Opinions de Manducatis Rustica Long Island City
Simply one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. The food is always amazing and I go once a week minimum. Service is impeccable. The bar is always lively especially when Ash is working. Best chicken parm in NYC!!! Can’t recommend highly enough!
Just hosted an 80th birthday party here and man, I cannot speak more highly of the entire experience and team here. Start to finish, everything was fantastic. Lovely custom-planning the menu with Gianna (and they did a great job accommodating vegans and vegetarians), to flawless execution. The event was supposed to be in the (very charming) backyard but there was a total downpour, so they set us up in the (kinda fun, old world charm) inside room. When you’re throwing a party for 30-40 people, to have the service be able both anticipate nearly every need and be responsive to new ones as they arose was just amazing. So accommodating, so easy to work with, and so friendly. And the food! I’ve of course been here before but honestly it was better than I expected — and plentiful (the heaps of fresh scallion on the sea bass was simple but stupendous). Appetizers, salads, meat & cheese board, pasta, mains, and dessert for quite a reasonable price. Also, I don’t know how they pulled a 12/10 carrot cake outta that kitchen, but they did. The experience was truly excellent. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, especially for a gathering / party.
They handled our large group well; the food was great, and the staff was very responsive and quick. I really enjoyed their outside patio area.
Absolutely stunning restaurant. So worth the trip to LIC. We had the Diablo pizza which was so flavorful and the dough was so soft and not chewy or tough at all. The burrata and tomato was fresh and light. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and soft, full of flavor. The tortellini was buttery, so creamy and delicious. I’m still thinking of the butter pecan gelato which is made by the owner’s son. The owner herself is so welcoming and effervescent. The wait staff were bright, cheery, helpful and attentive. Looking forward to going back.
This is our 2nd time coming here and it didn't fall short of excellent. The food is fresh and seasoned nicely, the staff are so friendly and homemade pasta how could you go wrong. A nice place to celebrate an anniversary especially with the outdoor patio. Our new spot even if its a 45 min drive away. We'll worth it.
Have been to this location multiple times now, always a wonderful experience! The owner is so humble and kind; on Valentine’s Day, we went home with a free bottle of gifted Prosecco! Desert is amazing; the pizza is divine. Highly recommend and the prices are very reasonable for the NYC area.
The pastas and salads are solid bets—especially the a la vodka. If the weather is nice, there’s pretty outdoor seating in the back. Staff is attentive and doesn’t rush you out.
Temporarily suspending my rule that I have to visit to a place twice before reviewing it because this restaurant treated us so nicely on Valentine's Day. Unexpected treats waited at the table (free of charge), along with custom decor and a special playlist. I was a little worried that the iPad menu didn't list prices, but everything turned out to be reasonably priced and delicious. The olive oil was smooth and tasted wonderful with the bread basket. I was actually so excited to have good olive oil that I accidentally oiled myself trying to pour more of it. The pizza was incredible, especially when it's hot. The cheese was chewy and creamy, the sauce was tangy and sweet, and the crust was seasoned with something salty (perhaps, actual salt) that took it to the next level. I've been reviewing pizza for about three years at this point, and I've never had crust like that. Anyway, I broke my rule and reviewed Manducatis Rustica after only one visit, but I will definitely be coming back :)
Simply the best! The food is fabulous but the staff is better! So family friendly or high end or garden eats! Thanks for always treating us like family! We always walk away saying it’s the best meal and just a lovely time.
Always delicious, courtesy of Mama G! Outdoor dining is gorgeous and the food is always on point. Great bottles of wine too to get us all through the year! Can't wait for indoor dining to be back but their takeout and outdoor seats are a lifesaver for now.. Don't miss out on their pizzas and pastas. One of my faves in LIC!!
Life took me away from LIC, and yesterday I made it back, and now I can’t imagine letting it go so long ever again! I had family visiting from out of town, so of course I had to bring them to the best place, and I was not disappointed. The food is ridiculously good. We started with the Beets with Goat Cheese and Burrata with Focaccia…YUM!! For dinner I chose the Ricotta Gnocchi, it was beyond delicious! I can go on and on. I will be returning soon!
