I HAVE TRIED THE BEST RISOTTOS I'VE EVER EATEN! • Our culinary journey through Lombardy's osterias and trattorias continues! This time, we're in Lodi at Trattoria Torretta, where we ate some delicious risottos! Founded in 1997, this trattoria features rustic and simple decor, including classic red-checkered tablecloths. But enough chit-chat, let's get started with two traditional appetizers: 🥓 Truffled Mortadella and Culatello 🏠 Rustic House Antipasto with Coppa, local cacciatorino, Lodigiano lard, sweet and sour red onions, Lodigiana-style nerve meats, and Raspadura 🥠 The two appetizers were accompanied by Gnocco Fritto. • An excellent selection of high-quality cured meats accompanied by nerve meats, sweet and sour onions, and gnocco fritto! Truly an excellent appetizer that draws heavily from Emilian tradition and cannot even begin to compare to Milanese dishes. Delicious! • But let's move on to the main courses, the real reason we came to eat at Trattoria Torretta: the risottos! 🟣 Risotto with Blueberries and Porcini Mushrooms 🍐 Risotto with Pannerone and Pears • Let's finish with the house desserts: 🍫 Chocolate Cake 🍎 Apple Cake 🍥 Strachin Gelad I was amazed by the deliciousness of the risotto with blueberries and porcini mushrooms! So good that I can still taste it on my tongue! The risotto with pannerone and pears was also very good, but the pears were barely noticeable because they were small slices on the rice, which tasted strongly of pannerone cheese. I was expecting melted pears to melt into the rice. But anyway, it was very good. I can't wait to return to Lodi to try all the other risottos on the menu!

Calling it a trattoria would be a complete waste.... Every time I reach Lodi from my native Caserta, it's a must-stop. Congratulations...

Trattoria on the outskirts of Lodi, set in a courtyard. A bit quaint. Very pleasant and intimate atmosphere, typical of an osteria. The dishes are traditional Lodi dishes, with risottos taking center stage among the first courses. Finally, the tablecloths and napkins are cotton, not paper. Very good and carefully prepared cuisine, generous portions. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is quick.

I'd been wanting to eat at this trattoria that someone recommended to me for a while, and finally I had the chance. My expectations were completely exceeded. The place is truly charming and welcoming, reminiscent of the trattorias of yesteryear, the ones you'd find on a Sunday outing. The restaurant is located in the courtyard of a building in the heart of Torretta (the atmosphere of this neighborhood is also lovely). The food is truly delicious, and the menu certainly features the various risottos. But let's take it in order. We had a house antipasto with various cured meats, pork nerves and onions, and fried gnocco. The gnocco is one of the best I've ever eaten, thanks not only to the well-made dough but also to the expert frying, which made the soft, dry, and delicious gnocco. The onions were also very good. It's a shame I took a terrible photo of this dish. Then we had a gorgonzola and walnut risotto. My taste buds were in for a treat. Creamy and expertly blended, perfectly cooked. A generous portion, without being overly generous. If I really had to criticize it, it was that the walnuts were visible, but their crunchiness wasn't there, which, I imagine, in the chef's mind, would have contrasted with the creaminess of the rest. I have to be completely honest, though: I didn't miss them at all; quite the opposite. Finally, a little dessert (impossible to order main courses, too full): a delicious tiramisu and stracchin gelad. We drank the house wine (a green nectar of the saints) and a bottle of water. Finally, a coffee. And here comes the sweetest of final notes. All this for €49. All this with quick, attentive service (especially for my wife's needs, who is celiac; at least considering gluten-free breadsticks would be a really nice idea... also because, I almost forgot, the bread in the basket is really, really good too). We'll definitely be back, again and again.

Abbiamo mangiato un antipasto della casa con ottimi prodotti e un risotto pannerone e pere davvero di livello, ma l’orecchia di elefante per quanto gustosa e fritta nel burro era troppo secca. Tornerei per i risotti, ma non prenderei più il secondo.

