Food - absolutely amazing. Authentic. Delicious. The setting is very chilled and family-oriented, we were sat outside with our two little ones and they enjoyed it so much. The great thing about it was also that we were checked on regularly how the food is received, how we are doing but never felt rushed or hovering. Just right. The venue inside is very spacious too, ideal for various parties. Great experience.

We had our wedding here on 23.08.25. The staff were absolutely amazing. Costa and his team made our day as special as we wanted it to be. A special mention to Aneta and all the waiting staff who catered to all our needs. The venue looked stunning and the food was absolutely amazing. I would defiantly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a special place for any event. Thank you also to Bianca who is the events planner!! Please, don’t think twice. This is our new favouring place to be!!

We visited because we’re fans of The Kinks, but honestly, the food alone is worth the visit. You can really feel the pride in the fresh, healthy ingredients brought in from Greece — everything was delicious. The owner was incredibly kind, and when we mentioned we’re Kinks fans, they guided us to the largest table in the Kinks Room. It was amazing to see so many records and traces of The Kinks preserved so well, something you don’t get to see much elsewhere in London. For our son, who’s also a huge fan, this was the highlight of the trip — truly an unforgettable experience.

The staff were very friendly and very polite. They made our whole table feel special. It was a great experience. And the food was delicious and great portions. Definitely will go again

Celebrated a party for my daughter, for both friends and family, with circa 70 guests. The team was patient l, flexible and helped me to make the best decision, accomodating last minute changes without any problems. On the day, I was given early access to put up decorations. The food quantity was much more than I expected and was so tasty. Everything was beautiful and well organised and the team made us feel really special and we could enjoy the day because everything was looked after. Thank you so much to Bianca, Costas, Dimitri and the entire staff!

We recently organised a major event at The Clissold Arms, and the experience was outstanding! The manager and staff were incredibly helpful during the planning process and went above and beyond on the day. They were friendly, flexible, and made everything run smoothly. Our guests loved the venue and said it was a wonderful evening. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner or a big celebration, you can’t go wrong here. This place is not cheap but it doesn't pretend to be, although saying that its not over the top pricey. The waiter knew everything about the dishes even the type of potato, the manager was very friendly too and welcomed my dogs too and brought over some water for them. The atmosphere was lovely which made the sting of the bill a bit better.

The Clissold Arms is an absolute gem! The staff are the highlight - they are incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming. They always make a big effort with my Grandma and say hello etc. We had her 90th birthday party there and it was all perfect. The Greek food is brilliant, generous portions and always fresh and delicious! Apparently the Sunday roast is great but I haven’t had it. Lots of vegetarian options too. Highly recommend!

Cliss Old Arms Pub is a fantastic place with a warm and authentic atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, which really adds to the overall experience. The drinks are excellent, with a great selection of beers and well-made cocktails. The food is great as well — tasty, well-prepared, and perfect to enjoy with a drink. The music and vibe strike a perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors. A truly enjoyable pub with character — definitely worth a visit, and a place you’ll want to return to. 🍻

Extremely accommodating staff Bianca over the phone and Demitri the manager help put together and great 40th birthday party with Tas Diastello music .Food was great and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Greek food was on point too. Definitely recommend See you guys soon 👌🏼🙌🏼

The Greek food is spectacular - especially the lamb! It rivals some of the best Greek food I've ever had, and is certainly the best I've tried in London. The food is matched by the wonderfully warm and friendly staff who go out of their way to be welcoming. For those with an interest in the Kinks, it is a much visit as they've done a great job preserving their special place in music history.

The team at the Clissold Arms truly go above and beyond for their customers. We hosted an event here in support of women affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence, and the team were absolutely brilliant throughout. This is a business with real heart — full of kindness, care, and genuine hospitality. I couldn’t recommend the Clissold Arms highly enough for any event.

As dedicated followers of the Kinks, my partner and I took the tube from our central London location to visit Fortis Green, the place where it all started. It's well-known that this pub is the place the Davies brothers played their first gig- easy to believe because it is literally across the street from their childhood home. We went on a Saturday morning to check out the home and Clissold Arms, and sat in their Kinks room to enjoy their memorabilia and fan art at a table with a view of the home. We ordered two very rare morning beers to justify our existence there and bask in the glory of one of the greatest rock bands ever. At a point, the owner came and confusedly showed us a receipt from their register showing the payment for our pints had not gone through. I checked my online banking app, and it showed that it had indeed been paid, so he left it at that, no further problems. Upon returning to the States, I checked my credit card statement, and sure enough, the payment had been rescinded. I reached out to the Clissold Arms about it, offering to settle up for our unpaid bill, and they graciously waved off the charge and told us to swing by the next time we were in London- a classy and generous move. With that kind of customer service, I'm more than happy to tell any wayward Kinks fan to travel to Muswell Hill and have a pint and more at this splendid pub and piece of rock and roll history. Met up with 2 friends, hadn’t seen for 22 years, lovely place, manager/owner could not do enough for us. We all had the Lamb Roast, omg wow, so much lamb and so succulent, has to be up there with one of the best roasts I’ve eaten out. Complimentary baklava, which was amazing. We will be back. Thank you for a great afternoon.

