Stopped at K-bob's in Lamesa and had a great time. Food was really good and the waitress,Paula, was attentive and provided great service. This is the second time I have stopped at a K-bobs and they did not disappoint.

The Smokehouse burger was just the food that I needed after a very long day at work. Their sweet tea is the best in Lamesa. Friendly staff that is quick to tend to your every need.

Love the service, only had desert (brownie sundae) it was very good! Lucinda was such a great waitress, definitely going back soon. 👍🏼

Went in for a celebration and it was perfect for the occasion the Steaks were on point and the drinks were amazing our server Cassidy had the perfect recommendations for us the service was great attentive but not overbearing we will be back for some more of the great food and amazing service cant wait til next time! As always KBobs has an excellent salad bar with super fresh selections...and lots of selections. The salad bar also includes soup, which is also excellent. This particular K boys is located in the Texas capital for chicken fried steak so of course we had to try some...excellent! Crispy coating and lots of white graveyard.

This place gets 5 stars for service alone. We had driven for hours in a big truck looking for somewhere to enjoy a sit down meal where we could park a semi truck. Lights were on but when we came in one waitress said they were closed. I explained our situation and she went to get the manager. He took us to a table and asked us to go to the salad bar before it was taken away. The salad bar was fresh despite the late hour. The steaks were cooked to the temperature we ordered and tender. The baked potatoes were good. The hot rolls were a bit tough but soft on the inside which is expected that late into the evening. The servers were all friendly. Our waiter was attentive. The cook came to our table to make sure the steaks were cooked to our liking and the manager stopped by again to make sure we were satisfied with everything. We are so grateful they didn't turn us away. The food was good, the price was fair, and it was an overall good dining experience. We plan to stop in again next time we are in the area.

Little disappointed that they did not have a small rib eye on the menu. I ordered the smallest which was $20. The steak was fresh from the grill, hot and juicy..... excellent. The sides though were lukewarm. The fried okra was soggy, they broccoli rice casserole was so greasy and stiff. My 5 star review is only because the steak was so good. Service was also very nice. Nice size servings.....

Great, awesome staff. The prices are reasonable, the drinks are fantastic, menu has great options. Experience is worth it. After being placed on a very restrictive diet I typically avoid eating out because I don’t want to bother the wait staff. However, driving through Lamesa we stopped to eat. Our waitress Gail was so helpful. She pointed me to wonderful meat and dairy free options that I was able to eat. When unsure she asked the kitchen staff. I left so full and happy. Thank you Gail for the great experience.

Very great restaurant! I had the catfish filet let's and they were very good. The service was very good. I had my drinks refilled even before I had finished it. The staff was nice, but not as great as I had seen other reviewed having. Overall, this is a great place to go and this restaurant had definitely improved over the years.

We were a table of 7 on the last visit. Everyone ordered something different and everything was served at the same time, hot and cooked well. I had the all you can eat salad bar and it had a good selection. I stop in when I am passing through just for coffee and always have a great experience.

I come here so often because the food is so good. I feel respected by the staff although they do forget to come and check if we need something after we get the food. But the food is fresh and delicious. The salad bar is my favorite and always fresh.

Steak, baked potato, asparagus perfect. Meatloaf, mashed taters omg to die for its taken me awhile to find good, moist meatloaf. Good job. We will be back. Our waitress was average may of been new. Our table was dirty.

EXCELLENT place to eat!! We were traveling back home to Lubbock and stopped at KBobs in Lamesa for dinner. They have added several new entrees and lots of vegetable choices besides the fresh salad bar. BEST fresh squash I have had in a while! They have also added a very nice outdoor patio for dining. Food, service, and prices were all awesome!! Definitely recommend!!

It was the most delicious meal I’ve had in my life and I’ve been to 3 star Michelin restaurants. It was so delightful. It brought tears to my eyes because it tasted like my moms steak before she passed away and I lost her recipes. there was also they had green trucks that were like boxes and it was so cool. It reminded me of my mom who died last year.

Perfect spot to have family dinner and the food is delicious! Every server we’ve previously had have been sweet and very helpful in making the experience the best… Priscilla is my favorite 🤩 🩷

Driving through and stopped here after a long drive to rest. Food was fresh and made to order. Staff was courteous and friendly. Our waiter Paula was very nice and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Went for the salad wagon and it was very good. Server stayed on top of my refills the whole time I was there. When I have more time I'll try there steaks, they looked great.

Good chicken fried steak. Intended to get steak but they were too expensive for us. Cheapest was $16 if I remember correctly. Nice salad bar.

