Service with a smile since I walked in. This is my second time for brunch and the experience was just as good as the first one. Food came quick and was delicious. I had the Vanilla Bean French Toast, a side of scrambled eggs and French press coffee. The French toast portions are quite big, so I had leftovers, of course. Would love to be back and try lunch and dinner next!
I like the location and the staff is super nice. My favorite was the calamari (not pictured). The shrimp & lobster linguine was good. My broccolini needed just a little more char (not pictured). Ube cheesecake was so good. Yes I will visit again
Great place to eat. Great selection of entrees, including steaks, seafood, sandwiches, salads! Great beer and cocktails as well! Wait staff was phenomenal and the food came out really quick!
Nice place but parking was a bit tricky because of the location. Food was delicious and our server was lovely. Place can get a little loud so keep in mind if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience. I look forward to returning and trying something else on the menu
The food and service here was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this place seeing that it is in a strip mall. I had the Halibut with mashed potatoes and mixed root vegetables. It was delicious. I also had a great local Hazy IPA. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they were sweet enough to give her a free chocolate cake with ice cream desert and a lit candle. Nice touch! Our waitress was outstanding. My girlfriend had the steak and frites with Brazilian chimicurri and that would outstanding as well.
An upscale eatery with a wide range of menu prices from $20 sandwiches to $100 steaks and everything in-between. The brussel sprouts appetizer is excellent, though could go a bit stronger on the balsamic for my preferences, and is a massive portion well suited for 2-4 people (that I may have mistakenly ordered for just myself). At $14, highly recommend. The maple glazed pork chops are my usual go to, and they're excellent on their own, but today I noticed the Iberica Pork seasonal special and - while not their most expensive offering at *only* $61 - decided to treat myself. The portion size for the Iberica Pork was reasonable, but the temper and seasoning - just some mild, flaky salt - made it absolutely delectable with the perfect render on the fat and excellent crust. The chimichurri offered alongside it is practically sinful to actually use, as it easily overpowers the Iberica Pork, but was quite flavorful for use with the side of grilled broccolini, which was the only mild disappointment given how unseasoned it was. The other side, garlic fries, were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a nice amount of garlic. The Panna Cotta is excellent, though a bit confusing as it appears the coffee, caramel, and banana flavors were all blended together instead of being layered or separate. The English breakfast tea was, unfortunately, not actually available - but the early gray on offer instead hit the spot just the same and paired nicely with the desert. An excellent place for special occasions or more frequent visits if one can resist the temptation of their generally pricey specials.
A fantastic restaurant with a wide variety of food options. I ordered the braised short rib, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent; our server was both friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere is vibrant, with the choice of cozy indoor seating or a pleasant outdoor patio. The menu offers something for everyone, including fish, shrimp, salads, and various meat dishes. Highly recommended!
The 908 in Long Beach totally hit the spot. It has that rare combo of clean, elevated food with a chill, modern vibe that makes you want to stay a while. I started with the Caesar salad and added grilled chicken—super crisp romaine, fresh shaved parm, and a house-made dressing that actually had flavor (not the watery stuff). The chicken was grilled just right—juicy, clean, no grease. Simple and perfect. The Thai Curry Sea Bass was the star of the night. The fish was buttery soft, and the curry had just the right amount of warmth without being heavy. Loved the fresh veggies and the light rice on the side. It was flavorful but still felt light—like the kind of dish you feel good eating. Ended the night with the berry cobbler and ice cream and oh my god, it was SO good. Tart, sweet, warm berries with a golden, buttery topping and melty vanilla ice cream. I don’t even normally go for dessert, but this was 100% worth it. The whole place has this relaxed, welcoming energy. Everyone on the team was so friendly and kind—just really good people. It’s modern without being cold, buzzy without being loud. Honestly, it’s one of those places you instantly want to come back to. Already planning a return trip for brunch.
Here for a business dinner. Great service. Great appetizers and my steak was excellent. Nice decor. Will definitely come back here when I return to Long Beach.
The 908 is an old fave down in Long Beach at thr Long Beach Exchange - LBX. Met up there with an old friend for lunch recently, and it did not disappoint. The poke bowl was light and refreshing, and sitting on the patio, the weather was perfect. Great also for after work drinks. I actually have never been for dinner, as I usually go for lunch and sit on the patio! Whatever your choice is, enjoy!
Great menu! Everything we tried was delicious. Love the cocktails too! Nice atmosphere. Upscale, trendy, but friendly LBC vibe.
Fun and lively atmosphere. Good food and good drinks made a fantastic night with family and friends.
You rarely see a restaurant have such unique menu offerings, good food, great staff, and comparable value. The 908 has all of the above. The food was spectacular, not a bad thing about it. We were seated immediately, and the staff was responsive, friendly, and professional. Only good things to say!
Been here twice now for happy hour. Drinks are goods and the appetizers are even better. My team really liked the calamari, poke on crispy rice, and the Brussels sprouts! We definitely look forward to coming back! It’s spacious and great for groups.
