The Cobb salad, service, and view were very nice

The Vue captures it name perfectly. It has a retro mid century modern design with a panoramic view of Long Beach and the surrounding region. It is also great for watching aircraft at Long Beach airport and has a lively atmosphere. The dinner menu was limited and was heavy on the seafood selections. While there are beef choices there were no chicken entrees. There are salads as well. Happy hour is Monday through Friday and has a good selection at a reasonable price. On the downside there is construction and finding parking was a problem. They had live music which made normal conversation nearly impossible, even when seated at the opposite end of the restaurant.

Highly recommend. Despite the fact the restaurant is currently undergoing a transition, Gibson still delivered first class service waiting on tables and tending the bar. I can hardly wait to see the new menu; I’ll definitely be coming back!

Kam was a super super helpful bottle girl!! She was so nice & made the environment 10x more fun. My whole party loved Kam and she made us want to come back again! She also gave us great recs for our plans in Seattle in general. Love Kam!!

My husband and I decided to have drinks at the VUE Bar. We stopped in and the waitress was very attentive and the ambiance was a treat. They even had a some live entertainment which was a pleasant surprise, the singer had an awesome voice. Also our drinks were not stingy with the alcohol lol!! We'll be back soon.

This was my first time at VUE, and the rooftop was definitely a vibe. I came for a birthday party, and the private room was intimate and perfect for a group of about 50 people. However, they were clearly understaffed, which led to long wait times for both food and drinks. We arrived pretty hungry, so the delay was noticeable. The bartender, Collie, seemed overwhelmed and unfortunately got our order wrong. We ordered the asada fries with no cheese, but they came out covered in cheese. Due to dietary restrictions, I couldn’t eat them. I had already taken a few bites and started feeling sick, which was frustrating. When I returned to the bar to address the issue, I felt brushed off, so I asked to speak with a manager. Jasmine (the manager) was amazing. She listened, was kind, patient, and very apologetic. She refunded my order and made the situation right. Because of her professionalism, I would definitely consider coming back. For reference, our total came out to a little over $82. We ordered the half chicken with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies, an Old Fashioned, a rum and pineapple, and the asada fries. Overall, the rooftop atmosphere and private space were great for celebrations. I just hope the staffing improves so others don’t experience the same issues we had.

This place is amazing. The view is spectacular. The food portions are great and the prices are fair. There’s also “Plato” the robot who brings your food to your table which is a fun experience! Our waiter was Miguel and he was also the bartender! He was the best!!

We had a private event with appetizers and an open bar in the private dinning room and all of our guest were very pleased with the ambience, food, and service. We will be coming back soon!

Had a breakfast buffet in here; the food is like any other place to be honest but the experience is unique. Just did not find anyone in the front and did not want to be rude and sit directly on the table so i had to stand there for about 5 minutes and then I just went in.

Very nice restaurant/bar on top of the 13 story Holiday Inn. We arrived late in the evening, the view of Long Beach was nice but I want to return to see the view with daylight. The wait staff and bartender were friendly and amusing. The food was pretty good, it surprised me. There was creativity displayed with the cooking to raise it above "standard fare" , I really liked the gumbo and the apple pie a la mode. The prices were a bit on the high side but I have no complaints with the quality of the dishes/cooking and the quantity of food was good as well. If I lived closer, it would be on my "go to" list when deciding where to dine out.

Best view in Long Beach (top floor of the hotel). Not many people there, so service was fast. Bartender made solid cocktails and made us feel extremely welcome. Kind of a nice secret in an unassuming part of LB. Go if your flight is delayed, or you're getting a trophy made across the street.

At a glance it doesn't seem like much from the outside. In fact, I did not know about this place until I went to a Yelp event here. It is a bit bigger than what it seems from far away. NO, you don't have to be staying at the hotel in order to dine in. You just need to park and take the elevator from the hotel lobby all the way up.The food itself is  delicious. However, make sure to bring some money because this restaurant is not just some old wanna be restaurant. The food is great though: definitely recommend the  fried calamari(average price). The pricing as stated before, so not cheap, however, some of the things are very reasonable with today's market. The staff is great. They make sure to make you know that you've been noticed since you enter their restaurant and it feels like a laid back type of restaurant. The place is clean and their bathrooms even have mouthwash HA! Would definitely return and you should check them out yourselves and then follow our instagram travel vlogs @thehungrynomadz

Came for lunch around 1 and it was nearly empty which was fine given it is a hotel restaurant. Burger and fries were decent enough but really can only recommend this place for the view and upscale feel of this bar. Complimentary mouth wash in men's restroom is a nice touch.

