Opinions de Casa Leo Los Angeles
Casa Leo is THAT place! Every plate felt like a full-on fiesta of flavors, bold, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell the chef really cares about every detail. The vibe was mellow, retro-chic, soft music in the background… the kind of spot where you lose track of time in the best way. We really enjoyed every plate and the sangria. Our waiter Jordan was an absolute star, her recommendations were chef’s kiss and made the whole experience even better. I'm Already planning my next visit.
This restaurant is phenomenal. There are so many good things about it that it's difficult to find a place to start. Chef Josh and team are so hospitable and kind, the food is truly incredible, the ambiance is deeply comforting. The menu is approachable and reasonably priced which makes sampling many of the dishes part of the fun. The hits from our meal: - beet gaspacho, perfect way to start the meal - oxtail stew is a must try - gambas, sauce is perfect - jamon on toast with papaya spread Would go back in a second. Strong recommend.
The food at Casa Leo is made with such intention and mastery of flavor and artistic presentation. Every item blew me away with flavor and freshness. I felt like we were in Spain! What a perfect contribution to our neighborhood this is my new favorite spot. Do not sleep on the cheesecake. It is absolutely beyond. Run don't walk to Casa Leo!!!!!
I’ve been four times in six weeks!!! Every time I go back it gets better. Love this place. Been for Brunch (the torrijas & tortilla are a must), Lunch (the gambas!!!), and most recently dinner (the oxtail dish is insane) and all three menus are excellent. Chef Josh is also so kind and passionate, we are lucky to have him in our neighborhood. The place is clean, the staff is attentive, the service is timely and best of all the neighborhood hasn’t caught on yet, so tables are usually open (although I’m sure that will change very soon!!).
An exceptional fine dining experience! Every dish was a culinary masterpiece, with impressive attention to detail and beautiful presentation. The desserts were equally outstanding—the cheesecake and flan were perfectly executed and an unforgettable finale to the meal. The intimate setting and impeccable service made the entire experience truly memorable. Thank you, Chef Josh, for a wonderful night. Will be back!
I am truly impressed by this restaurant - Casa Leo. Each dish was crafted to perfection, with a touch of homeliness. I genuinely appreciate how warmly and sweetly the chef welcomed us. He invited us to their paella Sunday, which I unfortunately missed since I live on the other side of LA, but it’s definitely worth the drive to dine at this place! Can't wait to come back!
This new restaurant is much needed in the Los Feliz area! Casa Leo is a Spanish inspired restaurant that uses locally produced ingredients, and the freshness is evident in every bite! I had a blast and am definitely going to be a regular!
The food was fantastic! Amazing balance of flavors and textures with fantastic service and an inviting airy atmosphere. The drinks were very unique and refreshing for a warm summer morning. The Chef, Josh made us feel welcome and his passion comes through crystal clear when the food hits your mouth. We will be back!
Everyone was lovely here! This is a unique well thought out tapas place! The chef as travel and learned through his work tricks and tips that combined with his creativity created a menu that is simple and fresh yet surprising! We had the gazpacho that was incredible then we had one of their cocca we enjoyed and the tomato with the tuna conserva. Really well picked ingredients! Above all was the gazpacho and the flan!!
Look first of all - you're wonderful. B. Sensational food, great service, decadent environment, chef is a winner. Try the trout, and don't skip the caesar salad or the cheesecake.
Had lunch, the food, service and ambiance were great. The menu doesn’t have many protein options so it’s definitely the lighter side/veggie forward. It was great, I’ll definitely return.
I found this hidden gem 💎 in Los Feliz , fantastic cuisines , great environment, amazing service Christie & Joshua are great . They are newly opened so they are trying to open for dinner pretty soon , I think it’s a great place to hangout and have some authentic cuisines .
What a great new neighborhood spot. The jamon dish was a great way to start and the scallop ceviche was a highlight. The staff was friendly and fantastic.

