Tender Steakhouse was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent - perfectly cooked, high quality, and thoughtfully prepared. Everything we ordered was spot on. What really stood out was the service. It was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. The best surprise was the price point. For the level of food and service, it was very reasonable and felt like a great value. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great steakhouse experience without the typical over-the-top pricing!!!
I went for dinner with a group of 3. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very classy yet comfortable. I love the dark decor and the shell shaped booths are comfy and private. Our waiter was fantastic the only reason I put 4 starts instead of 5 on the service section is because the buss guy kept coming by and trying to take our plates that still had food on them that we were clearly still eating. It happened 5 times and it got a little annoying towards the end. The food was spectacular! To start they bring our garlic crusted bread rolls and butter which are perfect! My partner and I split the 3 course meal of the evening which was a delicious caesar salad and an 18 oz ribeye with mashted potatoes in a chimmichurri sauce. I also got a side of blue cheese sause and eat bite was heavenly. We ate every bit of it. My mom got the pesto shrimp pasta which was also delicious. Large portioned but shrimp were cooked perfectly and the flavors were great. Our dessert was a pistachio cream mousse and it was light and perfect to end the dining experience. I would go back and would love to try other items on their menu.
We had a 4:30PM Reservation and Tom was our Amazing Server! We split the Cesar Salad, 14oz Coffee Rubbed NY Strip, and Twin Lobster Tails which come with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. The salad was very fresh with shaved Parmesan and the dressing was perfect! The steak was cooked a perfect Medium with Hot Red Center, so tender! The Lobster came with this Creamy Lemon Butter that was so tasty. The Mashed Potatoes were creamy and the Asparagus was crisp! Service was super attentive, 10/10 I will be back.
My wife and I attended a football game on 12 Oct 2025 at Allegiant Stadium and afterwards, we wanted to remain in the area to have dinner before we drove home. I know that it seems like Luxor Hotel and Casino hasn't been a fan favorite by many and there's been comments on how it's gone "downhill," but I still enjoy walking through that property from time to time. We initially agreed on a restaurant in Luxor; however, after standing in line for a few minutes and battling my hunger spells, I decided to forego that restaurant and find another one in the vicinity. I did a quick online search for nearby restaurants and found Tender - I made a reservation and we headed that way. When we walked in, we were greeted nicely by the hostess (I wish I captured her name because she was very friendly and personable). As we were being escorted to our table (booth seating), I immediately noticed the nice décor and how spacious the restaurant was. Our server, Kaitlin, did such a remarkable job that evening - she was extremely professional, attentive, and operated very efficiently. This business is fortunate to have an employee like her. In fact, based on the interactions with all the employees that evening, I'd say that this restaurant is lucky to have the majority, if not all of them. We ordered the Justin Cabernet and Smoked Old Fashioned for our drinks; and the Dinner for Two Special consisting of: BLT Wedge Salad, Tomato Bisque Soup, 44 oz Tomahawk, Mac & Cheese, Garlic Spinach, Chocolate Mousse Cake, and New York Style Cheesecake. We also ordered the Crab Cake for an additional appetizer because it's difficult for us to visit a Steakhouse and not try their version of Crab Cake. This was the first time taking advantage of a dinner-for-two concept because typically, I'm one of those "get your own steak"-type since I'm a carnivore and want a steak to myself; however, as I've gotten older, my food quantity intake has decreased...so this was perfect for us. Everything was magnificent that evening. I know this is un-American, but I'm not a huge fan of mac & cheese like a lot of people are, but the one at this restaurant was outstanding and can stand behind the hype because of this. The steak was slightly overcooked to our liking but it was still tender and was seasoned to perfection. Overall, I loved this restaurant as depicted in my 5-star rating. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was excellent and I highly respect this restaurant for their continued support to the active men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that! Although Luxor isn't as popular as it was years ago, people should consider visiting to try this restaurant. I highly recommend this place to all locals and visitors!
Great place! Intimate and quiet, with flawless service, and great food! Truly, the service just flowed - my water glass never got lower than 30%, things just appeared and disappeared at reasonable times. It was like that Honda Cog ad - when things. Just. Work. The food was great: Chicken Oscar is 10/10 recommend.