The VUE bar and restaurant has awesome views looking out over Long Beach from LB airport to Signal Hill and out to the beach. They have a great happy hour menu of both drinks and appetizers wine, beer and well drinks. The staff is helpful and friendly and was attentive thorough and made a good experience.

Went here for my Birthday 🎂 with my Wife. We had a great time, atmosphere was nice and quant, view of the airport 🛫 and surrounding Long Beach. Wife and I shared a Steak which was cooked very well & was sooo tasty. We would go back again!!

Excellent view, food was average. Rooms are dated & not anything special. Service was good, but I only ordered carry out, so perhaps a dine in experience would be a better review 🤔 next time. Travel well. 😀

The View was great and the atmosphere is Chill. the bar lighting is a great enhancement for the view that is offered. The drinks the drinks are kind of expensive I had a Bailey's and coffee and it was twelve bucks the side dishes are kind of expensive two sliders for 12 bucks and they were tiny the macaroni bikes were good the sriracha sauce was bomb. The plate of salmon though was terrible and should have sent it back except for the fact that I didn't want my girl to be distracted for this dilemma. It was a try piece of salmon the potatoes were hard to even keep on my Fork they were so lumpy and dry the asparagus was $5 extra. $34 for this pathetic plate of food that I told them we were splitting so you think they add a little more presentation everything was microwaved and just throw it on a boring plate. No lemons on the side no tartar sauce nothing offered although I must say our server was attentive. I would recommend this place for the view and the drinks but not for the food.

There's been alot of changes the place looks really nice. I definitely recommend.. the view is awesome.. you can see the 🚅 landing.. the service was fabulous.. thanks Junior 👋 .. we had problems with the calamari.. I've had it here many times b4.. but this time we had to send it back twice..(I know, rule of thumb.. never send back 😏.. but we did)it kept coming back cold and we didn't like the way it was cooked .. somethings going on with the batter.. I do not recommend as of 11-22-18.. Junior worked with us with a smile.. ask for him.. 😊

2 servers were arguing in front of us when seating. Neither wanted to serve our party. Some of the food was good, some was super salty or bland. Drinks were really good, especially the lemon drop. We had mixed feelings about the waiter. I liked him, but the majority of the group said he had a bad attitude.

Attended a presentation. The place is nice. Ordered a glass of wine 6 oz which I found pricey at $19. It was $8 from wine list I saw. Told the bar tender and replied everything is up. Price for drinks compared to other establishment is higher. Nice view but not going back. First time at the place.

$24 dollars for Fish and Chips! The fish seems like it was frozen. The chips were potato chips not actual fries.

Seems like an odd choice to serve waffles but not maple syrup. Agave is all you get. Yuck! Otherwise the food and is just okay. Service...i guess they could have been more sympathetic when I asked about the syrup.

The bread in the pasta was just normal white loaf bread. Prices are exorbitant and you dont get enough food nor does it taste as good as you would expect for the price. I went on a double date with one of my coworkers. We got there it took a while before we were able to order our drinks. By the time we were ready to order the waiter was no where to be found. Finally we where able order. My friend and her husband got there food before we did. My husband and I didn't get our food until 30mins later they where all done with there food and we were still waiting for ours. Very bad service the waiter kept blaming the cooks for the delay of our food. I asked to speak with the Manager and another waiter named Miguel came to our table he honestly didn't look like a manager he looked like another waiter. He just bullshited us and told us sorry and gave us free cake. I didn't get to really enjoy my food. Very disappointed. Our bill was almost $200 it was not worth that especially when we didn't get good customer service.

The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant, happened to be at this awful establishment on Christmas morning. Ordered pancakes, which I thought would be pretty simple, but turned out it is hard to cook them. They came out smelling like batter. After examining them, I was able to peel-in-half to see the inside not even remotely cooked. I politely realized the mistake and asked for some new ones hoping for a change, but boy was I wrong! After the waiter gave me the look of, "Stop being a baby and eat the batter-cakes", he brought me out a new set of nice and much warmer pancakes. My hunger was really setting in at this point and as I was biting, right before that first grip of pancake with my teeth, I recalled such a familiar smell, the batter. The chef or whatever you could call someone with these pancake skills definitely needed to be removed from their duties. My family went again the following year only to give me bad stories after I refused to ever go there again. If I ever go back there it is only under the assumption I won't be charged and I get to make my own food.

When my dinner arrived I was told “careful, hot plate”. And while the plate may have been somewhat warm, the potatoes and vegetables were cold and the steak lukewarm. The windows surrounding the restaurant were filthy. I stayed here many, many years ago and thought I’d try it again for a night as I passed through town as this place was really nice with great food. . . . Today, not so much.

I just had the steak sandwich returned twice, worst I ever had. Did not even finished it