Excited to come back! The sweet chef and staff made us feel right at home. And the food is excellent, I loved the ancient grains salad and the incredible cheesecake! Great wines too. A beautiful addition to the neighborhood, hope they get very popular (but not too popular)
We love this restaurant in Los feliz! Incredible food, beautiful atmosphere, and the sweetest staff! Always a table available when you walk in. Great neighborhood vibes. If little doms is busy, pop over here for a great brunch or dinner!
My best dining experience in Los Angeles for 2025. A spectacular neighborhood restaurant with an amazing seasonal menu. The ricotta dip, THE BREAD!!, the tapas, the Italian beans, the olives, the passionfruit sangria were all unique we had a very special dining experience. The chef and the servers were attentive and ready to accommodate any of our needs. We will be back soon. Can’t believe how lucky we are to have this in the neighborhood.
Casa Leo is such a little gem! Everything we ordered was delicious...the watermelon and tomato nigiri and scallop crudo being the standouts. We ordered two of the nigiri, it was truly one of the best bites I've ever had in my life. The service was amazing, we had the sweetest waiter and the entire staff seems to collaborate to ensure every table is well taken care of. It has a nice cozy ambiance and great lighting (lower, which is how I prefer it). It was also priced really well, not a cheap meal but lower than a lot of places that are definitely not as good. 10/10 will be back!
We had an excellent dinner at Casa Leo. The pork tenderloin special with coriander, mojo rojo, and whipped potatoes was outstanding. The coca (mini pizza) with sautéed mushrooms and herbs was very tasty. The cesar salad could’ve used a bit more punch, garlic/anchovy, but otherwise a very good meal and we’ll definitely return. Also had some great Spanish wines, which paired wonderfully. Yes chef!

I have been to Casa Leo twice now and have been really impressed both times. Just right up front, the cocas are delicious. I've had two and both were outstanding. If you're going, definitely get one or two to share. However, what inspired me to review this time was the cheesecake. This was a top 5 cheesecake I've ever had. I mean on the menu it's called "the only cheesecake you will ever need", which is a bold claim, but it really lives up. Anyway, check out casa leo. I'm glad it's in the neighborhood and I'm even more glad I know where to go to get a glass of wine and a cheesecake.

Had an awesome brunch here yesterday. The corn coca was a standout- absolutely the best bread based dish I’ve had all year!! The tortilla espanolla which is their take on an omelette was perfectly filling and not heavy at all. Everything had a ton of flavor and was absolutely unique. Best flan I’ve ever had too. Refreshing to try some awesome new cuisine that was similar in ways to some foods I often eat- just way way better!! Huge addition to the neighborhood.
There’s something quietly confident about this place. It’s refined without being fussy. The inviting ambiance and the friendly waitstaff immediately establish a high bar for hospitality, making everyone feel like a regular. A newcomer that already cooks like a classic. The tomato & watermelon nigiri arrives looking like an art piece, a single bite of crunchy watermelon wrapped in shiso. Then comes the bay scallop ceviche, scallop served on top of halved limes chilled on ice like a seaside amuse-bouche. From there, the tuna crudo is paper-thin, melt-on-contact tuna in a sauce that is smoky, bright, and addicting. It’s one of those sauces you end up dragging everything through. That flatbread, with corn, garlic oil, and pecorino walks that edge between rustic and refined, charred edges, and just enough chili. The gambas al ajillo delivers well cleaned plump shrimp swimming in the warmth of garlic oil. The flan is the kind of dessert that reminds you why flan became a classic in the first place. Cardamom, citrus, and candied pistachio. Every dish feels deliberate, pared down to its essentials. The inviting interior and calm atmosphere is visible through the street facing glass windows, where everyone appears to be enjoying themselves. Los Feliz has plenty of charm, but Casa Leo gives it flavor.

We went here on a date night and booked online reservations last minute. Literally 30min prior. Valet parking only in the lot $10. Place was very cute and intimate. We were seated right away. We first ordered the Boquerone en Jardinera (White Anchovies w/ Bell Peppers Scallions & Lemon). Which was probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten. As far as the rest of the items, I’ll list below. My wife and I felt that everything was very heavy on the salt. Now, we love seasoned food. But the salt, you have to know when to stop. Almost inedible. We were also recommended some wine to pair with some of the food items and the wine was amazing. The other items were; Creamy Artichoke Chickpeas Tahini Lemon Black Sesame Seeds. (Super salty, but came with the perfect flat bread) Ancient Grain & Radicchio Pecorino Romano Mint Market Vegetables Lemon Dressing Walnuts (this could’ve done without the mint leaves, very bitter, but maybe they could’ve added some candied walnuts or pomegranate seeds to lighten it up) Albondigas Spanish Inspired Beef Meatballs (The sauce was very good, still salty but the meat balls were little balls of salt) We ended the night with the best flan we have had. Orange flan with pistachio. The combination was defiantly unexpected but worked beautifully. Over all, I think there is a lot of potential, I just wish they had held back on the salt that night.
