It is rare to find Asian food in Costa Rica but we were pleased with our lunch at P.F. Chang’s. We had a few appetizers, drinks and entrées; everything was delicious and good sized portions. Our waiter was excellent and took great care of our party of six. It was a convenient walk from Cima and our first visit but based on our experience, we would recommend P.F. Chang's!
Great reasonable priced food. Good atmosphere, public parking for fee, beautiful location.
One of the amazing places to try Asian food in Costa Rica.. and if you ever visit, don't miss their Dynamite Shrimp.. I repeat, don't miss their Dynamite Shrimp. Of course there at many items on their menu which are amazing and incredibly tasty. In drinks you should try Ginger Beer if you are not into alcohol.
My first time at a PF Chang’s. I have to admit I was surprised, very nice interior, many good food options, and pretty attentive service. I had the spicy chicken over rice, it was very good. I’d go back again.
Overall very impressed. Prices and taste of the food were identical to those in the US. I’m surprised it wasn’t more expensive. Restaurant was clean and service was good as well. Location is excellent, very accessible and in a safe area. No hesitations whatsoever recommending it.
PFChangs at Avenida Escazu was awesome! The Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken were tasty, and the prices were fair. The service was good and on point. I'd totally recommend it for a yummy meal!
Everything was excellent. Food and drinks tasted great. Service was excellent. Didn't have a reservation but got seated right away. Dragon sake, dynamite shrimp, mongolian beef and combo meat lo mein all were great.
There are so many dishes that look interesting to try. What I like is that it's so easy to build there a proper healthy dish, as they have all sorts of meats and vegetables. Our vegetable "Buddha feast" combined really well with beef.
We went to P.F. Chang's to watch the Football World Cup match between Costa Rica and Germany. The atmosphere was great! We all celebrated Costa Rica's goals very enthusiastically with the whole restaurant, both clients and staff. Unfortunately Costa Rica lost the match and thus the chance to move to the next stage. Nevertheless, the atmosphere, the food and the service were excellent! This place is always a nice experience, so I will always recommend it.
We always make it a point to go here when we visit San Jose -- so yummy! But it's ALWAYS packed.
Good authentic Chinese food. Beautiful restaurant. Service was excellent.
The salad I ordered (with shrimp) was good. Middle-ranged prices. Located in a nice shopping center.
Delicious food, nice decoration, perfect service! A little pricy but totally worth it.
Second time visiting. Veg food was delicious; however, the first time the dish had a lot more tofu that the second time.
If you ever want to try some good Asian food, P.F Chang's is the place. There are limited vegetarian options but those are very good as well. If you are a non vegetarian, you would find lot of options Service was great.
Friendly, great food. One of our favorite places. Prices are great too.
Great service, nice decoration and ambience, the best Honey Chicken I’ve ever tried! Desserts are amazing, I definitely would come back
It was great! Everyone was very friendly. Food was great. Waiting time was next to nothing.
Came in for drinks and snacks, definitely are worth checking out.
White Sangria, Low Main (combo), Kung Pao Shrimp. Good service, great tasting food.
Nice place, great food. Good customer service.
Always, consistently amazing, so many flavors of fusion, I love PF Changs - Thank you for really cool culinary experiences !
Great size, great dishes. Drinks where incredible. I enjoyed my dinner a lot
Went here for lunch with colleagues. Was better than I expected. My coworkers all seemed to enjoy their meals too. Don't expect real Chinese food though. This is more like westernized Chinese food. Still, was tasty.
We went to this location for dinner last night with our dog. Without a reservation, they seated us immediately. We had the patio to ourselves with the fire heat lamp. Our waitress was very friendly and alert when it came to our food allergies. The atmosphere is relaxed and away from the busy hustle streets we’ve been used to here in Costa Rica. I would recommend this location for sure! There are vegan and gluten free options.
Great food, staff and atmosphere!
Excellent meal and service but music was a bit loud. We were seated beside staff access to patio and automatic door kept opening to noise from highway. Ask for seating in main dining room!
The restaurant was too loud in my opinion. The dumplings were good, but the shrimp fried rice was not worth it. Servers didn't speak English, but they tried their best.
Overall a good experience. Food was good. Portions reasonable. Service good. Price ok. It has a comfortable atmosphere, and you can sit inside or on the terrace. Asian type food. This is a global chain. The restaurant is located in the trendy business mall area, so it's good to walk around.
I was in Costa Rica for dental work. So I really was prematurely eating at PF Chang's. The soup worked, but the pad Thai was too much for my mouth. The staff were very attentive and wanted to help.
Good place to grab some healthy vegan food in Escazú. Great service.
Great place, excellent service. I did not see that many options for diabetic people but the food was very tasty
Place it’s actually pretty good, food and drinks, sitting can be better and way too much noise. Still a good time.
Delicious food, service and bit slow but still worth it
Great service, great food. A sour sweet soup tasted like ketchup with beef broth, it was not special at all, and for the other dishes, they were fine, but you would expect an AMAZING flavor for the price you pay, and that wasn't the case. They were just fine! If you go yo a cheaper, more traditional place you'll get food twice as tasty for half the price
It’s PF Changs. The food is good, not outstanding, not super creative, but good. The location in Escazu is nice and very convenient. The service was perfect and the atmosphere was only slightly more “sports bar” like than in the states.
