Opinions de L V Chinese Restaurant Long Beach
Sandwiches were extremely flavorful and juicy! Don’t pass up on their Blazin’ Fries with their comeback sauce! Dine-In area is clean and the customer service here was excellent as well. As far as my hot chicken sandwich experiences go thus far in life, this place has made it to my Top 3 hot chicken sandwich spots.
Make ** The ** Pilgrimage! They don't call your name until they're sliding the chicken, still crackling from the fryer, directly onto the bun. No heat lamp. No delay. Just immediate delivery of molten, spicy bliss. "Someone call the morgue!" I heard them say... It stayed scorching from first bite to last. That, my friends, is a hot meal done right. It was, without exaggeration, the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.
Husband and I really enjoyed our food! A little bit salty but the coleslaw evened it out. Honestly I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but this paired great with the chicken sandwich! The chicken was HUGE! It definitely kept me filled up for the ride home. The Mac & Cheese noodles were also thick which I really liked because it makes it that more fulfilling. I just want to add that Julia was such a sweetheart and I wish we had time to stay and eat because she lights up the place! Next time I think I'd want to kick up the heat but I was worried it might be too spicy for the drive back, haha. If we're ever in town for longer I would go again! Thank you for serving us!
My Husband and I traveled the nation to where ever the food took us and that included Nashville where we experienced the "OG" hot chicken spot... Unfortunately the OG place we tried was legit horrid (tasted like straight cayenne powder with absolutely no flavor), so not gonna lie we were hesitant to give hot chicken a try again. Cluck n Blaze Caught our eye with their crazy sandwiches and burritos so we finally pulled the trigger and we are SO GLAD that we did! Like WOOOOWWW!!! Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE flavors, crunch, juiciness, spice, EVERYTHING! They seriously saved hot chicken for us and have been OUR FAVORITE that we've tried, as we've tried a couple more spots since, but cluck n blaze continues to out perform all others! We ordered the Plan B and the Breakfast Burrito "Jerry Style" and damn that comeback sauce is so freaken addicting! We've been multiple times and every time that cook on that chicken "slaps" as the kids say these days! We've also had their loaded tacos and mac n cheese with chicken as well!! Our fav was the Plan B and Jerry Style Burrito for sure, but also LOVED the large chicken inside the tacos! We can't recommend Cluck & blaze enough! We will tell you that they have taken a concept from Nashville and MASSIVELY out performed the OG place! They are a MUST if you like flavorful, juicy, crispy chicken with a kick! Random note: We were in town and had won their Thanksgiving giveaway for the Nashville turkey... YYYYEEESSSSS!!! Can't believe HOW WELL the flavors seeped into the juicy crispy turkey! It took Thanksgiving to the next level! If you can be sure to order a Turkey from them to impress your guest at your Next Thanksgiving gathering!!!
The food was delicious and made to order. Had excellent customer service by George, the store manager. He answered some of my questions regarding the menu items. He was so helpful, said I can always ask for a sample of the sauce before I order, just in case it would be too spicy for my taste.
This place feels hidden. It’s in the middle of strip mall that is outdoors. I enjoy the Mac n cheese with the chicken, fries and “You can do Better” seasoning. The cashier was kind. My food was made in a few minutes. The Dr. Pepper was nice and had a vanilla taste to it compared to other restaurants. The heat is not too much, but has a warm sensation when it hits your tongue. I spent over $15 for my meal. They have three televisions and their bathroom was out of service when I visited.
The fried chicken sandwiches are bigger than your typical fried chicken joint. They are filling and the mac & cheese is my side. There’s 6 tables here so it won’t sit a lot of people but def recommend if you’re in the Long Beach area. Parking is a little difficult.
Awesome spot that emulates the same flavors, if not better, than most Nashville hot chicken places I’ve been to in Alabama and Tennessee! Their spice levels are higher than most places so ask for a taste test! The wait times can be longer than expected due to many pick up orders.
The chicken sandwich is so good! And they're not joking around with the spiciness level. The chicken comes out so juicy and crispy at the same time. This place will give KFC a run for their money. Definitely will come here again given the opportunity.
