Try the lunch specials. The daily specials are on the chalk board at the entrance. The lunch specials are in their own section of the menu. I had the Riviera Special. One al carbon taco, a cup of tortilla soup, small guacamole salad, rice and beans. The meat is tender, the soup delicious. The guacamole is fresh and good. The refried beans have whole beans in them, nice texture. The rice is average. The tortillas are fresh-made and delicious. The iced tea is good and dark. I'm coming back for a big bowl of tortilla soup. The veggies weren't mushy. Good flavor.

Best mexican food in town. Authentic. Great staff,and friendly great music. Margaritas frozen or on the rocks.great lunch specials and dinner. So many delicious dishes to choose from. The owner he is awesome as well .

(during pandemic, Be sure you have lens on your camera...for the menu...) I love their food. However on different visits I have found small dead ants in my ice. Atmosphere tends to be noisy. Servers always pleasant. Food worth the visit.

Jalisco style tacos were good but the prices have gone up significantly recently. 3 tacos was roughly $17. Service was subpar. Every time that something was going to be brought to the table (chips, water, check, etc) it was at least 5 minutes before they came back. Very crowded and loud inside.

The drinks are a decently priced, especially for the amount you are served. Their homemade chips and salsa are really good, but the salsa comes across more spicy than flavored. The restaurant itself could also use a good cleansing, because there were tables still with used dishes still on them, and staff were standing around talking. My waiter/bartender was kind and had a great disposition. While I wouldn't necessarily make this my go to place, I wouldn't be adverse to going back either.

Got double charged last night. They said one transaction was declined and made us pay twice. The charge is still on my account.

Literally the worst experience I've ever had in Lockhart. My wife's shrimp cocktail came out ten minutes after my meal, and hers doesn't require any cooking 👎 when bill came, I was charged twice and then badgered until I paid again. Will not ever return.

For being a Mexican restaurant with Mexican cooks, this food tasted like they bought the ingredients from Taco Bell. I was not impressed and disappointed. Too expensive.

We had a bad experience there the food portions are bad no pie the steak a la Mexicana was less than the Sala bowl for the price of the plate was not worth it. The homemade tortilla were so hard. We came once before my and was thinking let's try again since we were in town. Bad mistake.

Yuck is all I can say. I ordered 2 carne guisada tacos, which is beef and GRAVY which is not what I got. I got greasy meat on a tortilla. I couldn't even eat it, it was greasy. So I basically donated $10.28 to this restaurant smh... UPDATE the beautiful taco that has gravy IS what carne guisada is supposed to look like! Herbert's taco hut in San Marcos is AMAZING! Their tacos aren't full of grease!
