Lovely Italian restaurant and not at all expensive. Very pleasantly surprised as I booked it thinking it would be just another basic Italian (booked for the location) but the quality of the food exceeded expectations. Delicious juicy pizzas, perfectly cooked pasta, and even some nice antipasti on the menu. Family friendly and the staff were delightful. Not the best photo but hopefully a faithful representation! We will be back.

Me and my partner came here for lunch after doing some shopping and we fell in love with this restaurant the food was absolutely delicious and perfect, nothing I would change big big compliments to the kitchen team chef today Davide, as-well as the lovely floor staff who where welcoming, kind and really attentive to our needs, Anna especially was lovely. Thank you we will definitely be back !

Anna is the best maître d’ I’ve ever had in any restaurant. She is incredibly observant and genuinely lovely. She noticed what we needed before we even said a word and made everything feel effortless. Without any notice, she surprised me with a birthday plate and a glass of Prosecco, which made the afternoon so special. We absolutely love her and can’t thank her enough for such exceptional service.

A lovely setting with seating on the terrace overlooking the Thames and the Battersea Twin Towers in the rear. Food was delicious. Starters of bruschetta and calamari arrived promptly, both very tasty. I choose Swordfish for my main. Mariziou our waiter suggested cooking options and I went with his recommendation…it was delicious. Partner had fettuccine bolognaise with slow cooked beef and pork. He was very happy with his choice. Great service & tasty food.

Fantastic service from Anna and the host (didn’t get his name), lovely ambience, and amazing quality food that came out at the right pace. Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic New Year’s Eve dinner, steak tartare and brasato were both delicious. Service above and expectations- both Sicilian gentleman took such a good care of us!

Giuseppe at Fiume is fantastic! We just stopped in for coffee, but his welcoming and attentive service made our quick visit feel like a special occasion. Truly 5-star hospitality!

Went here for dinner for a romantic night out, and I can't say I'm disappointed. Reservations went through very smoothly, and upon arrival, we were greeted very kindly. For starters, we had a pinsa, which tasted amazing, and for mains, we both had pasta carbonara, which was seriously out of this world. The waiter we had was also very kind and gave us some great recommendations! And to top it all off: the location was fantastic. We highly recommend this place!

Upon our arrival, the place was somewhat chaotic, but the staff, especially German, made us feel comfortable and enhanced our overall experience. The food was exceptional, which contributed to a memorable visit. It's worth noting that my visit took place on a Sunday evening in London when the temperature was around 30 degrees.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The food was amazing and the service was great. I highly recommend you visit Fiume in Battersea. I had a wonderful meal.

Golden arancini burst with creamy bliss; seafood pasta brimmed with fresh prawns and clams in garlicky silk—service swift, warm, flawless

Fiume is an absolute gem at Battersea Power Station. From the moment you arrive, the welcoming atmosphere and professional service set the tone for a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic evening, a spontaneous lunch, or a dinner with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. The interior strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy warmth, with a beautiful terrace that offers a lovely view — ideal for sunny days. The staff are consistently attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, always ready with thoughtful recommendations without ever being intrusive. The menu features a variety of well-crafted Italian dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients. From perfectly crisp arancini to creamy carbonara, hearty gnocchi, tender sea bass, and authentic pinsa, each dish is rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The desserts are equally impressive — the tiramisu, panna cotta, and blood orange ice cream are must-tries. Whether you’re a local or just exploring the area, Fiume offers a dining experience that’s both refined and welcoming. Highly recommended — and definitely worth returning to.

Delicious Italian food in the heart of Battersea! We had the three courses for the £30 and all dishes were so tasty! We added the bread basket and arancini from the ala carte menu! My favourites were the arancini balls, fettuccine and tiramisu!

Went for lunch on the spur of the moment having visited Battersea Power Station for the first time. The service was professional and respectful and the set lunch menu food was excellent quality, fresh and good portion sizes. Will definitely be back the next time we visit the area.

