Visited with my boyfriend for a drink, which quickly turned into a three course meal all because of the staff, fabulous atmosphere and extremely tasty food. Paolo’s team is great. Special shout out to Toby & Jock for a great experience. Will definitely be back
Soon after arriving in London, we went looking for a Sunday roast dinner experience. I'm so glad we found the Warwick! We had the vegetarian and half-chicken versions, and everything was on point. We had possibly the best Yorkshire pudding we tried during our trip through the UK, and the portions were so generous, we had enough potatoes and gravy for a nice snack later on. We'll measure all other Sunday roast dinners by this one as the gold standard. Thank you!
Attended on a friday night, what a brilliant experience, they even arranged for me to have a cigar ash tray , when I wanted to go outside to smoke. Brilliant stuff, great attitude, truly truly a boon to the area. Well done and to the manager, you run such a beautiful ship.I'm super impressed.
What a pristine place!! The food was delicious followed by service that could not be topped anywhere else! The workers were so friendly and accommodating! Scott was super welcoming and did everything he could to accommodate our large party. He was polite and patient with a smile that never left his face! We will absolutely be returning whenever we can! After spending two days straight here, we will always recommend this as our first place of business! Drinks and cocktail list was perfect and delicious! Beer was tasty too! Tried about their whole menu within two days and would still frequent the spot!
***** Five star Sunday Roast! As a big fan of Sunday roast, I have been visiting pubs, restaurants and steakhouses for more than 20 years looking for the best roast in town. Over the years, I have had only a couple of favourite Sunday roasts places (ones that are on top of my list, and that I return to regularly). Hawksmoor Seven Dials and Cross Keys in Chelsea were the two most worthy roasts over the years, alas they have gone downhill recently, so I was on the hunt for a new roast place for my weekly pilgrimage. I heard from friends that this local pub in Pimlico, the Warwick, has a passionate and talented owner who actually cares about taste and quality of his food, and as his pub is also a free house (a pub that is not tied to a particular brand of beer), he is free to choose the beer as he wishes, but also for specific economic reasons, can keep a higher quality of food than other pubs. Now, we had the beef roast and the special roast (pork) and yes, the beef meat was pink and tender, Yorkshire pudding perfectly soft inside and crispy on the outside, the horseradish sauce was creamed and well balanced for the meat. Gravy excellent, and the potatoes, all though I prefer smaller ones, were textured and tasty. Pork was succulent, sauce was great. I’m not generally a fan or pork roast, but I can’t stop thinking about this one. And all this for £22 or so pounds. I am proud to say that I have found the best Sunday roast you can have in a pub in London (at least for now). I will be returning as long as they keep up the quality and care they have about food and drink here. Whilst you are there try the different beers on tap, like blue moon, the local IPAs or the latest lager. They also run a beer of the week. My compliments to the chef, staff and owner.
🚇 Victoria 🍺 £6.10 Pravha The Warwick is located in heart of Pimlico in SW1. The nearest Tube is Victoria, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This independent pub was built in 1842. It was the Princess Royal until 1995 and has since traded as The Orange Kipper and The Hedgehog & Pheasant. This one bar pub is a good size has an upscale traditional feel. The servery is located on the right of the main bar and has a modern back bar. Just off the main bar is a cosy lower area with comfy chesterfields. Upstairs is an elegant dining room if you want to get away from the busy main bar. There are some nice decorative touches here, around the perimeter of the main bar are gorgeous Victorian tiles, a beautiful stained glass window and stylish copper cladding. The beer line up is solid and offers a good selection of cask, local craft and premium beers. I decided on a Pravha, my pint was great, price point was average. The food menu is minimal and includes elevated pub grub dishes, Fish & Chips costs £18. I arrived just before 6pm on a chilly Friday afternoon in March. The pub was busy with an upbeat buzzy atmosphere. The punters were a mix of post work drinkers, some locals and a fair few tourists. The soundtrack was 70’s & 80’s pop and rock classics and set a nice tone. @thewarwickpimlico was a pleasant visit and a good all round pub experience. Worth a look if you’re in the area. ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 08.03.24
I had a fantastic experience at The Warwick Pimlico. The team were incredibly helpful, accommodating and friendly, and made hosting my client event effortless. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stood out, and the space itself was lovely - perfect for what we needed. Huge thank you to Toby, Yana, Martina and Anna for looking after us so well. I’ll definitely be using The Warwick Pimlico again for future events!
Stopped in for a pint and ended up staying for hours. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d want from a London pub warm, welcoming, and full of character. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great selection of beers on tap, including some excellent local brews, and the food was spot on proper pub classics done right.
