Opinions de DQ Grill & Chill Leander
Brand new location, fast service. Food was good, onion rings were on point as DQ rings should be. Wife enjoyed her taco and sundae. Chicken strips were good but slightly dry. Bonus points for having cherry and vanilla syrup at the drink station to make your own flavored cokes. Certain parking spots are hard to get out of if drive through is busy.

My husband and I stopped by Dairy Queen for dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. We shared some steak fingers that were hot and fresh, then treated ourselves to ice cream afterward. The young staff behind the counter were so polite and helpful, which we appreciated. A simple meal, but it made for such a nice evening. We’ll be back again!
I wanna give a big shout out Andrea And the staff for being Very welcome and understanding about how I wanted my meat well done and I appreciate that thank you and on top of that, she gave me a little one, a Pup cup.
Came in here late at night and the customer service was great, the food was fast and delicious. I ordered the belt buster with a large fry and it was the BEST burger I’ve had in a while. They have a top chef in the back. The dining area was nice too. Definitely will be back next time I’m craving a quick burger that doesn’t taste like fast-food.

Went to this location after a long train ride. Throughout the day, I knew I wanted a DQ treat - thought about it most of the day. I ordered a small vanilla dipped chocolate ice cream 🍦 cone. When I pulled up to the window, Adam greeted me, and I noticed the person making the ice cream cones, not wearing any gloves while handling the cones. Yes, the cones have the small piece of paper at the bottom, but bits not enough. My ice cream 🍦 was melting and I asked Adam for a new one and he happily made me a new one. 4 stars for no gloves and slow service.
A Detailed Review of Dairy Queen’s Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster Combo I recently had the opportunity to try Dairy Queen’s Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster Combo, and I wanted to share my experience with others. In this review, I will discuss various aspects of my visit, including the friendliness of the cashier, the comfortable atmosphere, the quality of the fries, and my thoughts on the burger patty. Customer Service and Atmosphere: Upon entering Dairy Queen, I was greeted by a super friendly cashier who made me feel welcome. Their positive attitude and willingness to assist added to the overall pleasant experience. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also very comfortable, providing a relaxing environment for enjoying a meal. Fries: One highlight of my meal was the fries. They were cooked to perfection, with a crispy texture that added an enjoyable crunch. The flavor was excellent, and they complemented the main dish well. I found myself thoroughly enjoying every bite of these delicious fries. Burger Patty: While I generally appreciate a flame-charged burger, I must admit that the flavor of the patty in this particular Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster combo was slightly off. The predominant taste I detected was a burnt flavor, which overshadowed other flavors that could have enhanced the overall experience. Although it did not ruin the burger entirely, it was a noticeable drawback. Overall Assessment: Despite the slight issue with the burger patty, I still found the Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster combo to be a good choice at Dairy Queen. As evidenced by the picture I took before writing this review, I enjoyed the entire meal and did not leave any leftovers. The combination of friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, tasty fries, and an overall satisfying burger made for a positive dining experience. In conclusion, if you are looking for a friendly environment with crispy fries and a decent burger option, Dairy Queen’s Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster combo is worth considering. While the burger patty could have had a better flavor profile, it did not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the meal.

I've frequented many Dairy Queens in the two decades I've been alive and have never felt more compelled to leave a review till now. Why does a large cone have the same amount of ice cream as a medium one? The only perceivable difference is the larger cone itself, which leaves us with a disproportionate ice cream that's more cone than cream. The Dairy Queen off Whitestone has the large cone done right, showing it's possible to offer proportionate servings for each size. They have a slightly different price to account for the additional ice cream, a change many would consider fair for a proportionate serving. After all, who wouldn’t pay a few cents more to ensure their larger cone is truly larger in every way? Currently, the misaligned ice cream to cone ratio feels akin to robbery. We're paying for a 'large cone', but in essence, receiving a 'medium' in a bigger cone. My fellow dairy enjoyers let's reconsider the large cone's serving size. A minor price adjustment is a small price to pay for satisfaction. Next time you visit, let your concerns be known. Let’s ensure that when we ask for large, we truly get what we deserve. #LargeMeansLarge
I want to give my local Leander DQ 5 stars, but the last two times we’ve gone we received blizzards that are only mixed half way, leaving us with just half a cup of vanilla ice cream that just goes to waste. We’ve ordered different sizes each time, but that hasn’t led to any different results. Staff is very friendly and the store is really nice, but so far hasn’t been worth the quality.
Bf visited and had to try DQ and had butterfinger blizzard he absolutely loved. Drive thru. The lady didn’t get to do the upside down cup trick as a novelty. Clean orderly car line and always yummy blizzards.

Blizzards are way too soft and not mixed well. 4 blizzards last night, all of us had almost zero mix in for the last 1/2-1/3 of our blizzards. Friday night probably means be rushed, but quality matters. Think we will stick to the whitestone location.

