Alexi! First and foremost, thank you so much. Your service was great. Never had us waiting for anything, checked up to be sure things were outstanding and the food, GREAT. Large sandwiches and the pasta was just as tasty! Thank you so much. If you’re reading this, stop thinking about it. Come!
I am not a fan of sandwiches, but my bf is and these sandwiches were 10/10. We got the Friday I am in Love and the Yasss Queen! The jalapeño poppers and garlic fries were perfect. The service was super quick and friendly. We’re definitely coming back with our family next time.
I got a recommendation for this restaurant in the city of Livermore. They have the best sandwiches! The lasagna is so tasty, They have all kinds of delicious Italian food, and vegetarian options as well, Staff is really nice and friendly, I hope to come back soon. Highly recommended.
I’ve come here two weekends in a row after looking for a deli in my area. This place is an absolute hidden gem. I can’t stop raving about it and I can’t wait until I get back. iIf this restaurant were downtown Pleasanton or Danville they’d have a line and reservations booked out for months, can’t say enough about the sandwiches with bread that they finish baking there or the chicken Parm or their amazing meatballs. Thank you to Natalie and Cami for great service as well.

Americano is one of my favorite restaurants in Livermore! Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service and they have a dog-friendly patio as well. I have tried 6 of the 20 sandwiches in their menu, and enjoyed them all - Americano, Skinny Chick, The Breakup, Friday I'm in Love, Mr.Fred and King Kong. And occasionally, I get a $5 discount code from their Square account. It's one of my go-to places when I crave for wholesome sandwiches.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — One of the best restaurants in Livermore (and a must for Italian-American comfort food) Americano on 978 Murrieta Blvd in Livermore, CA is hands-down one of the best restaurants in Livermore and an easy recommendation if you want a delicious, welcoming spot with consistent quality and great vibes. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is run with pride—friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, and food that feels like it was made with care (because it is). The service is truly standout. Everyone is upbeat, attentive, and helpful without being pushy. Whether you’re dining in, grabbing takeout, or placing a quick online order, the team makes it smooth and easy—exactly what you want from a top restaurant in Livermore CA when you’re hungry and on a schedule. Now the food: so good. Everything tastes fresh and satisfying, and the portions hit that perfect sweet spot—generous, but not sloppy. The menu has something for everyone, and it’s the kind of place where you can confidently bring family, coworkers, or out-of-town guests and know it’ll be a win. You can tell the kitchen is consistent, and that’s what keeps people coming back. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable—great for a casual lunch, an easy dinner, or even a larger group meal. And the location is super convenient with easy access, which makes Americano a go-to when you’re searching for great food in Livermore and don’t want to gamble on somewhere new. If you’re looking for a great local restaurant with excellent service, a welcoming vibe, and food that delivers every time, Americano is it. This is the kind of place that quickly becomes a regular stop. Highly recommend!
Americano in Livermore is a must-visit. The Mr. Fred pastrami is stacked and flavorful, and the Godfather & Mob sauces take everything to the next level. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service—even when busy. Easily one of the best sandwich spots in the East Bay. Highly recommend!
I finally tried the "Friday I’m In Love" at Americano and it lived up to every bit of the hype. The combination of pastrami and turkey was perfectly balanced, and the Godfather sauce (their legendary garlic-herb spread) adds such a unique, rich flavor. The Americano slaw gave it a nice crunch that cut through the richness of the meat. It’s a huge sandwich definitely enough for two meals!"
After a business meeting we looked up a place to get lunch.(Not from the area,) We split the King Kong sandwich. Good thing we split it. Its a very large sandwich. Very, very tasty. One that will be remembered. If your in the area definitely stop by. They'res a litvon the menu to choice from.
If you’re craving a serious sandwich, go to Americano. The portions are massive, the ingredients taste fresh, and the flavors are on point. Staff was welcoming and quick, and the vibe is fun and old-school in the best way. Highly recommend for lunch or takeout.
Favorite sandwich spot of all time. Love the King Kong sandwich. Alexi helped me put and was super nice. He actually remembered me from when I used to go to the San Mateo location years ago. Glad to see this business going strong.
My server Alexi was super friendly, polite, and made sure we had everything we needed. The chicken Parmesan pasta was delicious. It was really well marinated and so tender. Highly recommend.
My partner and I visited Americano for the first time and were amazed by the quality of the food and service. Our server, Alex, was very attentive. We shared the Tiger Woods with garlic fries, and they were delicious. We'll definitely be back.

