Wow! Blown away! The food is absolutely incredible. Very reasonably priced. The service was top tier. Wish this place was closer to where we lived. Sooo good! Thank you!
Easy walk from the Tesla Superchargers. Good traditional Tex Mex with fast enough service to eat before charging is finished.
Very good food. Large portions, we ended up taking a lot of leftovers to go.
It seems like an ideal place to take a break and have a meal after a lengthy journey.
Cozy restaurant in Frazier Park. Great services. Maria, our server was very attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. Made us feel very special. This is a hidden gem. Food was home made style and made the way you want it. Not bland stuff smothered with sauces. Each dish has it's own unique flavor. Good portions too. The margaritas have a kick.
Delicious food, nice environment. Authentic. The hot salsa and Chile Reno sauce were especially good.
This place is lovely. The staff was really welcoming and the menu is exactly what you’d expect, honest and substantial portions. The space is simple and clean. Just good food, served hot, by really nice people. Exactly what I needed after a 9 hour stretch on my drive down to Phoenix from Seattle. I’ll stop on the way north too. If you find yourself here and hungry, this is the place.
Do yourself a favor, get off I5 on the grapevine at Lebec. Los Pinos Mexican Restaurant offers large portions of delicious food at a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff
best steak I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant
Great Mexican food in an incredibly cool building. Very friendly and attentive staff inside what used to be a casino, which still has many beautiful hand made gold leaf signs pointing to the card room etc. Loved the Diablo quesadilla and chile relleno burrito. Cheese is baked over the refried beans which was really good too. Food is fairly greasy but again excellent taste. Price for the portions is very good too.
Very nice and cute Mexican restaurant convineanty located on I-5 between mountains in Lebec, CA. Very friendly personnel and big variety of delicious Mexican cuisine. Oh, and they have a full bar. Thank you guys!
ENCHILADAS were on point. Will be back when passing through next time. Place is awesome.
Food good.super YUMMY Friendly staff super nice and welcoming. Atmosphere warm and comfy if I was able to eat inside I would have. Next long drive I'll for sure stop by.
First time eating here…loved the food…I got the mixed fajitas… will definitely be back soon…owner was nice talking to… great ppl 5 ⭐️ for me 🤝
Very delicious. I was on my way home from Bakersfield and just stopped by and the waitress was very nice (I'm in love) lol. I was so surprised she spoke Spanish. Lol
If you're in the area, this is a must stop. The staff are super friendly, the food potions are amazing, everything was absolutely mouth watering, the food came out super fast too. Great place to grab dinner if you're parked up at the flying j across the road!
Great service and as always amazing food. Great place to go with your friends and family anytime! We like to go have a nice lunch after church and it really sets the bar high for having a good day.
Great food with good service. This cute restaurant has a warm atmosphere with a nice mix of local and highway diners. Our table had shrimp fajitas, tacos, and enchiladas - all very good. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. The food and service was quick enough for a road break. A must stop if you need to eat while traversing the grapevine.
The staff here are working their butts off! The place was absolutely packed on a tuesday night and it was a combo of the staff being friendly and kind, and the food being amazing. We stayed late enjoying margaritas (they come as virgin originally- this is a joke. if you want a buzz, pay for an extra shot though). Our server was carrying so many trays all over, holding burning hot plates in his hands, asking all the right questions and being personable too. Theres a bunch of Caballero hats in the party room and he encouraged us to wear them and have fun. I wish we lived closer to return!
Really good food flavor was excellent and very affordable price on the dishes
On my way back from Irvine. Hadn't had lunch, and was nearing dinner time. We were starving, and I happened to find this place within 15 minutes of where we were. Food was excellent, service was amazing. Horchata and flan were very good too. The chip bowl the guacamole came in reminded me of the chip hat that Margo from Dispicable Me wore, haha.
We had a great lunch with drinks. The food is delicious and their prices are excellent. This is our new “go to” for delicious Mexican food.