I was on the run so I took a turn to this place. Didn’t really want a sandwich but to my surprise they had a Nashville hot chicken breakfast burrito. I got the medium. I could have went to hot; next time, the 5 stars are going to this burrito. The Mac n cheese is a hit or miss anywhere. Mac n cheese was good, but it could use a dash more sodium. A good tip on Mac and cheese is to add some more cheese to give it an elastic presentation look. If it looks cheesy like that then you know it’s good. Good flavors coming from it tho. The eggs in the burrito was really silky, if they use cream or milk to cook with their eggs; they know what they are doing. The sauce added the savory flavor for the chicken. Atmosphere was clean and staff seem to be happy. I really think the burrito will provide a nice anchor for their business. There’s a rise on Nashville hot chicken and it’s gonna be everywhere but this burrito really makes a spotlight for this cluck n blaze.
We ordered takeout for Christmas Eve and we're thoroughly pleased with the food. Additionally the staff was friendly and attentive when we went to pick it up despite how incredibly busy they are. But being busy is good because it shows you how many people love this restaurant.
Best Chinese food in Long Beach area hands down, must try dishes are the salt and pepper pork chop, string beans and crispy tofu (trust me on the crispy tofu, it's SO GOOD I crave this). Good portions and a lot of people don't talk about their wine prices, good for a girls night! Pro tip come when Yamanaka is doing a shaved ice pop up their kakigori is better than ones I've had in Japan.
I ordered the Cashew Chicken lunch special and I was very satisfied with what I got. Very generous portions and it was very good. This is the first place that I've been in this part town that has the same quality like the Chinese restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley or L.A. I will be going back soon and try the other items on their menu. Staff was very helpful
BEST CHINESE! This is our go to place. It is difficult to find authentic chinese, and this place is sooo authentic. So if you know authentic chinese food, then you know that the portions are huge and they only sell the item alacart. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. I promise you will NOT be disappointed. We usualy get our food to go because its a little busy inside but the resturant is nice and welcoming and the service is great! ENJOY!
Okay.. I cant tell you about EA, but I can definitely give my stamp of approval for LV Seafood. I just went today for the first time, and it was some of the best Chinese food I have had from a restaurant in a long time. This will be my go to from now on. We ordered the salt and pepper pork chops, chicken fried rice, egg roll as appetizers, and shrimp chop suey. We got there right at opening and was greeted and seated immediately by June. He was very kind and attentive. I wanted to tell him thank you for the excellent food, but he was in the back by the time I left, so hopefully my tip said thank you. All of the staff I encountered were very nice. I will definitely be back. The food was so good , that I forgot to take pictures beforehand, so I made a video, but once I got home I realized it wasn't going to be good enough to post half eaten plates..but just take my word for it..It was delicious..Lol
Friendly staff. The older lady who took my order was friendly and even came outside to give me my takeout order. I was still eating my shaved ice and meant to pick up inside too. What I got was the triple fried rice and it was so good. I've had so many disappointing and dry fried rice dishes in the past from other restaurants but the fried rice here I highly recommend. It's highly flavorful, the ingredients were good, and just the right amount of oil fried rice should have. Prices are a bit on the high side, spent about ~$18 for the fried rice which includes the tax too, but was worth it. I originally came for the Yamanaka shaved ice pop up. They seem to be there sometimes, I reserved ahead of time on Instagram. Easier to sit outside and eat with the shaved ice because table seating can be confusing with actual restaurant customers (unless you're a customer of the restaurant itself too). There's seats and benches outside and a table and it's relatively chill. I got the peach yuzu and I liked it a lot. Also if you're lactose intolerant bring some lactase. They do offer lactaid at 75 cents apiece if you're not prepared. For me there wasn't too much dairy, it had whipped cream. I was prepared for a lot more dairy 😂 Anyway would come back someday. Also the cost of what I got at regular size was about ~$14. They had extra toppings for about a buck more. The regular size can serve 1 or 2 people, it's not too big.
Food was really good and comforting. Restaurant is very clean, doesn’t smell like typical Chinese restaurant. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner, so there was no wait and the food came out quick! Service was great, attentive and friendly. Favorite dishes: house special fried rice & salt and pepper pork chop
We ordered Crab Rangoon as an appetizer. It was perfectly fried but lacked enough crab. We shared the house fried rice, kung pao chicken and kung pao shrimp for dinner. You can request any kung pao dish to be medium hot, spicy and extra spicy. We went with extra spicy and were not disappointed. You won’t be disappointed with the portion sizes.