The salad bar at K-Bob's is almost a meal in itself, besides salads and desserts it includes soup and beans. There are a good many options on the menu to choose from, from steaks and chops to the chicken fried steak which originated in Lamesa. I decided to try the chicken fried chicken. It was a pretty good sized “real” chicken breast. My only complaint is I don’t think they seasoned it or the breading – tasted sort of bland. But the gravy was good and it came with side. The waitress was exceptionally friendly, delivering my meal about the time I finished my salad and keeping my water glass topped off. The décor is pleasant, with plenty of flat screen TVs to keep you entertained and a full bar if you are so inclined.

Looking for somewhere different to eat. Where we could get out of our semi truck and also have safe parking. We were seated immediately. Menu had a good variety from appetizers to full meals to Burgers. Salad bar was very good everything was fresh

Good steak for the price on Friday steak night. But the steak choice by the chef left a lot to be desired a good bit of fat, yet it was cooked well. Paula was a great waitress, who took care us.

I have always loved K-Bob's waitresses are always sweet & smiling. Good wait staff is what makes a great experience at a resturant. The food is always fresh & delicious. I haven't tried everything on the menu but the chicken fried chicken & steak are always good!!

Having eaten Mexican food for a few days, we decided to visit K-Bob's to mix things up. I got the 12-oz sirloin, my wife got baked potato and salad bar. She reported that the salad bar was very good, a wide variety, fresh and clean. My sides were baked potato and chile rellenos, which turned out to be cheesy and bacony with a moderate heat. My steak was cooked as ordered and as tender as that cut typically is. The only disappointment (beside the loud country music) was the spuds. Neither of ours were hot, and the texture was grainy. This seems to be a recurring thing with K-Bob's. We've eaten at several locations in the past few years and the potatoes are always too cool. You would think a steakhouse would excel at baked potatoes, but that's not the case here. I guess next time I will try them mashed!

Took a long time for order to be taken but We were a large group. The steak sandwich was really good. Everyone really liked the onion rings.

It was good but to high for what we got service was good but to expensive for what we got chilcken fried steak was not that big to chewy no batter. Over priced for the quality of the food and drinks. Prices are comparable to Texas Road House. My husband got chicken fried steak with one side for 14 dollars. The chicken fried steak wasn't that big and he got a cup of mashed potatoes. It's 3.50 cents to add a side to me you should get at least two sides with a dinner dish. I got a burger and fries it was ok. I noticed everyone in the restaurant was ordering burger and fries I think it's because everything else was just over priced for the quality and quantity of the food. My daughter got a kids chicken nugget meal and fries it was ok. We ordered 3 bloody Mary's. Our bill was 70 dollars I was not impressed.

I have to travel the area a lot. This is always on my list to stop for lunch. Salad "wagon" is what I get every time. Value is there and the bar is full of tasty selections. The service is poor and could be improved. Facility is clean and well maintained.

Told waitress that I only wanted butter on my baked potato and they put sour cream on it. Happened to the gentleman at the next table also with a different waitress so the problem is in the kitchen. Note please: not everyone likes sour cream.

Been eating at kbobs since I was a young child. I've been eating at this one for over 15 years. It's clean, I like the remodel. But why would you have a one man band. It's not big enough. Then our waitress brought our food to us and got pulled to wait on a bigger party. Steak was tender. $54 for 2 to eat supper is ridiculously high. Don't forget you are in lamesa. Need to bring prices down slightly.

When I got my steak the first time, it was overcooked. There was no pink in the middle of it and one side was really browned and dry. I sent it back, and the second time, it was much better. The last two times I ate here, they were out of baked sweet potatoes. The service was good, though, and the rolls are great.

Over the years I've eaten here. Times I would rate their steaks 4 stars other 1 star. Service is usually good. Tonight they get 1 star because of their incompetent manager. Uodate: I did try to call the owner during business hours and to no avail. I've also updated stars to 3 as a review of many visits over the years. I have not been back since this review and not sure if I will.

My ribeye steak was tough, not as good as Texas Roadhouse. The salad bar was good but the baked potato could have been warmer. May have been cooked previously and then warmed back up. Steak was cooked medium like I like them, just not tender.

Service was good, salad wagon was fresh, but my catfish was overcooked and the rice was dry. Not what I expected for the price I paid. I ended up eating my daughter's macaroni and cheese, which was far better.

Team definitely still needs more time to learn, bar tender didn’t know what an old fashioned was, and my meal was really salty and steak overcooked.

Just passing through. Almost didn’t come due to the mixed reviews. We came in about 1:30 pm on a Saturday. Hostess was quick with seating family of four. Trish our server delivered hot rolls with butter shortly after sitting. Food was good and atmosphere was inviting. We didn’t get steaks, just hamburgers and chicken tenders. A little more than I expected to pay but it didn’t ruin the day. Restaurant was clean and people were nice.