Had a great date night and all thanks to the warm service and unforgettable dishes! Shot out to Daniele and Davide! Fantastic carpaccio, wine, and beef cheek! My boyfriend loved the arancini and seafood pasta

Really wonderful and different food. The whole place is stylish and the music is nice. The service is fast and friendly. The starter we had was really great, and the crab pasta was wonderful. The most delicious thing was the eggplant Parmesan, though. It was just amazing and melts and had just the right amount of different flavors and textures. Really great!

Lovely day out with family. Staff were great, food was delicious especially the Pizza which we shared as a starter, and carbonara for main. Great wine selection and it has a nice buzzy atmosphere. Would definitely go back!

Our team of 10 people recently dined at Foume and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for the evening. The décor struck the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, creating a space that felt relaxed. The service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to offer excellent recommendations. As for the food, I thought it was nothing short of fantastic. It was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked in the Carbonara I had. Overall, the combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. I would happily return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine.

Nice Italian food in a fun setting by Battersea power station in a large open plan dining room with plenty of space for large groups. Our waiter Aslan was very friendly and accommodating to our group with a couple of kids. Will definitely return if the occasion arises.

Oliwia provided us an excellent service and advice. We have dined in Fiume many times and loved the menu and atmosphere. Unfortunately the menu has been changed and it’s not the same experience. Please come back to previous menu. If not for Olivia advising us we would not stay for dinner. She really looked after us.

This Italian restaurant offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The décor is classic and cozy, with soft lighting and subtle Italian touches that create a relaxed dining experience. The food is the real highlight. The pasta dishes are clearly made with fresh ingredients—the tagliatelle was perfectly al dente and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. The pizza had a thin, crisp crust with well-balanced toppings, staying true to traditional Italian style. Portions are generous without being overwhelming. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff happy to explain menu items and offer recommendations. While the restaurant can get busy during peak hours, the wait is worth it. Prices are reasonable for the quality, making it a great choice for both casual dinners and special occasions. Overall, this restaurant delivers authentic Italian flavors, solid service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Albert was an excellent waiter—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. We had a slight problem with the food, but he went above and beyond to make it right and ensured we had a great experience. His service really stood out, and he is a great asset to the restaurant.

My friend and I visited this establishment on New Year’s Eve, and the experience was lovely. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was very enjoyable. The staff were professional and friendly, ensuring that our table was well attended to and that we were satisfied throughout the evening. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this place to others. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Attractive Italian restaurant near the river, friendly staff. We like it better then The Ivy. Warm, even on a Winter day, because they've added more heating. A bit expensive, lunch for three about £90. The food (see photo). Mains: in general OK but too salty; meatballs good; pasta OK; do not order the sea bass - tiny portion, two mouthfuls for £15, its taste hidden by sauce. Sides: all good, potato excellent - beautifully crispy.

Fabulous place! The atmosphere was great, service was brilliant and the cocktails were delicious 🤌🏼 We had fried courgette to start which was incredible and so moreish. Then we had the carbonara and bolognaise for mains. We were originally going to order a Pinsa but the oven was broken unfortunately which is why it gets a 4 but would definitely go back and try it some other time though! They also brought out a small dessert on the house as it was my friends birthday and it was a lovely touch ❤️

Had a great long lunch here last week! The atmosphere was lovely and Giuseppe our waiter was exceptional! My only criticism is the price. I understand you pay for location but £21 is the going rate for a large pizza at a restaurant. My mini pizza was tasty but to charge £21 for essentially half a pizza is a little steep in my eyes. Would still recommend :)

The experience was amazing, Andrea made us feel comfortable, welcomed us to the restaurant and even tweaked the menu for us. The food was delicious but didn’t stand out to me. The atmosphere was beautiful with an outdoor seating as well as a nice view of the City.

Our server - Vanya - made this visit special. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs, to the best of her ability. The drinks and food were great and the service was prompt and friendly. The worst part was the temperature, we were seated a little to close to the door and it was freezing cold. I kept my jackets and hat on throughout the visit. Vanya’s attempt to move our table or to bring us a heater were made in vain. I would not return to this venue in the winter.