Thomas provided exceptional service, and we were very pleased with the whole experience. Everything tasted amazing; I recommend the Rosemary Chicken. Overall the atmosphere was great and we felt very welcomed, I highly recommend dropping by for dinner.
Me and my husband went here for our honeymoon and they were on top of it for service , the food was amazing , all very friendly staff, and they even did a complementary desert for us ! Would definitely recommend this if you want a nice dinner that's moderately expensive.
This place is a hidden gem. Absolutely delicious. I’ve been to other steakhouses at MGM properties and I gotta say this is at the top. Tomahawk dinner for 2 is perfect.
We had a 44 oz Tomahawk steak the price tag is a shock at first but really it's a good deal for a good steak. The price included the steak, choice of two salads, two sides, two desserts all the sauces and rubs. I enjoyed the rubs more than the sauces.
Best dinner we had while visiting! We made a reservation approximately a month prior, and we were even able to move out time up since we arrived earlier than expected. A beautiful atmosphere with big round leather booths. Our server was attentive, very friendly, and attentive. Our food was served in a timely manner without feeling rushed between courses. We did the shareable tomahawk steak.. oh. my. amazing! Cooked exactly as ordered, it came out mouth-watering, beautiful! It was a great steak, tender and flavorful. It was served with three sauces, all which were great. The ceaser salad was fresh and delicious. Mashed potatoes, delish! Creamy and flavorful. Asparagus was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Dessert.. we had to box it to go, as dinner was plentiful enough. We really enjoyed our experience.
We just had the absolute best dining experience here. Service was unbelievable, and we had the Austrralian Wagyu, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Our server Emilio took great care of us, but everyone who came to our table were so friendly and attentive.
Went to Tender for our anniversary dinner. The food and the server rocked! Thom was amazing. The chef also bought us drinks because our steaks were over done. Service this good is so rare. We will be back here again!
Now our 3rd visit and every visit has been the best experience. Thom sure helps make the night. Food is fantastic. Don't overlook this place in Luxor. Our second time at Tender The first time was good and the second was even better! Our waiter, Thom, just helped make the night. We couldn't have had better service and he was so personable. He turned us in the right direction when we were unsure. Our steaks were indeed tender, shrimp and lobster were scrumptious, and the cheese cake was a nice finish. We will return. Definitely recommend.
Dinner was amazing Amazing, went with a buddy at a day at Defcon, an the meal hit the spot. I had the Coffee encrusted New York Steak, dinner came with a fresh Caesar salad, an hot fresh Rolls, an the Mash potatoes was server family style perfect for sharing with others. The cost is not for the faint of heart, almost $75 dollars on average per person but fo s treat perfectly in line with Vegas prices.
Tender Steakhouse at the Luxor exceeded all expectations! The Tomahawk steak was absolutely incredible—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their wine selection was impressive and paired beautifully with the meal. I sat at the bar, where the service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere had the perfect blend of elegance and warmth, creating a great vibe for a memorable evening. Highly recommend for anyone craving a top-tier steakhouse experience in Vegas
The best bang for you buck is the $59 jack deal. Entre and desert with appetizer. Cocktails are amazing. Chicken is seasoned to perfection with an amazing reduction. Shrimp is to die for. I will be honest. Your first thought is " an expensive steak house in Luxor ?" No. This is a hidden gem. The chef tonight is GOY ( joy). Exceptional chef. I cannot speak for other nights but as a man who cooks himself and finds it tedious to give other chefs a chance , I was thoroughly impressed. Server Adie was amazing
If you love steak this was a nice choice, a bit pricey but sometimes you have to indulge in fine dining. Awesome place and our food was delicious. Presentation was on point and the staff was friendly. Photographer came to out table and was surprised how well put together the photos taken and place in a nice cover, well worth the price and memories of it. Of course we got the whole set. Definitely need to get the steak, my was cooked perfectly.
We go every trip. Never disappointed. Staff is excellent and it’s refreshing to see the same people every visit.
Food was amazing, the chef came out to give us our food at our table. Service was very attentive and polite. Had the Blackened Salmon, and a friend had the Lemon Chicken, both were fantastic. I'd eat here again anytime!