Craving a dipped cone, I stopped at DQ on a busy Friday night—big mistake. After waiting 30 minutes, they admitted the ice cream machine wasn’t frozen enough to make cones. Their ‘solution’ was a cup with chocolate poured on top, which would’ve melted before I got home. No refund, no voucher, just wasted time. Left empty-handed and disappointed.
Got the 8 piece steak fingers. They were good. Opened up the bag that had my taco and my cheese bites, the taco isn’t even a taco anymore. Bites serving seems small for $5. disappointed.
Love Dairy Queen, but I ordered three items that could easily be given in a cup holder. Common sense would dictate that I would be at least offered one. Nothing of the sort was provided. One of the items spilled all over me when leaving the area. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I visited this location to get a strawberry sundae which was quite nice. The issue came at the time of payment in the drive thru. I have exact change which included 78 cents. The cashier gave me the change back and stated their bank does not accept pennies and I was being charged 80 cents. Wow. They do accept pennies at the Cedar Park location on Whitestone. If you still use US coins avoid this location!
This place needs some serious training or new management. Only person in the drive thru and I get asked by 2 separate people what I ordered after waiting for over 5 mins. Both times I answered and got interrupted, followed by them closing the window on me. Then the tried to forget my drink….

This location is the worst. This is my second time here, I wanted to give them a second chance but we will make the longer drive to Liberty Hill for better service and food! I got a 6 piece steak finger combo with a large fry to share with my partner...the steak fingers were so stale like they had been sitting in the food warmer too long then I specifically asked for no whipped cream on my blizzard and yet still they put it. I just don't understand how the management team is ok with their mediocre service and the poor quality of food they serve. Please retrain these employees, I'm sure they wouldn't want their food old and stale so why would they give it out to customers? Such a disappointment.
This location is very unhealthy, very inconsistent, and actually dangerous to you. It's bad enough I don't always get straws or napkins. It's bad enough the burgers are so greasy that the paper is almost always soaked before you can eat. It's bad enough that you cannot drive out of the parking lot safely because there's a massive bush completely blocking all views from the right (and it's worse when people park their trucks right next to that bush. ... But when they start charging inconsistently (and you see an example of inconsistent charging in another review for this location) and they get the order incredibly wrong (look at those pictures. Does that look like mayo and cheese only? Does that look safe to eat? Even the cheese was just raw slices tossed on there), then that's where one must draw the line. For a new location, it's pumped out consistently poor quality food, service, and pricing. Just go to Whataburger next to it. You'll be far happier you did. Better hours and better food there too.
Every time I get cheeseburgers they are so cold the cheese won’t melt. This seems to be a normal thing. I don’t understand how it’s possible but it’s consistently the case. Update: Gave it one more shot. Still have cold burgers. Pictures to show. Cold all the way around. And it was busy when I went.
If you are not good at English......I was overcharged, a fast food restaurant lunch cost $40 , I was cheated to buy 2 burgers, 1 onion ring, 1 banana split, 1 ice cream, 8 chicken strips, french fries, coke , I can't eat so much food. Actually ,all I need is a sandwich, an onion ring, a banana split, an ice cream, and 8 chicken strips. They cleverly took advantage of my inability , all of them into a set meal, extorting twice the high payment. I can speak English and Chinese, but you only know English, so you have no capital to be proud of.What is this bacon sandwich, I almost threw up

This was SO sad and weird. We waited in line for someone to answer the drive-thru for 15 mins and there was no one in front of us. We kept saying “hello” but no one helped. We finally ordered. The cone literally had a finger hole poked in it so I went in to get it remade and they did…. but without any gloves and it was just as sloppy. They literally grabbed the cone (and wiped it) with their bare hands. Saw a lady smoke a cig, go inside, not wash her hands or grab gloves, then literally go back to making ice creams. My husband ordered the mint blizzard and they didn’t mix in the mint or the Oreos?…. It was soft serve… with green liquid… and Oreos on top. We couldn’t eat the cone (obviously) because it was so unsanitary and the blizzard was a hard no. The whole point of DQ is for the nostalgia 😭 This was the most depressing DQ we have ever been to like it feels so sad. Going to Culver’s from here on out and contacting corporate. What in the world was this?????

This DQ has to be the absolute worst DQ in the country. Food always seem to be missing. Today, yet another failed order. The gravy was cold, the fries cold, the three burgers we ordered were soaked in grease. That was it. Never again. Avoid this DQ at all cost. Read the comments below. Many others have posted the reviews about this awful place.
Absolutely terrible service at this Dairy Queen. The shift lead, Jessie, was extremely rude when I asked to have the fixings for my taco salad on the side. He told me they were “too busy” to accommodate that — like I’m not a paying customer who deserves decent service. I’ve been to this location before and have never had an issue with that request. To make matters worse, when I asked for a receipt, they handed me a blank piece of receipt paper and then sarcastically asked if I “really want a receipt.” Completely unprofessional. And let’s be honest — the amount of time Jessie spent running his mouth about what they couldn’t do, he could have actually used that time to help fulfill my request since they were supposedly so busy. If your staff can’t handle a little rush without being rude and lazy, then you need to hire better people or train them properly

09/10/25- 7:45pm. Walked in to no line, but no acknowledgement of my existence waiting at the counter. I made eye contact with 4 employees who didn’t even have the courtesy today,”Hi, be right with you.” Waited 10 minutes before walking out without ordering 🫤 You see, if it’s busy, I don’t mind the wait…it’s waiting with NO customer service AT ALL that is upsetting. Poor management and training.