I felt compelled to write this review, first restaurant review for me. Great experience, charismatic owner, make certain to engage her. All food was great. Why I am writing this is I love pizza, but have not been able to eat it for years, the gluten in pizza make me ill, even though i am not gluten intolerant with any other foods. I have missed it. In talking to the owner she explained how her flour and process is different. She was so convincing I ordered and ate one of the best pizzas ever, the crust was clearly unique. Later I waited for the pain to start. It never did. The whole experience of this restaurant is what we all want a neighborhood restaurant to be. I live 2 hours from LIC but it is now in my neighborhood when possible.
I hosted a surprise shower for my sister last night at Manducatis Rustica! I am so happy I chose to have it at this restaurant! The entire staff delivered amazing service, they took care of anything we needed. The outdoor patio space was beautiful! the food speaks for itself, it's outstanding! I will definitely be going back soon! Everyone keeps raving about the party at Manducatis Rustica!
Great spot for delicious Italian! Very nice outdoor patio. Pup friendly. Great pasta and a good wine list. Fantastic desert as well. We love their gelato!
If you want authentic Italian Mamma G has you covered! There are 4 areas to the restaurant so choose your night! On the left side you enter through the Gelateria to the dining area of the restaurant. On the right you enter through the lively and laid back bar area called Rustica, it is closed off from the restaurant so everyone can enjoy the night they want undisturbed You can proceed to a quiet dining room, or the quiet outdoor garden in the back. There is something for everyone on the menu and if not they are bound to know how to make your favorite dish if you ask :) If you find yourself having dinner in the restaurant , it’s the best chicken parm I have ever had and there are many other good items too If you’re looking for a great place to catch a Sunday football game, the attached bar , Rustica, is perfect! Ashling is a great bartender, your drink won’t go empty on her watch.
10/10 restaurant, the pizza that they had was amazing, really really delicious food and the customer service was great, definitely recommended going.
Amazing attentive service ; fresh delicious food .. ample portions and great prices. A must try. Family Vibe .. delicious dessert. Will be back. Thank you !
Honestly, what a perfect spot. Hospitality was very warm - Gianna was a delight, and the wider team were sweet and effective. Food was consistently excellent. Burrata with pancetta crisp and tomatoes was great. Formaggi al tartufo a delightful addition. Pizza had well flavoured dough and good chew, and can you ever go wrong with spicy sausage and mike's hot honey? Bolognese was flavoursome and had perfectly al dente pasta. Gnocchi was legitimately some of the best I've had - toe to toe with any of the best I've eaten in Italy itself. God bless whoever is stuck hand stuffing with ricotta, but totally worth it. Home made rum and raisin gelato was a welcome way to cap it off. Wine list broad and well judged - a lot of great value in the 50-80 mark, and well priced choices in the 150-250 range. Something for everyone, including some sensibly priced top tier producers. Fleetwood mac and Sinatra on the playlist. Just the right feel for a relaxed Sunday evening meal. Will most certainly head back in the future, and interested to try the original restaurant too. All in, 3 courses with very good wine and a good tip, ~120 bucks. You could certainly have a great meal here for less too.
I can't say enough about how great Manducatis Rustica is. We had a large group dinner here and the staff and chef were so accommodating to all dietary needs (I am gluten free and they had plenty of options!). They have a fabulous pre fixe menu with a lot of variety and we were surprised by how much food came with it, we definitely left stuffed! Loved the wine selections as well. The back patio is beautiful. Definitely a must-visit in Long Island City and worth making the visit out from Manhattan. Thanks Gianna and team!
This place is a hidden gem. The food exceeded my expectations from each dish that I had, from the burrito appetizer, to the chicken parm and the veal bolognese the food was cooked to perfection. Additionally, the service was great and the owner Gianna was extremely nice and very accommodating. She made great wine recommendations and provided some limoncello shots at the end of the evening to top off a great meal. I highly recommend making this place a stop on your journey through LIC as it'd simply a great experience.