I do the I5 drive to the Bay Area quite often to see family, and Los Pinos is the best bang for the buck of all of the I5 restaurants in terms of quality and portions. The staff are so nice! I'm definitely going to plan my I5 drives around eating here from now on. Also the chips are ASMR worthy!
Great Mexican food. Salsa has good bite. A lot of burritos on the menu. Seafood selection is very good. I had a big ol' fried fish smothered in an amazing sauce. Beans had great flavor. Great corn tortillas. Great Mexican music selection of norteño, banda, cumbia, and ranchero. Great service. Owner treats you like a guest in his home.
I just wish my new favorite Mexican spot wasn't so far from home. Ordered a michellada, one carnitas taco, one fish taco, and chips & salsa. I ordered the drink because I was craving the spices and tomato. Wish I wasn't driving so I could have finished the whole thing! Hands down THE BEST I've had. I'm going to try to convince then to show me their recipe next time I'm here. Chips were made fresh, and Salas was hand made. Super flavorful and you could tell it was made with love! Their pork is the best cut I've ever had and was cooked and marinated PERFECTLY. The fish was seasoned just right and cooked thoroughly, but jot over done. After trying a bite of each taco: I put them down and ate then with a fork, just so I could savor every bite! If you're passing through this place is definitely worth a stop. I'm definitely having tacos every time I make this trip! I hate this long drive, but will definitely schedule extra time in KY future trips for tacos & half a michellada @Los Pinos.
Enchiladas suiza. Very tasty. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the Wendy's cashier. She said the food sucks. It sounds like her tastebuds might be off. 🤷♀️ I love the rice! I like the veggie in it. I definitely will come back. I want to try the ceviche tostada or another enchilada plate. They have a nice size enchilada menu.
Fajitas made others in restaurant WISH they had ordered them. Hehe Also, salsa is good and you can buy. A true hidden gem
Great alternative to fast food! The food arrives quickly and is nourishing. The service is friendly and helpful. Portions are huge - we took leftovers. Will definitely return when doing the SF-SoCal I-5 drive! Note they opened at noon on a Friday so check hours.
Great service. Great place. Stopped here after a day of motorcycle riding. Did not disappoint. Came in about 8pm, just an hour before they closed, and they were super friendly and helpful. Delicious food and BIG portions. My family of 4 can be a little picky but everyone was pleased! Even my daughter who just wanted a burger from the kid's menu was delighted with her food. Might make this our new stop after riding from now on. THANK YOU!
Great stop during a road trip. Ultimate comfort food. Reasonable prices, burritos are large and come with rice and beans for $13. It was dark and I was anxious about driving over the mountains, stopping here helped me calm down. Great atmosphere as well.
Stopped by Los Pinos for the first time while in the area for work, and I’m so glad I did! Ordered the nachos and combo fajita—portions were huge and incredibly delicious. My server (wish I’d gotten her name) was fantastic. Everything, from the food to the service, was outstanding and top notch. This gem of a restaurant is a must-visit next time I’m nearby!
You're greeted with a bright smile and led to a cozy table near an open window, where a soft breeze carries the scent of lime and salt. Almost instantly, a server brings over a complimentary basket of warm, house made tortilla chips and three vibrant with zesty green tomatillo that tastes like sunshine in a bow the live music was a plus. The food was extremely delicious. Highly recommend.
We stopped by this restaurant while traveling. The food was great—especially the vegetarian dishes, which had a lot of flavor and variety. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, taking the time to recommend dishes and explain what to expect. Definitely a nice place to grab a meal on the road!

The food was incredible! And the service was awesome. If you are traveling by Frazier Park, you need to stop here. They don't open until 12pm. I had the Los Pinos Burrito, which is 2 lbs. My son had the Chili Relleno Burrito and my wife had the Grilled Chicken Tostada Salad. We all had to ask for take out containers. Absolutely 💯
All by itself out here. We don’t care for fast food so we chose here. Glad we did. The outside and inside are a bit rustic and could use some paint, but they make up for it with great food and service. Several people working and it feels like family owned and operated. We were greeted with a smile by each person working. Different people would just check on us to see if we had any needs. We were waiting for friends to join us that were 30 minutes behind us yet the staff was so patient. We ordered and the food was ready so quick. Presentation was awesome and flavor was over the top. I thought about giving them a 4 as the place could use a little love but then got the food and decided it’s a 5 for Mexican food. The prices were very reasonable as well. We will be back
I often stop here. This and the Chinese place across the street are the only decent place in this neighborhood. The food is better here but the deal is better there. Chips and salsa aren't complimentary. Costs twenty bucks, more or less, depending on what you get. Quality is consistent.