This is an absolute gem located inside the Luxor Hotel, sophisticated ambiance, high quality meals, professional and welcoming hospitality. My utmost kudos to the kitchen for an amazing meal.
Service was really good and the food was amazing! Lighting was a bit bright at each table but other than that, we had a great experience and would definitely return!
Enjoyed all of these delicious treats for with a group of friends. Mac n cheese, NY steak, mushrooms, Brie, crab cakes and all were really delicious. Will be back
This place is simply amazing ! Customer service and food are excellent! Cocktails are so good! I had the NY strip and my girlfriend had the filet mignon! The NY strip was good but the filet mignon was the best! Cooked to perfection! We also had the Rodney Strong Merlot and it paired perfectly with our meal! The birthday dessert was the perfect finish to our meal! We will be back !
We had our first dining experience here last night and it was wonderful. We dressed casual, which was nice for us, to not have to dress up. The service was phenomenal and our waiter, Thom, was so friendly, attentive, and just plain awesome . He was absolutely stellar and very accommodating and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Best lobster mac and cheese I've had, asparagus was cooked well, and the steaks and salmon were perfect. This is our new favorite steak house in Vegas and we will be back!
I dined in at the bar and was treated to an absolutely amazing dinner. The service was fantastic as was the wine. I started with the market tomato salad with burrata cheese, which was fantastic. The special was sea bass which I could not pass up. Delicious. At the advice of my server I ordered smoked gouda mac and cheese and mushrooms as sides. I barely made it through a quarter of each but they melded together perfectly. The remainder made a great midnight snack before bed. A pricey but amazing dinner to finish my vacation.
Our steaks were delicious. Shrimp cocktail was spicy. Drinks ice cold and strong. Waiter was very warm and inviting.
We opted for an early dinner before our show. We got in right at 5 and had super fast service. Our drinks and food came out quickly and were prepared perfectly. Our service was very helpful and professional. Great option for dinner and a bonus for us is we stayed in Luxor so it was very convenient for us.
Stopped in here at about 8 on a Saturday night and was almost alone in the place. I sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome. Of course the service was great, I was the only one there. I ordered the ribeye and crispy potatoes. The steak was good, and cooked a perfect medium rare. It was a little tough though and I expected a lot more flavor. The potatoes were awesome though. This would be more of a 3.5 star place from this one visit, and maybe I hit it on a bad day considering the other reviews. Ok, back to review Tender in 2024, this time it was 5 stars all the way and honestly much better than most of the really pricey steakhouses in Vegas. I ordered the butcher's cut which was a New York strip and it came with marrow. I added a side of mushroom risotto. The steak was phenomenal and the marrow added a lot of depth and richness to the meal. The risotto was good, not the best, but good. It lacked some seasoning but was easily remedied but was slightly undercooked. I know the Luxor gets a bad rap for being a more budget friendly resort, but stop in here you won't be disappointed.
Had my husband's birthday dinner here and he was so happy. Said it was the best filet minon he'd ever had. Service was amazing and even had the chef come say hello. Great night.
Delicious steaks, the all around vibes was sophisticated, yet the workers were very friendly and our server took the time to recommend different wines that went with our choice of meat. Would go again! The only thing I would say is that the area is a bit hidden.
Really delicious food here, the steak, shrimp, and lobster were all perfect. Our cocktails were great as was everything we tried, and we tried a few things. Even the mashed potatoes were amazing! Very happy as a first experience with an expensive restaurant. Well worth the price in my opinion.
Our waiter Manuel was very polite, and gave excellent service. The food was AMAZING! One of the best steaks and chicken I have ever had! I highly recommend anything from their menu.
We had the best experience at this restaurant. It’s definitely more high end than I am used to but the food quality and customer service justified the price. We did the 3-course dinner and each ordered a glass of wine or a cocktail. Our food tasted amazing and our server was very attentive and accommodating. While eating they had people handing out samples of drinks from the menu and we got to take souvenir photos. They had a very classy but calm environment and our waiter gave us really good suggestions. I definitely suggest this place for a fancy Vegas experience. As a plus the bathroom was well taken care of.