We recently celebrated our child's baptism at Manducatis Rustica, and it was nothing short of perfect. The owners went above and beyond, treating us like family and helping us organize a last-minute celebration. They even assisted with the decorations, which complemented the restaurant’s charming rustic style, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The venue is absolutely stunning, with its cozy, rustic decor that made the space feel both elegant and comfortable. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly for our guests. As parents of a toddler who loves to run around, we truly appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere – it was perfect for our little one and gave us peace of mind throughout the day. The food was simply amazing. Each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared, leaving our guests raving about the meal. The quality and authenticity of the dishes made the dining experience unforgettable. Manducatis Rustica exceeded all our expectations and made our celebration so special. From the rustic charm of the space to the owners' hands-on approach in helping with decorations, every detail was perfect. If you're looking for a venue for a special event or just want to enjoy an incredible meal in a cozy, welcoming setting, this is the place to be. Huge thanks to the owners and staff for making our day so memorable!
10/10 some of the best italian food I’ve had! We ordered the grilled octopus, pappardelle, and chicken parm. Everything was cooked perfectly. For dessert we grabbed a slice of limoncello cheesecake which was to die for. Will definitely be back!
Great ravioli and chicken parm. The gelato is also delicious - we had pistachio and biscotti, per staff recommendation. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, even for just a takeout order.
During a recent stay in Long Island City, I had the pleasure of dining at Manducatis Rustica. The restaurant exudes a warm, homey atmosphere and serves hearty, traditional Italian dishes. The pasta is freshly made, with authentic flavors reminiscent of a small village in Italy. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a vibe that feels like dining with family. It’s a wonderful spot for a relaxed meal featuring classic Italian comfort food.
Such a great hidden gem in the neighborhood! We’ve done family dinners here and the gelato counter is such a great bonus for those in the know. Giovani the pizza chef is great and welcoming when we come in for gelato.
Born and raised in the neighbood and happy to have stumbled upon this place - friendly people, good service, and solid food. Gio does a good job with the Pizza. Highly recommend!
I had the opportunity to eat here as part of a group when I was recently visiting New York. The ambiance is great with a beautiful patio. The food is excellent including the gelato. The staff did a terrific job especially given the size of the group.
Great italian food. Ambience is very lovely and welcoming. Service is attentive. Portion size is large. The two of us ordered what we thought could barely fill two empty stomachs based off of our dining experiences in New York and ended up not being able to finish everything. We still tried our best though, because the food was delicious
Went with some family and had a wonderful experience. The waitstaff was very patient and kind. The food was delicious and came rather quickly. I had the bolognese which was delicious and was the perfect portion. There was live music at the bar that made the experience even better. Would 100% recommend as nice night with family or friends.
best italian restaurant ive been to in Long Island City…. delightful watermelon 🍉 salad, delicious artichoke pizza. best dessert pistachio angel food cake 🍰!!! Molly is a wonderful bartender go here now!!
I can not begin to explain how amazing the food is at Manducatis Rustica. Chicken with vinegar and peppers, bolognese, and the pizzas are just a few of my favorites. The owner Gianna and the restaurant have been a staple in my family's life since it opened. Most importantly, whether she has known you since you were born, or you just walked through her doors for the first time...you will be treated like family. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this wonderful dining experience!
We had a family party to celebrate 3 different decade birthdays. They were so accommodating and made the evening special for the 28 of us. The food was delicious and the staff so warm and attentive…it was so special. The little kids could move around and it wasn’t a problem. The house wines were very good and the food was abundant and delicious. Going back for a more intimate dining experience. Thanks so much for a beautiful evening. Linda Mitchell
Manducatis Rustica is hands down our favorite Italian restaurant! They are always incredibly accommodating and kind to my entire family, especially my kids. My children absolutely love watching the pizza being made, and finishing the meal with one of their homemade gelatos is always a special treat. For me, every meal has been a delight—delicious, authentic Italian cuisine perfectly complemented by their house wine. It’s the perfect spot for family dinners, celebrations, or just a cozy night out. Manducatis Rustica is truly a Long Island City staple, and I will continue to support them wholeheartedly. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a real treasure!
The experience in the restaurant was amazing and the environment was awesome. I ordered a margarita pizza it was phenomenal hats off to the chef… Giovanni was great!
I absolutely love this place! If you want to just come in for some gelato, or have a fine dining experience, this is the place to come to in Long Island City! I have had the pleasure of enjoying both experiences and I will have to give this spot a solid A. Staff is great, food feels homey with a pretty presentation, and I personally love the decor. I've already made my rounds here before, but it is a place I'd happily go back to any time. Tip: I'd recommend having a date night here!
