Great food. They have delicious pupusas! Ive eaten breakfast, lunch, dinner and all are great items.

Not fancy at all...however, the food is great! Service was friendly and prompt...try the salvadorean breakfast...a number of choices - you'll love it.

Good prices and tastes just like my mom's and grandmas cooking like when I go visit to my San Salvador .

This place is a hidden gem! First time trying out their liver with sautéed onions with veggies and rice and let me tell you it was worth it, I also ordered their signature Salvadorean dish Chicarrón pupusas with red spicy tomato sauce and pickled cabbage curtido and they were one of the best combos I've ever had.

Food was excellent, pulled up placed. Food was out in 15 mins. Excellent taste.

Its a hidden jewel, excellent salvadorian homemade food. The restaurant is not fancy, but the prices and the food are excellent.Highly recommended.

Clean, good service and good food. The waiter was very polite and courteous. He passed by the table a couple of times, asking if everything was okay and if we needed something else. Even the owner came by the table checking if everything was fine. The pupusas were done well, very good, well balanced. We also had steak and fish, everyone liked it. We had a good experience.

I love this place! When waiting for food, it can take a bit longer than you'd like but keep in mind this is food made from scratch. So well worth it! Great, great prices for homemade, comfort food! I've had just about everything on this menu; from pupusas to soups, fish, tacos, etc. I can honestly say I've enjoyed everything! I highly recommend anyone to come eat at Genesis.

I would suggest the atol de elote there that is almost like a porridge style of sweet corn drink but it's not porridge just similar just not that thick like porridge. The horchata there is also bomb but it's salvadorean horchata not Mexican. I love both styles but my favorite is the salvadorean one. I recommend this place pretty good. No alcohol served there.

And the prices are a plus. $6.99 for the breakfast plate which includes refried blended black beans, sour cream, fried plantain, avocado, fresh white soft cheese, scrambled eggs with tomato and onions, includes handmade tortilla or french roll. You got to try this place. My mom had the chicken soup with veggies she loved it. We also purchase tamales for $1. Its just amazing. Cash only place! But it's worth it.

Warm friendly local restaurant with a moderate menu, far better prepared than I could have imagined. Ate there twice so far. Pollo burrito was fluffy and full, not wet, perfectly prepared Salvadoran style, on a plate. Pupusas of good masa, real Salvadoran cheese, loroco very good, camarones fresh and sweet. Jamaica generous and strong and not excessively sweet. Not hipster lite fare, lard is used, but perfect proportions, not fatty and heavy. Oh yeah I'll be back.

Hole in the wall kind of place. Good food at fair prices....although I would recommend you pick up your order. It's a small place. I had the veggie pupusa.

This place makes good pupusas for 1.50 and they also have an outdoor eating area. Its also like a mini convenience store. They sell salvadorean medications.

The food is good but it looks dirty and unorganized. Needs a deep cleaning. The pupusas have gotten smaller and less filled throughout the years.

Small place, very good pupusas they make once ordered but the horchata doesn't taste like horchata & their "salsa" is basically tomato water. Other than that, this place is really good & affordable.

You would expect that these foods are suppose to be the staples and highlights for a Salvadorian restaurant and they are not. The flavors are not bad and do taste authentic, however the textures are gross. It seems as though they are trying to save money by watering down and skimping on their foods. Which is why I will no longer eat here...