First class service by staff. Food was fabulous, house wine was a surprise, excellent selection for my dinner. Price for special meal was reasonable. Decor was Vegas 1950.
Best steak I have had in a while. Arrived early for reservation, wS seated early. Service was prompt, dinner came out quickly and cooked perfectly!
Awesome staff. Great decor. Dark leather with dark wood and a Frank Sinatra/mob vibe. Awesome Ribeye steak with shrimp, mashers and asparagus was bangin good. Smokey old fashioned was perfect sippin with the steak. I’d go back for sure
What a wonderful Dining Experience! The Salmon was divine and I don't e like fish. The Service provided by Phillip was exceptional! Phillip will not only "fill up" your water glass but make sure that your Dinner is a true Celebration of Life, one that you will never forget.
This is a very expensive dining option but the nicest place by far we dined in with multiple visits to Vegas. We were seated promptly at our reservation time . The seating is intimate and quiet and allows for great conversation. There was a very loud group of 4-6 (I could not determine without being invasive) across the room who’s outbursts made it slightly LESS pleasant and intimate but I can’t fault the restaurant on that. The food was middle of the road for the price. I had surf & turf (the daily special ) and my husband had an 8 oz filet & lobster tail. One thing to note is that you don’t get a side with your entree - it’s all extra. The sides are HUGE though and they come in serving bowls so 2 people can easily share a side. Our mac & cheese was shared by all 4 of us at the table. (on a side note, the mac & cheese was NOT good ) The side salad is also large enough to share but they do not offer salad dressing options (it comes with a lemon dressing that was not very flavorful ) Our steaks were good - though honestly I’ve had steak as good at Texas Roadhouse. I had the surf & turf daily special and my husband had an 8 oz filet and lobster tail. We both wished we had only ordered the lobster tail. Our server was not friendly and he did not offer us dessert. He was annoyed when we asked to have the check split with the couple who was with us. Our meal for 2 was $360 with tip. It was a special occasion and our last night in vegas so we splurged. Was it worth the $$$ ? It was very good food , but probably not worth spending a whole car payment on.
First time trying out Tender. We thought the ambiance felt classic old-school Vegas, but you can dress casually. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food came out really fast (almost unusually fast), and water topped off frequently. The four star rating was mostly the steaks. While premium priced, I tried the coffee rubbed New York steak. I did pick up a hint of coffee (mostly in the butter), but the steak just lacked seasoning. The prime rib (a special offering on Sundays) wasn't a medium rare as ordered, also seemed unseasoned, and seemed dry as no Au Jus was served with it. The baked potato was good and can be shared by two. We had a nice time overall and may have just been an off night with the beef.
Food was very good. Only thing is the Luxor is an old so aesthetically not the best.
This low key steak house did not disappoint. There were 6 people in our party. I ordered the salmon (pictured) and the rest of the group ordered steak. We had several appetizers as well. Overall the food was great. The environment and service was not as nice as several other Vegas steakhouses but, I world go back here again for the quality food and more relaxed vibe.
Hubby & I went here last night for dinner. I was looking for a chicken option and he wanted steak. I chose the pan roasted lemon chicken with polenta and au jus. Hubby had the filet mignon. It was all amazing. The atmosphere and service was great as well! Located inside the Luxor. Nothing negative from me.
My husband and I decided to gave this place a try tonight and we loved it (for the most part) The waiter was nice, and the food was delicious. I asked for my filet to be cooked medium well and it was very pink and they had to take it back and cook it more and my husband was done eating by the time I got my food. I was disappointed they didn't take money off for that, but besides that we did really like this place and would go back again.