Had a great time today, one of the best Pizzas I've ever had in the city! Great Service and you can tell the chef knows his Pizza since you take the first bite
The food was truly delicious; I loved it. I want to thank Giovanni for the recommendations and his professionalism, the impeccable service, and the great atmosphere at the place. A 10 out of 10—I will definitely return. Grazie, ragazzo.
This meal was one of the best Italian dinners I’ve ever had. The Caesar had very thin and yet flavorful croutons and a delicious, light lemon forward dressing. It was excellent. My date and I shared the Gnocchi and it was outstanding. The bolognese(yes I had two different pastas, haha) also as excellent. I tried my date’s steak and it was one of the best tasting things I ever had. The service was top notch, as they were on top of everything. I will definitely be going back. :)
Amazing place to pick up pizza! Giovanni had mine ready in about 5 minutes and I'm now enjoying it on the LIC waterfront.
Great service with a cozy atmosphere as well. We enjoyed top notch pasta dishes as well as award winning eggplant. The desserts were really good as well and I highly recommend the gelato.
This is the best place in New York☀️My absolute favorite. It's so cozy and welcoming. You're greeted as if you're a family member, which creates such a warm atmosphere🪴The interior with vintage details and a fireplace is simply enchanting: soft lighting, warm tones, and friendly staff create an atmosphere of comfort and hospitality✨The menu delighted with a variety of dishes, the taste of each of which transports you to Italy. Fresh ingredients and homemade family recipes, which give the dishes a unique flavor, were particularly memorable. The portions were exceptionally generous. And the tastiest ice cream there! Thank you so much to those involved in creating such an amazing place🙏It's a place you want to return to again and again, like visiting old good friends ♥️
Great Italian food. Wonderful staff and warm cozy feeling
Best pizza ever!!! The workers were also very nice!
Came for a quick lunch after work. We were all in a rush but we were very pleased with the food. We had an amazing chicken parmigiana and calamari. Would definitely come back
Always the best meal, never disappoints - eggplant rollatini, pizza, pasta bolognese, chicken and vinegar peppers, fresh gelato, the list goes on. We’ve had both dinner and private events at Manducatis Rustica, guests loved every minute. The staff makes you feel at home and the owner is amazing. Worth the 45 minute drive for us!
Manducatis is a great Italian spot in Long Island City. It’s located on a nice strip on Vernon Blvd that is nice to walk up and down. It’s probably the last good spot north on Vernon Blvd. It’s unique in that it has a walk in sit down area, a bar area, and a nice fine dining area. Not many places have this but it works very well. You can order many different types of Italian cuisine and let me tell you. It comes out good. The pasta is done al dente. The sauces are great. The octopus is actually better than any Greek spot I have had in Astoria. That says a lot. You should get it every time. The Burrata is to die for. Warm bread and cheese. The mozzarella cheese just gushes when cut.
Leave Manhattan and head to Long Island City (Queens) and take the cannolis! This is a classic Italian treat! Forget the menu and let chef and owner “Momma G” just cook. From the calamari to the prosciutto to the gnocchi to the Bolognese sauce to the ravioli to the gelato...all you will say is “momma Mia” and “wow”!!! And “yes”, the service is as great as the food!
This place is awesome! Good food, good portions and excellent service. My sister celebrated her wedding there and the little patio is absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful garden, delicious foods, excellent service. We just celebrated small gender reveal in there, and the owner or management were so kind and sweet to let us use the backyard for quick gender reveal cake cutting. The food was excellent. The octopus in the appetizer was so good. 100%, it became our beautiful memory.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in LIC. There’s a bar up front and table seating for the restaurant in the back along with a backyard outdoor space that’s open during the warmer months. They serve up classic Italian dishes with a classy decor. We had the grilled octopus, grilled branzino, and rigatoni with meatballs. Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back here often and I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Bon appetit!