On our way back from Go Ape, me and my girlfriend were staving. I searched up “best roast in North London”. We arrived to see authentic Greek food on the sign outside. Skeptical they could deliver a proper roast, we walked in. I ordered the lamb roast. Absolute Gorgeous 10/10 would highly recommend. The tender Greek lamb with the roast is a synergy I never knew I needed. Niko, the friendly gentleman with the moustache had story’s of Greece which enhance the atmosphere, as well as the light jazz throughout our meal. I will be coming back.

Really good food. Staff were amazingly polite and courteous. I will definitely be going back there to dine in their garden when it's a little warmer, which looks quite beautiful even in the cold.

The Clissold Arms was able to arrange a family gathering at very short notice, to remember a recently departed loved one. The ambience, staff and food could honestly not be faulted and to be able to cater perfectly for our needs was amazing. We settled on the (authentic — there was a Grecophile among us) Meze buffet. Portions were generous and doggy-bags gladly provided. We had the Kinks Room, in honour of the two main band members, Ray and Dave Davies, who famously ‘emigrated’ to the nearby Muswell Hill as youngsters. A brilliant experience.

Went there especially to see The Kinks room. I wasn't disappointed. The room is a fitting tribute to an iconic band. Had a lovely pint of pale ale. I'd like to give a special mention to the barman, Costos. He was very welcoming and a great advert for the pub. God save The Kinks

Such a great pub with the most amazing food and service. Love finding authentic Greek food spots and this one has a great atmosphere to go with it. Staff are very accommodating right from the booking process to the booking itself. Looking forward to going back soon!

A hidden gem! I can’t recommend this gastro pub enough. Me and my family had a lovely Sunday dinner. Great menu, good wines and lots of choices on the children’s menu. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Will be back soon.

Superb Greek restaurant in this famous old rock history pub. The food is superb! The service is exceptional! And no, I'm not a friend of the owner more a member of their family. Nor have I been given any incentive to post this review. These are my sincere views based on several visits. Thanks to the whole team.

A lovely friendly and cosy pub, nice outside seating area too! delicious food menu, we had a selection of small plates, calamari, octopus and chicken keftedes - all delicious! absolutely top class serving from Nikos, so welcoming and friendly and made us laugh. Gave us a little history of the Kinks which was nice! We will be back again for sure xx

Not sure the online booking worked properly, but as thete were available tables it didn't matter. We had a set meze which worked out well and was tasty. Service was very good.

A visit, to see where The Kinks started, a great time to be brought up musically! Really enjoyed my visit, the staff put on a load of Kinks music for me, thank you. Beer was good, cold and hearty. The lads on the bar were lovely and so polite. The Kinks Room at the front is ideal for any pop pilgrimage. There is also a huge outside area an much foodie things to be done. A lovely place to visit. Also, it turns out Ray Davies lived over the road, wonderful.

Solid 4 stars. Located halfway between east Finchley station and muswell hill. About 15 mins walk away from each. Parking onsite for 3-4 cars. Lovely outdoor seating with plenty of tables in the courtyard. Dog friendly. Good Greek food on offer. Had a couple of entrees (spanikopita, tatziki) and good mains of lamb shank and octopus. A tasty meal with good portion size. Friendly service. About £80 for 2 with a couple of drinks. Happily return.

I went to the chess club here which was quite good. Not many kids but friendly. The pub itself seemed lacking in character. They had a huge garden though with pretty lights.

We had the mezze ( my partner is Greek Cypriot) , we were both disappointed with the hummus and since when a mezze have scrambled eggs. Also à mezze always have at least one meat . Extensive for the quality and quantity.

Weird pub now. Went in for a drink and to watch football match but Sky box mysteriously stopped working and little or no effort to fix. Rather unwelcoming and has an odd feel to it. Shame, as it could be a great plsce

EMBARRASSED. I booked online. This place advertises that it's open until midnight... with the final food order at 22:00. I showed up at 21:00 hoping to get something for dinner. I was insulted and questioned as to why I arrived so late, that the kitchen was closed and staff were ready to go home. Absolutely gobsmacked. I had literally no idea what to do. I felt like David Brent. So unwelcome. The thing that annoyed me the most is that I checked their website and made a reservation. Don't let customers book if you're already closed!! They reluctantly let me stay for an awkward pint and also gave me a bit of pita bread. Great dinner. Good job. Cheers.

Unpleasant Experience with Rude Server During my visit, the blonde server was unnecessarily hostile. I arrived at 3 PM to an empty restaurant and requested a table for one. Instead of seating me in a quiet corner, she placed me right by the entrance of a private party room, where people were constantly walking past. I politely mentioned I’d only be having a quick snack and asked if I could move to a different table. She responded aggressively, saying, *"I tell you where to sit, not you. You haven’t booked!"* Keep in mind, the restaurant was nearly empty—she could have easily accommodated my simple request for a salad and a drink. This wasn’t my first issue with her; she was also rude on my initial visit. At one point, she and an Asian server were even discussing me for some reason. It’s a shame because my first experience here was great—the Greek/Cypriot servers were professional, polite, and welcoming, which is why I returned. Unfortunately, this encounter has completely put me off. **DO NOT RECOMMEND** based on this service.
