Exellent, martha the cashier was A ++ Never rushed me, suggested food and was very knowledgeable of the menu, most of the front line ladies and gentlemen very polite, clean place. This is a great help oil Loco location incredibly fast and responsive people. Everything about this location screens quality. The food is always fresh and well prepared. However sometimes the food is lukewarm and you have to send it back because of high-volume traffic at this location. The restrooms are kept tiding and manicured plenty of parking in and out traffic can be cumbersome because of the major Boulevard. But overall pound for pound this is an exceptional location. Local crowds here are hard minority faced people.
I tried the New El Pollo Loco App for the first time and boy oh boy did I save money 💰 So happy about that and my order. My order was correct and I received everything I ordered. I ordered a double chicken tostada salad. I will be using the app from now on. Thanks EPL, I am one satisfied customer.
This EPL is usually crowded so I don't go. But now I know why! The food is delicious! Unfortunately it is cramped and there's no way I would touch the salsa bar because of how messy it is with tons of people breathing over it. But the staff was nice and efficient with the placing and distributing of orders.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this location! The bathroom was clean & accessible and before I could get my eyes focus good on the menu, I was greeted with THE most pleasant & genuine "Hello, welcome to El Pollo!" from a young man at the register!!! I REALLY hate that I didn't get his name, because I thought that he was THE PERFECT example of what customer service should look like! I actually had an older lady take my order that appeared disinterested, but she was ok! My ONLY complaint was that I felt that the chicken in my Stuffed Quesadilla was more like SCRAPS than chopped pieces of chicken! OVERALL I enjoyed my visit, I would recommend this location and I will return again!!!

And I can say this is one of those locations! This by far was the best El Pollo Loco, they were extremely busy & yet the entire staff was organized & extremely friendly... I was so surprised by the lunch time crazy, that I felt I had to go to the counter (when they finished the rush) & had to thank & say to all including the kitchen crew & the man that was keeping the tables cleared & wiping down, that they all were amazing 👏👍 I don't normally do that, but they needed to here the customer appreciation!!! My new favorite El Pollo Loco location. (I don't eat fast food, but this has healthy options & consistently great chicken)

I come very often to this pollo loco location because it has excellent customer service. On occasions the general manager Mariah, and everything has been excellent. I ask for my food well done, and juicy and they always do it that way. I haven’t tried a chicken this good in any other pollo loco location

This is a great El Pollo Loco location. It has a drive thru. It's always fast and the food is always good. The employees are also very competent and nice.
Great places to eat. Highly recommended. Kendrick has a great personality and is always on top of the game. Beatriz is really fast in giving me my food and has a great customer service. When I pass through drive thru John is always waiting at the window with a big smile and is ready with my food. All the managers are very friendly and helpful.
I've never had an issue with my order, always accurate, and they provide plenty of napkins! Can't speak on atmosphere inside, I always go via drive thru.
This is our favorite location for this fare. The food here is always well prepared and the presentation is great. But the best part of our experience is the customer service. John in the drive-thru personality was amazing. At 10pm he was full of life, courteous and accurate.

I recently visited this location for a bite to eat when spending the night nearby. Upon stepping into the restaurant, I could see that this franchise is run like a well-oiled machine. I recommend to everyone who wants a tasty made-from-scratch meal. Skip taco-bell, come here instead for some real food.

One of the hardest working people I’ve ever seen. Menu and prices are well deserved and definitely something I’d pay for. These people not only have good service they are also on-top of their food quality and even have options for all classes. If you have a snap card they accept it here. If you want a inexpensive snack their chips and guac are good. The drinks are pricy but the quality of the soda is good. Super convenient to have this pollo loco in a shopping plaza.

Don’t get me wrong, El Pollo Loco is my FAVORITE place to come to when I come to California but this place just didn’t do the justice for me. Customer service was GREAT! Axel helped us like a boss, ... but ... the mashed potatoes were not cooked all the way through. You could see the powder in the middle of the scoop. Unless that wasn’t powder ... the wrap I got was not toasted so it wasn’t warm. I understand that it gets busy but these were just little things that threw me off about the food. I was honestly hungry so it wasn’t that bad haha

