Had an amazing experience and date night at Riva yesterday. Had to share that every dish was bursting with flavor and the staff was so accommodating to any requests my husband and I made. Staff were friendly and scenery was beautiful in the restaurant. Every dish we had was amazing and so filling but we could not stop eating because it was so good. Would recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a great new spot to check out. We really had a great night and dining experience. We will be back again for seconds

Great service I had Selcuk as my waiter. Very friendly had good conversations with him. Food was delicious and great architecture.

The food was delicious and we got to try a lot of different plates . Some dishes were spicy others were not but we had all different tastes and we all enjoyed our meals , we loved the diversity . The service was good , it was late but they still gave us a fork a spoon and a knife for dessert , who does that ?? Nobody probably and that’s why we liked it for the extra details . The waiter Ramsey explained all the food and gave us our time to eat and explore the menus . I hope they can keep up with the service and improve even more eventually , that will make that place a serious competitor on Staten Island . Prices are great and portions are great . Also the busser was attentive and assisted us . Definitely would love to come again

Just tried this new place and it had the best brunch ever. The spinach and feta cheese omelette I recommend the best it melts inside your mouth. I would get another platter if I wanted to. Both waiters working today were the nicest to us and they deserve a raise. This place is going big real soon, I know it. I highly suggest coming here.

I had the chicken shish, and it was very flavorful. The lamb kebab was also super flavorful. The small and full portions were great for 1 person. It all depends on how hungry you are. I had a small portion, and it was very filling. The servers, waiters, and staff were very friendly and had great customer service. The atmosphere is ok for a low-key night. I look forward to dining in again and trying some other options. I do recommend bith dine-in and take out. The quality and flavor of the food are great. I am a satisfied customer!

We’ve been here a number of times and this restaurant is consistently great. The food is fresh and excellent. The falafel and yogurt dips are my go-to. Don’t sleep on the tres leches cake. The service is wonderful from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. They are also very sweet and kind with my kiddo so it’s a great dinner spot for families. Can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve been here for about 10 minutes. People leaving are all telling the host how wonderful the food and service was. In minutes I can see why people like this place. My cocktail was my own design and they got it right on the first try. The meal is fantastic and the food is definitely fresh. The staff is the type of staff that takes pride in every detail from the minute you walk in the door. From the playing of the meal to how they approach the table with your dish you can see immediately that they mean business here. I like it and I recommend this place if you want to support a restaurant that wants to be the best in every way. And man is the seating comfortable. At 40 I find that more and more important.

I went here with some family. For starters we got the mixed mezze platter and it was amazing. The Shepard Salad is absolutely incredible, I would recommend getting it with grilled chicken. Loved everything we had at this place and we felt welcomed even though we came from out of state (with little kids). We came as a party of 10. We tried the cold appetizers (yum!), mixed grill, fried liver, shepherd salad with Bulgarian feta (must try), grilled shrimp, grilled salmon. The kids loved the fried liver! For dessert we had turkish pudding and kunefe and got blessed with complimentary, tres leches cake and cheesecake. They do birthday cheers with music played over speakers. Ample parking is available at the plaza.

This little gem on the south shore of Staten Island was such an amazing find. Came for a pre- birthday dinner and from the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. We sat in the first room of tables with the little sofas (which were surprisingly super comfortable and giving Turkish vibes). They start you off with some homemade bread that you might have to take yourself because it is delicious with and without sauce. For appetizers we ordered calamari (my favorite thing to order) and they were fresh and cooked to perfection just the right crispy outside and melting 🫠 in the inside with just the right taste. For dinner we both had Bronzino (another favorite) which was well cooked chard and grilled so it had a great texture but could’ve used a bit more garlic but definitely worth wasting paired with pilaf rice and salad which complements it well. Our main server was efficient and attentive as well as all the other servers there, whole team helped in making the experience unique. All the food came out rather quickly even if the restaurant was about 75% full. Baklava was good paired with Icecream and tea to top us off made this such an experience we will be back.

Riva is a good Mediterranean restaurant offering homemade Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. Immediately greeted by hosts who opened the door for us and led us to our seats. Very friendly and hospitable servers. Ordered babaganoush appetizer which was delicious eggplant, tahini, olive oil, yogurt and garlic. Ordered the chicken picatta, chicken saute, and the salmon scaloppini. Salmon was cooked well but no seasoning. The chicken picatta was delicious but the best option was the chicken saute which is chicken sauteed with onions, mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes. Definitely recommend the chick saute. Served with homemade tahini sauce and hot sauce.

I was on the South Shore of Staten Island and decided to check out Riva, a Turkish restaurant in the Eltingville - and we’re glad we did. The food and service were both excellent. We started with their cheese gozleme, a flaky pastry with cheese, and hummus. We both had Adana kababs, I had the lamb; she had the chicken. Both were delicious!

I had almost given up on finding good Turkish food in New York until I came across Riva. This place completely changed my mind. Cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and truly authentic flavors. We had the shepherd’s salad, mixed grill, and liver and let me just say, the liver was some of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was full of flavor and prepared to perfection. The künefe tasted just like it does back in Turkey, which is hard to come by. As a Turkish person, I can finally say I’ve found my go-to spot. It’s a bit of a trek to Staten Island, but absolutely worth it. Don’t hesitate to visit! Amazing food and great vibes!

If I could rate this a 10/5 I will! One of the best places I have ever gone out to celebrate and eat something delicious. The service is very fast and extremely nice. They always make sure that you are having the best time. The food and appetizers were made very quickly (compared to some other restaurants I have been to), and it was very delicious. So was the desert. I would definitely recommend the Lava Chocolate Cake. The interior is very clean, and the seats are comfortable. We will definitely come back another time to celebrate something.

I came here for lunch with a friend after seeing the reviews online. Riva’s ambience is welcoming, clean and beautiful. The waiter was very friendly and on point - we ordered the Mixed Mezze Platter which was so delicious … the assortments of dips with the warm fresh bread was perfect. We shared the Mixed meat platter and for extra lamb chops… so juicy and perfectly seasoned. The mixed berry cake and tiramisu were both fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to come back!

We Love Riva. We always order so this is the review just for such transaction. We usually order smoked Egg Plant, Beef Sheesh,Alana kebab and Chicken Chops and everything is always fresh and delicious. Also, it was a good idea to introduce the selection of side order while ordering main dish. We are not fans of house salads and gladly pay a little extra to change it to Sheppard salad. Guys are always nice and great you with smile when you pick up the order.

They served a cheesecake as a "complimentary" item, but later, I noticed it was actually charged on the bill. Additionally, they added a charge for a water bottle we didn’t order. When I brought it up, they refunded the amount, but it was less than what was originally charged. While the overall experience was decent, these billing issues left a negative impression. I’ll be looking for other dining options next time.

Very nice modern interior with authentic Turkish accents. Service is great and menu selection has good choices of meat and vegetarian dishes. Arugula salad with goat cheese filled with fresh leaves but tomatoes was already mushy, cheese cut into 3 large pieces that were hard to distribute equally with the salad and salad dressing was ok. Lamb chops are the star dish. Grilly, tender, delicious. Lamb shank on my taste was extremely overdone with a lot going on sauce and strange taste of mash potatoes. I believe this restaurant definitely is a good place to have a nice meal with your family and friends.