Had a great dining experience on a Wednesday night in Aug. We (party of 5) sat in the garden area and you not know you are in Queens. The charcuterie board in the focaccia bread were fantastic as appetizers. Everybody enjoyed their meals, including steak, fish, and the chicken Parmesan. The gelato, tiramisu, and lemon cake were also awesome. The serving staff were super friendly and knew their way around the wine menu (great Italian wine selection) I wish I had this restaurant in my neighborhood!
Felt very homey. Very nice ambiance. They had a huge party in the back and were very busy in the dining rooms. They were quick, attentive and simple. The magnetita was delicious and most of the pastas are homemade. The sauce ooof the sauce was amazing and deliciously fresh.
We went here for a Valentines Day dinner and it was nothing short of special. The owner puts together an incredible experience for the holiday, and it speaks to the quality, care and pride that she takes in delivering authentic & delicious southern Italian food. Live music on the piano, original pieces. Fantastic service. And the homemade gelato was the star of the show. So good we had to get one more scoop to go on the way out. We will be back!
Had my friend’s baby shower in their gorgeous backyard. Everything was perfection. The food, service, and vibe was even better than what I’d imagined. And reasonably priced for the area. Highly recommend for events. Or even just a dinner too. Their penne vodka is my favorite.
I just had my birthday there and we had a party of 25. EVERYONE loved the food!! They had pizza , and salad, penne alla vodka, and their choice of fish or chicken ! Everything was incredible ! I had requested to use the outside patio and it was set up so beautiful and just perfect for me and my party. I had the most amazing day here ! Thank you Gianna !
We stumbled across this very homey and cute place…the service was very welcoming and quick. Food was delicious. It is a great date night spot. Highly recommend ! Thanks Giovanni !
Had a lovely meal here on our last night in long island. Had the rustica board for 2 ( more like for 4). Followed by the meat lovers pizza. Thin crispy base, loved the garlic oil. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for an authentic Italian meal. When we make the flight from Scotland again, we will most definitely be back. Thank you.
amazing experience. My wife and I had made a reservation here for Valentine’s Day. Upon arrival we learned it was for the following day mistakenly. The owner Gianna was so pleasant and understanding. While the restaurant was fully booked, she was nice enough to work with us and find a suitable table. Not only was she and the rest of the staff accommodating but we also had one of the best Italian dinners in a while. The chicken parm was cooked to perfection. The clams were fresh as if it came straight from the ocean. And the bolognese might have been the most flavorful I’ve ever had. If I could rate this place a 6 out of 5 I would!
We have eaten here in person and ordered here many times over the last 10 years and the food and service is always exceptional. Bar none my favorite restaurant in LIC and a real gem on Vernon Blvd. Big shout out to the pizza chef Giovanni - he makes the pizza here and the pizza pies are AWESOME, the best pizza in LIC/Astoria area!
Manducatis Rustica VIG is one of those places that just gets it right every time. The whole place has that warm, neighborhood feel that’s hard to find. Just as memorable as the meal is the hospitality. Gianna is always welcoming and makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The food is fantastic, classic Italian dishes, well made, no gimmicks. And the sauce is honestly the star for me. I’ve had it on a few different dishes and it’s consistently delicious.
Italian food like it should be - everything so fresh and that home cooked taste! From the bread to all the vegetarian options 💚 and my favorite tequila and red wine 🍷 Can’t wait to go back !
This restaurant is amazing! From start to finish, the staff was accommodating, attentive, and very friendly. We opted for a family-style meal for about 20 people, and I can’t express how much it exceeded our expectations. The chef's passion for her food is evident, and the dishes are simply unbelievable. I had the most amazing salad I’ve ever tasted in my life. I will definitely be going back again!
This was one of the worst weeks of my life. I ordered a GLUTEN FREE diavola pizza and broccoli rabe from here not expecting anything special, but it was extremely excellent. The GF pizza dough appears to be home made with care, and not a miserable freezer burned hunk of starch. Thank you.