I had the same experience as Yolanda Reyes (below)... I got all white 4 piece meal, breast & wings dry and overcooked, the wings were so well done, there was no meat & the bones splintered & cracked when pulled apart, the breast, REALLY REALLY dry & hard...the rice also was very dry & bland. I rated a "4" because, most of my past visits have been great & the girl at drive thru window, Eli, was so nice...maybe the pandemic?
Fast drive thru. Friendly staff at the window. The burritos are good. Plenty of selections to choose from. You could easily share with someone else based on the size. There is plenty of parking if you are dining in.
The food was good, one of the employees had a bad attitude she seemed to get annoyed when I ask for additional sauces. I don't understand what her problem was, but after I spend money I don't believe it's being unreasonable to get adequate sides.
Usually only visit when they have a discount on the family dinner or in a pinch for a quick meal and I can quickly grab a burrito or a bowl and go. Drive thru is usually pretty quick and they have plenty of parking.

location does attract a little bit of a dirty clientele. Every time i go in there is a homeless person inside or outside. I try to avoid eating there. Like i said not the fault of place. its just located in a area where homeless drift.

I ordered the three handmade chicken taquitos which is advertised for $5.00 and comes with a drink. When I paid for my order I asked the cashier for my drink cup and he said I didn't charge you for the drink, I looked at my receipt and he charged me $4.99, which is the cost for the taquitos without the drink. I then told him why would I not want the drink when it's only a a penny difference. He gave me the cup. Then when I got my food I had NO SAUCE, GUACAMOLE OR SALSA that comes on the order, I asked why and he said because I gave you the drink for free... I asked do you want the penny? He then had the order made correctly. This was not the cashier Arturo as he is always pleasant and don't try to cheat the customers. This is not the first time I received poor service at this location.

very busy little fast food restaurant, due to strategic location right on la cienega just north of the 10 frwy. It appears the staff tried their best to work as fast and efficiently as possible, particularly during "rush hour" that I was there between 11:15 am to 12:25 pm. However, the older lady at the register seems get overwhelmed and losing patience, as she started to raise her voice, no sense of courtesy detected, and definitely no smiley face... Wished the store would assign someone more personable and courteous at register (during busier time)

This place used to be good. Everyone would great you as you walked in. It did not matter how busy it got you always had a good turn around time. The last few times I've visited this location, after new management have not been pleasant. Everything from super long wait times to having the wrong items delivered.
I spoke to Carlos at this location on Saturday June 16, 2018 around 8:30-8:40 pm. His personality, awesome. The manager not so much. Dear Female Manager, please inform the customer that you ran out of lids for the side containers. My pinto beans were placed in their bowls and by the time I arrived home, they spilled out. I had and always use, El Pollo Loco coupons purchased the 16 piece with 3 sides, price $27 and change. Secondly, I asked for corn tortillas and got flour. If they ran out of corn, inform the customer of this, as well. I frequent El Pollo Loco whenever the coupons arrive in the weekly circulars. And, if a customer is used to what you provide with these offers, make sure that’s what they pay for, no arguments MANAGER. Carlos you’re presentation, Priceless✌️
I am giving 2 stars because the food was good but the service was horrific. I stood waiting (no one was in line) for 6 minutes. There were many employees since it was a Saturday but every employee was working togos. The only employee to approach the register was clocking out for the day. I finally asked if someone could take my order. The cashier was rude and dismissive. Then my friend went up to get a fork and a cup of water and I kid you not, it took him 5 minutes. I dont expect 5 star service but seriously? Come on, I won't be returning.

I have many problems with this place. First, they shut down their lights on the menu at 9PM even though they are open for another two hours so you can't see the menu. The when you pull into the area where you pay, the worker stops you and makes you sit there and wait before pulling the car in for the payment and the food. Has something to do with waiting for the time and how quickly the order gets satisfied.

