Chewy was amazing and knowledgeable about all the good sandwiches. I had the Fat Texas and it was incredible and could only eat one half. The vibe is dope and the Super Bowl deals look great. Wish I got to try the limited edition sub in the holidays and that they had rewards, but yeah this is a Hollywood staple for sure! Yum!
The coolest spot to eat lunch. It's an open patio setting like you are at a cookout. Way better food 😋 the menu is a bit confusing at first because it all sounds good, but no pictures available. Most of the decor and advertisements match, so it's a bit hard for the eyes when you're looking for the "order here" line. Luckily, the fellow patrons were nice, courteous, and held truthful to who was next. Overall, it's a really good burger bar and so much more. 😋
I have yet to go to Fat Sal's for their regular menu. I have only gone for their collaborations. I loved the Coming to America collab when they turned into Mc Dowels. The food was amazing! This time we went for the Rickmas collab. Honestly the smash burger with pickles, fried pickles and pickled flavored ketchup was perfect. The Fat Rickmas was packed with flavor and their Fat Cookie was mind blowing. The shake was truly decadent but the churro was just ok. My only issue is that their Philly Cheesesteak fries weren’t tossed with cheese. Once you got past the top layer they were just fries. We will be back because I want tha Fat Bahn Mi!
Jon I think, was the Friendliest cashier I've ever had. Welcomed me and talked about the menu with genuine enthusiasm. Didn't try to up sell or push anything. Fast service for take out. Onion rings had almost panko like breading, very crispy and tasty.
Bro. I’m a ho for a good sandwich and this place delivers. They know exactly what they’re doing, and they’re not shy about it. Everything here is unapologetically over the top... the portions, the flavor, the confidence. Fair prices, massive servings, and enough leftovers to justify a nap and a second lunch tomorrow. The Fat Buffalo is a beautiful chaos. Spicy, saucy, crunchy. It’s basically the Super Bowl in sandwich form. And the Tenacious Turkey & Pastrami is criminally underrated. It’s not fancy. It’s not curated. It’s just damn good.
Fat Sal’s Is the place to go when you plan on getting full. They have a huge selection of sandwiches that will make your head spin. Their specialty “Fat”‘sandwiches are just that “fresh and temping”. They also have your regular burger, hot dog and the normal fair but the specialty sandwiches is where they shine. The shakes are out of this world and the fries are outstanding! I got the Fat Jerry. It feels like it weighs about 5 pounds but it’s all good. If you’re counting calories Fat Sal’s isn’t for you. The steak with fried egg, mozzarella sticks, fries and chicken fingers was so freakin good I can’t even begin to describe it. You have to taste it for yourself. I take the mayo off and the ketchup because I don’t want ketchup on mozzarella sticks or chicken but it’s not missed because I’ve tried it both ways. Bottom line if you wanna get a delicious hero sandwich with a unique twist Fat Sal’s is for you. Plus they’re open really late!
Visited the area and needed a big meal. Loved this place and recommend. I went with a Big Beef sandwich / wife got chicken bacon ranch. We both were extremely satisfied. Mine came a side of gravy that was great. Service was great and cool design of the place was very cool. I just wish I could go back and try some of the other options. Double thumbs up!
Fat Sals always delivers! I got a Fat Texas and a pup cup for my puppers. The food was delicious and worth the late night walk. Tonight's Late night staff (9pmish) was the best! Friendly and welcoming.
We were leaving Oklahoma City and someone who had moved there from LA, told us we had to come here to eat. I would have liked to have had half a sandwich - it was so much food - but it was fun and different. I had the chicken; my son had a burger. Mine was definitely a unique take on a sandwich with a LOT of flavor. The chocolate chip cookie with cake and icing inside was also super fun!

It was a late night on a wednesday. when we went, and it was pretty much empty at around 9:/10: pm. But it was cold inside because the place is wide open to view the st.. Fat Sal’s is a MUST when in Los Angeles. As a New Yorker, I rarely go to a deli anywhere outside of New York because they typically don’t compare. This is the exception to the rule. I’m also not usually a fan of “fat” deli sandwiches, as they’re usually just stuffed with under-seasoned fries and lots of bland toppings. Likewise, I’m not typically a fan of “crazy” shakes, because they’re usually just adorned with frosting on the rim and are never worth the price. Once again, Fat Sal’s is the exception. Their sandwiches are stuffed to the brim with quality ingredients, well seasoned meats, properly prepared homemade sauces, they’re balanced in flavors and textures, and that means you don’t get bored eating them. Likewise with the shakes, they take AN ENTIRE PIECE of cheesecake and blend it into the shake itself. Absolutely decadent. If I’m within 2 hours of Fat Sal’s, I’m making a trip there every single time.
PORTIONS… the portions here are wild and the food is pretty good! Th burger, the sandwiches, and the shakes are great. The sandwich I had was sooo good that I forgot to take a picture of the actual food lol! This past weekend was my first time in California and my first time trying Fat Sal’s and they did not disappoint. Till next time!✅
First time trying this place and it was amazing. Sandwich was really good, fries were outta this world delicious. Service was fairly quickly, there was a long line, but it moved at a good pace. Found a table inside and was able to enjoy the food there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Seating area was pretty tidy for how busy they were. This place was great! When we first walked in the guys at the counter were super friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering the Fat Bodega because my husband I never got up to Harlem during our trip to NYC. This sandwich did not disappoint! I could only eat half it was so big. We dined in. There was a TV with an NBA game on and they had east coast hip hop playing. Will definitely be back. The Biggie mural on the side of the building was my favorite part. ❤️

I came to this spot 2 years ago, I wanted to try a philly cheesesteak with my homie, when we arrive the place looked dope, that's where we got our sandwiches and damn very disappointing, on top of it I got food poisoning the next day. sandwiches weren't all that(basically got food poisoning), we got their cheese fries and they were basically cold. I searched for a deli and fat Sal’s with its amazing menu appeared. No problems parking on the street. So this is an essentially a sports bar with very loud volume game on TV. Ordered a combo. Awful. Terrible. Practically inedible. Staffer noticed my dissatisfaction and inquired. He was pleasant and offered to void the sale. If they can get the quality of the food to match the pics on the menu, they will be successful.
Overhyped, Overpriced and Over rated. Food was like any other sandwich shop(Subway,Jimmy John’s, Firehouse subs, Jersey Mike’s) but waayyy overpriced. If you’re going for atmosphere ok, but otherwise go to one of the above mentioned restaurants for a better & affordable sandwich.
