Sam's Pizza and Subs in Locust Grove is known for its BOGO pizza deal and generally fast delivery. Many customers praise the pizza quality and customer service, especially delivery driver Chris. However, some report issues with cold food, incorrect orders, and inconsistent sauce.
Tip: Take advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free pizza deal. Be sure to check your order for accuracy, especially if ordering delivery.
As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a very friendly hello. The food is good and very diverse menu. Great customer service and the steak and cheese is great!
Very good chicken pita! 1st time there, walked in & ordered to go. It came up very quickly. The guy taking my order was so sweet, smiles for miles. I got home after a tiring day and enjoyed the gyro, tziki sauce tasted pretty good too. Thanks 👍🏼✌🏽
Very good pizza, chicken Alfredo pizza my favorite!
Love there pizza. And atipas salad. Very nice generous people 👍
Very good pizza. Amazing steak and cheese best I’ve ever had. There fried mushrooms are a hit or miss they can be amazing, or it can be like eating 10 year old road kill somthin like that but overall I love this place.
So, I ordered 2 steak and cheeses and a salad from this restaurant (love their steak and cheeses) and the driver accidentally delivered my food to the house down the street. Honest mistake. I called the restaurant and they explained what happened along with SO MANY apologies. However, they explained that the woman who received my food not only didn’t say “hey, I didn’t order this” but she SIGNED MY CREDIT CARD RECIEPT!!! My older sister is friends with this woman and texted her and asked if she ordered Sams and she lied and said she did and that “they got her order wrong... again!”.. the awesome woman I spoke to at sams told me that only 2 people on my street ordered food from sams and it was not her, yet she claimed she ordered all of this food from there. That “Karen” is the same woman who bashed this restaurant in January claiming that the workers there are “rude” and “disrespectful”. She is the type of person that tries to get free stuff from places and her reviews and lies about a business are irrelevant. If you see “Charlesnanna” make a review about anything, pay no mind to it. She probably got mad that they didn’t give her free sh*t! This place has amazing food and the employees are super nice and have good customer service. I’ve never had a poor experience dining in or with any food delivery.
After a long day of driving it was nice to call in our order and pick it up on the way home. Every time we go here the people who work there are always smiling.
So good! Have had the calzone, mozzarella sticks and pizza... all are AMAZING and they use this delicious chunky marinara that is to die for!! Everything was delivered fast with very friendly service (the gentleman who delivered the first time gave me some info about the neighborhood I just moved into and was very nice to my rambunctious kids). My oldest even raved about how good the kid's spaghetti was... he's usually so so picky and refuses to eat at a lot of places, so that's a major accomplishment. Love this little place!
We got half way through our 14 hour drive home and decided to stop in for some pizza. The ladies who were working were amazing! They came out to our car to let us know our food was ready, offered water to our dogs and made great conversation! The pizza was bombastic! Would highly recommend stopping in here for some grub 👌
My husband and I love there steak and cheese pizza. We ordered last night a Pepperoni and cheese and a steak and cheese I asked them to not to put mushrooms on it because I am highly allergic to them. We went back to night ordered two more steak and cheese pizza. The women were very nice to my husband and me. So was the manger. I want to thank you all for making me and my husband feel welcome.
Online order delivered in an amazing 35 minutes from time of order. Food was perfect with no issues. Excellent flavor!! Standout highlight is their BOGO Pizza offer. Highly recommend.
So, after reading a few recent, but critical reviews, I thought I'd revisit this place and see how their quality and service were holding up, or not. I did notice that some of the older, rather brief five star reviews (only 0 to 7 words long), seemed like they may have been made by employees or the owner or something. At 8:20 PM I called in and ordered two extra-large pizzas, after seeing the website offer two-for-one (equal or lesser value) pricing. The man receiving my call asked me to wait a moment. After maybe five seconds or so, he was able to take my order. He was polite, patient, and took a few seconds to make sure he understood the correct spelling of my street name. I asked to pay with my bank card, and he was quick, but professional in making sure he took down the right card number and expiration date. I asked him to verify the two-for-one pricing, and when he read me the total, it was the correct two-for-one price. He said the order would arrive in about 45 minutes. Late on a last-minute Saturday night order, I found this to be acceptable. At 8:55 PM (35 minutes after I made the order), the pizza arrived. Exactly as ordered. It was piping hot, had the exact toppings it was supposed to, and tasted quite good. While I certainly don't doubt the other experiences some have recently noted, at least for tonight, we got some very good pizza, exactly how we asked for it, and very quickly, at a reasonable price.
The pizza and wings were very delicious. The server was friendly and polite.
I usually get the chicken souvlaki but the chicken has been a little dry lately (recommend adding more marinade) so I decided to try the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. It was delicious and definitely filled a craving! This may be my new go-to meal. The food was hot and the delivery driver is so sweet every time I see her. I also got the carrot cake but haven’t eaten it yet, I’m super excited to try it though!
