals are completely disgusting. Chickens and beefs arent heated enough so when you chew on them they feel like you are biting on a tire. Sauces such as tomato and alfredo sauces convert into solids when you put it on your pasta. When they try to make Asian food whether chinese or indian, its basically a DIY experiment gone wrong where they pick random ingredients and mix it together and call it day. They also mass produce french fries, hot dogs and hamburgers to the max. Who the hell is going to eat that stuff everyday for 120 days or 4 months. Either lower the price for the meal plan that way you pay less for very low quality food, or if students are going to pay thousands of dollars, up your game and increase the quality of the food by a lot. Staff is very professional, helping and kind in every way.
Only eat here cause I have to
Literally no good food, except Chinese food
Had to leave and they wouldn't let me back in.
Only eat here cause I have too
Bad food
I wouldn't put this on anyone
Feelsbadman.jpg
awful
the vegetables are always either raw or over cooked and have less seasoning than an unsalted cracker
The food is terrible, it's $10 to get in but you'll lose your appetite almost immediately
If I had to choose between east side dining vs west side dining, I would choose my sanity and starve.
Tastes like moldy dog food
They serve "buffet food" now which is just a sad excuse for heated frozen food. Selection is very limited and staff is neither helpful nor friendly. Don't recommend this place and would suggest one of the other dining halls.
Given me food poisoning and allergic reactions many times. As much as I love Stonybrook University, the dine-in food courts are sadly atrocious
Awful cheap food. Loaded with salt, After one week of eating this food I was sick to my stomach. But you can't blame the workers though.
Extremely Disappointed by the food here. As someone who relies heavily on the dining hall to get my daily nutritional quota, I am very disappointed in the food options. I have seen raw food and health violations. 5 stars if the ice cream machine would work all the time. I am a local guide btw.
If I could give this less than one star I would. This is so disgusting I would often go whole days without eating because eating food from here is only marginally better than starving. You might think, oh he's just picky, or oh he's just elitist, no, this is just that bad. I've eaten food from every corner of the world and I can definitively tell you that I would rather have to scavenge the fruit from the campus fruit trees and survive that way then eat the collection of soggy cardboard and rat tendons that they serve at this dining hall.
The food variety is good and it is displayed very nice but when the quality is trash, what is the point? Unfortunately, the only concern is mass producing and increasing speed, meanwhile the quality is far below the expectation even from a buffet. Two years ago it was good (considering the price, I would have give it 3-4 stars) but in the last two years increasing the price and decreasing the quality consistently made this place an absolute zero (too bad the minimum score is 1 star). I strongly believe the person who is in charge in this place has a medical condition that cannot taste food, otherwise there is not any other explanation for it.
I came here one time to visit my friend who goes to this university. At first the food didn't seem so bad, but after I got the dumplings I wanted to throw up. They turned out to be raw and I received no compensation for the expensive price I paid for some raw food. Outrageous.
