I love this place I love going there every single chance I get especially when everyone else is so welcoming but the other day I had an incident with this employee of there and she was really rude I asked her for a bag to take my pastry home all she did was roll her eyes and walk away and she pretended she didn't hear us her name is Isabel everyone else there is very welcoming and I really appreciate it if we don't get treated like that ever again once I walk in there. The team is wonderful . Thankyou for always being so kind to my mom and I .
Awesome place that's very open and has great customer service! I'll happily come back for more good coffee. I had an espresso and a drip coffee and both were excellent. Espresso came with sparkling water to provide some contrast between espresso sips, too. Super cool. Copper bar around the working area that I appreciated. Very transparent location. They roast coffee beans here, too. I was also introduced to this small bottle of apple juice from France that I think was called Cloudy Cox's apple juice and it was a tiny container of childlike joy. Check it out!
This is the place to grab a coffee if you are a real coffee person. Has been my go to location for 10 years now.
Frank was so nice and took the time with me to find my perfect cup!
Their coffee is top-notch. They have a wonderful crew of folks who help ensure we stay caffeinated in a timely manner. I usually order on the app, but during the rare times I order at the counter, they are friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. I'm there a few times a week.
I love Blue Bottle coffee. They originated in my home town and I love to visit different locations wherever I travel for work if they have one. This location is especially nice in my opinion! Convenient parking and the staff has always been very pleasant. I’ve always been a big fan of the New Orleans iced coffee. Also the music selection here is always really good too 👌
This coffee shop offers excellent lighting as well as a warm and soothing ambiance. The coffee is really delicious and reasonably priced. There is lots of sitting both inside and outside, as well as a comfy bench. Both workers are kind and attentive to my requirements. They take such good care of me that I am very happy. This excellent coffee establishment is highly recommended.
The decaf sweet iced latte is excellent, and this is my first time visiting a BB branch. The staff was incredibly helpful and even provided me recommendations for nearby Boulder, LA, where I was going with a buddy. As a queer non-binary person, I love that they had gender neutral restrooms, and I also thought the staff was really friendly. Overall, I'd go back to this place! :-) I parked a couple of minutes' walk away and had no trouble finding parking, but it was a Sunday, so I can't speak to how things might be on a weekday. If you can't find street or metered parking, there is a public lot next to Girl & the Goat that is accessible by foot. I hope this is helpful.
Outstanding quality coffee and food! Also, love the industrial atmosphere. The avocado toast is wonderful! I definitely recommend this place!
I was looking for a good cup of Joe & this was nearby. I ordered a hot “Nola”with almond milk & it was delicious. Solid flavor and perfect temperature. Their cold brew half can was also refreshing and energizing. I also had their breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.
Greta coffee. Sometimes I park in front of this place really early then take my dog for a walk across the bridge over to the otherside then back! Fun and worth that little trip
Came back to this location after some time. Ordered a latte as usual and service was great and quick. Same flavor as in San Francisco. Stumptown close by is awesome as well and my top pick.
Lovely location in Pasadena. The staff is welcoming and the coffee tastes great. Also loving the new winter set of beans. They taste great after making them in my Aeropress.
Very nice coffee shop with nice baristas. The choice is a bit limited but it could be the time of day I was there. The place is spacious and very clean. The coffee is good but a bit on the light taste.
This Blue Bottle location has great friendly baristas and staff. Love the Nola Shakerato but my goto is cappuccino. There is parking just off of Willow but is not free. Street parking can be tough.
Super flavorful beans. Ethiopian blend was a solid selection. True to flavor profile. 10/10 would buy again. Wish they sold larger sizes.
Good coffee at a very good location. On the pricier side but to be expected in this area
they get it right every time. It’s like every barista is obsessed with coffee. I only want to spend money and go somewhere where they are obsessed with quality. Good job to every one at Blue Bottle. Money well spent - that is coming from a person that never goes out. Only if it’s superior i will. I ordered a mocha today. Again, CONSISTENT perfection. Last time I had blue bottle I went to the Santa Monica location and my drink was heavenly. I’m so glad I go to any location and get that little piece of heaven every time.