My first time here let me first start out they definitely make your food fresh there can be a bit wait but they literally gave us a free Mac & cheese for the wait the food is perfectly made & delicious but I will say they should add more flavor to the max & cheese it tasted kind of plain but other than that great customer service! They were really nice and gave us recommendations! I am definitely going back to try other flavors of spice ! Loved it ! Plus that sauce is BOMB !
I was super impressed with the changes that have been made since I was here last (grand opening week). Both the aesthetics of the location and the quality of the food have dramatically improved. I got the Side Chick Combo with Mac & Cheese. They let you choose different spice levels for each of the sliders. I chose medium and hot. The heat on the hot was perfect. It was not too hot to enjoy but also hot enough to get my nose running. The buns used on the sliders were very pillowy and buttery. The slaw and the pickles were perfect. The mac & cheese was super creamy and not mushy. Super impressed all the way around and I won't wait so long next time to make me way back.
They live up to the name! Chicken was blazing lol. It was overall really good. I got the main chick combo. Comes with the sandwich and a side. Tots were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside! Same for the chicken sandwich! Also got the “you can do better” mild rub. Banana pudding was gas money! Awesome customer service on top of it all! Thanks guys! Definitely will come again!
The staff was pretty nice, fast service in my opinion. I had the " the side chick" it was okay I wasn't a big fan but my brother liked his "the main chick" they have different type of spicy. Nice place 👌 nothing bad to say. Bathrooms available.
A sandwich with more heat than taste. Upon first bite the initial taste was the sauce on the chew then the flavor of the chicken was slowly introduced until quickly overwhelmed by the heat slap to the taste buds. The taste of the chili spice's heat immediately engulfs your mouth and you'll be in need of a drink to quell it. Overall if you're into a 70:30 ratio of heat to flavor sandwiches, this is the spot. You can also ask for a tot and fry mixture if you can't make a choice between spud presentation as well. The staff was friendly and the dining area was pretty clean. There's only one restroom so you may be waiting if the restaurant is crowded. Went during the 8:00pm hour and the wait for one sandwich was around 30-45 minutes as they were dealing with a backlog of delivery orders and a line of 10 people which some customers left due to not wanting to wait that long for their order.
I ordered The Side Chick Combo (mild) today. The sandwich wasn't bad, although it wasn't as flavorful as I remember. Seasoned fries also came with my sandwich. Prices have gone up, but I guess that's the norm everywhere. There wasn't a line when I came in, and I received my food pretty quickly. This location is open until 9 pm, but call ahead to confirm in case hours change.
I recently visited LV Seafood Restaurant and had a great overall experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, and Salt & Pepper Fish, and all three dishes were excellent. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was perfectly crisp, creamy, and sweet, with a generous portion of shrimp. The Kung Pao Chicken had bold flavor with just the right amount of heat—well balanced and satisfying. The Salt & Pepper Fish was crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were generous, and everything was served fresh and hot. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a good meal. I would definitely come back to try more dishes and highly recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys flavorful Chinese cuisine.
I've been coming here for a couple of years now. The food is delicious 😋 But the customer service is not. It takes a while to get your food. You don't get everything at once. The other thing that I dislike so much about this place is that the employees come over to your table over and over to try to rush you out. Literally, one time the employee said, "ok your done ready to go". This past Saturday that I was there they kept coming over and rushing us. I had to tell them with a firm tone of voice we are not ready to leave and we are still eating. Such good food but bad customer service/manners.
Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how full the dining room was — always a good sign. The vibe was classic and nostalgic: red carpets, framed press clippings, a very cash-blessed Buddha at the entrance, and servers who move with the quiet efficiency of a place that’s been doing this right for decades. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and the fried pork chops with jalapeños — both excellent. The noodles were perfectly chewy with a subtle smoky wok flavor, not too oily, and generous with chicken and vegetables. The pork chops were addictive — crispy on the outside, tender inside, with just the right kick from the jalapeños. Service was kind and fast. Portions were generous. Prices reasonable. There’s something reassuring about a restaurant that isn’t trying to be trendy — just consistently good. Would absolutely come back. Next time, I’m bringing more people so we can order half the menu.
