Met a friend for lunch at Blue Ember. Enjoyed the cleanliness and the light music. We were able to talk without shouting at each other. I ordered the brisket sandwich, mac and cheese, and fried okra. The brisket sandwich was excellent - smoke flavor was very good. Arguably the best brisket in Little Rock. And the okra was hot and fresh - portion size was perfect. I cannot recommend the mac and cheese was very bland - it was bland.

Got the spo plate..I think that's what you call it but they didn't have like other restaurants like a 3 meat or 2 meat plate with 2 sides so the spo plate you can do the sandwich or a platter but it gets pricey especially if you want to add extra meat to it because the spo plate really don't give you enough meat. Bbq is high anyway..overall the food was good but I did have better. I didn't get no sauce with my food so I guess u have to request it when ordering. I know other places a 3 meat is about 25 to 29 and well worth it. I hope they will consider something like that in the future..will return again but it's not my 1st priority

Food was good enough. Turkey was moist, sauce is very good. What bothered me the most is when you walk in the employees do not help you understand the process. I feel as though simply asking guests if they’ve been here before and if not, briefly walking them through the process would improve the ordering experience tremendously

Although it is an exceptional establishment, I must admit that I am not particularly fond of barbecue. However, this particular establishment has managed to change my perspective on the dish. They prepare it on-site, allowing customers to customize their orders. The queue is impressive, and the overall ambiance is fantastic. Conveniently located near my residence, the establishment offers several locations in Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Arkansas, and West Little Rock. Additionally, they have branches in Hit Springs and Rogers.

The atmosphere was pleasant as were the people.. Fresh salad was very good! Those baked beans with a Smokey flavor mmmm! Nice! Fresh fried okra, hot off the press! Even the dessert was really good! I just thought the cake was a bit pricey…$8/slice.. (I’m not much of a beef person, but the turkey was moist and nicely smoked)

In the mood for some bbq? Blue Embers was overall tasty. I ordered pulled pork, which was very good, spare ribs also very good, brisket was tastey but extremely fatty. I also ordered burnt ends, which were hard but had a good flavor. The baked beans were bland and tasted like they were out of a can. Definitely try the potato salad. It's delicious. I recommend Blue Embers if you are in the area. Also, the meat is sold by the pound.

Only been open for a very short time so I am sure they are sorting everything out. I thought the smoked turkey sandwich was amazing. A friend was a little let down and said her food was a little cold. I will be going back. The me he is different than I’m used to as you don’t order combos like at most other places. You order by pound or À la cart. I recommend checking it out and try the smoked turkey. Good

This will be a long standing establishment in West Little Rock. Let's start with the service. The service is like Chick-fil-A. In a sense of friendliness and patience with the customers. Eager to assist and meet your needs. Which makes you feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere. The atmosphere is that of a come in and eat type feel. Initially, it may take you back to your childhood of getting your lunch from the school cafeteria but it's convenient to not hold up the line. You go from meats, slide down to sides and salad. And then you pay. Now for the food. My wife and I ordered 1 lb of brisket - tender. And the original sausage. For the side we had baked beans and coleslaw and potato salad. The brisket was indeed tender slightly fatty but not too much fat. You can see the char on the meat, being tender. You can tell it was well rested and ready to serve. The original sausage, I liked it but my wife, not so much. She wasn't crazy about the meat casing. Me, I liked it. Now the side. The baked beans were good. And the potato salad was good. My wife is picky about "who made the potato salad?" So if she ate it, I'm pretty sure you'll like it too. The coleslaw. In my opinion it was bland. You tell it's a recipe that's being used. But with a little salt and pepper will give it just the flavor you want. All in all, this place should do fine and be around for a long time. Here's my pictures of our meal.

Portion sizes just are not adding up. There is no way this is a half a pound of brisket. Make it make sense. But the foods taste great.

I placed a pick up order, so i have no idea what the atmosphere is like on the inside of the establishment. I ordered 1/2lbs brisket, 1/3lbs sausage, 1 piece of corn, and mac and cheese. The Mac and Cheese is a no go, it tastes more like noodles with more noodles, cheese was not a component in that dish. The Corn was really good, it was sweet and delicious. The Sausage was yummy, adding the bbq sauces was chef's kiss. Flavor was phenomenal. The biggest let down was the brisket. It has an odd after taste that was very off putting. I choose the moist option, but i wouldn't call what i received moist. It was more along the lines of stringy and greasy. The two sauces that i choose where original and kickin’ apple, both had really great flavor.

My husband got half pound of brisket and I got a brisket sandwich. Sides were mac & cheese, okra and fries, although I never asked for the fries and repeated the sides twice and yet they were focused on fries, so I just gave up trying to straighten it out and paid for it. The food: The brisket was lukewarm to cold. The bark was on a thick fat cap indicating the brisket wasn't trimmed properly. The meat was waaay too lean and very dry and no flavor. You couldn't get some bark with the lean without chewing a lot of the fat. There was zero marbling in the brisket which it desperately needed for moisture. My husband's brisket was worse. You couldn't cut through the bark cause it was so dry and hard, lukewarm and chewy. We both left it mostly uneaten. The mac and cheese was an odd texture, almost like a white glue on it. Virtually no flavor at all. The okra was the only edible part. This restaurant has a long way to go to improve. We spent $57 and couldn't eat it. In the barbecue world, it's all about the bark, juiciness and overall flavor. This missed on all points.

When will I learn…actually, when will you learn about customer service. Your meats are good. But when I want a baked potato, you should have them until you close. This happened when you first opened and I took a chance tonight that things may have changed. Placed a pick up order, drove to the restaurant to wait on order. Then someone came out and said you were out of baked potatoes. That should be noted on your site when ordering so I don’t have to drive to the restaurant to find out. After being told “sorry” I cancelled the order and headed to another Barbecue Restaurant that never runs out of potatoes before they close. And what about service recovery? Just a “sorry”? Not even a coupon to say we want you to come back and we will work on the issue. I don’t think you care. Your barbecue is good, but not good enough or different to rise above bad service.

This is sad. What a gorgeous facility. Quality of meat was ok, but it was old. No seasoning. No flavor. Corporate robot cooker bbq. This is not a local heirloom worth visiting, or some new inspired eatery. This is cookie cutter corporate bbq with no soul. It's so sad. And I'm not being hateful. The reviews speak for themselves. The rows of empty chairs speak even more. If the food were what it is supposed to be, what we are being charged for (30$ a lb) there would be a line a half a block long. If you want good bbq, go to Simms.