I used to come here primarily for the delicious tropical iced tea they had. Last 2 visits it's been replaced with some low-quality crap from the soda fountain, probably Fuze. The quality of the chicken was pretty good tastewise but I paid $50 for 8 pieces of very shrimpy chicken and two sides. Very disappointing. Also there is no drive thru at this location and the dining room wasn't very busy and there was no one in line before or after us and 6 people visibly working in the front/behind the register. So tell me why I end up STICKING to my chair so badly I switch seats and then am sticking to the clean(ish) seat so bad I have to pull my pants off the seat when I get up 3 times after this. I like the food at Pollo loco, but this unit at La Cianega is always complicated, there's always something missing, something is always wrong, and today was no different. I'm definitely not going to that unit anymore, I'm going to drive to the Washington blvd unit and buy it there, because every time this unit is a problem.
BEWARE: FOOD POISONING!! A week ago i ate from here and immediately experienced stomach cramps while eating the food. I thought it was due to eating too fast so i finished my meal. Turns out the next day i had extreme diarrhea (pinto beans) and painful abdominal cramps. Its been almost a week and I've been to the doctor 2x and am waiting on test results so i can be treated with the proper antibiotics. I'm miserable to say the least!! STAY AWAY. Cheap fast food isn't worth it!! Pay a little more and get quality -- that's my lesson.
I want to start by saying thank you to all the hard working people in this industry. All I look for when I go to a fast food restaurant is fast and friendly service as well as hot food and what I order. Unfortunately I have given this location many chances as well as the pollo loco brand many chances and I either get under serving and too little or very cold food. This evening I went through drive-through and unfortunately did not get any chips and my quesadilla tasted old and was extremely cold. I understand it is the lowest price item on your menu however, it is not OK serve customers, cold food and not serve them what they paid for the drive-through employee was also not friendly. At least the person in the front added more chips yet did not remake the quesadilla. Also I got the wrong drink. Martha, the manager saw me come in perhaps overheard me and was just sitting down eating her well-deserved dinner a little bit more empathy for the customer would be appreciated. Thank you.
Today I went to buy two chicken burritos but when I got home I opened them up and saw they were dirty with grease stains on the tortilla and the wrapper. On top of that, when I went to return them I spoke with the manager and he responded saying he would get them done again but couldn’t “guarantee the quality of the product.” His attitude was the worse. He needs to be trained to do his job right.
The manager ana is the worst employee here. Instead of opening another register when 15 plus people are waiting in line (when they have enough employees to send someone on break and another wiping tables) she decides to shuffle the line from one side of the restaurant to the other for no reason. Then didn't help her one cashier who needed manager assistance with a stubborn customer. Please get some better customer service people! This is pathetic.
Never again will I come here. I work at the kaiser down the street and come here for lunch. I order a simple chicken, bean and rice burrito and 4 other people behind me with all bigger orders recieved their meals before me. I only got my food when I asked whats taking so long. Its one thing if this was only once but this was literally the second time its happened. Manager responded rudely only saying they are busy and wouldn't even apologize for thier mistake. Like being busy is a an excuse for forgetting about a order.
this place is extremely busy, too busy to care about the cleanliness of their food, make sure to inspect your food before eating it. I went to the salsa bar to get a couple of ramekins of avocado salsa and pulled up a long strand of hair when dipping the ladle. I went up to the cashier at the register and told her there was hair in the avocado salsa, and she replied 'ok' and continued ringing up costumers who were ordering. She never apologized, she never offered a new batch of avocado salsa, she never even went to change out the contaminated container of avocado salsa, she could care less all while people are still going to the avocado salsa and putting it on their food. After observing this I am so disgusted that I've decided I'm never going to eat at this El Pollo Loco or any other El Pollo Loco ever again. I'm still grossed out knowing that people who've eaten here consumed avocado salsa contaminated with hair and the people who work here could care less, I wonder what happens at their other locations...
I used to love El Pollo loco and I used to love this particular location but this present day I will not be coming back to this location due to the the food being tainted. I'm not sure if it was the meal or the salsa because the salsa did taste off I ate a three-piece meal I felt ill then threw up less than an hour later. I'm very disappointed in this location because I grew up going to this location the food has went down dramatically the last time I ate here was two years prior. the last time I came the chicken was dry and the pieces was way to small. When I went to complain about it the (he states he manager he was the manager) acted l he didn't speak no English. So I would recommend staying away from this location until they get back on the ball ever since frosty left that location it seem like it's been downhill since.

