Such a jewel in this area that I found while driving around the area. I will just run down in bullet points and you can take you like: 1. Large space, good large family groups. 2. Intimate, small area are created for couples. The chairs are handmade! 3. Dress Code was extremely low, I went in with a printed t-shirt and shorts. It was just a hang out day with my wife. 4. If you are Hispanic and like spicy food then you have to ask for hotter sauces. 5. Nice out door seating 6. Live Music!! at your table 7. My waiter was the best, beard and glasses. Very helpful. 8. Waiter was not pushy at all and come over at the right times. 9. Parking, well, I went at around 6 PM so there was enough around the side streets. Nice area to walk. "I'LL BE BACK!"

We reserved a table in one of those igloo looking setups. It's much warmer than I thought. The drinks were good (I had a margarita). The food was delicious as well.

They changed the menu, and wow what a difference from just a few months ago. Didn't like their twist on Mexican before, but now IMHO it is very, very good. Not sure what spurred the change, meant to ask, but whatever it was, keep it up. Margaritas and service great as always.

I'm from New Jersey and an avid food lover of Mexican cuisine... Found this place while headed to a Airbnb in upstate and WOW. Me and the wife are going to make a point to take a trip to this restaurant another time. Don't listen to the bad reviews, a lot of people in this area feel entitled from affluence. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I can't stop thinking about it. Mexican street corn, tacos, guacamole, chimichanga....we ordered so much! Appetizers to deserts were simply fantastic. It was light also. Noone rolled out of there lol. Service was fast and eating in the igloo was fun for the kids (and adults!)

You have to ask for Ruben. The best waiter in Larchmont. Food is good, it's Mexican...not gourmet. But the service is amazing. Make sure you order the super margarita,, or you'll waste money.

Outside dining was wonderful!! The staff went out of their way to accommodate everyone..tables were spaced far apart, menus were disposable paper..and the food and drinks were their usual top notch...come on out and safely support this terrific restaurant and it's super hospitable staff..

Went last night for my husband's birthday and we had a blast! We kind of stumbled upon it while wandering the streets in Larchmont to find a place to eat. It had been a while since we had eaten Mexican during the pandemic. Mojitos, Frozen Sangria, and Mezcal Margarita all were delicious. The Mezcal Margarita was a bit small for my liking but still enjoyable. Guac was amazing. I got the Ahogado burrito which was so filling. Hubby got the mole which he loved. Sister in law got chicken enchiladas which she liked but thought it was a tad dry since there was no cheese or anything on top like others. Mother in law got the chicken combo and liked it. When they heard it was my husband's birthday, they brought out his dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday without us asking. Flan, churros, brownie all so delicious. The fried chocolate ice cream was good and I thought the fried vanilla ice cream was delicious but note that they put coconut on it so it tasted more like coconut ice cream. I enjoyed it very much. Service was great, attentive and friendly staff.

Wonderful place to get dinner, sit outside and get a margarita. The food is plentiful, the guacamole was fresh. Servers were attentive and efficient. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, the art work on the wall pieces is stunning. Have eaten there several times and would highly recommend.

The decor was extremely interesting, the food was great, and the service was beyond fantastic! Honestly looking foward to going back sometime (and I don't say that often). The drinks are really delicious too! Parking can be a problem though, so you may find parking a block or two away, because they don't have their own lot. My friend and I had a great time there.

Celebrated 36 of marriage at Tequila Sunrise. Service was great and food delicious. Option to eat indoors or outdoors. Cold beer and mojito hit the spot. Dessert was flan and tasted good. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Music played at a reasonable level. Waiters very courteous and attentive.

Great food and drinks, excellent service. Bartender is a real pro, don't know his name. He makes great drinks, especially like his Margaritas. Last time I was there In had a margarita on the rocks with salt and Hornitos tequila, it was great. Save a little money and go with the house tequila, its good. My tequila choice was $3 extra which made the drink price $13 instead of $10. Also the Margarita straight up here is one of the best around, my friend ordered a frozen margarita and loved it. We both ordered Enchilada entrees which were absolutely delicious. I recommend this place highly, would be great for large groups and special events, big Restaurant, great decor and ambiance. It's a nice place for a date too.