We hosted our wedding reception at Manducatis Rustica, and we truly could not recommend it highly enough. The food was absolutely delicious and memorable for all of our guests, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. From the moment we started planning, we worked with Gianna, who was an absolute dream. Having Gianna by your side is what I imagine having a fairy godmother would be like. She was warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful from day one — offering great advice, creative suggestions, and genuine care for every detail. In the weeks leading up to our big day, she communicated with us regularly to ensure she had a clear sense of our vision, and on the day itself, she made that vision come to life flawlessly. When we walked into the garden patio, it looked exactly as we had imagined — simply stunning. And when our bakery ran into unexpected delays with the wedding cake, Gianna handled the entire situation behind the scenes with grace and determination, taking on hours of stress and phone calls so that we could stay completely in the moment. Thanks to her, the cake arrived just in time, and we were able to have our cake-cutting moment without the stress. Manducatis Rustica will forever hold a special place in our hearts. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. We can’t wait to return to enjoy the food, reminisce, and celebrate future milestones.
We stopped in LIC/Queens overnight before flying on to London. A local recommended we walk to the waterfront, but halfway there we were tired, hot, and hungry, and in front of Manducatis. I can’t tell you how happy I am that we stopped here. It’s unassuming, just the right amount of kitsch, and the food was amazing! All the flour for pizza dough and bread products is semolina imported from Italy. Usually I feel pretty rough after eating pizza, but this was so clean and fresh I felt great. The pizza chef Giovanni came out to speak with us and obviously cares a great deal about the food he prepares. We had a chance to meet Giovanna the owner, and she was wonderful. She truly cares about providing excellent food that nourishes the body instead of harming it. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I wish I lived locally so I could eat here more often. Probably the best pizza I’ve had, including what I make from scratch. If you’re all about the food, eat here!!!
We had our daughter’s baptism lunch at Manducatis Rustica and it exceeded our expectations in all ways. Gianna was an absolute joy to work with and plan with - her and the team made it so easy, with beautiful menus and a gorgeous set up. The garden was gorgeous and the perfect place for a small party. And, of course, the food was incredible! All of our guests have been talking nonstop about how delicious the lunch was. People particularly loved the pasta with Mama G sauce, pizzas, chicken marsala, and the branzino oreganata. We would love to have more events here and will certainly recommend it to our friends in the neighborhood. Thank you for such a lovely day!
We decided to come here for a girl’s dinner and it did not disappoint! Everyone was so kind and helpful. The food was amazing. I’m a big eggplant girlie and their eggplant parm was perfect. They even accommodated my friend and made her a virgin espresso martini. Highly highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and great vibes!
A Hidden Gem in Long Island City: Manducatis Rustica If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in New York, look no further than Manducatis Rustica in Long Island City. We've been visiting this restaurant for years, and it has consistently delivered an outstanding experience that we cannot recommend highly enough. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a cozy Italian trattoria. The decor is charming, with rustic touches that make you feel right at home. But what truly sets Manducatis Rustica apart is the incredible hospitality of the staff. Every member of the team is genuinely friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. Now, let's talk about the food. Manducatis Rustica serves the best pizza in New York City, hands down. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with the freshest ingredients that burst with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of classic Margherita or prefer something a bit more adventurous, every slice is a piece of heaven. And let's not forget about the wine. During our last visit, we enjoyed an exquisite Italian wine that was simply out of this world. It complemented our meal beautifully and left a lasting impression—it's been a long time since we've had wine that good.Manducatis Rustica has truly become our favorite restaurant, and we find ourselves recommending it to everyone we know. This is not just a review—it's a heartfelt suggestion to anyone who appreciates great food, excellent wine, and a welcoming environment. Even if you just try the pizza, you’ll understand why we love this place so much. This is not a paid advertisement; it’s just a genuine recommendation from someone who appreciates quality. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
A local restaurant that makes you feel taken care of - the food is delicious and comforting, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. It's also a perfect place to hold an event. We had our baby shower in the backyard patio in the Spring. Even though it was a bit chillier than we wanted, the food, atmosphere and the care and attention from the staff made it a hit. Gianna was such a pleasure to work with - she's done a ton of these events so everything just felt easy. Our family and friends left the event so full and happy.
Food and service was great and really well priced. A 4 star review because there was a 2% service charge for credit cards on the bill that I did not see called out on the menu. Maybe I missed it but still unexpected. The tip suggestions also go off the total bill with tax included instead of just the subtotal of what we ordered. That just rubs me the wrong way.
