A beautiful restaurant in the lake como area like a garden. We ordered salad, local lake fish and homemade pasta. All tasted good. The highlight was their elegant yet cozy atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options, including a lovely courtyard and veranda. It was raining and our only option was inside. It still offered a good view of Lake Como, making it ideal for romantic dinners, family gatherings, and special occasions. The service was extremely courteous, attentive, friendly, and professional, contributing to a warm and welcoming experience.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had made only better by Nicola’s service! We had the lake fish sampler, bacon wrapped filet, radicchio ravioli, chocolate ganache, and a bottle of sauv blanc. Everything was incredible!! The view was breathtaking as well.

The food was simply outstanding. The salmon tartare was a highlight – incredibly fresh and fatty, and the combination with mango and melon was surprising and delightful, balancing richness and freshness perfectly. The pasta was paired wonderfully with fresh, sweet shrimp that tasted like they had just come from the sea (I personally like the pasta to be more well cooked, it’s a little bit hard to me. But maybe it is Italian way) The lamb chops were tender, juicy, and full of flavor, served with beautifully roasted potatoes and vegetables. At first, we chose to sit outside to enjoy the stunning view of the river and mountains. The waitress kindly warned us about the wind, but we decided to try anyway. Eventually, we moved inside, and we’re so glad we did – not only because of the weather but because the interior was a true hidden gem. The design of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with large windows that allow natural light to pour in and offer a view of the lush garden outside. The wood-paneled walls, and soft lighting create a cozy and elegant atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that immediately makes you feel relaxed and well taken care of. The service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. Every detail, from presentation to hospitality, showed care and professionalism. If you’re looking for an authentic and unforgettable Italian meal in a charming setting, I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to return!

Amazing restaurant with the nicest with of Lake Como! The staff (seemed like family, but we don’t know) was extremely nice and kind. They also offered vegetarian and vegan options as we asked. The food was beautifully prepared and so delicious. We had perfect evening at La Breva, thank you so much.

Just an amazing place! Family owned and operated - the service and attention to the details is amazing. The view of the lake is magnificent! The food is great and tastes really good! We went there twice during our stay at Varrena. And definitely will be back at any time we are here. Highly recommend to visit for a relaxing dinner with the family or romantic date.

A beautiful restaurant with views of the lake. Lots of local dishes and lake fish, as well as a wide selection available for different diets (just ask for vegetarian / vegan options). Try the lemon risotto if available. The service was excellent and staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a serene and picturesque place to have a dinner with family and friends.

One of the highlights of our holiday. We arrived at a La Breva after a long day of hiking in the mountains and would have eaten just about anything. Turns out we were in for an absolute treat with a dining experience that capped off the perfect day. The manager made an extra effort to accommodate us at late notice, given it was a busy Saturday evening. The service was as delightful as the food (and wine). Fresh seafood and pasta, presented delicately, and all at a very reasonable price. Our waitress did a fantastic job and really made us feel very welcome. Some of our group live locally and intend on making a return visit very soon. Highly recommended.