Blue Bottle out of San Francisco is in LA! Trendy shop on a trendy little street worth the stop. Delicious ice tea! My companion had a cup of coffee that meet Blue Bottle standards with its unique dark roast flavor.
Really good coffee. The cafe is pretty small but great for take out. They have small food offerings (waffles, sandwich, etc). If you are like me and cannot drink black coffee but want to save on calories, try their iced coffee! Taste more like a latte but low calories!

Blue Bottle Coffee on Mateo Street is a great spot to slow down and enjoy a really well made cup of coffee. The space feels clean and modern, with a relaxed vibe that fits the Arts District perfectly. The baristas are friendly and clearly care about quality. Every drink I have ordered has been smooth and flavorful, never rushed or sloppy.
Waffles are perfect delicious and topping are amazing fresh and brusting with flavor.
Minimal calm cafe with very consistent coffee, grabbed a pour over and it was clean and bright. Staff explained the menu without the coffee snob vibe. It’s great for a quick caffeine run in the Arts District, love that area of town, would happily come back, the serving sizes are ok for what you pay.
The cafe here is smaller than the other Blue Bottle. But they are promised for the same style as the factory style decoration and full of special fancy design. Except the cafe, the merchants with the classic blue bottle logo are also sold here. I would definitely recommend the pin and the limited summer edition drink: Nola Shakerato!!! The parking nearby costs but ones can find the free street parking nearby
I’ve been coming to this Blue Bottle for years now, and it’s stayed consistent all throughout. The vibe is blight and nice, but there’s limited (and not very comfortable) seating. It’s definitely not where you want to come to get a good amount of work done. The service is hit or miss, with a range from nice and welcoming to aloof indifference (as it was when I came this last time). In the end it’s mainly about the coffee, and BB always delivers. While I’m an espresso nut, the iced NOLA is a must try if you haven’t already.
I love Blue Bottle Coffee. Great airy space, lots of cool products, amazing coffee. This location the order and check out area is a bit muddled and confusing.
A little over priced chain coffee shop. The coffee tastes were ok, but they can make fresh drip coffee to order. They have recently added many locations in DTLA area.
Not a lot of space to hang out inside but the neighborhood was cool, cold brew was great, specifically the New Orleans. Also the cappuccino was likely the best I've ever had. Waffle with chocolate was really delicious but I wouldn't expect to have any kind of full meal on offer here.

Soooo I’ve been designing all night at SewFyi just around the corner, and decided I needed a cup of joe in the early am hrs. I will admit.... I’m a Starbucks girl, but I’m open to exploring cute coffee shops when available. This particular shop was 0.1 miles and 3 min walk, so I decided to try. Aesthetically, the place is absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming in a very industrial/artistic way. I walked in and waited in line (only 1 other customer in front of me). The energy seemed to be a little off ( although very empty, no one greeted me). As a customer, that icebreaker greet is everything... especially on a first time visit. I waited patiently in line and then a very lovely young lady (with green hair) took my order. I’m a regular roast coffee type of girl, but this shop has specific seasonal flavors that are hand brewed. She explained the flavors and their process of brewing coffee which I really appreciated. I slid over to the register to check out and here’s where Blue Bottle Coffee looses 2 stars. The cashier (brown bun with glasses) took some time to get to the register which is No biggie because that gave me a moment to capture some flicks of the very cool environment. When she finally arrived to the register, she came with a bit of an attitude. (Which I didn’t really understand, because she seemed pretty joyful with the customer ahead of me) I checked out and had a seat at the bar facing the brewing stations. Once again, beautiful views so I proceeded to capture some more content. I then noticed her rolling her eyes, as if she was annoyed by my presence. I decided to stop taking flicks and have a seat. A pretty kind guy with curly hair called me to get my coffee, and I realize that there was 0 cream in the canister. I informed him and he happily refilled the canister and handed it back. As I proceed to pour the