POMONA’S

Absolutely delicious - move over Grangers and 202, this is by far the best brunch in Notting Hill. Gorgeous decor, friendly service, fab coffee and excellent food (I highly recommend the pancakes). This was the first time I tried the place even though I live in the area and was so shocked that I hadn’t been before/there weren’t queues around the block - seriously underrated. Dog friendly too, they even provided our pug with a water bowl which was a lovely touch. I recommend this restaurant very highly.

Had a really great time at Pomona's on a Saturday night with friends. Super accommodating with the booking etc. Really nice staff and quick service. And most importantly creative / fine / healthy food + superb cocktails. Not to mention the effort that has gone into the interior decoration and atmosphere. A really good find, will be back!

Great food and nice setting. Went on a Monday for dinner when the restaurant was not quite full. As a result the service was good and the food arrived quickly. The watercress and egg york ravioli were a real revelation and beautifully done. Thank you Pomona. Will come back for sure.

I had a great breakfast experience. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Good menu choices. Lovely garden seating area. We asked for the heaters to be turned on so we could sit in the garden, this was done with no complaints. The food was great and I'd return for lunch or dinner.

Great atmosphere and service. Food can be hit or miss depending on your taste, but overall quality is exceptional. Will accommodate for your requests. Great place for a business dinner, or wedding dinner (been here for both occasions) A bit on the pricy side.

Great restaurant in London with a nice interior and reasonable priced food. The waiters are very friendly and it is also ideally for babies. Great also to have brunch or lunch. Prices are reasonable for the area and the service. Totally recommend.

@rondamakan Day 4 food-vent. I am so excited. I have felt that the last few months have been quite mediocre with more misses than hits with my new eats and I have been contemplating riding out this food-vent calendar with a liquid heavy diet. But Someone is definitely on the lookout for my liver and delivered @pomonaslondon - to my doorstep!! This big, fuzzy, loving burst of happy Mexi-Cali sunshine drew a goofy, contented smile on my martini-infused brain and I am still having little bubbles (none at brunch sadly) of *aaaaahhhhhh* hours on I wanted to hold out on this gem for as long as I could for selfish reasons but my Christmas spirit trumps (hah, I would build a wall around this place!). Day 4 food-vent has set the standards high with 21 more sleeps to Christmas. The going may be tough but more than a few first-world issues definitely solved today. @rondamakan

Went here for lunch, such a beautiful, bright and fun space! Cocktails were fantastic and the menu had a nice range of options from shaken to more spirit forward drinks, great beer/wine options as well. It was raining on and off so we dined indoors but the back garden area looked like it would be amazing on nice days. Attentive service and just an overall lovely experience from start to finish. We each got a different fancy toast and both were spot on delicious. One of my favorite meals in London, highly recommend!

After a long day of work we went to Pomono’s for dinner. That was a good decision. The atmosphere, the staff, the food.... it was all wonderful. Also the way the food is served was very nice. When you are in the neighborhood you should step by for a wonderful meal.

Dear Erato, Jay, Wolfe and all your fabulous staff, We want to say again in writing what an amazing job you all did to make our wedding day the dream it was!! We couldn’t of asked for a more perfect party that you all helped to create; from the attention to detail, organising the decor, creating the wonderful food, helping the musicians, the tasting day and more importantly being friendly, professional and fun. Soooo many people said it was the best wedding they had been to and that the staff were exceptional, which is no mean feat coming from our guests, who know quality when they see it. My photographer Henry, a veteran of over a thousand weddings, said he’d never been made so welcome. When returning the following day, you were all there again, bright, helpful and attentive despite the 2am finish!!! What an amazing venue and amazing staff. We salute you, Much love, James & Sheena! Great service and food. The meat special of venison was the highlight for me. Decent wine list and cocktails were decent as well. Nice spacious dining area.

Amazing private engagement party in their patio. Drink and food menus displayed. Flowers delivered from neighboring company. Professional staff and attention to guests well-received.

I was here on friday night and had a really nice time. The floor manager was very nice, polite & helpful! Her recommendations were blast! The smoked plum negroni was one of the best Negronis I’ve ever tried! And the oysters....YUM. I’ll be back!

Feeling of spring, light interiors, happy food, friendly staff. Located just off Westbourne Grove, in a quiet side street, Pomona is a great spot for brunch, with a well sized outside space.

I had the privilege of doing some work in Pomona's immaculate kitchen for a special event this weekend just gone (whilst colleagues of mine dined there). The standards in the kitchen are exceptional and the professional and courteous front of house staff made an already great food a brilliant dining experience. The bar is thoughtfully stocked with high quality products and there are beautiful facilities upstairs available for private parties as well as an impressive board-room available. There's a good reason why this is in the Michelin guide and I expect it won't be too long before there's a star coming their way.

Some friends booked that restaurant on a Saturday evening. We did not know it and had no expectations. The food was excellent. The ambience nice. The service was good. We intend to come back end of November with other friends.