Salad bar was good. Ordered steak topped baked potato w/ fixins. They asked how we wanted the steak cooked: medium rare. Potato was overcooked, burned on the bottom. The steak was well done and nothing but scraps. My daughters chicken sandwich was ok she said. Last complaint....bathrooms needed a thorough cleaning. Gross.

The place is very clean, the staff are very nice, but the food is not, it's just not. I read the comments about the steaks, so I went with a fajita salad. I ended up with a greasy salad bowl, with wilted old lettuce in it, needless to say I just picked at it.

The atmosphere and staff were nice. But the food for the price was very disappointing after driving 5 hours and starving. We stopped for a nice meal. We each ordered steaks. I got the 6oz sirloin it was overcooked and very dry. My husband got I believe the 16oz ribeye it was cooked right but again very tough and dry. I'm not sure we caught them on a bad night because the previous reviews were very nice.

We went on Monday night about half an hour before closing so there were few customers present. We waited 10 min. for our server while several employees walked on by. Food was okay but they ran out of baked potatoes and ice cream! Salad bar was extensive, best part of the meal. Wait staff was barely attentive and never even said thank you or good night.

The shrimp was amazing, but my husband and I didnt like the steak it was to dry and tough to eat. My kids chicken strips were dry and had no taste. Was very dissapointed. Our waitress was very good though, so that was a plus.

That’s was very disappointing and shady. I got watered down tea and when I asked for different tea the waitress lied and said she was going to make a fresh pot and all she did was get me the same tea and put a black straw in my cup so I couldn’t see how watered down my tea was even though I could taste it. Everything was frozen and then cooked, nothing was fresh. They also charged $25 for a paper thin very fatty steak that was not at all 16oz. The only good thing was the ranch and salad bar.

I did not want to eat here but I was traveling with my mother and she loves it I've be twice and both times it's just not for me I don't like it but others might so at least try it for yourself was not my kind of place to go

Frys were cold n stale and chicken was way over salted and blueberry muffins were molded, u could smell the mold in them,. Service could have been better, he waited on two other employees that were on break more than the customers. Took 13 mins to get drinks after we told him what we wanted. But salad bar was fantastic, because the cook may not had anything to do with it. I'll go one more time to see if cook has gotten better. If the food is horrible again I won't step in there again, if the food turns out ok ill go again, and before I order food I'll tell waitress to tell the cook to stay away from the microwave.

If disappointment had a menu, this place catered it. The steaks came out looking like they survived a custody battle between “overcooked” and “undercarved.” Seasoning? Minimal. Vibes? Also minimal. Service wasn’t bad, but nobody looked thrilled to be there — including my ribeye. Sides tasted like they were prepped by someone who gave up halfway through, and the bread… let’s just say it doubled as a weapon. It’s not terrible, but it sure isn’t worth dressing up for. If you want an okay meal and low expectations, this is your spot. If you want an actual steak, run.

Food was ok but the service was terrible. Had to ask hostess to get our check for us because our waitress was nowhere to be found and when check was bought the waitress stood over us while we made sure everything was charged correctly asking if we were ready to pay. Drinks were consistently empty and when our food was bought to us the servers were reaching across our faces. Sad to see this place take so long to reopen and they could not get the servers trained enough to make it an acceptable experience for their customers.

How are these guys still in business? Have you ever seen an old mangey dairy cow go off to a feed lot? Now marinate in brine, slice thin.. tada, K Bob steak. Terrible.

Terrible. I ordered Poweraide , it tasted like soda was mixed in. So I asked for unsweet tea because it's usually fresh, it tasted terrible. I ordered chips and salsa, it arrived AFTER our food did when I asked for it. My husband pulled pork sandwich was filled with hard pork clumps. That was terrible. So yes it was terrible.

Great service but the steaks were overpriced, tough, overcooked and were so bland I might as well have been eating shoe leather. I couldn't get a salad without paying extra for a trip to the salad bar. I'll never return.

The food was good, but we split a large chicken fry($16) and had a single shot whiskey mixed drink and a glass of wine. Also added a side of onion rings. Our (unitemized) bill was $62! Where did we spend $62? I know I should have asked for an itemized copy but I just assumed the drinks were over priced until I started adding it up later. $16 steak Single whiskey maybe $7 Wine maybe $5-7 Onion rings prob $7-8 There's $38 where's the rest? I'll go somewhere else better for that cost.

Not a good experience! Had to send steaks back. The sirloin had an old refrigerator taste. We did not enjoy food due to the flies, poor service, and poor food taste. We do not care of Prices, only wished that food met standard expectations. Cook needs to be trained or something! ! Or maybe that is how people that live around like there meal. No telling. It is more like a bar. They do have a good selection on wine. Llano sweet wine is the best! We got full and felt like throwing up afterwards. Stomach was hurting and had the runs. I am going to make sure I mail them a fly swater for Christmas.