We had the spinach Alfredo pizza it was amazing 👏 🤌
Sam's has been a go-to for my family for years and we have always enjoyed their pizza and subs. We recently placed an order and had a billing snafu in the process. Once I noticed the issue, I called and spoke with their owner Ramsey who was beyond helpful in correcting the issue. Not only did he handle the billing issue, he also took the time and effort to personally deliver an order of pizza to show his gratitude in working with him through the situation. This type of experience speaks volumes of his leadership and how Sam's does business. I was already a huge fan of Sam's, but will forever be a loyal customer based on this experience. Beyond impressed in every way, thank you!
My family loves Sam’s Pizza! The owner is awesome and always looks out for his customers. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the pizza is simply the best. I can’t recommend this place enough! Whether you're looking for a casual family dinner or a quick bite, Sam’s Pizza is the perfect spot.
Pizza is always great. Italian sub is always fresh.
The staff is always nice, happy, and eager to take care of your order and the food is fantastic!! Love their pizza!!! Salads are also great! I have never been disappointed eating here!
I ordered for 4 people for delivery over the phone. Great customer service over the phone and my order was 10 mins sooner than the least delivery time they mentioned. My delivery was delivered by Mr. Chris and he was so amazing! This was around prime dinner time 6:10 and food was here by 6:50. We did not order pizza mostly subs and a burger and fries with a 2 liter soda. Subs were huge very meaty. My son loved his medium cooked burger and fries. When delivery came they had forgotten the soda but the delivery driver Chris went to pick it up and drove all the way back with it. Super unexpected for any delivery driver and he paid for the soda when he returned. Super sweet and amazing customer service by far! For a to go order and their delivery very impressed. The only reason I have 4 stars out of 5 on the food part was due to the bacon. Bacon is a different preference for everyone but my oldest son and daughter didn’t care for it much. Maybe too crunchy but overall food was great and they paid very close attention to all my picky kids details.
Best pizza around @ the locust grove location. Great deal in bogo pizza
With their buy one-get one free. The value and quality of their pizzas can not be beat anywhere. Staff was very friendly. Service was speedy and accurate.
We love this place! Our order is always right. Food is ready fast and it tastes great! And if you order delivery, it states right on the checkout page before your order is complete that it's going to take about an hour. Too bad people don't read that before wanting their money back and leaving a bad review for it taking an hour!
I’ve been a patron of Sam’s for many years their customer service has always been absolutely perfect. They cook my pizzas just right. It’s the only place I get pizza. The drivers always get a $10 tip from me and every time I order the Customer Service is perfect. Cheers to Sam’s. Thank you.
Pizza is good. I like the texture of the dough. Cooked perfectly. Nice sauce to cheese ratio. My kids actually complimented on the cheese flavor and texture. Pizza arrived hot and super fast from order time. I ordered at 6:03pm and it was here at 6:27pm. And it’s a Monday to give perspective since there seemed to be a few complaints on delivery time. Delivery guy was very nice and personable too. I will definitely be ordering again. The buy 1 get 1 free is nice too!
To go wrap, alot of food, tasty
Always loved Sam's in every location I've been. A little pricey, even with the buy one, get one. Still great food. The only drawback to this location is the owner will not allow you to substitute one meat for another on your subs/sandwiches forcing you to pay for the extra meat that you aren't getting. So far, this is the only Sam's location that doesn't allow that. For that reason alone, I suggest a different location if you're just getting subs/sandwiches
I came in asking if they made N.Y. style pizza. They said they make pan pizza but would try to make it for me. They did and the pizza was terrific. The pizza is a buy one get one so that's even better. Price was reasonable. I would give them 5 stars but the pizza is the only thing I've eaten from there.
Love their pizza and love the value. Service is always super slow though. Not a real nice looking place inside it's just very simple but not dirty so it's OK for a our occasional visit for lunch or dinner when I don't feel like cooking.
Gosh, how can I even place an order if the phone disconnects and there is no way of placing an online order. Food is great, phone service is awful!! Adding to my review.. When placing any order with these guys they will charge you random pricing everytime on their Pizza's. I've downloaded the app and their prices are not what I am being charged. If a business isn't going to be uniform, these things should be applied at each location differently and not have a menu that Stafford follows and then a location like Locust Grove to charge people different pricing. On their mobile app the menu on the Locust Grove location shows the same pricing as the Stafford and the rest of Sam's. I believe their layout of business is wicked and not fair; because walking in you'll be charged for what the menu has. Delivery you are being charged $3 delivery fee plus random pricing.
It's okay when I need a sub fix. Not a place to stay and eat though.