cream, I realize there’s not much room for cream at all. ( I like my coffee light tan in color... my Starbucks order is tall in a grande cup to leave room). I asked the curly haired guy if I could have a larger cup for room for cream, and he told me they only have 1 size cups. I observed a larger size cup across the room and told him that cup will work fine. As he’s headed to grab the larger cup for me, the brown bun cashier jumps into the conversation and forcefully tells him to “stop, those cups are for cold drinks”. He stopped dead in his tracks, I’m still standing there with a small cup and no room for my cream. She gives no other options to help me and proceeds back to check out the customer in front of her. (As if my issue wasn’t a concern). At this point, I just wanted a refund. Between rude customer service, weird flavors, limited cream and tiny cups... I had had enough! Unfortunately, I didn’t have the energy, so I just asked the curly hair guy for another small cup. I proceeded to split my coffee into two cups to make a blend to my liking. Worst part of all.... the coffee tasted extremely average! I mean Mc Donald’s probably has a better blend of coffee (in my opinion). So here I am having my weak coffee in a stunning environment with a poker face as I write this review. I’ll definitely be sourcing a local Starbucks tomorrow. Update : Omg!!!! And no outlets!
There were 4 items on the menu and one option was out and almost another was as well. There is no energy in the cafe.
I love Blue Bottle Coffee, they have the best pour over in town. BUT this location has horrible service. The employees can’t handle a simple Monday morning rush. A few of them never greet you or look you in the eyes when taking your order.

Arrived 2/4 in the morning. Male barista ignored us for the first 5 minutes even though there was no one else in line. My 3 year old daughter ordered a croissant and instead of handing it to her he dropped it on the counter and walked away.
Worst customer service, asked for an iced decaf latte which basically came as a tall cup of milk and then asked the lady at the counter if she could add a little more decaf, which she then responds by saying she has to charge me an extra shot for $4.25 instead of simply just adding a little more decaf like any other normal Coffeeshop would do. And tried giving me an attitude about it so I asked for a refund. Def way better customer service and coffeeshops in the area
There was a young skinny girl behind the counter that was being rude to people. Luckily I had my order in before she came to the register but she made several snarky remarks to customers that just gave her the side eye. The young gentleman that helped me was very professional though and why I upgraded it to 2 stars. The food isn't that great and people are paying for the vibe of the place; maybe the staff should reflect that.
I’d like to share a very disappointing experience I had on Saturday morning, May 31st, 2025, at around 8:10 am. My friend and I stopped by to grab coffee to start our day, but the service was extremely poor. There was only one employee there, who was chatting with someone else (who didn’t seem to be an employee) and didn’t even acknowledge us as we waited. We didn’t want to interrupt, so we waited about 10 minutes. As we were about to leave, the employee finally shouted, “Have a nice day, guys,” but the experience had already ruined our morning. We’re regulars at this location and usually have a great experience, but this was the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered. I hope this feedback helps prevent others from having their morning ruined the way ours was.
This morning I purchased 1 regular coffee and three pumpkin (something’s) and the total was like 21 dollars. I left like a 4 dollar tip. Just checked my bank account and it states I was charged 59.00 dollars and that I left a 10 dollar tip!!!! Obviously something is not right. Called my daughter to confirm the transaction as she was standing right next to me. Will visit the shop tomorrow and ask for a manager. Odd would be an understatement. Trying not to think I was purposely ripped off. Will follow up on a review tomorrow.
I came here because it's on my way to work and thought of giving it a try. I got a hot chocolate and their breakfast sandwich, I was truly disappointed. I paid $14 total for a basic hot coco I can make at home way better. The breakfast sandwich only had egg and their "special" salsa that tasted like Sriracha sauce. You're pretty much paying for the hip atmosphere. I feel upset I got ripped off but what can I do, now I know.