Food was bland, no seasoning, overcooked steak. Mac and cheese smelled fish for some reason, and broccoli was cold and bland. One of my sweet potato fries tasted like Lysol too! Fried pickles were pretty damn good though.

Not surprised at all to see that this restaurant already has such a low rating. Do not let the appearance of this place fool you. It may look nice, but what's nice about this place ends there. When a coworker and I arrived it was fairly empty inside. I ordered cheese steak sandwich which was okay aside from the onion rings that I got along with it... They had no flavor and tasted like what you would think a grease-covered onion would taste like. Service was very poor. We waited 10 minutes to get our drinks... one of the other servers had to remind our that our drinks were there in the window. To the servers in our area, it seemed like laughing and joking around with their coworkers was more important than their customers. They only came around 2 times... once to ask if we needed anything and another time to give us our checks. We waited another 10 minutes for the server to come get our checks which, again, another coworker had to remind her only after we walked up to the kitchen door with check/card in hand.

If you wanna sit and watch life go by with no drink and no food this is the place to go

Not very happy with the service or quality of the food. The waitress messed up our drink orders twice! Food was not good, my daughter didn't eat the chicken strips due to them tasting like they were old, they were also very chewy like rubber. The two fish platters we ordered that were suppose to come with fries came out with onion rings. The catfish was not cleaned properly before they battered and fried it. Shrimp were triple battered and were cooked to long making them chewy. I had to get up and find a bottle of ketchup after we requested one several times, only then did the waitress bring one out that was empty, then said I'll find another one. Why would you knowingly bring an empty bottle to your customers? At the time of my dining the restaurant was not busy at all. I will never again waste my money here!!!!

This place was horrible. There was mold on the walls....flies all over the place......steaks tasted old and we're all cooked so much they were dried out (even though they were ordered medium rare). Burgers were so burnt that I could smell it from the other end of the long table (we had a party of 8). The staff was extremely rude. When we would ask the waitress a question, she wouldn't even acknowledge us. She would just walk away. For instance, we asked for ketchup and got no response. Wasn't even sure that she was listening until she brought it back to us. When we spoke with the manager to get the meals redone so that they were edible (we weren't asking for a refund...just asking that the meals were made edible, the manager gave a big attitude and acted like we were an absolute inconvenience. We were driving cross country and stopped here so it's not a regular place that we would frequent again. However, if we did live local, we would absolutely NEVER come here again and would tell all of our friends not to as well. Those of you who are looking for good or even decent food....keep driving past this place. This review doesn't even begin to explain how terrible this place was. Worst experience ever at a restaurant.

The salad bar at K-Bob's is always wonderful. Me and my husband ordered 10oz steaks, they had no taste, had to use steak sauce to eat them. Baked potatoes were not done, they were still hard and I had to smash with my spoon. The tea looked like muddy water and the coke was out. Our granddaughter ordered a 6oz steal and it was bigger than ours. Very disappointed on this trip to K-Bob's.

I order a medium rare steak first it came out over cook and the second time came medium. The waitress would hardly come check on us. For the price we expect the food to be cook right and to put at it wasn't even busy. I prefer to eat in Ruidoso,Nm.

There are very few other places to eat in Lamesa, but definitely go find one of the others. Having eaten at K- Bob's growing up and this one use to be very similar, I was looking forward to the trip in. That quickly changed! We weren't seated promptly at all. We sat in the booth, and waited for quite sometime to get anything ordered to drink. When they took our order, the waitress was impatient, like she had something else to do with a whole 2 tables in the place. Never saw her after she took our order. My husband's Chicken Fried steak lacked a lot to be desired and the New York Strip was the toughest I'd ever had. Pretty much cremated the marshmallows on the sweet potato as well. There are major health codes against touching ones hair, face or body and then touching a glass, to go container, or someone's food. Hair should be tied up and secure, Definitely not there. When you walked out all you could see is their staff gathered around the hostess podium and on the benches chit chatting and playing on their phones. Definitely do not waste your time! Eating at McDonalds would be better!

Took over an hour to get our food and then half of it came out wrong. Rarely saw the waitress. The chicken fried steak they're supposedly famous for was about one third breading. Sides were good, but not enough to go back for. Had to ask for the kids ice cream that they're supposed to get with their meal. Definitely not going back.

They never refilled my water in the hour plus I was there. Ended up telling them whatever wasn’t ready to cancel it. They said one plate has been ready for a while just waiting on the second plate. I asked that whatever they had ready the put it to go and give me the check. Mine was easy to recognize as the one that was sitting awhile. They charred my daughter up a steak real quick.