Convenient location right off freeway with easy exit and easy on ramp. Good food, generous portions, prices are reasonable and service is good. Parking is okay. A couple tables outside when weather permits.
First let me start by saying that five stars in my opinion is extremely hard to acquire given that all aspects of the establishment have to be taken into consideration, with that being said I gave four stars because this place is and was as close to perfect as I've had thus far. So I thought I would give my review so here it is. The chips and salsa served before the meal were a bit plain but still tasted good. Food presentation was top notch I ordered the "three amigos enchiladas " which included a cheese, a chicken and a beef enchilada and they were very delicious. The dish was served with rice and beans and a side of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. The decor was very nice and had a great desert feel to it which I personally loved. The staff was very pleasant and gave my family and I a great first impression and provided a very comfortable environment. The parking was a bit small but given it location it is understandable. All in all I would still recommend this restaurant to family and friends and those reading this review. Thanks for your time. 👍
Food was really good. Very homey feeling.
The food wasn't terrible- carnitas weren't dry so that's a plus! Friendly staff. The salsa is too chunky and too watery. Good otherwise!
Always like this place, but this time they chanrged me 4.95 for a beer while waiting on my to go order . Damn. Should have got drunk in a booth and spent 250.00.
Excellent food. Friendly service. Reasonably priced. Took awhile to get out food but worth the wait.
This was a lovely local restaurant. We were staying right across the street and tried this place for dinner. It was a cozy authentic atmosphere with above average food. I enjoyed my meal very much and our waiter was extremely friendly. The service was a little slow because the wait staff was also greeting and seating people. Carnitas was out of this world my friend loved his tacos and the Diablo quesadillas were excellent. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would absolutely come back here.
This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! We stopped for gas on our i-5N journey and were looking for options that were not fast food. We got seated very quickly. The ambiance is actually quite cute - oldish, small town vibes with a Hispanic spin. They had Hispanic music to tie in the vibes. The server was very nice and responsive. Their menu is quite extensive with all day breakfast, apps, entrees and some interesting sides. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and the huevos con chorizo as well as a glass of Horchata. The food came quickly and it was freshly made. There was a lack of the heat element but we made do with the hot sauce. The plates were quite big and filling. The quesadilla was good outside of the needing more heat. The guac was VERY good! The huevos con chorizo was also very good except for lack of spice. The beans and rice were excellent and made for a good, filling plate. The Horchata was definitely one of the best I've had in a while. Pricing wise, it is slightly on the higher side for Mexican restaurants but I guess that is expected for a restaurant that is not fast food on the interstate. If you are looking for good food on your journey on I-5, I highly recommend stopping here. They are open from 12 am to 9 pm daily!
How would you feel if the waitress(possible owner) rolled her eyes on you after asking you how was the second meal they brought to you because the first stake tasted funny and I refused to eat it. I also requested no cilantro and I received plenty. When the second meal came it was served on a very hot plate so I waited for everything to cool down. She passed by and asked if this meal tasted better on what I responded, I don't know, haven't tried it yet it is still to hot. That is when I got the eye roll. The second meal tasted better than the last but only in comparison. Overall nothing special or that great for that matter. Us, the customers expect to much from places like this but one thing needs to be priority = customer service. The gentleman who was my server was very polite and patient. If she didn't interact with me the way she did my overall experience wouldn't be that bad. So what if the first meal tasted funny. These things happen.
Decent food, decent prices Hostess not friendly at all. I don't think she said one word. Waitress very nice. Food decent. Good salsa. Maybe a little too many onions. I ordered tacos. Chips and taco shells are over cooked a bit but again, decent. No major complaints.
Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by the hostess and immediately escorted to my seat. The seating area is a bit congested than I would have liked. The host sat me down and took my drink order. He was very attentive during my entire visit. The waitress was very friendly when she came to the table and offered her meal suggestion. I decided to order the cajun shrimp pasta meal. I quickly learned that just because it's on the menu doesn't mean to order it and that sometimes the waitress can have an extremely different experiences with food than I. Because the food was extremely bland. I was confused with the "cajun" title because not only was it not cajun it lacked flavoring in general. The pasta was overcooked and the Alfredo sauce came from the jar not house made. Nonetheless, they did offer a generous portion, but unfortunately it was wasted because it was not a good meal. After my meal, I order butter pecan chocolate as a late night snack.
Server was very helpful, below average food in terms of taste, too much watery salsa. We ordered quesadillas and tacos. Many reviews indicated that place looks dated (we felt the same way) but very good food (in that respect our experience was quite different). others too)
This restaurant has an unusual atmosphere. It looks as though it may have been a somewhat sprawling house at one time, and rumor is that it was once a casino. This makes for heavily segmented dining space, providing a bit more privacy (compared to other restaurants) for conversations among a small group of friends (4-6 people) in a quiet, comfortable setting. The food is good, but fairly standard Mexican comfort food fair. The unique setting provides the main draw, not the food.
Tried to get something at "Red Dot Vegetarian" but the 1-hour wait was too long for us. Stopped here as there were nice covered picnic benches/outside tables. Service = 5, Food = 3, Convenience = 5, Value = 4 The food was a little salty for me. The combos (offered on the back page of the menu) of tacos, flautas, enchiladas, chile relleno, etc. offered enough mix and match choice for people with different eating preferences.
Not many Mexican restaurants near Frazier park. So we drove to this restaurant. I had the chicken tamale which was covered with a sauce that tasted like the canned enchilada green sauce. Big turn off. I also ordered the sampler, some of the chimichangas and flautas were a bit over fried but everything else was good. I must mention though that the person who cleaned up our table found my glasses, went out of his way to look for us outside to hand them to us. I truly appreciate that.
A small but comfortable restaurant. An extensive menu of Mexican dishes. I have to say I was not really impressed with the Carnitas. They said it be in chunks of Pork more and they are more like slices in some were way overcooked. I’ll say one thing for the burritos they are like five pounders. I was also disappointed that we weren’t ask or offered tortillas with our meal. Prices were reasonable.
Service was good. Friendly waitress. The food however was just okay. Chips and cheese dip was pretty good. The salsa had too much cilantro. Cheese enchiladas were not good. My rice was just white rice...not Spanish rice...My husband got the shrimp and chicken fajitas. The shrimp were pretty good but the chicken was not! Too pricey for the quality. Will not return.
I was optimistic when picking this place because a lot of the reviews were hit and miss, and after a long drive I understand that some people are cranky. However, our server talked to us once to order food and that was it. Never checking in, they serve food in togo containers. Guac is $7.50. Fish Tacos was alright.
Man this place has gone down hill. The prices have gone up. But everything else is way, way, down. Stop charging for Salsa when people buy a burrito from you. It should come with it!
I can understand it being a small town and tourists constantly coming and going but the service could have been better. Didnt come back to check on us until we were nearly finished and it wasnt even the waitress! Los pinos chimi was tasty wish they game more sour cream and guac than just a dollop on your plate.
Today my family and I came and it wasn't our first time here. I can't complain about the food since it is good. But the service was awful with a specific waitress/hostess she seemed to be an owner of the restraunt. We were sitting in a table in the back where we were directly under the heater. We had asked if they could turn it down and the older man working there had turned it down for us but the hostess or whatever her role is, started complaining and she turned up the heater again. So we decided to leave since it was unprofessional of her and our request wasn't anything irrational. I expected better service but was greatly disappointed and I won't be returning to a place where a customer's request is completely disregarded.
