Opinions de Chi Dynasty Los Angeles
This was my first time here and I was totally impressed ! The service was excellent, the food delicious and wonderful, and the drinks were good too. We had the sizzling beef, beef low mein, and Jade chicken. The egg drop soup was also delicious..I have nothing negative to say about our experience. Will definitely be back!
Super enjoyed this little gem. The sampler platter for two was FUN! And delicious. Very much enjoyed the walnut shrimp and the sizzling beef.
Short review: delicious food, awesome service all inside a beautiful ambiance. Also, big portions, enough to take home for another meal!
Love this place it’s a staple of the neighborhood… really good vibes + really strong drinks + really good scallion pancakes
Loved the food here and super fast service. Specially their kung pao chicken. The empty plates shows it all.

I only discovered this place after living in the area for 2.5 years! It's well kept treasure ! I didn't dine in as I ordered for Take out but food was kept warm in their lovely recyclable bags and well packed and presented. The food tasted still hot and fresh when I dished out and it tasted fabulous! Im definitely going back to dine with friends! Thank you!
All the food I ordered was delicious. Chicken salad, Yang chow fried rice, Sizzling scallops,Garlic string bean!!!
We’ve been wanting to come here for a while and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, copious and very well priced! We have leftovers for at least one additional meal! The ambience was great, they sat us near the fish tank, and the service was easy and breezy. Totally going back. The butter pepper chicken was to die for
Ngl great food and the service was amazing. It’s also a cool fancy spot with a low price.
We recently dined in at Chi Dynasty and were really impressed with the quality and flavor of most of the dishes. We tried the calamari, sautéed green beans, beef lo mein, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. The calamari was light, crispy, and tender — not greasy at all. The green beans were perfectly cooked with a great garlic kick, and the orange chicken struck a nice balance between sweet, tangy, and crispy. The beef lo mein was the only dish that fell a bit short for us — it tasted a bit watered down and lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for. That said, the kung pao chicken totally stole the show. It was bold, just the right amount of spicy, and had the perfect crunch from the peanuts. Easily our favorite of the bunch and something we’d order again without hesitation. Overall, great experience with Chi Dynasty — flavorful, fresh food and generous portions. Definitely worth a try!
Chi Dynasty always has the best service and I constantly find a new favorite on the menu! It's a restaurant, but in my opinion, also the best "sports bar" in Los Feliz! The big games are always on and I think that is great that the staff cares about the games as much as I do.

Prompt service. Nice and clean atmosphere. Food was good but something were missing in the taste of dishes: maybe that strong flavorfullness common in Asian kitchens. I would highlight their fried rice and butter pepper, though.
A nice place with a very welcoming host. The food wasn’t amazing but it was decent. One dish that was extremely delicious was Walnut Shrimps. The orange chicken was good but the fried rice was disappointing. Might come back for the shrimps! 😁

A lot of the food just didn't have flavor, I'm not sure why they don't use much or maybe just the wrong kind. People are nice enough and parking wasn't hard. I wanted to like it more. Hope they can up the game a bit more.
Honestly there is no way I would recommend this place to anyone. I do not get all the positive comments, maybe they changed the chef? Schichuan pickled vegetables are horribly sour, it’s definitely not pickled with the traditional method, instead they just used fresh veges added vinegar so you can imagine that taste like. The sizzling beef and veges is another disaster, the sauce is just the most common oyster sauce, flavor is so bland. no thought has went in to the creation of this dish. And even that sauce is not cooked into the meat, just eating meat gives you the most blank taste ever. Mapo tofu is the only passable dish, not great at all.
I don't really have any words. Part of my order was the Beijing duck. Whole size. I got skin and 4 drumsticks. I really feel like a duck looks a little different, I don't know, than just skin and 4 legs. The other dishes were pretty decent though. Got the vegetable fried rice, Mongolian beef, and garlic green beans. But as a Chinese person I can't really let that slide. Are ducks getting skinny these days? I mean there was meat on the legs but I was really hoping it wouldn't ONLY be on the legs. Edit: ok first of all, that response by your establishment made no sense. I specifically ordered, and verbally confirmed three times, I wanted the whole Beijing duck. I made no mistake there, it should've been clear I wanted the double order, or as you said, "twice the half Beijing duck order". Second, you said I got the double duck, where the meat is used for another stir fry dish. Okaaaay, well why did I never receive that stir fry dish with the rest of the duck? Again all I got was veggie fried rice, Mongolian beef, and green beans, and this carcass of a duck.

This place is always packed and it’s been around for forever, which is why I gave it two chances to be a diamond in the rough, or at least a neighborhood gem. Both times I’ve ordered take out from Chi Dynasty I’ve been thoroughly underwhelmed by the food. Rice is dry; noodles are inconsistently sauced with some completely dry and uncooked; mushy breading separates easily from chicken pieces and the orange sauce meant to dress it is gloopy and largely flavorless. The sauce on the Chi Noodles is similarly one note. Steamed vegetable dumplings stick to each other and tear, quickly falling apart. Scallion pancakes are weirdly dusty and soapy tasting, and also fall apart faster than a cheap croissant. The first time I thought they could have just been having an off night, but the second time has me convinced it’s just not very good. Save your time and go…anywhere else. The wings and fries at Ye Rustic Inn next door are a great option.

Took about 3 bites of the chicken lo mein, tossed it out. No flavor. Mongolian beef was awful. Tasted synthetic or over processed. Had to toss as well. Woke with a stomach ache. I won’t be returning.
We’ve been patrons of Chi dynasty for decades. Tonight the takeout food was awful, items were omitted from takeout (Plum Sauce, Chili Oil), pancakes for Moo Shu were all cracked. Never going to order again.
I ordered takeout looking forward to some great orange chicken. This just tasted wrong. Totally non edible. I deselected the “sugar” option but still this just tastes bad like something in the ingredients is rotten.
Although the food is very delicious and the restaurant is very nice, the service wasn’t the greatest. Very racist and discriminatory simply because we spoke “another language “. Will not be returning.