We were invited to dinner here with some friends that seem to have dined here & was totally satisfied. As we sat & waited in betweenconversations I began to observe all the delicious plates of entrees entering the main seating area.......They each had a different appearance but good enuff to say. "I wonder what that is, it looks delicious"? Which I did at some point inquire. The menu was divine and had some of everything that I know would be delightful...Instead I chose the the chicken parm..Hubby had something with sausage which was great also...However my meal was a little too salty...I didn't really get the feeling of something I had never tasted..The chicken was really thin & crusted, not too tender... Just expected more.....Willing to try another meal I'm the future...
Good food, reasonably priced. Awesome backyard patio (during warmer months).
Food and vibes definitely great. We loved the outdoor garden seating. Food definitely 10/10, our favorite for the night would be the carbonara. Portion sizes are very shareable. So if you’re planning to get out and dine with your friends this is the place to go. Giving a 4 because during our visit it took a while for our orders to come. Service and staff is always excellent (it’s not my first time here). Staff are very nice and helpful.
Had early Mother’s Day dinner for my 85 YO mom for 7 of us and fairly easy to get an early dinner reservation Place was large and had a nice garden but we sat inside and staff was super pleasant and accommodating Calamari was perfect and most of the entrees were wonderful especially the Marsala chicken was the best as well as my filet of sole and daughters Buccatini although on the salty side along with the chicken parm but tolerable for the young adults The pizza however was ok as we ordered the one with prosciutto and funghi. I think it was missing a little more cheese and sauce and can be cooked slightly more for the crust but all else was delicious There was a lovely garden in back too that would be nice on a nice night out Was too full and would have loved dessert but will need to return again
Went to this restaurant with my sister last night. I've heard good things about this place but I had a disappointing experience, especially in terms of service. Food - ordered pizza, pasta bolognese and a salad. Absolutely nothing special - I've had pasta with a better tasting sauce for a half of the price. Pizza was alright, again - nothing special. Service - this is where I have the most complaints. First, there were too many servers in the restaurant and I had no idea who is going to come next to my table and bring food/drink/or bring the bill. Second, I noticed the photographs on the wall and I was curious about the connection about the photographer, Tony, and the restaurant. I started asking one of the servers about Tony and it felt like she wanted to run away from this conversation. I had to ask this server whether Tony knew the restaurant owners or if he was a family member - after 3-5 minutes she finally gave in and told me that Tony knew the restaurant owners. Third, not a single person said goodbye on our way out of a restaurant, even though we passed by a few workers from the restaurant in the back. Very strange when workers don't even say bye to customers. You have to do better if you want to have repeat business. As of now, I probably won't be back and I will never recommend this place to people I know.
Service was great! Food was okay. Long story short, the food was decent, but just a tad too cold. The Eggplant Rollatini tasted just fine. The sauce and cheese nothing special. The inside of the Rollatini was a bit too watery and cold. The Tartufo Pizza had a great blend of Bufala Mozzarella and truffle oil. The oil was not overwhelming - just enough to enhance the flavor. Unfortunately, the center of the pizza was a bit too cold. The Spaghetti alla Gianna was disappointing. I don’t mean to offend Mama G, but I’ve personally made red sauce on par with what was served. Overall decent food and great service. Not the best.
Wildly inconsistent food. I have ordered delivery a few times. First time was really bad. People kept telling me it’s good. I tried a 2nd time and was great. 3rd try was today and it was really not good. I doubt I’ll try again
Nice vibe. Old-school Italian place with brick exposed walls. Don’t get the pizza. We got two pies and both were not good. perhaps the pasta is better here - we saw a lot of families happy with big Italian orders so we might have just ordered the wrong thing and should’ve gone with other Italian food. Go to Roberta‘s for a good pizza instead. Nice servers!
We (Wife and I) didn’t even get to try the food because of the unpleasant service. As a local resident, we've always wanted to try this place but was disappointed with our experience. When we arrived, the server/host greeted us with a rude attitude. It seemed like they had just opened the back dining area, so we waited a few minutes. The server walked past us without acknowledging us, then returned from the patio and snapped, “Are you going to follow me?” At that point, we were already hesitant, but we decided to go out back to the table. Once seated, we were shown the specials on a tablet, which was then tossed onto the table, and the server immediately turned and walked away. This experience left a bad impression before we even had a chance to enjoy any food here.