Fresh food I ordered a grilled chicken salad very tasty 😋
So tonight we ordered pizza B1G1 with a 45-60 min delivery time. IT SHOWED UP IN 30 mins!!!! That’s the first time ever in a long time. Cheese was still ooey gooey and pizza was hot! New delivery driver is on it, customer satisfaction is important to him. Good job! Old post with 3 star - Pizza and Gyros is all we have ordered, never arrives within timeframe given
I love getting a great deal on pizza, and Sam's Pizza's buy one get one free deal is amazing. Just make sure you don't order too many extra items, or you'll end up paying as much as you would if you just bought two regular pizzas. I’ve always loved Sam’s pizza. We generally get pepperoni and veggie pizzas. However, the last time we got veggie pizzas, they were bad. The cheese had a weird, greasy, deep-fried taste. It tasted like it had been cooked in old frying grease. I really hope this was an isolated incident, and the next time we order veggie pizza, it’s good again. I ordered the fried mushrooms from Sam's Pizza, but unfortunately they were burnt. The burned spots were hard to miss, and they tasted as bad as they looked. There was no way I could eat them. I ended up having to order pizza from Little Caesars instead, which was a huge disappointment. I’m not sure we will order from Sam’s pizza again, which is a shame because we usually love their food. Our last order was not good at all, and it makes me wonder what happened. Maybe they were having an off night, but it was enough to make us question if we want to risk it again.
Had lunch here recently and the food was pretty good. However, the experience was diminished when the manager loudly called out the performance of the employees. Call them to the back room and coach them in a positive way. This place has negative drama tattooed on its forehead.
"Ignorance is bliss" is the saying that comes to mind regarding Sam's Pizza. If you can order over the phone, go inside to pick up your order, and leave without getting a good look around, you'll feel less unsure about things. After ordering inside and waiting there for my food, I found it hard not to notice the general grimy feeling of the building and the questionably-aged young female staff that the older man was working with. The latter is definitely a frivolous assumption on my part, but that kind of imagery is hard not to think about. Pizzas are cardboard with a thin layer of bland sauce. Stick with the subs, they seem to be the only thing worth getting here. I recommend the Super Italian.
Was just playing some Minecraft at home and figured hey why not order some food for myself since I didn't feel like driving. Ended up calling the place, put on hold, then hung up on several minutes later. This happened twice. Needless to say I probably will not order from here anymore on the phone. Decent food since I have been here before, the subs and fries are pretty good, but service has been lackluster in my experience. A shame because I didn't really want Domino's.
I waited just at 30 minutes for a cold sub.... The entire time I was there, I was hearing about how people couldn't read tickets, no one does anything, everybody's doing things wrong, and how unbelievable it is that somebody (a guest) had the nerve to give one of the employees an attitude and how she set him straight. I'm not saying the person was wrong to be saying all those things, but as a customer, I don't want to hear it. They did make my food exactly how I asked for it though, and it tasted good, but I don't think it was worth $14-$15 along with a 30 minute wait, for a cold sub that should have only taken 10 minutes tops. The food was good, but not worth the price, wait, or atmosphere. I, for one, will not be back to visit anytime soon
The place has some good food, and the pizzas are good along with the pizza sub. Burger was trash, waited 30 minutes without no notice of it being done at all and me having to check it myself, and then was surprised with the driest burger I've had. Not only that, but everything I specifically told in the order seemed to not matter. I was better off having the same service from the burger king across the street for less money.
Not going to lie our initial experience with this place was rough. However, we gave it another chance and have had no issues since. You can't beat there buy one pizza get one free deal as far a price goes. The guys and girls at the counter are always courteous and the pizza is always good. Updated review: While the pizza deal is great with buy one get one free. We have been having more and more issues with this location recently. We always ordered well done, and they never do it. The pizzas always seem rushed and just barely cooked through, the slices are sloppily cut, and the toppings aren't evenly spread.
Extremely ungrateful response to the delivery driver who brought us our meal. We gave a cash tip for his drive out here and he counted it infront of our face a pretty much pushed the food into our arms and aggressively stormed away. News flash dude you're not the only one working a minimum wage job.
Chicken gyro was dry and tasteless. The gyros can be good but this time it wasn't. Maybe don't go the last half hour they're open and definitely don't ask for extra anything. They seem to not like that.
It’s a shame that we have been ordering from here for years and typically we pick up our orders. Tonight I had them deliver. Was told 40 minutes after an hour I called and was told my pizza was on the way. Once it got here one of my two pizzas were wrong when I called back about it and the manager got on the phone he told me they would remake it but again it would be another hour before I would get it I offered to pick it up but he refused to give me any type of money back even though I was now having to come out and pick it up. He told me he can’t refund me any money. Even though I was now using my gas to come pick it up. After speaking with him twice once about the delivery time and then about my pizza being wrong and him being unapologetic I will no longer be ordering here. What a shame that his customer service is so poor since the young lady who answered the phone both times was so kind!