Visited PF Chang’s in Costa Rica and was disappointed. The food was meh and boring, dumplings were merely hot and did not taste fresh, the meat in the fried rice were so big they looked like mini steaks, not bad but definitely not up to the standard of other PF Chang’s I’ve tried abroad. The bathroom was a complete mess and needs serious attention. Overall, it was just OK. As a local, I probably won’t be back. Let me know if you’d like me to tweak it further or add anything specific!
The food was okay not what we expected considering upon the reviews. The portions were quite small considering the price of each meal, especially when some dishes requiring sauce had barely some just to say. Although, the service was very good and the ambience jolly and festive.
Some dishes were better than another. Highly recommending the parmesan shrimp dumplings - delicious. Portions are big. All main courses coming with white rice.
There were 5 of us. The other 4 enjoyed their lunches. I ordered the shrimp Caesar salad. Was served on a warm plate with way too much dressing and the croutons were layers of maybe wonton wrappers. Lettuce was limp. The shrimp was okay. And why would spring rolls be cut in half lengthwise? The one waiter kept reaching in front of us to serve plates and drinks instead of moving around the table. The restaurant is loud, not because of music, but because of the design. Sorry, just not a big fan of this chain in any location I've been to.
Although we showed up without a reservation, they were able to seat us very quickly. The menus were all in English, except for the drink menu. Our server was polite and friendly. Drinks came out very fast. Our food came out much quicker than we expected. Everything had a good presentation and good flavor. Tastes were slightly different from the US, but still very good.
The service was a great. The waiter couldn't be any more attentive. The ambient is nice an relax. But the food is less than average. Even for an americanized or fusion version of what they advertise, the ingredients and seasoning lack freshness, quality and savour. Go for a chill time with friends and family. Don't go for a tasty meal.
It has nice atmosphere and view but the food was not good at all. No flavor or taste anything like Chinese food. I had shrimp with lobster sauce and Mongolian beef which was decent.
This is an update to coming here a year ago. I am very disappointed in customer service as we wanted to reserve a table for 6 for my wife's Birthday Dec 9th 2018. We called the same day and they stated there was no space available. We were going to go somewhere else but decided to show up anyways as they opened at noon. We arrive at 12:10 and the place was empty. Even an hour later there was still hardly anyone here. In regards to the food, well sometimes its done well and others less than mediocre. Take for example a year ago when here we had the lettuce wraps and the rice noodles were stale. Managers excuse was they did not have fresh ones. He wanted to argue instead of just comping or exchanging for another dish. :( I am a big fan of PF Changs as i frequent here often and was at the grand opening in Charlotte NC over 15 years ago. This tico location needs to get their act together and realize the customer is always right. I can say there has been a change of personal since a year ago and I have frequented here over 2 dozens time since. 2 stars is for the inconsistency of food being prepared well, lying about being full and no space available and mediocre service.
The food at P.F. Chang's is just awful. It doesn't have any authentic qualities at all. The rice is tough, and the pork is both tough and has no flavor. The dumplings just taste like mush and salt. The drinks are decent, but everything else in this place is simply terrible. It's disgusting.
DO NEVER order delivery from this place. I’ve tried it at least 3 times and it’s always disappointing and overpriced. Old shrimp that feels it’s been frozen, thawed, frozen again to then be cooked and served, no freshness whatsoever. Compensating lack of flavor with too much salt. The beef in the mongolian beef had a weird texture as well. Absolutely disgusting.
Poor service. Particularly if you are solo. You are not a priority for them. Was there today and left after an hour of sitting. Waiter made a lame excuse about there being a problem due to a new system. However other people around me were receiving their food while I waited. Their food is Not that good to wait for an hour. Sadly I won't be returning. I have been there a couple of times before and no matter how many tables are available they request I eat at the bar. Well not happening anymore! It most likely is about money- a couple or a group equals more money, at least they assume. However I could have purchased food to go in addition to my dine in food that could have amounted to twice the amount of money their 2- 3 person table were so spending. A good restaurant is going to treat everybody as important. You , PF Changs, do not meet the criteria. BTW, I have ordered your food via Uber eats multiple times. Will no longer do so.
Worst sit-down service in 3 weeks of traveling Costa Rica. A Very rude, impolite waitress that turns a good meal into a bad experience. Management shall positively strive to encourage the exceptional service that occurs when service workers take a genuine interest in their customers. In our meal, there was a total lack of business.
Ordered kung pow chicken. It was old, stale dried up battered pieces of chicken. And worse, it had no flavor! Even the rice was stale. Not my first time eating at this pf changs. Last time I was in san jose my wife and I enjoyed a meal there. But they have obviously changed! It was so bad I threw it out and will not be going back there.
I had the vegetarian lettuce wraps, hot sake, and spicy vegetarian noodles. I shared that I was vegan and had a dairy allergy. I’ve been sick since the entire night and morning. Miserable. Hoping I won’t need to have my electrolytes restored at ER. Also, the hot sake arrived in dirty glassware. Don’t do it. Avoid.