My wife brought us here to celebrate my birthday yesterday. I already had the chance to dine here and I got contrasting feeling about it, but I was happy to give it a second chance as I really love the surroundings. Unfortunately, all my feelings were confirmed yesterday. There is a lot to like about Fiume: the location is lovely, the ingredients are good and fresh and there is definitely some standards here (the Parma ham seemed freshly cut, the bufala tasted fresh and milky, the fried zucchini was ok, my cacio and Pepe was tasty but groomy and dry but my wife seafood linguine was good and the babà with limoncello was also flavoury); the service is nice and friendly. The interiors are good looking and clean even though very much British and very little Italian. Also, having a glass of wine which doesn’t taste like coming from a bottle opened one month ago, in London, is something to truly appreciate. Overall, good vibes. The main problem of this place is not in the standards, but in his formula: the food is a very limited menu of basic Italian grandma cuisine level served at the price of a fine dining experience. This wouldn’t be bad per se, but for the price tag, there is nothing special in it, no ambition in the food offer, there is nothing in the menu which you could not experience if you get invited for dinner any Italian friend’s home with average cuisine knowledge and no culinary education whatsoever. We paid £75 each for a 3 course meal; the starter was a very small platter of 2 (counted) slices of Parma ham and a little mozzarella, a small pasta plate, a dessert, a spritz and a 125 ml glass of wine. Is that enough? “In London, yes”, I would hear from everyone. But is that enough to leave you happy and satisfied? Some little things elevate this place from many other restaurants in the surroundings. But anything good this place has built up in our evening crushed badly when they served a birthday platter with literally no cake on it. Despite I appreciated the gesture, I honestly couldn’t understand if this was a joke or not. I will allow the picture to speak for itself, and I hope everyone who sees it, including the owner, will be as embarrassed as I was. Fiume suits a specific target: it’s a place that knows to be located in a surrounding where value for money is not interrogated, in a city which seems under the spell of being ok with decreasing quality and reducing portions for rising prices. How can people keep being happy about it is still a mistery to me. In such a contest, you need to do very little above the others to stand, and people will be happy to overpay for it, and that’s exactly where Fiume sits. Did we have a good time? Yes. How was the food? Okay. Would I recommend it? No. This formula can get you contented only until you travel and experience way better at 1/10 of the price. For the surroundings, you can enjoy them with a lovely walk for free. You don’t get charged for walking and breathing yet. Otherwise, if this is not a problem, Fiume is the right place for you. Every restaurant has a signature dish that you will remember. Mine was a nice marble platter, empty.

Absolutely not worth the money. The main courses are a bit hit and miss. The capesante and nduia were well thought and presented, a great and unique flavour. The other starter, pere and chicory, was instead very boring and plain. The pecorino was tasteless, the chicory was just throw there in large slabs. A starter made with absolutely no dedication. The stone bass was ok, but nothing particularly mind-blowing. In essence, nothing was too bad, just mediocre overall (everything but the prices). I would not go back there. Me and my brother (both Italians) went there for a meal after visiting the power station. We took three starters, two mains. No wine/alcohol, no desert. Total : 140gbp which is ridiculous even for London standards (I live in Clapham) I'm sorry, for that price I expect a less mediocre kitchen. Either have great chefs and great prices, or mediocre chefs and mediocre prices. I'm not interested to pay for your expensive redevelopment. I'm there for the food not the real estate.

Let’s start with the positive. The waiters are lovely and the atmosphere is pretty good. The wine selection is quite nice too. However, the quality of the food just isn’t there at the price tag they’re asking. Paid £20 for gnocchi without any seasoning whatsoever. My food arrived before my wine did and I had to ask about it (which is a bit uncomfortable). Nice place but just too expensive for what it actually is.