We we're staying in London, right down from the Warwick and happy that we were. We had dinner here twice. The first just my wife and myself. We got an order of Fish n' Chips, asparagus and tomatoes and my wife tried a few spritzers. We had gotten a Traditional FnC at a few places in London, but The Warwicks was one of the best! Both the tomato and asparagus were quite tasty as well. We went back on Sunday to try their traditional roasts. We got the Sirloin. Lamb and Pork Belly and my son got their FnC. All of it was fantastic! Mine was the pork belly and it was probably the best Pork Belly I've ever had. The Yorkshire Pudding was nice big, plump and crisp. Potatoes were roasted to perfection then the carrots and greens were nice and tender. Everyone enjoyed their meal tremendously and my son thought there FnC was "Awesome". The staff was super friendly, chatty and helpful. Always seemed to have a good crowd. I can't recommend them enough!
Fantastic pub with great staff. We had our Christmas party here and the food was delicious and the service absolutely faultless. Thank you, we will be back again!
I have been to the Warwick on many occasion as it is just down the road from the office. I haven't been back in at least a year due to the pandemic but visited today and was pleased that nothing has changed! Great staff good beer selection the Chieftan IPA is definitely recommended and my lager drinking friends said they haven't had a better pint of Stratopramen! I like that the different beers have their own branded glasses as well little touch but it pays off. We had food which I have always thought I'd very good especially for the price in this area. Double cheeseburger with bacon and the chunkiest chips I think I have ever had seriously these are about half a potato per chip for about £15 is not bad especially for the area. Burger was nicely done fried onions and pickles a great addition and the chips although ridiculously chunky were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Others had the fish and chips which looked great and had equally good reviews. Staff are friendly and attentive. If you are around that area then it is well worth a visit!
The staff is extraordinarily friendly and welcoming, and I would recommend this place for that reason alone. The food puts it over the top, though. I was leaning toward the fish and chips, but my server wisely steered me toward the cod goujon sandwich with french fries. When I saw the fish and chips sent out to another table, I'm glad I opted for the smaller portion. The fish was delightfully crispy with no greasy residue found in other places. I ate every one one of those fries, deliciously seasoned and fried to perfection. Washed it all down with a cold Guinness, and my meal was complete. This place is one more reason I wish I lived in London!
This place honestly, the lamb roast is to die for. Leeks in stilton is a killer and tastes so good. I would recommend you sit upstairs for privacy and also better acoustic, downstairs can be loud and overwhelming Great service and warm welcoming and it has been a very long time since I’ve had a good roast in London and it’s in the heart of Pimlico. It’s a must try and we will be back.
Walked past at the perfect time seen a beautiful looking roast being carried to a table and couldn’t stop thinking about it so we went back for tea it did not disappoint I had the pork belly it was cooked to perfection the fat was cooked beautifully so crunchy even whilst being covered in gravy and THE GRAVY was amazing so rich almost like Au Jus. We went the next day to and had fish and chips my friend had the venison burger everything was so full of flavour down to the peas honestly couldn’t fault 1 thing hats off to the chef everything was amazing. The owner and staff are amazing so friendly and helpful it was lovely looking around at the art on the walls and cacti at the tables we really can’t wait to come back one of my favourite places in London.
Tried the Sunday roast special - it’s a must! We had both lamb and beef, lamb was juicier and our favorite. Also had grilled Camembert and burrata with heirloom tomatoes - very tasty. Service was nice, but they didn’t offer us desserts, and when we asked, they said the kitchen was already closed. Still, we enjoyed the food a lot.
We found Warwick’s by a matter of chance due to the proximity to our hotel about a year ago. This time, we came back several more times. The Sunday roast is AMAZING, as well as the venison burger - that was newly added to the menu. We had the opportunity to talk to the owner, Artem, for a while, who was so friendly. The entire staff - Paolo, Toby, Alessia and Yana were also very accommodating. Can’t wait for our next visit!
Good restaurant, waiters are agreable and kind, meals are good and mood is the one of a classic pub. I recommend. (The place is just a bit noisy)
Chicken and mushroom pie was perfect
Delicious food and warm welcoming space! This is my second visit to this restaurant and the staffs are nice and friendly. I’ll recommend the salmon fillet to everyone! As well as the blood orange pudding.
Sunday roast was fab! Reasonably priced too.
Great British atmosphere and delicious food. Fish and chips dish is enormous and incredible. The staff is very nice and polite. Definitely worth coming here.
The Sunday roast was delicious! Beef sirloin. Love this pub, great vibes!
1st time here. Food was awesome. The Venison Burger was delicious and well balanced with the flavours!