My daughter and I shared the chicken and waffle, chicken breast. We also shared a side of the potato salad. I'll start with service. Service was amazing, everyone working was so sweet and helpful. Portions were big, enough for us to share. Food was so good, my daughter loves the chicken breast on the waffle so much. She said it's her favorite and the breading is amazing and seasoned well. The waffle was the best waffle I've ever had! Barely needed any syrup at all because alone it tasted so good, so thick and fluffy, and I can't wait to go back to have the same thing again. I've already told my family about it and a couple other people. I can't wait to try more of their menu items although I just loved the chicken and waffle so much! We can't wait to go back.
I hardly ever have soul food it's not my thing too much. This restaurant turned me into loving soul food. The main dish catfish, you put magic into it. It was so soft, moist so delicious. Will be raving about this place to friends and family.
We got the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, chicken tenders, Gretchen jambalaya Cajun fries, sweet potato fries, lemon Seabass, collard greens and Cajun rice. The servings were plentiful. It was all excellent so juicy and tender full of flavor. The sauces were bangin. It was all good. It was all delicious. We ate so much!!!
My wife and I just stopped in for dinner. As born and raised southerners (me Texas her Georgia) we are used to some great soul food and some great service, and this location absolutely delivered. We are fans of Georgia’s to begin with but Ray and his crew working the front made this evening memorable and honestly made me feel at home back in Texas. They were attentive, informed, charming, and frankly had the best customer service I’ve seen since I got to Cali. Georgia’s is a fantastic spot but I’d come to this one specifically just to see Ray and the team again.
George's soul food type place with great food. Free cornbread for all that walk through the door. The kids like to eat the chicken tenders Shrimp Box. I would recommend the Shrimp Po Boy gumbo and red beans and rice a nice way to end the meal is to eat the beignets. This place has New Orleans type vibes
Really good quality food for the price! Love how you pay for your order right off the bat so you don’t have to wait for your check later. Ordered the Tilapia entree with veggies, rice and a chicken salad. The staff was really friendly and the food came out pretty fast! Plenty of parking around the here and the whole area is really clean. Highly recommend this spot for some healthy entree options.
Good food and unique creative takes on good old comfort dishes. We had a work lunch during the week and the dishes were affordable. I had the prime rib sandwich and the quality of the meat was great. What caught me off guard was the amount of horseradish spread inside the bread. It hit me like a brick… my nostrils open up instantly and my brain went haywire. If you order the sandwich, ask for the horseradish on the side so you can spread it yourself and not be caught off guard. The service was excellent, the restaurant itself was very modern, and the ambience was very comfortable.
Great crispy Brussels sprouts, slightly sweet with bacon, and I loved the bleu cheese on it so much!they must have been out of wine/ champagne glasses for my drink. It was happy hour during the week, not very busy. I’m an out of towner but would probably go again next time and try their sandwiches
Great place to have dinner with friends or family - a variety of options on the menu (with some very unique dishes like the pho burger) and always amazing service from their staff. A little bit on the pricier side but they also have a happy hour on weekdays from 3-6pm for $4 off appetizers and $2 off of draft beer! Their outdoor patio is always busy and it looks like a great place to host an event. We tried their lobster roll, calamari, and steamed mussels this time. Their lobster roll was pretty small and had too much butter for my taste (it was dripping the whole time 😅) but the calamari and mussels were tasty as always!
Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: 3/5 Family friendly: 4/5 Stroller friendly: 2/5 Came here for a company party first week of December. Most things went very smooth until about 6pm when the dinner rush hit. I think our waitress was given way more sections than she could handle on her own because I could see her physically running. She handled everything pretty well, i might add. Food here is good for what you pay for. Not that it's a bad thing, but i feel the food is just slightly over priced for what is given. $125 for a tomahawk chop +2 sides and two of our sides came out waaaaaay after the steak did because our waitress was running around. $25 for 4 inches of roasted bone marrow split in half. Drinks were phenomenal however. I would def come back for the drinks.
First time here. The Service was extremely good. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Food was excellent, collard greens and tri tip were my favorite. Overall good experience. Will probably be back. Fish could use a bit more seasoning.
10.18.24 I love how I can go anywhere and if I google restaurants, the mighty powerful Google search engine will show me what's available in the area. I decided on Georgia's Restaurant as I have not had soul food in ages. This is one of those restaurants where one orders from the board and is given a number, then food gets delivered/served at the table. The menu is clearly written, spacing of menu items is well done, and each of the menu options provides what's included or what sides to choose from. Customer service: I was behind two gentlemen, with the older one using the pay system. Kudos to the older gentleman as he did not give up finishing his transaction. The younger gentleman did not appear to help, possibly because he is very patient in waiting, even though I waited, and waited.... I decided to be patient, too. The receptionist who took the order was just as patient I thought. Thankfully there was just me behind waiting... Customer service is pretty good, especially the one who took my order and checked in on me at the table - great smile adds to overall experience. Atmosphere: Welcoming environment, pretty open inside and out, and clean tables. Menu: Yes, soul food definitely. I decided on the blacked catfish and I opted for grits and collard greens. I also ordered strawberry lemonade. A corn muffin with honey butter was served pretty quickly. It was pretty good. I probably should have asked for a lighter seasoning on the blackened catfish as it ended up to be a little strong for me but I ate it all - had to for the price. Pretty good if one likes really blackened catfish. I loved the grits. I could have had two servings of that. The collard greens were exactly how I remembered collard greens - a little bitter but it was good. I'm not certain about the overall price as it seems to be a bit pricey. The rent and location, prices nowadays, kitchen and customer service staff are probably justified.
