Brandon Britt Smith (Travelin Smitty)

This place has been on my bucket list since the 1980's. There's a lot of great history in here and you can definitely feel it as soon as you walk in. The service was just average however we were there during a quiet time. The food was definitely worth the wait. We shared several things, and all of them were fantastic. I can see why this place has been here for as long as it has.

Barney’s beanery has a great vibe On sports days. I think Barney’s objective is to provide a good food and sport balance with plentiful drink options. The food is surprisingly tasty than the atmosphere suggests. They have some pretty good nachos and their tacos are not bad. Food - 12/20 Service - 4/10 Atmosphere - 3/10 Total 19/40

Drinks were great! Staff was super friendly and attentive! I also got the "natcho mama's natchos" (not pictured) and they were delicious! Carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, super fresh jalapeños, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, beans, the works. Definitely enough for 2! The bruin blue, one of their signature cocktails, was great as well. Like knock your socks off great! You definitely get what you paid for here, and that's super important when I go to bars.

Nice bar with great drink and appetizer options. I highly recommend trying the carne asada plate, which can easily be shared by two people.

Great place to hang out with friends, the decoration is really nice, sporty and college kind of type. Lot of young people Friday and Saturday nights so might not be a calm and nice dinner kind of place. Food was awesome and drinks came right away.

Best place in Westwood to watch a UCLA game. Great atmosphere of die hard fans and current students yelling and hanging on every play. They of course play audio for big games. I would get there early if it’s an important game. There are multiple floors and places to drink. Pretty standard bar food. Lots of vegetarian options and some select vegan options (chili with no cheese, Beyond burger, fries, salad, etc). The outdoor patio is really nice too and is a fine place to watch a game.

Who doesn't love a cozy place with great memorabilia all over the walls and ceilings. Love the food 🍲, drinks 🍹 🍻 ☕, and friendly staff, (cute too 😎). From the walls to the ceilings, including in the bathrooms you'll see old license plates, LPs, record labels, comics, celebrities, auto parts decor, and more. The menu is huge on a newspaper 🗞 print, great menu for everyone. The down side to it... Which almost made me give it a 3 🌟 is how filthy this place is. I doubt anyone ever gives it a detailed clean up. From the bars to the floors is filthy,, totally unhealthy and kills the great image.

Very nice venue and great vibe! Service, waitress Victoria, was excellent and very attentive. Beer was cold! The food was better than average but nothing to write home about. Overall, a strong 4 and I’ll definitely be back. Cheers.

It was ok. The service could have definitely been more attentive. We had two different waitresses, both of whom were friendly, but not very attentive (odd considering the place was practically empty at 10:00 a.m). The breakfast platter with Eggs Benedict was alright, nothing spectacular, but it was a nice sized portion. The onion soup was REALLY good, though. Interesting decor, nice atmosphere, but the service could use some work. The bartender in particular was especially rude and ignored us when we sat at the bar after breakfast. Not even a smile, an apology for looking us over, we just decided to leave after that.

Food took way too long. It took so long we had to leave without eating, we were on a time crunch & waited about an hour & I saw maybe 4 other tables in there with us. The server didn’t communicate what was taking so long very well, I understand she has no control over it but almost an hour for 2 orders of chicken wings is absolutely ridiculous.

Been to a couple of the other locations and had great experiences. This place is garbage, talked it up to friends and ended up bringing them here. We all got juicy Lucy's and they are all cold, not even warm, same with the fries. They should be ashamed of this place.