There’s been a buzz encircling this Italian eaterie so thought we’d give it a try. Front of house were welcoming. Service was affable efficient and genuinely warm. No complaints there. Decor was clean bordering on Scando. Not a hint of trattoria anywhere to be seen. Saturday lunchtime so lots of families yet you could hear yourself think and talk. All very pleasant so far. Antipasti was very good. Aubergine croquettes were a new thing for us. Rich flavourful bordering on falafel without the crispy shell. Chicken meatballs in tomato sauce were also a hit. Bouncy well seasoned white minced meat in a tangy tomato sauce. Bread basket was a little odd. Very much Northern European slices of bread. Not a focaccia or homemade bread stick in sight. The only thing saving this imposter syndrome was a generous dipping dish of peppery extra virgin olive oil which was clearly very high quality. Downhill from this point however. The children’s Margherita looked and tasted like something you’d pick up from the frozen aisle in Sainsburys. Utter bemusement given a wood fired pizza oven standing proudly in the open kitchen. The prawn fettuccini was also decidedly average. Soft pasta. Any hint of the sea drowned out by a thick overly greasy tomato sauce. No real chilli kick. Unacceptable really for a Chef Mazzei restaurant to be putting out something this heavy handed bordering on amateur offering. Not somewhere I can recommend I’m afraid. Too many basic errors.

Pretends to be something its not. Very underwhelming food, beef tartare is tasteless and dry, like you are having raw mince meat and its served with the tiniest piece of toast they could find. We ordered extra bread, it took forever to arrive and was stale/hard… bread… how can you go wrong… Moving to the main, we both had fish my stone bass was alright my partners tuna with putanesca sauce was very salty. Did not like our white wine much either. Service was friendly but not always around when needed. Ambiance is nice overall but do consider it overpriced for what it you get.

It was a Thursday night but nevertheless not as busy as I expected. The waiters main focus was to the larger groups and me and my girlfriend were placed in the corner by the toilets. The set menu looked good on paper but wasn’t being offered around dinner time. Food was really nice and I would say it’s an alternative Italian food. The wine was pleasant but it wouldn’t be right for everyone. If in this area again, overall I think I would check over options.

Came here for a valentines date, service wasn’t amazing, I get it was a busy night for them but seeing people next to us sit down after us and them getting drinks served/food before us was a bit disappointing. I had the carbonara and ordered the grande (large), it came and was ok but I questioned if I had been served the small cause the portion was small! Despite this, the restaurant is lovely inside and had a nice atmosphere. Was just expecting everything else to be a bit better with the location it was in! Hope this helps people

M
Mark Harrington

Very average food for such a premium location and what looks like a fine dining restaurant. The carbonara was honestly the worst I've ever had, I've had better supermarket ready meals. Desserts and starters were ok but quite forgettable. Maybe we were a bit unlucky as the restaurant was completely packed with big groups of people and very loud and people always surrounding our table. Multiple items on the menu were unavailable too. Service was generally good and food was quick. Lovely interior but it's completely open plan with tables quite close together so you don't get any feeling of privacy. Overall a bang average Italian restaurant, but should be better being in the new high-end Battersea Power Station development.

Ate the pasta here today, do not recommend! The Bolognese was just meat swimming in oil, no proper tomato sauce. Such a shame for such a nice spot.

Decided to have lunch at Fiume on a Sunday as we saw the high ratings. The restaurant is brightly lit, comfortable and spacious. We ordered gnocchi, lamb rack, cauliflower soup and cod. The food was very bland and the cauliflower soup is more like a thick purée. Quite a disappointment and expensive for such quality of food.

P
Poppy Sanz

The food at Fiume was genuinely very good, and the atmosphere was lovely — great vibe and setting. Unfortunately, the service was awful. They made a mistake on every single thing we ordered — drinks, starters, and mains — and there seemed to be very poor communication between the staff. It completely ruined what could have been a great experience.

d
daniel ribeiro

We were disappointed with the service during our visit. We waited around 15 minutes before being approached by a member of staff, and only after we called someone over. After ordering drinks, it took another 15 minutes for them to arrive, despite being able to see them waiting at the bar for some time before being brought to our table. When we raised this, we were told the restaurant was understaffed. Additionally, the cacio e pepe portion was quite small compared to our expectations. We hope this feedback is helpful and can be taken into consideration for future improvements.