The lady in the counter was kinda rude when I wanted to replace the number that they would notify when my food is ready. She didn’t even verify after, but oh well, I guess she just doesn’t care that much, her customer service was probably was like a one time thing, nvm I dont want to judge. Food is great, its soo good. Would definitely go higher with the heat, medium is like mild for me, so def go higher with your spice! Would come back but the lady in counter was just not for me, hopefully you get a better cashier that is not rude. -2 stars just b/c of her. Food is a 4/5, customer service 2/5.
2nd time coming here. First time was awesome- everything was great. This time around, complete opposite. The food is not consistent, we ordered the same thing as last time except different rice dish. The pork chops- super salty, orange beef super sweet, and the green beans had way too much thick sauce- making the dish overwhelming. Wished it was the same as the first time around.
We have visited this establishment before and can attest that the chicken quality has declined, as it now tastes like frozen chicken, a notable difference from our previous experiences. The Main Chick and Cluckin’ Mac we ordered were not satisfactory. The sandwiches were warm and lacked freshness. The French fries were excessively salty. My husband's tater tots were cold and chicken-free, consisting of mere crumbs. The experience fell short. The only satisfying experience was watching the NFL draft 2025.
One of the few places open for Christmas dinner when I was in town. The spice level was decent, but the chicken was very greasy, even as fried chicken goes. Everything felt greasy and heavy. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.
I use to come here for years, chicken is amazing like always, as you know the crew workers change from but recently the crew workers seems are not happy and they commit to start the closing procedure too early from closing hours which feels uncomfortable cleaning up while customers are dining and eating like 3 hours from closing time that is not professional with the smell of cleaning products
Everything was good but please make sure about the how many pound you want. Otherwise they will give you 4 pound crab for 2 prison and it will be 100+ dollars. Only crab. We order other things and it will not worth it. It’s bad experience for us. Now we know we have to tell before the order. Also they need to ask before how many pound you want. They not ask us how many pound we want? So this is too much.
I was disappointed with the food quality from this place. I ordered Wor Wonton Soup and a few other items, and though they said it would take 25 minutes, that was fine. However, when I got home, I found a soup with chicken, pork, two shrimp, and no wontons. The chicken chow mein had more noodles than actual chicken and carrots, which was frustrating.
We have been coming here for years and really enjoyed it until recently. We were seated and it took a while for them to get our drinks which was fine at first. Then they took a while to take our order. A few tables (larger and smaller) were seated way after us and began getting their plates out fast. We had barely gotten one plate out and would only get one at a time. We asked the waitress and she seemed annoyed that we asked about a dish that was clearly forgotten about. At the end, they gave our bill quickly trying to get us to sign quick when we noticed the tip added by writing already. We always tip great since the staff before were amazing! However, this time I saw none of those people and the new waitress was rude, slow, and dismissive. We asked why the tip was added and she said it was a “new” policy which we were not told about. When we brought this to her attention she then said she told my dad which was no true since we were right there and she NEVER mentioned it. I assume she thought he didn’t understand English but he replied telling her no she did not state that. Worst service ever, she was angry at the end asking “WHAT? NO TIP??!” And rolled her eyes at us. Tip is earned. If your service is poor and you are rude to us, don’t expect anything. We would happily give it to someone who does deserve it and we were clearly being skipped on purpose.
Had this place on my list of places to go for some time, finally went last weekend but had the strangest and concerning experience here. Food was very good but here comes my gripes: 1. Got in around 2pm on a Saturday but was not offered a Lunch Special menu 2. Ordered our food and server brought us our soup and served 3 bowls. After I was done cooling down my babies bowl, with spoon full in hand reaching toward by daughter, the server came back and snatched my daughter’s and I’s bowls from said “I brought the wrong soup” and took it. 3. Ok, he will correct the issue and bring a new soup right? Wrong! He took the soup from us, a few tables down and handed it to a couple. Took their soup and brought it back to us. What?!?! No fresh soup? Did the couple pick at our soup? Because we had on the one the server took back to them. 4. When it came to entree, it took really long to arrive after the soup had already come. We followed up, then server seemed lost and tried giving our food to another table. When they dropped off our orange chicken, I had to remind them we were still waiting on lo mein. 5. No one ever checked up on us or brought up the mistakes. Waited some time for the check. So, I wanted to love this place, and the food was good, but too many quirks, no excuse for food mishap and not being offered lunch menus. My girlfriend was not fond of the experience either. Unfortunate, we won’t be back.