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO EAT EVER!!! They have all kinds of food even for kids who don’t eat Mexican. I have been coming here since I was a baby and I never got tired of it! I’m officially giving you homework: come to this restaurant!! The service is amazing great bar and the the best food I have ever tasted. My family and I have been dining at this restaurant since I was a child (in the 1990s) and it’s as awesome and delicious as ever. It’s not exactly what one might describe as your everyday “traditional” Mexican cuisine. But in my opinion (as a New Yorker who has never been to Mexico to sample the cuisine) it’s much better. The chicken fajitas are great, their salsa is delicious & the flan is legendary. They offer a full bar, tended with excellence and the table service is wonderful. The servers are great - always as efficient as they are friendly and the same goes for the rest of the staff, both kitchen and dining room. The restaurant is also more than happy to offer a fun birthday celebration complete with dessert, singing & souvenir sombrero. Definitely worth a visit!

The live music created such a fun and lively vibe, and the beautiful atmosphere made it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening. Came here with friends on a Sunday for brunch. We got there a little early but they let us in anyway. We were a party of 8 and the staff was very friendly. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. My favorite thing was the dessert. This fried banana eith ice cream. This is a great place to come with glfamiky and friends for lunch brunch or dinner.

I'm giving Tequila Sunrise a 5 star rating because my wife and I appreciate quality service. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted. Shortly after, the staff walked us to our table and made sure to place us 6 feet away from other guests. I believe you'll appreciate the openness of the restaurant. Tequila Sunrise is big and spacious. One of the first things I noticed was their staff wearing masks and gloves. This was a plus. My wife and I felt very safe and comfortable. The decor made the vibe very welcoming. As far as the food and drinks, they were OK. My wife told our waiter that she didn't like her Churros and the waiter instantly removed it from our bill. Now that's customer service. We didn't have to ask him to remove it or make a big deal out of it. Tequila Sunrise proved to us that they will do what they must to make sure their customers are happy. We thank you for that and in return, we'll recommend our family and friends to visit your restaurant.

Nice and quiet Tuesday date night, no reservations needed. A pitcher of margarita was good with the $3 tacos deal. For me, it seemed the music could do well with switching up the reggaeton for other good spanish music genres, as it was all I heard for the whole time I was there (close to an hour). Not a problem to me for going there, it wasn't too loud, just felt monotonous and got boring which does nothing for the atmosphere. Overall would recommend.

Overall a pleasant experience. Service and atmosphere is very nice! Drinks are good. Kids had Virgin Pina coladas. Food was ok. We got different food and some were good, some ok. Guacamole was great and fresh. Other food was good but I feel like overcooked. We had mahi mahi tacos, salmon Cancun, some kind of chicken. I would say their sauces were on point.

Definitely reduction in service since my last visit. Our party arrived for early dinner and had several different people try to take our food order. Once that order was placed the staff rarely checked in. Need better communication between staff. Food was good.

This restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. The party planner and waitress were really nice. The food was really not what it is on the menu, and it also had no flavor. They do a good job hosting parties.

Used to love this place for their mojitos and Mexican fare. I've slowly experienced quality degradation and go back and try it every 6 months. Unfortunately trending in the wrong direction. That being said it remains a solid spot to go to at night (10pm+) and get served with better quality than a diner.

Food and margaritas was good and service was also good until we showed them a live spider walking across the table. They could have handled the situation better, but other than that it was good.

Sat in an igloo!!! Food was fair. Asked for spicy additions. Sadly the fresh jalapenos were mild at best. Same with margarita. Head waiter was great, personable.

Order was ready very fast, but it was terribly disappointing. I ordered vegetable fajitas. The taste was bland and plain. They were undercooked. The sides (tomato salad, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce. All in one container. The guac tasted old and moldy, and looked a bit brown. The tomato onion salad was mushy and looked like it was made two days prior. Ridiculous. The previous times I ate there within the last couple of years, the food was also dissapointing. This restaurant is a staple in Larchmont, and I just don’t understand why!

Went with family and the guac was good but lacked flavor. We ordered it spicy and it had no spices. My steak tacos were completely oily and greasy I couldn't eat them all. Our waiter never came to check on us and we had to call over other staff just to get a refill of chips. The only good thing was the house margarita I had on the rocks. Service was bad. The servers smiled and were pleasant when they were at our table. But I was very thirsty when we first got there and drank all of my water and it never got filled the rest of the time we were there. I sat with an empty drinks for the next 40 minutes. They left out the arugula and the tomatoes from my salad. Someone from the kitchen brought the food to our table and when I realized there tomatoes and arugula weren't in my salad I was out of luck because my waitress never returned to our table to see if everything was all right.