Moved from Lake Arrowhead (Stafford) to LOW. Sam's at Lake Arrowhead is awesome. Disappointed to say that Sam's at LOW is NOT. We gave them a couple tries for delivery: 1) the menu online is not what they offer at the Locust Grove location, nor are the prices accurate. They will tell you this when you call. Be prepared to spend more than you expected, and change your entire order. 2) Phone manners have been consistently rude. When trying to figure out what this location actually sells, it was like pulling teeth to get the girl to answer questions and she kept putting me on hold. 3) First delivery was pizza with a long, curly blond hair cooked into it. When I called to report the hairy pizza and ask for a replacement, they put "the owner" on the phone and he replied, "how do I know this hair isn't yours?". Wow. I described the hair. He said nothing, then finally replied, "okay, we'll send you another one". I guess someone there has long, curly blonde hair. 4) Second delivery, we were renovating a house and couldn't wait for our lunch of two big salads and pasta...when it arrived, no plasticware or napkins, driver also forgot our drinks. We had to sit in the empty house for 1/2 hour, smelling the food, waiting for the driver to return with forks and drinks. The pasta was finally eaten cold, with warm drinks. The driver was really casual, rude and unapologetic. Just hugely frustrated and disappointed that this is the "new" restaurant at LOW. :(
Almost always have to wait on hold but now they have the worst hold "music" I've ever heard to the point that I hung up after 5 min on hold and took my business elsewhere tonight. The hold music sounded like a children's toy that wouldn't turn off. When we have been able to order from here, we get delivery. They are consistent with an hour or so for delivery and the food is typically cold. From the other reviews I see, it appears the customer service on the phone is universally terrible which I can confirm. 2 stars because they deliver and their pizza and subs are ok.
Not the best Sam's location. Stingy and awful. Order from Two Brothers instead.
This place really used to be a wonderful and attentive restaurant. I ordered here yesterday for some pizza and mozzarella sticks to be delivered. The delivery was late. It took one hour and forty five minutes to deliver two pizzas and some mozzarella sticks. The pizza was a little chewy and bland, but whatever. The mozzarella sticks were empty and cold. I really was expecting better seeing as it was $40 and from a specialty chain. Apparently this store often has issue completing an order, according to others the food never makes it to them. I think you're going to have better luck ordering from the Dominos right there.
I used to love this place and I actually do love their food. However their customer service is horrible. They have forgotten my orders came back to bring it. One time it took them 2 hours or more to deliver across the street… I always tip great not matter what. They should offer a discount next time or throw in free fries or pizza to make up.. at least an apology… that would be nice! Aside from that their food is tasty.
I only order the Greek food from here cause it's the only thing they can make with some actual flavor. Owner is rude as hell and will blame you for when they screw your meal up. Pizza is mid at best, but at least it's better than the Stafford location. That place just needs to be shut down.
Pizza undercooked and this is not first time. Too many young folks running around behind counter and very unprofessional.
Cardboard with sauce and cheese. BOGO deal and delivery 20 min away saves it 1 star.
The staff and arrangement inside is deceiving. It’s set up like a sit down, eat in place yet half the restaurant is being used for storage. The food wasn’t bad but definitely frozen and microwave or fried. We also weren’t sure if there was someone to take our order or not. One we sat ourselves, I just ordered our food but another party waited for 25min to finally have someone come take their order. Definitely in need of some dedicated management and improvements inside and with the staff.
Not happy about this. You can see the cheese line all the way in the middle and the sausage as well. Why am I staring at bald pieces of pizza with no cheese or sausage on them?
Sams pizza of Locust Grove A few weeks ago... So we ordered two chicken pizzas and a baked ziti disc last night. The bake ziti was for my wife and pizza was for me and leftovers for the kids tomorrow. Baked ziti was alright. I ate two slices last night was good. But today when my kids finally got to the second box of Pizza my daughter bit into a slice and hurt herself bitting into a piece of plastic that was cooking into the bottom of pizza crust. I called Sam’s pizza and talked to the nice lady who answer the phone and explain it to her. She then spoke to the manager/owner and he got on the phone with me and I explained it to him again. But he said he could not do anything about it if it was yesterday. I told him we did not get to the second box till today, I barely ate any from the first box yesterday. So he said he does not normally do anything but if I want I can bring in the pizza and the plastic piece and he he see that it was from them he will remake it. I said you want me to come today? I was trying to let you know about it In case your hear from someone else about a similar situation and anyways I can not make it today. Maybe tomorrow night but not today. He said I’m sorry I can not do anything. I said you should check in the kitchen make sure nothing is broken. They try to act like they could not find my sale and what not. So I said whatever that’s just bad customer service. He said he does not keep receipts and I said you do not keep receipts from your sales. That’s crazy. But whatever you lose our business and good luck to you.