J

Very disappointing - We ordered 3 Pasta Dishes and the Lamb Cutlets. For an Italian Restaurant the pasta dishes were awful, no flavour, served cold, and very bland. Upon arrival we were told they only had Rigatoni pasta, so instantly realised they aren't making the pasta fresh, again disappointing for an Italian charging what they charge for their pasta dishes. Service was extremely slow, and at the end of our meal we ordered coffee's which after 40 minutes hadn't arrived, and taking a glance at the bar we could see our order of 2 coffee's and a lemonade just sitting there, along with a dozen other drinks. At one point I saw the bar staff ask the waiter to take an order of drinks to the table and he just walked away. So we requested the bill and left. I would never go back and wouldn't ever recommend

*Vegans beware* Terrible experience for a work team meal. I had pre-ordered my vegan options well in advance, and I even rechecked it was vegan cheese on my starter when my food was delivered. Half way through my starter, I was informed that the cheese was in fact not vegan. I felt sick at the thought! They then confirmed that my main ravioli dish (also pre-ordered as vegan) was also not suitable for vegans as it contained eggs. I waa given a stuffed pepper instead, but I really had no appetite for this place by then. They are clueless on vegan requirements and I only remained as it was a work event. Through the process there was no apology which just added to the disappointment. Under these totally unacceptable circumstances, a single star is excessively generous!

C

As regular customers, we were expecting a similar standard of service. However, we were extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The server was very aggressive and appeared to be annoyed to serve us. When requesting a bottle of prosecco, he proceeded and selected the most expensive one without consulting us. None of our needs were met which is extremely disappointing given the restaurant’s reputation.

J
J M

Food was pretty mediocre However, the service was relatively decent, nice staff. I wouldn’t mind this place in the summer, but in the winter for some reason they really feel the door should be open despite it being 3° outside. When asked to close the door, they did at our request but opened it again immediately we were left shivering. Definitely wouldn’t come back here outside of the month of May As I’d be at risk of Covid part 4. Such a shame.

We had the most bizarre experience ever in a restaurant in London. We book a table for 8:30pm. We are a big family party of 10 here to celebrate anniversary/ birthday and dinner together. We have a table booked upon arriving on time we are told that we’re very late and host proceeds to WARN that the restaurant today closes in half an hour and that we have to order on the next 15 minutes. This is as our guests were arriving one after another within the first 15 minutes of actual booking. How embarrassing this was for our guests as well as us!!! Then we are gob smacked with “no food available and most dishes finished”. We wonder why they accepted the booking in the first place. The place has a few tables dining despite it boasting a large open plan and private dining. So we proceed to pick our belongings and leave. I guess they had no clue and no idea how the impression they gave and the impact of their arrogant and unwelcome approach to first time guests in their restaurant and visitors on their country. Had this been in Dubai it would have never happened. We warmly welcome all guests to come to our country and experience what hospitality looks and feels like. If you’re in the hospitality business then you need to know exactly what the means and how it should look like. Clearly you have no clue. Like they say first impressions are lasting. And one bad experience is bound to have a ripple effect once news gets around… Meanwhile as we walked out it takes a few minutes for another family member to secure an immediate on the spot booking and table at the Indian restaurant Dishoom around the same corner. Highly recommended. Completely different vibe, extremely welcoming, warm, generous with both their food offerings and service was impeccable. Hard luck for the arrogant Fiume. You will certainly never have us wanting to book or even look at your restaurant again. Shame on you representing an Italian restaurant with this much unfounded arrogance and unwelcome. Glad we didn’t have to waste our money or time in such a place.

Spaghetti On Toast

I recently visited Fiume with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. From the moment we sat down, the most pressing issue was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was very cold to the point where several guests around us kept their coats on throughout their entire meal. Kinda difficult to enjoy a dining experience when you are shivering between courses, and the drafty atmosphere significantly detracted from what should have been a cozy Christmas Italian dinner. As for the food, it was just average. While the presentation was decent, the flavors lacked the taste and authenticity I expected from a restaurant of this stature. My pasta was just blunt, and the sauce felt uninspired, making the meal feel okay, rather than memorable. It certainly didn't justify the premium reputation the establishment had. The most frustrating part of the night, however, came with the bill. We noticed that the menu prices were different from the final charges. And several items were priced higher on the receipt than what was clearly stated on the one page menu we ordered from. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they had resolved it, but it felt like they had done us a favour. Between the chilly interior, mediocre food, and billing discrepancies, I won't be going back there, never ever again.