This is a great place to go if you want to have food that LOOKS like Mexican food. No flavor at all - forget having Mexican flavors, the food needs the basics like salt and pepper. Also, its fairly overpriced - I would say $22 for a chicken disk and $12 for the guacamole "for 2" which consists of one avocado is a bit much for what you get. The place does look clean, the staff is on top of attending to your needs (refill, salt, pepper, hot sauce and anything else to make the food go down). Plenty of room for large groups and a nice atmosphere.

Very disappointed with my meal. As others have said, food lacked flavor and on top of it all found hair in my food. Fruit tasted stale in drinks and in desserts. Even simple kids meal was horrible. Only reason I gave 2 stars was for the wait staff - they were great. Never going back.

Both my boyfriend and I ordered the beef chimichangas and were very disappointed. The meat was very bland and the flour tortilla didn’t taste right. Even the guacamole that comes on the side was bland. Didn’t give this place 1 star simply because they gave us a large amount of chips and salsa, and the salsa actually had flavor luckily.

Four of us had dinner here and were very disappointed. Only one other table with a large party and a few in the bar area, yet we waited forever throughout the meal. The drinks were OK but we asked for queso and got a hot black pot with a tea light under it with a hard clump of lumpy white cheese with some runny watery liquid. We laughed when we broke a chip off in it then tried a fork and the whole thing came out of the pot on the fork. They took it back and brought back another one, that was the same. They then told us that it is not for dipping chips but for spreading on a tortilla. You could not spread it on a tortilla either. It was utterly ridiculous! Our entrees were not good either, over done meat, or bland, or runny. The fajitas were descent though. Hopefully they can get their act together.

Our experience at Tequila Sunrise was very sub-par: the refried beans tasted burnt, I did not like the sauce on my tamales, and the whole meal was lacking in flavor. For the high prices charged, I expected MUCH better food. Perhaps the cook had a bad night? This was our first visit, we took an out-of-town guest here and had to apologize for the bad food! Will not be coming back.

Never really a fan and today wasn't any better. My dish was good, service wasn't and it's over priced just because of where it is. The only thing that made it work was that the manager got involved after my wife was done and got him. He finally brough me the beer I ordered 30 minutes prior from when I sat down and said it was free.

I'm giving two stars for 2 reasons: The Margaritas and The Service. The food in the other hand, deserves no stars at all. My ceviche was just little shrimp thrown on top of a full thickly chopped onion with cilantro sprinkles..(?) My sister's burrito was literally boiled unseasoned chicken inside a tortilla. The fry calamari came with 5 pieces of rings.. extremely over priced for fake Mexican food. The place was so cold I had to keep my coat on during dinner. :(

I'm sensitive to dairy foods, while placing the order over the phone I explicitly said no sour cream on the food, when I picked up the order in person I asked if they held off the sour cream and was told yes. When I arrived home not only was there sour cream, but the food was swimming in it. Maybe they thought it was funny or some kind of prank, but I was very disappointed.

We were there for a special occasion, my daughter's birthday. We have been going there for years, and it was always a go-to place. We were very disappointed and probably will not return. The guacamole used to be made table side. It was missing something we had to ask for more jalapeños, salt, and added lime from one of the drinks. Had a spicy Margarita, was ok, no spice. Pork tacos were fatty. Something missing from the pina colada, no sweetness. The mojito was overpowering with the mint. My daughter was sick halfway through dinner. She had camarones, which didn't have the best coloring. She was sick through most of the night going into morning. The birthday desert platter was very good.

When white people say "Oh I love that spicy Mexican food" this is what they're talking about, I've tasted cardboard with more flavor in it. The refried beans were sweet????? I love the taste of it but sadly I paid 28 dollars for nachos and it only had six chips..it didn’t even cover the bottom of the box. I’d suggest making the portion just a little bigger. Even the side of guacamole was bigger than the nachos 😟

The banana margarita i took to go was the best thing i had here. We had a huge regular flavored margarita which was also well made. The food on the other hand was boring, it had no flavor and tasted reheated. The calamari was large and rubbery. I’d come back for the drinks.

The place was very nice and organized. The food was decent with room for improvement. But the most important part of the experience was the service which needs to change 100%. I saw my server total 4 times. 1- take drink order 2- bring drink order 3- take entree order 4- pick up the check to charge me. Not even to ask me how was the food or the drinks. It was obvious they had more intentions of attending the tables outside than inside. I normally don’t do this but never felt so ignored at a restaurant as if my money was not good. Go at your own risk.

Very pour service. All staff was very rude . Including everyone. Specially our waiter (old guy) waiter never came to the table to ask if everything was okay with the food . food was okay .drinks are good but orrible service not friendly at all I definitely never recommend ththis restaurant and we will never come back again to this place .