This place is the absolute worst ! The worst customer service I ever experienced! Not only does it take forever for food, they act like they can’t even hear when you make a simple order. Got my food delivered only to check and find out it was missing a few items. Than, the driver decided to take the food back to get what he left originally. So the food was going to be cold and waiting! Than when I try to call and get the matter situated, they act as if they can’t hear and put me on hold about a dozen times! Forget it, I literally told them to keep their food! This happens all the time... I really wanted to give them a chance but f-it at this point... can’t fix stupid😊
We decided to eat her one night and the experience has turned us off of this place completely. The staff was not very friendly. Once my order was in it ended up being totally expensive for the amount of food we got. Then once we got the food( an hour later) it was cold (we aren't that far away). My husband then preceded to find two hairs in our food and we were done. If the food was hot it would have been okay. Lesson learned.
After ordering and them confirming my information, we waited the 45 min to get a call stating someone got the wrong address. Once we where able to actually get trough and speak to someone they advised they will send it back out once a driver is avail. How bout NO.! It's been an hour at this point, and no clue when or how long it would be for someone to get back to pick up our cold food. Will never order here again. They could have apologized and remade the food, wasn't even offered.
Ordered 4 pizzas on Labor Day pizza was burnt. I called and explained to the employee answering the phone and she was incredibly nice. She advised she would speak with the owner and to call back around 8 when he would be there. I then called them at 8 and the owner wasn’t there and wasn’t agreeing to any refund. I was advised the owner would call me. Needless to say I did not receive any kind of call. I then called the following day and was given the owners number. When I got ahold of the owner I explained 3 out of 4 pizzas were burnt. I did not want a refund on the pizza that was not burnt just the 3 that were. He said I’ll just refund everything and wanted my credit card over the phone ( I’m not giving my card number to someone on their personal cell phone) I politely said I was not comfortable giving that information over the phone. Owner then got rude, “ I own 2 businesses I’m not going to steal your money” I’ll refund it when I get to the store and pull the information okay have a good day bye”! Well nearly 2 weeks later I see no refund. I will strictly never give this business another dime of my money just for the fact of how rude and unprofessional the owner was. I used to be a frequent customer but I will no longer be one. I pitty his employees now that I’ve seen his character. I’m sure he is a awful boss to have hopefully his employees move on to bigger and better things.
This has happened twice where we have decided to go to Sam's and order food for pick up because delivery takes about an hour. We ordered two pizzas. They handed us the pizzas and we left. We get home and one pizza is completely wrong. We asked if a driver could deliver the correct pizza to us and they said no. They only offered a credit for the future or for us to drive back and they would give us the correct pizza. Yes, maybe we should have checked the pizza before leaving but it's not our mistake that was made and they dont do much to correct it. On top of it, the incorrect pizza had onions on it which the person who was going to eat that pizza is allergic to onions so glad we caught their mistake.
Staff not nice one older man not nice at all Subs ok but Locust grove location is not good not sure why they are so rude
Paid for delivery. Was told it would be 45 min to an hour. Told the girl who answers the phone to go downstairs to the basement apt and NOT the front door. An hour and 15 min later they knock on our landlords front door. Would give them 1 star, but I still think their pizza is good. Changed to one star because the pizza was cold by the time it got here
I ordered a 12" steak n cheese with mushrooms and onions, 2 orders of cheese sticks n marinara sauce, and deep fried mushrooms with ranch dressing! What I got was 12" steak n cheese(no mushrooms and onions) Cheese sticks with no sauce, deep fried mushrooms with no ranch dressing! Sorry Sam but for yrs the service was good but now it totally sucks!
My one star is for their pizza and the phone. I have noticed I am not the only person who has an issue with communication over the phone with them. At first I thought it was me. It is not they have a problem with their phone at Sam's. The pizza is mediocre at best. They need to make a change to their sauce in my opinion.
I must say how greatly disappointed I am in this place. I was excited at first, to see a place that has different food items in Locust Grove. However, I could never imagine anyone messing up a simple cheese pizza, alfredo, and garlic bread. Even the garlic bread was plain and bland. The pasta was watery and tasted microwaved. No flavor in any of the food I got today. Pizza and pasta from Walmart tasted about the same. Going to have to give it a 1 star.
Got a wrap and was not good at all. Lettuce was giant white hard chunks, chicken was soggy and over oiled, and the tortilla was gross. The next day I also got sick wondering if from wrap. Would not recommend for wraps unfortunately. Haven't tried pizza or subs and don't plan to.