Caesar salad is a bit different, they add lemon zest. Bread was good, not too hard, not too soft. The main course was New York strip medium well, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus and lobster Mac and cheese. At first but of my steak, it is seasoned to perfection ( made me do a little dance). However, going into my second bite I noticed it was a little too pink for medium well. Once my plate came back, my steak and this point is well done, which is now overcooked for me. Usually once this happens I lose my appetite, but that's just me. Lobster Mac and cheese was ok, a bit of a different taste from what I'm used to, however it could be they use a variety of cheese. It also has a bit of a smokey taste to it. The Potatoes are good, as well as the asparagus. The highlight of my meal. The service was good, very friendly and attentive. Although they missed the que that I was still disappointed with my steak ( I just wasn't going to send it back a second time or cause a scene). Manuel. Dessert was pleasing. Chocolate mousse cake with roasted granola. Pleasing to the pallet. The base of the cake tasted like a raspberry parfait. I didn't care much for that. Overall, I feel like I was left disappointed. My steak was cooked to the point where it wasn't edible for me. Which means I still was left (after this $100+ meal) needing to go get something edible for me to eat. This review was written at the time of service. 7/1/2024
I tried to get reservations for tender for about four days could never get a return phone call the phone just rang and rang. Finally through an employee that works at the front desk. I was able to make a reservation for Friday night. They only had availability early at 5:30 so we made a reservation for two. When we arrived to be seated, there was only three tables in the room that we were sat in. I realize there was at least three other dining areas. Lots of service help running around, but not very many customers. Appetizer I ordered the crabcake Joe ordered the lobster soup. The lobster soup was like Campbell’s cream of tomato cooked for three days brown in color and there could’ve been some lobster water in it and one half teaspoon of a piece of lobster meat. Not very good don’t recommend the crabcake. I would give it four stars I’ve had better, but this was not bad, the pickled vegetables did nothing for the crabcake. We ordered the bone in Tommy Hawk steak. It was cooked correctly, but it was full of gristle, not as flavorful as I’ve had before, and a little chewy. The steak came with three sides of sauces. One was a peppercorn, And a horseradish sauce in the last one was a Tarragon Bernese sauce. They were a nice compliment to the steak. Joe ordered the lobster Mac and it was very dry not very flavorful. I ordered the cheese grits and they were excellent. For dessert, we shared a piece of huckleberry cheesecake that was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had. Our service was good the place mostly empty. I don’t understand why we couldn’t get a reservation for four days. Our bill came to $390 for two people, old fashion decor, which I do enjoy that it was beautiful inside with the woodwork and burgundy red tones. I called several times to speak to the hotel manager of the restaurants and never received a phone call back. I think they need to improve a few things. I know when I choose a hotel to stay at I look to see which restaurants are close and I would like to try. I think they need to improve the food in this motel.
We went for dinner. My steak arrived cool. The butter pad placed on the top of it did not melt. The two pieces of bread they brought to the table wasn't warm. Butter would not melt on them, when you cut into them. My wife's steak was cooked to perfection. The quality of the meat was excellent. It just wasn't hot enough. I brought it to the attention of the waiter. I would not let him take my steak back to the kitchen. I didn't want anyone spitting on it.
Overall a decent meal that is well priced. Staying at Park MGM but the same similar meal would be almost twice! Mike was training two people, Hector and Nicole. Hector looked super bored, tired and did not want to be here. He spent my whole meal chatting with coworkers, crossed arms, yawning, on his phone. Mike made a pretty yummy martini. He cared and gave tips to Hector which came on deaf ears. I overheard him explain to Hector when it would be best to clear my plates and he stood in front of me, for over 10 minutes before he asked to cleared my spot. He asked to clear my plate and I said yes and then he never cleared it. Probably continued to wait until Nicole asked if I was done. Was good. She took initiative, asked me questions and was awesome. Great smile. Quick learner and someone I would want working for me. Overall a 3 out of 5. If I didn’t spend my time annoyed at Hector, it would have been a 4.
Steak was good, but most everything else was meh. Bread was cold and out of a bag. Glasses were dirty. We were left unattended for too long after sitting down. Dessert was un-inspiring.
The female bartender was excellent. Everything else was fair/mediocre. The steak was more like a Texas Roadhouse steak, not prime steakhouse quality. The shrimp was okay. Mashed potatoes okay. Spinach not good. For over 100 dollars this was not worth it in my opinion.
Two stars because the service was decent, but that's it. The steak was a sad cut of meat, probably select grade, less than 3/4" thick, and not cooked as requested (c'mon, med rare is too hard???) The sides were mediocre, and the Scotch menu was hilariously short and everything on it could've come from Walmart.