Great place to go. I watched the football. Great atmosphere very friendly and approachable staff. Really enjoyed my food also. Love the Old fashioned beer aswell. Really great touch
Dropped in for 1, stayed for 4 due to the immaculate friendly service by an Italian lady, who was delightful to talk with, especially for a first time tourist in London
Absolutely lovely pub/restaurant with a terrific atmosphere, amazing staff, and absolutely delicious food. I highly recommend.
We had drinks (hence no stars given for food). Lovely pub. Original features. Friendly staff. What more can you ask for..?
Great roast, amazing service, buzzing vibe for a lovely sunday, Jock Toby and Paolo really looked after us, great experience
Food was fantastic one of the best Sunday roasts I have had, the chefs special (pork belly) was just right and the staff were very friendly and polite especially our waitress Yana
Ate fish & chips. Did not dissapoint. Good customer service. Noisy but friendly athmosphere.
Really nice stuff, helpful. Place is really comfortable. Beers goes about 6-7£, and I really recommend Czech Republic beer. Jg diff
The food was very tasty and the staff very friendly. We came for the vegan fish & chips, which was unfortunately not available. The alternative option - the vegan cheeseburger - was also very tasty.
WOW! I have so much to say about this lovely place. We were walking past after a long day and saw a couple with a beautiful looking roast dinner Infront of them. We fell in love. So we decided on our way back to the hotel we'd go freshen up and then dash back to see if we could get one ourselves. We arrived at 8pm and granted it was a little late at this point we just thought we'd try our luck. They welcomed us with such a friendly welcoming and were suddenly taken aback and pleasantly surprised. We originally wanted the lamb roast but unfortunately they were out at this point which we understood as it was late, so we ordered the pork belly roast but we will be trying the lamb next time and I had a pint of madri to go with. The pint was lovely and lines were clearly well taken care of. When the roast arrived I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY! It has a massive pork belly slab that was so crispy but tender that stayed crispy throughout the whole meal. The vegetables were lovely and the gravy was absolutely UNREAL! It was rich and perfectly thick. It was just divine we were absolutely amazed. The service was great! Everyone was so nice and the owner/manager came over to ask us how everything was. He even came over at the end and chatted with us and all we could do was compliment. I would truly recommend this place to everyone I know. We just had the best time we could have hoped for. Thank you so much for such a beautiful experience, we WILL be back whenever we're back in London.
My family and I visitied London for a week and ate lunch and dinner at a different restaurant for each meal with no regard of cost. Our dinner at The Warwick was our favorite dining experience. The interior was rustic and comfortable, well worn and casual. Service was exceptional. Staff was patient with us trying to find menu items for teenagers with food allergies and finding tables for us on a busy night despite our not having reservations. We had a few good pints of local ale and grilled gourgette’s and Caesar chicken croquettes to start, all nice. The standouts were the mains: chicken and mushroom pie over mashed potatoes and gravy and fish and chips. The pie crust was substantial and flakey, filling moist and flavorful, gravy deeply-flavored and silky, and mashed smooth and comforting. A generous portion of fresh fish had a light but shatteringly crisp exterior. I’d been served chips several times during the week — all billed on the menu as “triple fried” — that were all obviously to me dropped in the fryer from a bag right out of the freezer. The Warwick’s chips were proper thick wedges of fresh potatoes with crisp exteriors and fluffy interiors tasting of potato. All the food arrived piping hot from the kitchen, not from under heat lamps. Sticky toffee pudding tasted like Christmas, redolent with warm spices. Chocolate fondant was warm and rich and served with very good pistachio ice cream. Even our fussy teenagers reported their hamburgers were “five stars”. After a week of barely OK expensive fine dining meals in posh London neighborhoods we were joyful to have found a really excellent pub meal.
A lovely Victorian pub in the heart of Pimlico. An offering of 9 keg beers and ciders along with three cask ales. Delightful staff looking jolly and happy to serve drinks. Bad timing on my part, the kitchen is closed. The Venison Burger looked very tempting (I've never had a burger from Venus). A gorgeous little pub, well worth a visit.
I had for the first time the vegan Fish and chips, I was really impressed! We waited a little bit too much and then the waiter realized that he ordered the wrong stuff but he offered us something for the inconvenient. I appreciate that, these stuff can happen! The food was great and in the end we're happy!
Service and friendliness was excellent. Food was below average, earthy tasting chips and a small burger (opened the bun to see if anything was in there sized). Then came the >10% service charge auto added in a pub. I am told "around here they all do it". Disappointing.
I saw a member of staff drop a ciggerete butt straight into the gutter. There are bins along the street. That could now end up in the ocean. Really annoying. Will never eat there. No one likes a litter bug