I tried the Parmesan sandwich with the crunchy Dutch bread and it was honestly so good. It came out nice and warm, which made it even better. The bread had the perfect crunch on the outside but was still soft inside, and the Parmesan flavor really stood out without being overwhelming. On top of that, the staff and service were amazing — you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Even though it’s fast-paced, everything still feels attentive and welcoming. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely be coming back.

Got an Americano sandwich to go. Huge sandwich, shared with my husband enough for dinner for 2. My husband said it was a fabulous sandwich. I couldn't even eat the entire half of my sandwich and saved it . . it was still even delicious the next day! We will definitely be going back! Very friendly, efficient service also. Can't wait to try other menu items there!
This is THE place for sandwiches. We’ve tried their other food items but they were really disappointing, so tried their sandwiches and we’ve never looked back. They are loaded with meats and delicious ingredients and are huge. They are a little pricey but completely worth it. Their sourdough bread is *chefs kiss* they add godfather sauce to everything so I normally don’t get it because it makes the sandwich soggy and their coleslaw could use a revamp. The onion rings are made in house and are always crunchy and delicious. The restaurant always has a weird smell so we get our sandwiches to go. The interior is very in your face “Italian” and all the decor is dusty and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since they opened. The guy that sometimes answers the phone is a little rude but you can be rude all you want as long as you keep making these amazing sandwiches.
Amazing sandwiches. The Americano is like an Italian on steroids. The sauce, the slaw and the meat are perfect. The Rick the Rock with turkey and a jalapeño popper sounded weird…but omg. Don’t sleep on that one. Fries were excellent too. One mention: it’s not cheap. At heart $20 for a sandwich it’s a treat and well worth it now and then.

We were traveling in California. I stumbled across Americano as a place I wanted to visit. I wasn't sure that we were going to make it in time before they closed - they do close a bit early in my opinion, but luckily we made it. It was busy, so service was a little slow. What we got: Chicken Tetrazzini - It was good (not great), nice and cheesy, but I felt like the sauce could have been more flavorful and thicker. Americano - fantastic flavorful sandwich. This was the win out of our two orders. Sandwiches, while expensive, are worth their value. I'd recommend Americano if you were in the area, but not a place I'd go out of the way for.

Food and service were great. It seemed a little pricey for a sandwich.
While the quality of the food is still great. And rhe staff is still attentive. I have developed a couple of issues with the offerings at Americano. They used to have a large and varied menu with a list of over 20 different sandwiches alone to choose from for lunch. There were vegetarian sandwiches that have left the menu, and the excellent burger that was available is also gone. Add to that, the portions have been reduced. I know that this has been common due to overhead increases everywhere. I long for the menu we had a year ago at Americano.

Expensive for the quality you get. $54 for 2 subs is more than what I pay in San Franciaco and the subs are medium size not shareable. Mr pickle is much cheaper and way better. Cold subs are better than the hot one. They put nacho Queso in Philly cheesesteak! He put the 2 subs in the tiniest bag. Big enough for a donut and no napkins inside. Not coming back for sure.
The sandwich’s are delicious but definitely getting more pricy. Was disappointed this last time I ordered food I got onion rings, when I got home there were no onions inside! When I called the restaurant to fix it, the owner (I think), said there’s nothing he can do and I have to go online. There was no customer service link on their website. I ordered through their website, not an external service. Very disappointed that they wouldn’t accommodate their mistake!

I don’t normally leaves reviews but the indifference from the staff was just crazy. First time customer… all the reviews seemed great. We ordered two sandwiches, $50 bucks later it took almost 50 minutes to get them. My Americano was over toasted, bread hard. The deli meat still had the plastic casing on it. Brought to their attention, he was like ok… Ok? Did he expect me to pick it all off each piece? I said no thank you… asked for a refund. He told me he had to ask his boss, 20 minutes later. Refunds just the Sandwich🙄 yea.. not a good experience
i'm not certain if this place has new owners, but last time we went, got the spaghetti, what a disappointment. The cheese was hard and dried out, it was horrible. First time was a sandwich and was pretty good. but will not be back . price went up quality and service way down. Good Luck.
