I had the bacon, mushroom, and Swiss omelette. There was no skimping on anything! Along with the omelette, I had home fries and biscuits and gravy! Talk about "stick to your ribs"!!! I was comfortably full til dinnertime! Five stars from me!!!

Non assuming place. No fancy signs outside or whooped de doo.. but the food was amazing!! Had the Tuna sandwich with curly fries..soo good with raspberry tea..they even have liver and onions..ok ok not for everybody...good friendly service..clean and nice..mom and pop look..a great place to get away from everybody, read the paper and scratch your belly..nice.

I haven't been here for many years. It's 75 miles from my house so I don't go very often to Lancaster. Rosie greeted me and made me feel very welcome. She remembered me and my partner for most of a decade ago. Great place when the wait staff remembers you from many years ago. Also must be the food was great to.

The service and food is very good. My wife had never been. I used to go here all the time and I finally talked her into going. She was very impressed with the quality of the food and the portions when looking at prices. A little gem in Lancaster and well worth the visit. The building may look ok, but the food is top notch! I'll visit again and again.

The staff were AWESOME when I went for the first time! Food came out quick, and their sample special is great! ($14). While the diner is a little on the pricey side, the staff were kind, thoughtful, and made my morning! The coffee is good and the let ya have refills for soda too c:! I can't believe it, but I've lived in the AV about 40 years and this was the 1st time eating here. It was quite good. Food was served quickly, fresh and hot, I can't remember the name of the meal. It has 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, and ham, 2 pancakes and potatoes. Very reasonable priced, great staff. We will be back.

We have been going there for years. Love the staff. The food is very good and a good size portion, I never can finish all of it. My son just love to see Rosie. She always wonderful with him.

Reminded me of Mel' s diner on TV. Not fancy but the food was food. Only one waiter was on at the time but she was efficient. BACON was thin / regular sliced. Boo hoo. Booth seating and counter seating. Reminded me of Woolsworth and Walgreens back in the day.

Been going to the village grill for 20 years. It's good food for the lancaster area and some of the last mom and pop restaurants in the area. A dying breed, unfortunately wit all the corporate cookie cutter restaurants. Here they still make your food by hand instead of reheating a tv dinner. It's nothing fancy and the prices have gone up to around 8 to 12 bucks but so has everyone else. The servers and cooks have been there for a long time so they are all prepared and usually quite pleasant, so say hello to them and they will treat you properly.

Everything else on the menu is great for us normal people. The building is definitely a character and has been maintained pretty well. Keeping that old diner look up. I dig it.

What a nice surprise. It is an old diner with better than a erase food. For example, the burgers are obviously hand made, not frozen pucks. The mushrooms burger came with plenty of veggies, not just the mushrooms and cheese. Apple pie with ice cream prepared us for a long drive back home. There are clean restrooms and plenty of parking.

Ordered eggs and Chile Verde, what I got was eggs rice and beans and one piece of meat ask Rosie if I could get more meat she went to ask the cook for a small bowl of meat but the cook didn't respond,so I went up to the cook and asked for a few pieces more of meat ,cook told me he wasn't going to do it,I told cook that all I got was a lot of sauce with one Lil piece of meat and I'm a regular customer! Told the cook that he was going to lose a good customer but cook stated he didn't care,I figure that's how much he valued his customers I didn't need to go back and haven't since..

Is a nice hole in the wall, family diner, with friendly staff. The hash was crispy the way my girl likes it and my food was ok. The chicken fried steak was bland, the white gravy has way to much pepper. Don't order the biscuits and gravy. Unless your into pepper then have at it. I like that when we expressed our issues with the food, the lady took off 5 bucks. So overall good experience, will come back to try another dish.

It was busy, good food however they do not honor the coupons offered in the paper. There is no wording that you have to order off the menu rather than the meals offered on the windows side chalk board's. I'm not planing to return it looks like they have plenty of customers

Will probably not return. I was disappointed that a "special" daily menu option of chicken taquitos would NOT include a side of guacamole... Nope, not here! I was required to order and pay more for two orders of, what most others include. :/ 💘

The Village Grille is a family restaurant/diner that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Lancaster, CA. I have visited twice for breakfast and was pleased with the food, price, and service. (I had the pancakes!) There are several mom-and-pop diners in the local area but the Grille, with its 60s-style architecture, attracts families and seniors and is a reminder of family restaurants of the past.

The place is usually really good but I went on a Saturday at like 5p. The staff os usually friendly but the waitress that was there was super rude and b**chy she would forget things i'd politely remind her and she'd say as rude as possible yea I know im getting it right now

Overall good food; the gravy was fairly bland but the bacon and sausage and hash browns were good. I took off two stars for the annoying half dozen flies they can't seem to get rid of.

Ordered huveos Ranchero for lunch. The rice was dry the decor is hopless things are scattered. The fried beans was sprinked with mozzarella cheese and was overcooked. The staff is courteous and prompt.

Not happy at this place at all I used to be called norms restaurant they should a remodel of it before they started to open up for business the carpets are dirty has a smell to it and if you notice the containers that you take home for food they should be turned upside down so Dustin hair doesn't settle inside of them same with the coffee filter they're setting up word the ship turn those upside down as well keep them safe from dust and hair and bacteria that settles inside down they really do need to remodel badly

Good prices, horrible food and slow customer service and small tips. Location is unfathomably uncomfortable and I wouldn't suggest it for family gatherings, or business dates.

My food was not good at all it came with a soup that was beyond salty and the main plate Tasted awful the beans tasted like canned beans will never go there again.

After waiting 20 minutes at the counter with no water or menus we walked out. The server was folding napkins the whole time and didn't even say hello.
