Always love eating at sky!!! The cucumber salad is delicious, crunchy and fresh. Servers are nice and attentive and food is always fresh.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Little Rock. Excellent hibachi food served incredibly quickly at a reasonable price point. Can always count on pleasant service and delicious food!
We’ve never been to Sky Japanese restaurant though we frequent other businesses in this area. When we heard that Dessy & Ferry (who also own Samu, one of our longtime favorite places) took over management of Sky Modern Japanese, OF COURSE, we had to come and sample the cuisine. We were not disappointed. Sky has sushi, sashimi and hibachi that is as beautiful to look at as it is wonderful to eat. The ambience is also pleasing and the staff is always friendly and attentive.
I had the tataki Tuna as my appetizer, it taste so fresh and not fishy at all. My favorite menu is the house salad with the ginger dressing and the Tokyo drift roll. The atmosphere was really good feels like you can chilling while you eating. The staff was so friendly which is nice. Will be back here soon!!
First time here and the sushi was great. The rock n roll is was my favorite. It had a good amount of fish and the cucumber wrap was refreshing. Plus the restaurant is pet friendly. My pup and I was able to sit on the patio to enjoyed the beautiful weather.

We love Sky and visit almost once a week, especially ever since new management took over in July. The staff is always so warm and welcoming and our food is always perfect. The owners also always come around to say hello and treat us like family. The sushi chefs put so much thought and energy into our meal each time. Would definitely recommend!
The service was excellent. The manager was so friendly. The sushi was fantastic. I tried the Rocky mountain roll with no crunchy and they carry gluten free soy sauce. My 7 year old ordered hibachi and loved it but also ended up eating his own little tuna roll.
Best clear soup I've ever had! The rice was also better than any other I've had. The scallops were good and the service was great too!
#1 place for Sashimi! See photos. Been to a few local places and none have delivered an amazing product at a respectable price like they do. Sashimi Dinner/Platter is crazy generous portion wise (thick fish slices-no skimp) and taste fresh, no freezer flavors.
The food was excellent. The service was top notch. Altan was amazing! The manager provided the most wonderful customer experience we’ve ever had. Five stars and more!!
Sushi was delicious, everything I tried had a fresh and flavorful taste. Was a wonderful experience with my girlfriend, and a great place for a date.
So popped in for a quick lunch at a sushi place that I have never been to. So I ordered the pleasant ridge roll and the omega 3 roll. It took about 20 mins to order and receive the sushi rolls but I wasn’t in a hurry. Both rolls looked amazing. Pleasant ridge roll is lightly fried. Didn’t realize that! But it was really good with the spicy mayo. The omega 3 had seared salmon that tasted fresh, with just a hint of smokiness. Both were very good and I will definitely be back here again.
The spring rolls are good but wish there were more maybe 4 per appetizer instead of 3. Onion soup good, miso soup standard so good, salad with ginger dressing good, hibachi is okay the chicken was a bit dry, the veggies were good and rice good as well. I enjoyed it overall and would come back. The service was good as well everyone friendly and i think the prices are good as well. Its 17 and change for hibachi but comes with soup and salad as well so i think it was worth it.
Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars - they didn't have a Hawaiian roll on the menu that I was craving. Everything we ordered was awesome. Also had fried cheesecake which was great.
I’ve tried Fillet minion Hibachi is really delicious. I just don’t like their steak sauce made with wasabi. 6/18/2019 I ordered pork ramen.
Has been fresh every time our family has visited. It's definitely not your average Japanese restaurant. The chili flavored fries are delicious and the sushi selections meets most of my expectations. One thing that is my personal preference: I don't like that they took my glass to a back room somewhere to refill my water. I prefer that they bring a carafe and fill my water with the same water they're giving everyone else. That's being petty, maybe, but the meals are good so that's the only thing I could find to complain about. Overall, great place to meet up with friends and family.
Went Sunday we had a pretty large party and our solo waitress was overwhelmed and needed help after waiting a lengthy time and receiving my entree the food was bland no flavor whatsoever. Had to use quite a bit of soy sauce. I doubt if I will be returning
This is my first time ever leaving a bad review on a restaurant! I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I went to dinner with my husband for date night. This was our first and only time eating at this establishment. The employees were sitting on their phones with plates in front of them in the dining area. I have NEVER seen that in any restaurant let alone working in restaurants in my teen years. The food made me immediately have to use the restroom and I threw up. I called the restaurant to explain how the food made me feel as well as request a refund since we live nearly an hour away. They declined and said I needed to go to the hospital to prove I was sick. Our waitress wasn’t awful but there were a few times we were looking for her. All and all, I would not recommend for anyone to eat here.
My family had a terrible experience. My mom offered the hibachi teriyaki salmon and my child and I ordered the lobster & filet mignon hibachi. When our food was brought out I smelled something off. I mentioned the smell to my mom and tried to figure out what it was, it was almost like a faint roadkill smell. My daughter took a bite of the lobster which looked strange and spit it out immediately. The foul smell was the lobster. We notified the waitress who took the plates and asked if we wanted to continue eating the other items on the plate (no due to cross contamination) or if we wanted a new order. We declined due to our appetite being off now. At the end our waitress charged us still for our soup and salad (which came with the dinner orders). I was unhappy with the experience and the fact we still got charged. I don’t recommend this establishment.