What’s it meant to be? Italian? Mexican? Spanish? Regardless, the food - pan fried cod, lobster bisque, I like meat so the place is great for me. Also, best cocktail I’ve ever had! Sweet but brilliant smokiness

Booked the library upstairs for some filming, lovely room, amazing staff and generally top notch service. Very quiet aside from a few sirens etc. which couldn't be helped obviously. Wouldn't recommend that room on a hot day as the windows don't open! Otherwise excellent

Worth every penny. Lovely setting, friendly staff and delicious oysters. Menu is short, but very well thought out, plus they have a great selection of wines.

Loved the food, Loved the drinks, Loved the atmosphere, Loved the staff. Most importantly it's family friendly (they have a creche upstairs for kids to have fun while the adults are having a meal or drinks). All my friends and I absolutely recommend this place !

The food here is amazing! The pork tacos and the monkfish tacos are delicious. All the ingredients are really fresh and all the dishes are healthy but full of flavour. Great cocktails too.

Lovely restaurant, friendly, attentive staff. We had dinner with another couple on Valentine's night, nothing romantic was expected as we don't really do valentines. Place was filled with couples dining, we were made to feel welcomed and attended to, good meal from the á la carte menu, Monkfish with oxtail and lovely hand cut chips, cheese plate to finish.

We had a very tasty meal here, everything was very good but not quite worthy of a five-star experience. I would advise that you do not order too many dishes, as they are all large. Our waitress suggested 6 between 2 people, that was too many

Very tasty food. Nice mix of choice including a few mexican dishes like ceviche. Chicken was overpriced with a weird fish sauce that did not go together. Desert was awesome (Apple with ice cream) All in all a nice atmosphere with lovely staff and a great place for brunch/lunch. Would go again once they change the chicken price and sauce.

Excellent for a pre-theatre meal, as this restaurant is directly opposite The Print Room theatre (who may have some deal coupons if you're lucky). Service here was excellent, as was the food. Very well priced specials for the area.

Interesting decor, old beautiful wooden bar from the previous place, the commander, is gone and made place to pastel colours. Very good breakfast, incredible buckwheat pancakes and scramble eggs!

Went during the soft launch phase of the new menu and head chef. A few understandable hiccups as would be expected, but overall very pleasant staff (lovely Aussie fella) and quality of food strong. Some good bin ends too.

Really pleasant setting, and the food was nice. That being said, would have expected the menu to have been more imaginative. Also despite being quiet the service was quite slow.

Went for dinner - food was good and loved the fresh interior. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and attentive. Great addition to the hood!

Food quality is not even. I came here one month ago with a friend and it was amazing. I came in today as I told my friends food was great, i took the same burger and did not taste the same at all and fries were not well cooked - very disappointing.... also saw a mouse around (...) Good point is that staff is nice especially bar tenders. Not sure I will come back after tonight as it can be a bit pricey if quality is not here.

I've visited a few times over the last years - as it is a great location with nice garden on a quiet street, but consistently been disappointed by the service. Yesterday morning we came in for a coffee and were the only guests at the time, but we were told we couldn't sit in the garden (lunch only). So we asked for the terrace in front, for which they then let us wait at the bar. Mind you, there was NO ONE else there - why let people wait?! After a short wait we decided to go elsewhere. Shame.

Food was good, we were constantly being starred at and the worst once the staff walked off they whispered. Once our food was served our the Chef came and asked who ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Cajun hollandaise without the chicken and I said it was me. He gave me an awkward laugh and walked off. Why would you do tha? Is there a problem that I want a myffin with poached egg, spinach and sauce without the chicken? I usually come here and take my friends from abroad to experience Pomonas. However, this experience was honestly so dissapointing. Just a tip, when we are the only once in your restaurant, it would have been great to get some privacy instead of being asked every 5 mins if “everything is ok”? If you like Pancakes definitely order those as they are very good. The Cajun Hollandaise was very tasteful too and the muffin was very yummy.

We were so excited to have brunch here but clearly we came on a bad day. My husband got the chicken which was too pink so he asked for it to be cooked. It was returned by a manager saying it’s organic and meant to be pink. She spoke to me for some reason, I explained I’m vegetarian .for some reason she assumed the chicken was mine !!!He couldn’t eat it. They didn’t care. Our plates were taken away so fast. We asked for the dessert menu and was presented with a bill and my husband has to hand wrestle his desert plate from the over keen waiter . We got our bill twice before we asked for it. £111. For two adults and a three year old and no alcohol. We got home to order food as everyone was hungry except my three year old who ate the greasiest chips I’ve had in a while. Very disappointing service, and a let down on the food. Won’t be going back. Not that they would care. !!!

Shame about this place. We had high hopes but have yet to have an enjoyable experience here, even after a few visits. The last time was the nail in the coffin. Missed order, slow service and hardly any other diners there so no excuses. Hopefully they can turn it around or give someone else a chance at opening a better restaurant in its place.

What I really appreciated was the politeness and professionalism of the staff (5 stars for that). Regarding the brunch experience: worst brunch ever. Poor quality of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The bread was tasteless. Very expensive for poor quality of food.