Ordered many different times since they opened in Locust Grove. The service was never super good, but we have limited options out in this area. The food wasn't terrible when they first opened, but some how over the months it's gone down hill. I ordered a pizza one night and this is why I stopped going to this restaurant. When I called in a was put on hold for a couple minutes (no worries, they're busy, don't mind waiting) finally a young girl answers the phone who wasn't terribly friendly (no worries, busy night, we've all had them) order my food, pay with a credit card. Credit card declined, numbers entered wrong (no worries, maybe bad connection) 45min to an hour later and my pizza's show up. Unfortunately the driver didn't remember my 2 liter (no worries, he said he would run back to grab it) bring the pizza into the kitchen and open the first box. The pizza looked smaller then normal. I opened the second box, samething. For about five minutes I thought that maybe they changed the size of the pizzas (you get 1 for free, so it was still a good deal) I called sam's again and spoke to the same girl. I asked if they had changed their size of pizza, she explained that no, nothing had changed and asked me to check the bottom of pizza box. I did and it said 14" ok, cool. My bad, just wanted to confirm. At this time is when the second delivery driver brought my 2 liter. I explained to the driver to confirm I wasn't crazy and handed her the pizza. Immediately she shook the box and said yes, this is a medium, without even looking. I asked her to take the pizza back to show the girl who took the order. The delivery driver was cool, said she will bring back 2 more pizzas. I declined but thanked her. I didn't want anything for free, I just wanted what I paid for. The service when you call in has quickly gone down hill as well as the quality. In this case my pizza wasnt cut in some places. Let's be honest, we have limited options in this area. I gave up on Sam's and will gladly drive to the 4 other places in the area who don't deliver.
The bad thing is when they decide to deliver to us the food is good. The owner say multiple times they would deliver to me. One worker when she answers the phone says they won't deliver to me. Also she puts me on a 10 minute hold before I can say hello. Horrible customer service. Never will get food from them again.
I ordered two fish subs, fries and a gyro. To he fries were wilted and cold looked and tasted 2 days old. None of the food was hot. This is the second issue I've had with their food. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs they forgot the meatballs and the sauce was sour.
The pizza is a 3. The subs are a 7 The french fries are a 5 The phone they use is a negative 100 and needs to be replaced. Everyone else is blamed for the connection when it is strictly on them. UPDATE: I was going to order online where upon reaching the payment screen, it advises to tip the delivery driver now, it cant be added later. Why would I tip the driver before I receive the food? I never tip beforehand, because I have yet to receive the food. Lets say there are issues that arise? This could affect the tip size up or down depending on the cirumstances.
I placed an order for a simple cheese pizza at 3:50pm on their online ordering app. My estimated delivery time was 4:25. After 4:30 came I tried to call and see how long it was going to be. Everytime I called, I would get an automated message saying the caller wasn't receiving calls right now. When 5:30 came, I decided to make something for dinner since Sam's never showed up. At 6:30, Sam's finally showed up with the order. I told the driver I order it at 3:50 and all he had to say was to call the store. I then called the store in speaker phone and told him this was the message I was getting for the last two hours. I would recommend ordering from anywhere else but here.
Called and ordered 2 pies and wings and was told 45 minutes to an hour. About an hour and ten minutes in I call and inquire as to why I've not received my food? I was told it was out on delivery and should expect it any moment. After an hour and a half I called back, I asked where are my pies? I told the young lady I wasnt very happy so she got the Manager. He was very unapologetic and did not want to offer any solution other than it's "on the way".... Then he hung up on me. About 5 minutes later the delivery driver shows up, tells me my order only came up 15 minutes ago.... Lost for words I accepted the pies and went on about my business only to let you all know the PIZZA is not that good, and to call Dominoes in the future. I hope this saves you the hassle and headache as well as the bad food.
I ordered 2 mild wings, each with extra ranch cups, along with other apps and 2 pizzas, totaling up to $80. When the food came, none of my extra cups were there and the wings had no sauce on either of them. I called and the lady told me she would have someone right out. BUT then the guy called back and said he would be a while getting back there because he had so many orders to deliver first. I would have to let the chicken wings get cold and not eat them because he was only bringing me the sauce to put over them. We were visiting family and we're from our of town, and the household was pretty hungry. So I asked if he could just bring fresh wings and he said no. So I told them to forget it, even though I didn't get what I was paid for because they obviously do not care about the business and their customers. The wings alone were $30! Definitely don't buy from them unless you do takeout and can check your food before you leave!
We have gotten food here in the past and it’s been really good. We placed an order for carry out on Saturday we ordered two pizzas and three cheeseburger subs with fried onions, none of the subs had fried onions on them and instead of mayo they had thousand island dressing on them. I didn’t eat the pizza but was told it was up to its normal taste. What a disappointment I believe you need to remember there is another Italian restaurant to order from in Locust Grove and I think we will give them a try the next time we want to order out.