Who charges for chips and salsa? Basket of chips are given only at half full. Plus, overpriced Mexican joint at top of Grapevine. Service was slow, and place needed to clean up. Oily taste.
The worst Mexican food ever & service was very poor..NEVERY AGIAN WILL I WASTE MY MONEY THERE ..DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE..
The service was terrible, the waitresses never came to serve us. We even felt discriminated against since a couple of Americans arrived after us and they brought them chips and they took their order quickly. I really don't recommend this place, it's a shame that they use a Mexican name to do business and they don't like serving Latinos.
I went in alone. Table of 1. Completely ignored for 20 mins. Once seated didn't recieve a menu for another 15. They charged me for chips and salsa I didn't ask for. Didn't check on the table once. Didn't bring condiments I asked for. Got water at the very veryvend. Way too expensive to be treated like a burden. Used to be my favorite place on the mountain. Now I don't trust the plates to even look consistent one day to the next.
We was craving some good Mexican so on our travels thru California we stopped here first off the waitress we had was not good at all once she brought our food we didn't get any check-ins to see if everything was good or if we needed more drinks nothing we had to ask for the check 2x, 2nd this place does NOT know what mexican rice is this was Chinese rice. I have a app on my phone that I can take a pic and put it on this app and it tells me what it sees it is and guess what it came back saying it's chines rice! Seriously will never come here again.
I stopped in to try out the food here and found it was a waste of my time and money. The employees were unfriendly and food was brought out almost warm. Not only that I bit into a small metal wire when I took a bite of the rice. The waiter replaced my plate after some confrontation, no apologies for the having a small metal item in my food. And also charged me extra for having to redo my meal. The overall quality was unsatisfactory. Poor service. Never going back again.
I specifically asked for a carne asada salad, chopped carne asada ontop of Salad, they first got my order wrong by giving me a tostada, which I then explained twice that all I wanted was carne asada ontop of salad, which Nobody puts refried beans in salad, so why does my salad have refried beans in it??? Not ordering from them again, as last time I ordered from them they also messed up my order.
Customer service so rude and I told the lady please not to put onions tomatoes or cilantro the lady gone tell me after we make your burrito it’s no refund I said please make it right I want need a refund long story short after being hella rude they still put everything I said not to put..they also put peas and corn in my burrito I promise never again
The food is really good! But the service is terrible! Me and my family went for dinner Friday night, and we were ignored THE WHOLE TIME. When we were waiting for a table when we first walked in, another customer had to walk up to the front desk to get her check, so we were thinking that that was odd but maybe she was just in a hurry. No. We Had to do that as well! If you want repeat customers, maybe dont ignore them entirely! Also somehow they got multiple pieces of SHRIMP in my beans (I didn't get anything with shrimp, nor did anyone else at my table). Also there are literally only 3 parking spots.
Came here got a burrito it was small for the price but I felt discriminated against came in placed a to go order an it took a while to come out but during tht wait 2 other African American truckers came in to order an there was also a elderly white lady attempting to pay for her food while dealing with her she kept asking the 3 of us if we had already paid despite just taking our order about 5 to 7 min prior the woman attempting to pay for her food is telling the lady at the counter tht she didn't give her her card back so she walks back to check .....now behind the register they had some jack Daniel's honey and some actual raw honey in jars the older white lady stole 1 lol an the lady who was at the register comes back asking to see my receipt before she hands me my food to ensure I paid..the while time becky stealing honey .......I wont be going back they dont deserve my business
Just witnessed absolutely heartless, despicable treatment of a woman, by the owner and waitress, whose car died tonight in the rain and was only asking if she could charge her phone. I tried to ask her where she was going, English not her first language. I tried to find her. I never want to go to this restaurant again. Plus a former waitress from there told me they recycle people's chips if they're not eaten. Yummy. Pass the chips takes on a whole other meaning here. Have to wonder what other liberties they take with peoples health. Also, instead of a mix of vegetables they cut and grilled a whole onion. Half my food was onions. Not worth what they charge at all. Bad attitudes and bad food.
