Ben's Burgers

Classic flat top burgers like you might get at a local baseball game. Fries were good too if you like thick fries with a potato taste. Onion rings are well done, stayed together when you bit into them. Will definitely be back.

Amazing fries that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The garden burger is made with a black bean patty (my favorite!) and the people that work there are so nice.

I'm always looking for good food in the places I work in. This burger place is top notch. Has that classic burger taste that is sometimes really hard to find for a price that seems almost a steal. I'll definitely be back!

It's not fancy, it's just very good at what it is. If you want a simple, classic burger and fries from a modest, mid-century-style diner, this is it.

Solid for sure, 4.5 overall, but I'll round up - because the service was good, it was affordable, and the food was tasty. Western burger, fries, and a cup of ice water was $12 ($13 with tip), which is a good value in 2025! It came on a French roll, not a bun, which was a little bit dry - that was my only qualm. But overall, very good meal for the price, I will definitely be coming back. EDIT: I went back and got the same thing on a round sesame bun, it was even better!

I've been coming to Ben's almost once a month now since I moved closer. The first time I had it was like 15 years ago. Very consistent the corndogg and loaded hotdogs are awesome! Always super friendly service. Just hard to beat a really good fresh avocado burger I always add a pineapple. Don't skip on their onion rings or chicken nuggets either! Will always come back.

This place is not fast food, do not put it in that category. My wife and I love this place and miss it dearly. I don’t know why this place doesn’t have a line out the door. No one anywhere beats his prices! I recently had a burger at a fast food chain for twice as much. If you live close by or traveling and are hungry make sure this place is your first choice. We live elsewhere now but still haven't found a burger joint that is quite like this one. Ben has the best teriyaki burger on the planet. The milkshakes and fries here are great compliments to the burgers. I think Foster freezer has the best fries. Not many of them around anymore. Ben's fries aren't greasy and mirror Foster's the best. Look no further you have found the perfect place.

The same food that I fell in love with 34 years ago is still as good as the first time I ever had it. Nothing like the classic Ben's Burger and fries. I remember living a couple miles from here and all the memories of walking them just so I could have an ice cream treat when I reached my destination. I have a 34 year old memory attached to this review. Absolutely delicious!

So happy I found Ben’s! I love a traditional style burger which is why I tried them to begin with. The burger was fresh and yummy and just had that nostalgic touch that is so hard to find. The balance of meat, veg and bun was spot on. Excellent bun and meat was flavorful. Good, old fashioned fries and sincere service. Did I mention the prices are awesome? Thanks Ben!

I love this little mom and pop shop burger joint. Very simple, so don’t expect anything out of this world. The food they make there is similar to the food I’d make at home for my family. I like to take my two year old here for a quick bite and to split a shake. Reminds me of my childhood :) support this business they always do great.

Im from outside of livemore but wanted a quick bite and saw this place. It a little inconspicuous but the gentleman got my order which was a western 1l3 lb burger with fries and drink. Came out to $16 and man it was good. The burger came on a roll which threw me off but it did make it easier to enjoy. The meal was fresh and fries cook crispy. Really enjoyed my meal.

Decided to grab a burger on one of the hottest days of the summer. Great burger but wished there were pickles in my sandwhich. There were fans everywhere so i stayed super cool and had a great time. Bens burgers has been around since before i was born and im glad to know livermore keeps ma and pa shops around.

Ben's burger has been a staple of living in Livermore. With exception to springtowners, the May Nissen park is a childhood memory for the current adults. More often than not this also includes getting a solid burger after a fun swim. Ben's burger is just great, a burger that's just good ol beef and deep fried fries and real ice cream shakes. Nothing fancy, nothing crazy, but the same quality every single time.

Been coming to Ben's burgers for 20+ years. I stop in everytime I visit my parents. I order the "Ben's burger" comes on a soft French roll, juicy and delicious everytime.

The food was ok, nothing special. Onion rings were the standard breaded frozen rings. The burger meat was not frozen which was good for a place like this, but average quality, nothing special, plus they do not season the meat. A little salt and pepper or some home made seasoning would be a great improvement

Ben's burgers are ok. I wouldn't say anything good or bad. All I know is I left unsatisfied and still felt a little hungry. The place is nice and clean and the lady at the counter is friendly. The 1/4lb special said $7.19 I think it was and when I paid it was $8.40. She said you want cheese however there is cheese on the picture so another gimmick to get you to pay more than expected and too late cuz you are there with coworkers and dont want too look that cheap. Yeah so my conclusion.....I won't be going back. Sorry Ben

So we ordered the fish and chips tonight with prawns the fish was the smallest fish I’ve ever seen and was just horrible and the prawns were flat and dry, pretty much over fried and the fries were horrible. I thought I would try this place out after trying Louise fish and chips which by the way were amazing best I’ve ever had but I thought I would give Ben’s a try and oh my God I’m not exaggerating, but my dog and cat are going to have it for dinner and I just am so disappointed what a waste of money on the fish and chips and the prawns.

I got be honest the food here is great made to order the that owner not so friendly and of course NOt friendly service AT ALL😒😒😒 am just here for that food my e if they were more friendly i would be here more frequently

I would give a zero star but I just ordered today a bens burger and I told him 3 times only Mayo lettuce and cheese and he put mustard. So I called him and complained and he told me to come in and do I did and he just remade my burger I told him the onion rings are cold now. He told me there's nothing wrong with them. Don't ever go to Ben's burger a great business will remake everything. Terrible STAY AWAY.