My first experience here has so far been horrible. No silverware. Didn't tell me it was self serve drinks. The woman who only works Friday's was rude. Brought me a salad with a rotten tomato. I asked for a fresh salad. She took the one tomato out and threw two ones on the same salad. The one waitress who works everyday. Gave us our silverware, drinks, & a fresh salad. Thank you. The food is delicious. But the service makes it questionable to come again.
I ordered online, it took over an hour to arrive (we live 5 minutes away). Got our food, I had the meatball parm sub. Bread was good, however, the meatballs tasted freezer burnt, and old. (Imagine what dirty mop water may taste like) my wife had the shrimp alfredo which thankfully didn't taste like garbage, it however had no flavor at all. Please don't waste your money....
We used to order here all the time but the last 3-4 orders have been delivered 1.5-2 hours after the order is placed and we are right across the street. Tonight we ordered two pizzas they were delivered at 7:15 when the order was placed at 5:30. The pizzas were cold not even lukewarm but cold. Never again would order dominos before these people.
Every single time we order from this place it takes almost two hours to get food and it's most of the time cold or bad quality. Do not waste your money, will never order again.
So this is the second time that I have had issues with this location. Both times they were not busy and had no excuse to have the orders incorrect. The first time the bacon cheese fries were not even cooked they were cold. The second time the girl rushed me through the order and did not listen to what I wanted and totally got the orders wrong. I asked for plain steak and cheeses and got ones with everything. When I called to get the orders corrected I got attitude. I got further attitude when I arrived back at the store. They seem to have a revolving door of employees who are either incompetent or just don’t care. I did not even get an “I’m sorry”
If you respect your time and want a quality meal its better to drive the extra 1.8 miles to 2 Brothers and have a nice meal
Highly disappointed. As a repeat customer, I expect things to happen from time to time. Today takes the cake. I should have known it was going to be an issue when I called to place a to go order and they left me on hold for over 5 minutes. When I decided to go to the store and order, I should have left immediately upon noticing that I didn’t recognize the people inside. Either way, I paid $40 for TWO CALZONES THAT ARE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I PAID FOR! $40.00!! Not to mention that it is ok the guy about 5 minutes to locate my order when I went back inside to pick it up. This is unacceptable and I am highly upset. There have been too many costly mistakes to keep overlooking them just because the crust on the pizza is good. Save yourself the trouble and go to Two Brothers, instead. Their crust is just as good, plus they charge you according to what you receive.
Every order I have ordered from there has been wrong, and have not be compensated for it, always gotten a disrespectful manger or owner that argued when the customer is right.
The pizza here is very delicious however, The amount of pepperoni was very skimpy. And the bread sticks where just pieces of dough baked, no flavor at all. After spending 77 dollars I don’t recommend those items. I was a very unhappy customer considering buying this for a party.
Management/owner whoever he is, is very rude! Clearly does not care about the customer. Skimpy on their side sauces. How do they expect someone to eat a huge thing of cheese fries with one tiny side of ranch? People at my job have also found a live roach crawling around the pizza box of the pizza that was ordered! Disgusting! Do not use frequent this establishment. Save yourself the potential food poisoning and order from Mama's on 20!!!!
Delivery time is ridiculous 50% of the time. The owner is nice sometimes, but most of the time is in a terrible mood and takes it out on customers. If they get your order wrong..he will blame you and argue with you. Their pizza is good though, the dough always has a nice flavor. I always have to heat it up in the over before serving…probably because delivery time is so high. I wish there was another good pizza place in this area, because they don’t deserve our business based on the owners behavior alone. We stopped ordering from here for the most part, and our other family in the neighborhood has as well.
Waiting 2 hours for pizza to be delivered is insane. Order pizza at 6:04pm. Called around 7:00pm to check up on the order as I don't live that far away from the place. Pizza arrived at 804pm. The delivery driver sped up the hill, and it honestly looked like he was going to crash into our vehicles with how fast he was going up our driveway. It is cold and gross. The fried mushrooms taste like they have been sitting out, same with the pizza. It is almost like they wait for multiple orders from the same place before they start delivering food. There is absolutely no reason to get cold food. I have ordered in person, and it only took 20 minutes to get my order.
Estimated 1 hour and took 1.5 hours. And the pizza isn’t very good, was completely cold. My husband was also the one who was grabbing the pizza from the delivery driver and I was running to get cash out of my wallet for the tip. The delivery driver says as he’s handing the pizza to my husband “are you going to tip”. I’ve worked in restaurants my entire life and have NEVER said that and know better then to say that. SO RUDE, decided not to tip at the sound of that. Won’t be ordering from them again
I've been eating here for a long time. Tonight they got the order all wrong and even didn't cut a pizza. Called to let them know the mistakes and asked what I should do. First talk to two employees that were very nice and escalated it to the owner who was supposed to help. Maybe to him calling customers a liar and telling them it's tough luck is helping. Terrible customer service from the owner. Will not be spending $ here ever again. It's really not that big of a disappointment, seriously every other pizza place in the area is better anyway.