We ate the daily menu, so let's focus on that. Aside from the coffee, which was truly subpar, everything else we ate was delicious, with praise for the chocolate tower. The service was more than good, and the place was truly charming and spacious, both inside and out under the pergola. A truly lovely surprise in this tiny place just outside Lodi. 3-seater menu 3 desserts 2 coffees 2 bottles of water. €53. Highly recommended, and if fate so wills, we'd definitely like to try the menu for dinner. Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Ambience: 5/5 Waiting time Up to 10 minutes

Very good and homely trattoria, the only negative note is that yes, we arrived at 1.20 pm, but everything was served a bit rushed, I highly recommend going there at 12.30 pm, no later.

Coming to Trattoria Torretta all year round is a wonderful experience, but it's even more enjoyable during the Lodi food festival. ☺️😊😽😉 Good food, great staff, friendly and attentive service, and reasonable wait times. It's worth the stop. I recommend booking, though, as seating isn't unlimited. 😊😉

Another day, another wonderful casual, rustic neighbourhood trattoria. Since I don't have an Italian nonna, I like and seek traditional home style food that makes the best of local favourites with seasonal menu. I have never been a fan of risotto, maybe because I had the impression that it is too mushy, but I was proven wrong with the Risotto with Zucchini Flowers, the meal not only splendid and substantial but memorable. We were still talking about how it good it was while walking to the car!😁 I am a new fan indeed. We did not plan on dessert initially but the friendly waitress had managed to sway us with a tempting Panna Cotta bathed in Strawberry sauce. This homely trattoria also provides a nice outdoor area to relish your meal. I am forever partial to places with the red gingham checkered tablecloth. A place best enjoy with a group of friends and family, order plates to share. Price: Happily affordable. Service: great

Arriviamo 13:30, aver chiamato prima. Seduto a tavolo, informato solo del menu fisso e nient’altro (abbiamo scoperto dopo che c’erano infatti altri opzioni). Un risotto alla parmigiana - semplice, niente di che, però poco. Sono un medico, posso dire che la porzione non aveva nutrizione sufficiente per un uomo (mentre un’altro fortunato vicino ha ricevuto il doppio? - sicuramente loro recensione sarà un po’ diversa, immagino). Secondo di patate e frittata, abbastanza buona. Eravamo in due, due calice di vino, €35 totale. Guardando le altre recensioni, aspettavo di più per i soldi da questa trattoria.

Really a poor choice. They have just one beer option. Poor food choice.

Sono stata a pranzo con la mia famiglia, abbiamo ordinato il "menù rassegna" a prezzo fisso (35€), vino escluso, per 6 adulti. Cibo normale, niente di eccezionale. Antipasto con salumi e gnocco fritto, nervetti, cipolle rosse e raspadura. Un risotto taleggio e radicchio, un altro risotto zucca e porcini, un piatto di polenta e brasato, semifreddo e caffè. Servizio sbrigativo, nè una parola né un mezzo sorriso. Ambiente piccolo e rumoroso. Al momento del conto c'è stata la pessima sorpresa: 15 euro in aggiunta per il menù bambino, che non avevo ordinato e che non mi è stato nemmeno servito (mia figlia piccola ha mangiato con me, avevo solo chiesto dei piatti vuoti per lei). È stato gentilmente chiesto un chiarimento al proprietario ed è stato detto che i 15 euro erano per il coperto della bambina. Senza parole, da vergognarsi! Sono stata in questa trattoria per la prima volta, non ritornerò più e lo sconsiglierò vivamente a tutti.

I've never been to a restaurant that doesn't have garlic in the kitchen - services was poor and lacked some much needed attention, food was below average and wouldn't reccomend it. your better off taking a 20 min drive for a panini at your local cafe In response to the owners comment - firstly I'm South African and have the pleasure of living in a country with a large cultural and cuisine diversity and I've traveled to many places around the world as well as Italy so it's fair to say that your menu is out dated and your food lacks flavour as well as skill The argument at my table was based on the low standards of our meal and progressed from there Secondly as a owner your focus should be to cater to your customers needs and concerns not thinking up witty comments to respond and justify as to why your service standards are so low Good day to you