Very nice choices of southern style food. I had the shrimp and grits with cheese, which was my first time trying with cheese mixed in. Was a nice addition, and thickened up the texture of the grits. The kids enjoyed their spicy chicken, and chicken and waffle as well. The gumbo was ok. We have had better elsewhere, but not had. Just wouldn't order it here again. Overall great food. On the pricier side, but the quality is there.
We had food delivered due to my surgery. We ordered the double pork chop and the salmon. The pork chop was the bomb. It was fantastic. The salmon was overcooked and a bit salty. I was a bit disappointed since I usually have great food from The 908.
We went as a party of 3 on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was very busy considering it was a Tuesday evening. We found the service from our waiter was good, he seemed knowledgeable and checked often on is to ensure we had a good experience. The service was excellent but we found the food was off average quality. We had the sea bass and the fried chicken. We found the fried chicken to be driving in way too much gravy and we couldn't really taste the flavor of the chicken. The fish was average tasting and was way overpriced. We also found the fried chicken to be overpriced. We wouldn't return there because we found the food to be out of touch with the prices. We also had two appetizers being the meatballs and calamari. The prices were high and again the taste did not match the prices. The noisy atmosphere was good for a celebration or group party but if the quality and price of the food are what matter most to you then I would suggest trying another restaurant.
I’m giving this place three stars because I didn’t try everything, I guess’s I will leave more room to revisit again for a fair review. The first time that I went there, I tried the fried fish thinking it would be the actual fried fish Cajun Louisiana style. Well, it tasted different, tasted like store bought brand and the restaurant took it out from the freezer and fried it. I was not impressed at all. Maybe it is just the fish, not everything else. The fish tasted…hmmm…fake meat. I can’t put my finger on it.
I have been looking forward to eating here for a long time. I ordered the fried chicken with a side of mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and added coleslaw for a total of $28.00. The chicken was extremely dry, the crust was overdone and lacked in flavor. I have never had mashed potatoes that won’t break apart because they were so dry and overcooked. The Mac n cheese, although dry, was delish. The coleslaw could’ve been great, but it was also very dry. On the upside with no notes: The customer service was outstanding. Overall disappointing, truthfully the only thing I ate was the mac & cheese, everything else got tossed.
My trip tip was tasty although I asked for medium and it was cooked all the way the muffins were good but my sides: the Cabbage and Yams were horrible. Im conflicted about the man n cheese. The yams tasted like they came out of a can and the cabbage seemed to only have some type of chili flavoring. Not tasty at all. The Mac n cheese noodles had perfect firmness but something was lacking. My daughter said her Blackened Catfish was good as well her red beans/rice and collars.
I ordered takeout and waited a long time for my food. When I got home, I realized there was no salsa included for the fish, which was a big part of the meal. The food itself was good, but the service was disappointing. Between the long wait, the missing item, and the fact that no compensation or solution was offered, the experience wasn’t handled well. Mistakes happen, but good service is about fixing them and in this case, that didn’t happen. Overall, the food was fine, but the service left a lot to be desired. Not a great experience.
We dined in on Thursday 12/4/25. We were so excited because we love soul food. When our drinks came out my drink had a big fake eye lash on the bottom of my drink, not inside, outside the glass. The cashier was nice and courteous which is the reason I gave 4 stars for service. she made me another one which I wasn't too comfortable with. She could tell so I opted for a beer instead. My daughters noodles were ok, my shrimp Po Boy was not the best overcooked hard shrimp and just bland. My husband got the fried chicken which looked old and I understand it's dark meat but it was dark gray and it was so bland he had to add alot of Louisiana hot sauce to give it some flavor. Well my hubby's stomach immediately was feeling uncomfortable and he thought he was just really full. His stomach hasn't been the same since then. He has been running fevers so I basically made him go to the doctor today to get checked. He said it could be a bad case of food poisoning and had to start him on antibiotics and had labs. I hope my husband feels better soon. Please don't do this to people. It suck's, and that was a wasteful $100 and something bill.
I tried the Long Beach location because I’ve always had good food from the Anaheim restaurant. The food at this place is nowhere near as tasty as the food from the Anaheim location. I had the fried chicken (bland), greens (bland), mac and cheese (just sad), and yams (starchy). The same meal I order every time. Even a ton of hot sauce couldn’t save this meal. Soul food/southern food should have flavor! It’s telling when you don’t smell anything cooking when you walk in. It’s a shame because I really want to support Georgia’s. After reading other reviews, this seems on par for this location. I’ll stick to the Anaheim location.