Had a burrito and was sick in the middle of the night! The steak was black that was inside the burrito. Tortilla chips were stale as they are left exposed in a bin by the front door! Waste of money and loss of sleep from getting sick!

my god. don’t go here. my stomach feels like there’s an exploding bomb inside of it. i have been in excruciating pain from food poisoning for hours. apparently this has happened to other people as well. most of the staff also weren’t even friendly and the food tasted bad which just added to the pain. plus after literally 3 bites my stomach swelled up like i was halfway through a pregnancy. probably avoid this place if you want good mexican food or a normal stomach. thanks a lot for the stomach bomb tequila sunrise!

Food is expensive and bland and most likely batch cooked and reheated, not good at all. Sitting outside is nice but I that's their the trap. Waste of hard earned $$$. Sad that taco bell probably uses more seasoning. Smh...

i waited 30 mins in the cold with my child for a table and the host did not mention it was for outdoor seating only. When another host came out he mentioned the list was for outside and that if you wanted indoor seating you could go right in. I explained the situation to the indoor host and she didn’t seem to care that we waited 30 mins and it was not clarified we could go indoors. Neither of the female hosts were willing to accommodate my child and I. I would NEVER recommend this place based on the poor customer service.

It was my first time in this restaurant, I was in the mood for Mexican food and I ordered fajitas. It did not have flavor at all. It seems that the chef just throw the meat, chicken and shrimp on a bunch of onions, peppers and oil, no seasoned at all. Pretty disappointed ☹️.

I visited Tequila Sunrise recently and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to others. My experience was marred by several issues. Secondly, the food was served cold, indicating a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. Lastly, to my dismay, I found a hair in my meal, which was a concerning hygiene issue. Went here yesterday 7 dollar margaritas were good but the star of the show was the food I ordered birria tacos when they came out it was ground meat on a tortilla shell that is not birria tacos but I was like hmm maybe everyone makes it differently but no they nerve to call it something that it’s not plus the ground meat had no flavor. Also experienced the worst case of food poisoning last night my friend and I had the same symptoms couldn’t sleep never again will I come back very disappointed

Went on Cinco de Mayo because my family from Florida wanted to get some Mexican flair while they were visiting. I recommended this spot because in the past, this was the best place. I made a reservation for 9 ppl. I have to say I was not happy with the service. And most of my party was not happy with the food. Now I don't know if it was because of the volume of patrons or what but it took way too long to get what we wanted. We ordered 2 guacamole for our table to share as an appetizer, and it came way AFTER our dinners came. And a majority of our entrées were lukewarm to cold. I will say the cocktails were good, and to compensate, they did send a round of tequila shots to our table. Also, sent 1 order of guacamole gratis but by that time we were almost ready to leave. I was disappointed. For future Cinco de Mayo, I suggest you have a better game plan to handle large volumes of patrons.

horrible!! .. seating, confusing. we went inside and we were yelled at to come back out to sit at the tables on sidewalk. meanwhile we stood out there and all the servers just ignored us. glasses had lipstick stains on them. food was cold. had to ask for silverware 2x & when we got it, it was dirty. waiter showed no interest. kids and I were so disappointed. never going back. oh! the brown wooden spoon looked so old and to think of the bacteria, we didn't eat it.

This is my first review ever. I have never been moved to write about a dining experience anywhere. However this evening's experience left me no choice but to warn other potential patrons. If all you are seeking is a place to sit outside have a drink and chips, then you will not be disappointed because you can do that anywhere and this could pass as anywhere. We have dined here before and in many of lower Westchester's eateries from super casual to fine dining. Tonight however was probably my worst experience in 45 years of Westchester living and dining. The experience started less than stellar while sitting outside no one could make the umbrellas work to shade the sun. Once we received our drinks and chips, we ordered appetizers. From that moment our waiter can over no less than 10 times pushing us to order main courses. ( the restaurant was not busy or full). When the food came it was the blandest, food we have ever tasted Mexican fare or otherwise. What was once a decent go to restaurant for food and ambiance is now a sad example of how not to run a restaurant No one in our dining party will ever go back, nor will we advise any of our friends and family. There are so many more tasty and friendly options for great Mexican fare in Westchester.

I overheard what I can only assume is the manager cursing and screaming at the waitstaff profusely, which is completely unacceptable. I've never seen this woman before and I've been many times, but I've since heard there's new management. I'm floored by this behavior and it has completely put me off from ever returning, especially if this is how they'll treat their employees.