We ordered 2 large Pizza one meat lovers and one Alfredo pizza. We ordered at 4:57 pm on a Friday night. At 6:30 Pm we called to see where the pizzas were or when they would be delivered but for some reason no one answered the phone. We called for 15 minutes then I drove to the place to see if I had to pick it up there. The place was empty no one standing in line at the counter. They seemed to be busy stacking food up for carry out or delivery. It was now more than 2 hours since we ordered. The manager told .e it will be at my house in 5 minutes. So I left hoping I wouldn't need to return later. The Pizza arrived cold and while we received the meat lovers Pizza the Alfredo pizza didn't have any Alfredo sauce but light red sauce. If I ever go back there again I will not ask for delivery again 😒
My husband told me that the delivery guy came back out of his car and approached him telling him he can’t come out to our house for the tip we gave him and then proceeded to call another Sam’s pizza place and asked if they delivered to us in front of him. Then tells my husband to get pizza from them and not them anymore! This was our go to place for pizza for a while and we have spent a lot of money and tips at this place. My husband isn’t the kind to get into drama so he didn’t say anything. That was out of line and unprofessional down right disgusting behavior.
Lesson learned, 1 large pepperoni 1 large house special pizza 1 spaghetti and meatballs $62 All cold Never Again
You call in to order and the conversation is difficult due to background noise and I had to repeat everything several times. The order got delivered in its normal hour but our subs were cold and fried mushrooms looked like scrapes. The one sub had more things on it then we asked for and husband was not happy but hungry.
Ordered there Vegetarian pizza and they delivered it with bacon. When we called to get it corrected they blamed us for adding bacon when we didn't. They refused to pull up their website to verify the issue and insisted on us going to them to pick up the corrected order when we ordered delivery. They used to be good but must have new management. We will never order from here again. I recommend that you spend your money at a place that cares about their customers. Sams clearly does not.
Owner or Manager not sure which one he was is so incredibly rude. I ordered a pizza and when I went to pick it up they said they didn’t have it. I had confirmation that it was placed at the correct location and the money taken out of my account. The manager said there was nothing he could do and that I could place another order. I told him I’m not paying for another order when I already paid. He could care less because he told me I didn’t need to order from them then and refused a refund. So I left with no pizza and them keeping my money. After reading the other reviews you can tell the owner/manager has an attitude with all customers that have a problem with their order. And by the sounds of it refuses to refund anyone or correct his mistakes. The pizza is crap anyways but it’s cheap and the only option without having to drive 30 mins. I will never order from them again and instead I’ll definitely be driving outside of town for pizza. Betting this place doesn’t last long if the owner doesn’t get his attitude towards customers corrected. If you order from them you better hope they get everything correct because they won’t do crap if it’s wrong except get angry like it’s your fault. I will say the girl at the counter who helped me first and the gentleman beside her were so nice. The manager/owner on the other hand needs to find a new job that doesn’t involve people.
After spending 16 mins on the phone with management, I will not be ordering from them again. We ordered pizzas, and they were delivered at almost 1 hour from ordering. When we got the pizzas, they were cold. I called to let them know and was offered a refund by the employee, but management tried to deny the employee request to give me a refund. Management said employee misspoke. After long debating and arguments, he finally caved and refunded us the amount.. pizzas are not worth the price or experience.. don't waste money or time. Calamari smelled rancid as well.
Normally my experience with Sam's is good, but I think tonight soured me on wanting to order again. I get delivery is going to provide a different experience, but we've gotten delivery from them before and did not experience what we did this evening. We knew it would take a while because of course many people are ordering pizza, etc. However, when the pizza arrived, it was barely even lukewarm. It clearly had been sitting out for a while, almost as if I had pulled it out of the fridge and left it on the counter before warming it up. We then called them to see if they would make it right, and the employee who answered the phone promised us 1 thing (a refund), and then said she would get the manager to approve it, and then the manager would not, saying that they were not responsible for delivering us cold pizza. We were on the phone for 16 minutes trying to get the manager to do something to make it right, other than offer a minimal discount when we order again. After everything, why would we order again? Next time, we'll definitely be ordering from elsewhere, given the lack of quality AND poor customer service.
I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and chicken wings and steak and cheese. the chicken wrap had brown wilted lettuce and the steak had old overcooked steak and the wings were burnt. This is the third time in a row that I order from them where I’ve had to ask for a refund. Please take your money to somewhere else
Delivered cold pizza to my family for the 3rd time. Asked the driver to take them back and to replace them. He argued with me that I shouldn't as for a delivery and if I wanted hot food to pick it up myself.(Happy Birthday, cold food). After complaining to the owner, 2 hot pizzas were finally delivered. No apology, no further excuses.