I pull up to window to get dirty looks and attitude. To top it off, my chicken was like bark off a tree. You would think the food would be better since they raised prices, well, it didn’t. Last time I eat at pollo loco
Pollo Loco food is amazing but when they hire the wrong people that provide the worst customer service reflects badly on them as a whole company. I was waiting at the curbside spot (keep in mind I’m handicap) for about 30 minutes after my estimated food will be brought out time and I tried honking and getting someone’s attention and after no success I had to figure out how to get off my vehicle to go inside. Once I was inside I saw the man get my order off the counter and hand it to me. I asked if my salsas were all in there along with my creamy cilantro dressings that I was charged for he looked me dead in the eyes and told me yes they’re all in there. I understand how overwhelming working in the food industry can be and they can’t even say that they were short staffed or anything there was at least 8 people working there. Anyways my food was cold and my salads were soggy and chicken was dry as heck. I’m very disappointed in this Pollo Loco. I know it means nothing to them but I will never come back to this location again.
The El Pollo Loco (EPL) on La Cienega Blvd (La Cienega Plaza) is probably the worst restaurant establishment with regards to customer service I've ever encountered. I went through so many bad restaurants and the type of service provided at this El Pollo Loco restaurant tops it by ten fold. I enjoy eating at El Pollo Loco. I think it's a great company. The chicken, the limited time offers, the sauces, the mobile app, but the La Cienega Plaza EPL location, which is near the 10 freeway (which I take to work), has massive issues with regards to their staff. For the last several years when I've been using the mobile app, I would want to go to their drive thru to pick up my food, but management was persistent about picking up my order at the store. They claimed "policy". I called corporate about it, and there was no such policy. I confronted them about this, and ultimately they had it fixed. Great - but I'm not done. The mobile order would tell you (after completing the transaction) what time your food will be ready. I would sometimes wait outside of the restaurant, or be a couple of minutes late to pick up my food. Staff would always use excuses like: "Sorry, but we're very, very busy - as you can see" "We can drop it off at the curbside. Go to the curbside and we'll come to you." I never wanted to pick up at curbside, but when I did that one time, for my very first time, it took an exact 10 minutes and I know it's been 10 or more minutes because I was watching a TV show on my phone when I've been waiting for them to drop off my food, and frankly, couldn't believe it took them this long to get my food to me. Curbside problem, lateness of food preparedness, inconvenience of coming into the store to pick up food after placing mobile order. It gets worst... and it doesn't stop. Below, is what crossed the red line and confirmed that this El Pollo Loco restaurant is a deplorable, shameful establishment. Eventually, I would tell them NO curbside pick up and NO in store pick up. This is where the disrespect comes in. Staff, especially the person by the drive thru collecting money/handing the food and the manager showed rude and disrespectful behavior and made shocking, unprofessional, impolite remarks. Managers vary on a day by day basis, but it's the same attitude, and so is the staff by the drive thru. Today, 12/29/22 - I felt disrespected and humiliated by the manager. Over the years, they've apologized, corporate has apologized, but to no avail. Corporate has done NOTHING to get this fixed. I honestly felt that their disrespect today could've caused negligence in the way they've handled my food. I had an unnerving feeling the way they handed me my order. If you're reading this and you continue going to this restaurant, I would highly advise to take your business elsewhere. The type of arrogance and nasty behavior from the manager and staff shouldn't be accepted in society. As a customer, I expected good, convenient and friendly customer service and this El Pollo Loco establishment did not provide that.
Had to go through drive thru to get a pick order, lady asked me to pay when I had already done so through the app. Assumed my order was finished so had to ask for my included drink. Forgot my side of chips that were not part of the meal. Did not include napkins or Utensils that were asked for through the app. Chicken burrito was okay. 3 piece chicken was good, sides were dry and hard.
This El Pollo Loco has some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. Other locations have great customer service but this one is terrible every time. Getting them to give me my mobile order is like pulling teeth. The last time I waited over five minutes to give me my order I could see on the counter completed in the bag. They refuse to make eye contact and ignore anything said to them. Everytime is like this. Hi to another location if you have a choice.
Never eat at a restaurant that has rat traps lying around. That means they have rodents. Gross
Google Maps says they close at 11:30, and I went in at 9:30 to order. However, I found that they had already started cleaning and did not allow dining inside, so I had to eat outside. Just as I started eating, someone came out and told me to leave. On top of that, the chicken was soft and mushy, which was really disgusting. My only advice is: choose another place for your lunch or dinner.
The whole entire time I was there one of the employees kept clicking his pen. I looked at him/her multiple times and he/she saw that I was very annoyed and did it more
The employees are not nice and are inexperienced, I always order the same food and the double chicken bowl by itself and sometimes they charge me $12 and sometimes they charge me $20 for the exact same order, you guys have to make sure the employees are not taking the money for themselves and also today in the double chicken bowl there was hardly any chicken after paying $18, worst service, never coming back ever.
Worst POLLO LOCO ever , I order a Classic Chicken Todtada Salad and when I almost finish I found a screw at the bottom of it ,WTH , and when called they refuse to let me talk to the manager, telling me she was busy. I was extremely upset , I could had ate the screw, this will be the last time I would ever go to the Pollo Loco . Please check your food before eating there . Bad customer service.
we order burritos without chicken and every-time it has chicken. When we go back to change the burrito they are rude and don’t accept there mistake . People working there don’t understand the concept of someone being vegetarian sine birth they act like it’s nothing wrong if someone bite into chicken even they never had chicken since birth.
