I had one of the best vanilla matchas I’ve ordered in LA at Federal! The baristas were meticulous in their preparation of the drink, and it was properly frothy when I received it (a sign it was well made). On top of the drink quality, both baristas were really bubbly, kind, and just made the entire experience enjoyable. I’ll definitely pop by again if I’m in the area! My only complaint is there is no indoor seating, but as I was getting a (rare) takeout matcha, it wasn’t an issue for me today. Definitely recommend!

I recently stopped by chance at this charming corner-street café at the intersection of Pico and Federal. It’s a window-like coffee parlor and it perfectly captures the LA vibe with its unique setup: order on Pico, pick up on Federal, and relax on the outdoor terrace to savor your coffee. I had a hot latte that was great, paired with a delicious cinnamon twist that I highly recommend—it was the perfect duo. They also offer a selection of pastries, both sweet and savory. It's definitely a great spot for a coffee break should you be in the area on a sunny day (most days in LA…)!

We went to this cute little coffee shop. We couldn’t really walk-in to the coffee shop so we got in line and ordered some coffee and two bakery items. I thought it was interesting that they offered an option to make the coffee pink so I ended up getting it. It was only food coloring rather than flavor but nonetheless still interesting to try out. When I asked about the coffee, the employee at the register was very mechanical and explained what a Gibraltar and Cappuccino were in terms of fluid ounces. I ended up ordering a Pink Cappuccino. We also bought two croissants - spinach and artichoke croissant and a sweeter croissant. They were both incredibly flaky and quite tasty. It was buttery yet didn’t leave an after taste. It was a little chilly, but we sat on some chairs outside and enjoyed the food + coffee. There were several people and dogs that came by throughout the morning so I could tell this place was busy. I recommend checking this place out!

Great coffee shop. I ordered an americano and got an iced latte as well with the sugarfree vanilla syrup. They provide friendly service and reasonable prices. Their pastries come from a local place called Chaumont who have a few locations and although I didn’t get any this time I have been to the bakeries themselves and everything they have is exceptional so anything you get will be good. They also have a few regular food items such as breakfast burritos and some seasonal drinks. Good spot

I found another delicious coffee spot to add to my favorites! While driving around West LA, we spotted Federal Coffee. We busted a U-turn so quickly. There was parking right in front just waiting for us. The coffee shop is a walk-up, and you order through the window. The menu is short and sweet, which worked for us. I love the colors and the cuteness vibes this shop gives. I absolutely love the pink!! Hubby and I ordered an iced vanilla latte. They offer outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to take a seat. The sun felt amazing! Our order was ready in less than 5 minutes. Our first sip was mind-blowing delicious! It was sooooo yummy! We finished our drinks and got ready to look for a cupcake spot. As we were getting ready to head out, hubby decided to order another coffee. He got a cold brew coffee on tap. Sneaky sneaky, lol.

Great coffee, solid baked goods and friendly service. Outdoor seating on side walk is urban, but relaxed as there is plenty of space. Cheaper and way better than the boring and generic coffee chain with the green mermaid logo.

The course of my life was changed after trying this Banana Bread Chocolate Croissant hybrid pastry. I was skeptical but wanted to try something new and it was stellar. The drinks are consistently great and lean towards the unsweetened side so definitely add a little honey or vanilla syrup if you have a sweet tooth.

Visited LA over the weekend and went for a morning walk to this coffee shop along Pico Blvd. Nice and relaxing outdoor seating invites coffee aficionados to enjoy sips of their favorite drink. Tried their Oat milk Latte, Macchiatto, Vanilla Latte and their pastries. The Macchiatto with a double shot of espresso topped with cream will get your morning started. You might want to follow that up with a more subdued large Vanilla Latte, which is what I did. By the way, they also have vegan pastries and they're 👍.

This coffee shop is so cute!! It’s a walk up window with outdoor seating around. They can turn any of their drinks pink! I got the pink chai tea latte with oat milk and lavender syrup and it was delicious!! The service was great as well

Comfy friendly place. Plentiful (only) outdoor seating. A few shade umbrellas. Staff is friendly and efficient. We tried a hot latte and a hot chai latte. Both were excellent.

The croissant was alright and the coffee was good. So 4/5 for having a great seating area (it's only outside, there is no inside area), and friendly staff. Never have I felt so insulted having to wait for my drink while seeing the staff chat amongst eachother (mind you the place wasn't busy AT ALL so I don't see how they would've left a coffee drink just sitting on the counter). I only felt the need to address this considering how overpriced the menu is so it stings a lot. Anyways, I regret tipping at all if this was the service given to me.

I noticed that they have a signature pink drink so I asked about it and the cashier explained that it's a pink matcha. I ordered one and waited by the pick up window. When I got my matcha, it was just a regular matcha latte. The cashier didn't say anything, so I reminded her that I ordered a pink matcha. She replied, quite casually that oh yeah the barista forgot and added that it's too cold so the recoloring doesn't work. Then she retreated from the window and just left me there. This is not ok. It would have been ok if at any point they bothered to let me know what was going on, or at least offered an apology when I asked why the drink wasn't what I ordered. But I got none of that, not even a single sorry. Moreover, later I realized I was charged 0.75 more for an iced drink although I got a hot latte. The matcha was actually good, but it doesn't matter at this point. The attitude hurts.

Coffee and matcha are both overpriced and mediocre at best. Cold brew is too acidic. The matcha lacked any real umami or depth, tasting flat and muted, as if low-quality powder was being masked with an overly sweet artificial sweetener.

Terrible cappuccino with half and half. They definitely need to learn how to make coffee. I can make much stronger and tastier coffee with my home coffee machine. Not recommend for the coffee spot.

All people that work here on a daily basis are amazing. Coffee is delicious. But! This place is disgusting. It is never cleaned outside. The owners also ignored my multiple requests to fix the visor above the order window. When it rains you get covered with dirt from it. Pastries have flies, see attached photo.
