Opinions de Habitat Coffee Los Angeles
A little pricey, but worth it! Amazing selection for breakfast and lunch, everything on the menu is great! Coffee is well roasted and barista knew what she was doing. Highly recommend!
Super friendly, fast and and great service. Not to mention delicious food and coffee as well as a strong selection of both hot and cold quick food to-go or dine in. Wifi for working as well. 10/10 🙏🏼
Great coffee and baristas are on point! Food is a big draw here as well. This is a good place to get work done too!
I’m giving habitat coffee five stars because everyone who works there is very friendly, and I have never had such good coffee.Customer services are amazing. My personal favorite dish is the smoked salmon plate. Recommend for people who love delicious foods and snacks.
Had the Mexican Mocha with an extra shot and it was delicious. The vibes were chill. We'll be back to more stuff for sure.
Real coffee and the blueberry tart i loved it, had a real taste, not just sugar
A random find when looking for breakfast in the area. Delicious food. Amazing scones and chocolate macaroon. The breakfast croissant with scrambled eggs was generous and tasty.
Adorable little place with some nice outdoor seating. They've got a huge selection of food, coffee, tea, kombucha, etc. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Excellent customer service :)
The only complaint I have is there are TOO MANY AWESOME OPTIONS! Incredible selection of made to order food as well as healthy packaged options. Coffee and service both top notch 👍
Great people and fast friendly service. Easy for me to walk to and lots of street parking. They have salads and sandwiches and bowls and salads. They have chocolate and amazing coffee selection. The outside seating gets plenty of wifi signal and it's so comfortable hanging out there under the umbrellas to protect from the sun.
This place is perfection. Their food is delicious and I was stoked to find that they offer both gluten free and vegan options. But most of all, they made me the most perfect espresso macchiato I've had in years. And that is by no means an exaggeration. I would be here every morning if I could.
Neighbor here. Been coming here for over 2 years. What a gem this place is. The owners, the staff, back of house, everybody is lovely. Quality is an understatement. Sandwiches and salads are my favorites. Edgar was great too and I cant recall the others names but nothing short of wonderful.
This place became our regular breakfast spot when we were staying in Mount Washington (North East LA). One of the members of our group had a wheat intolerance and we found that this place offered a really wide choice of gluten free treats such as muffin, breads and sweet treats. They were all freshly made and reasonably priced. The coffee's good too 😉
A great place to get some quality food! Great menu selection, super friendly staff, great atmosphere. The smoothies are delicious!
My favorite place to go. Food is great the coffee cake is the best ever!! And the chocolate chip cookie is immaculate. Love habitat thank you
Feel lucky to have this as the neighborhood coffee shop. Great sandwiches, salads and coffee. Good selection of pastries, and lots of vegetarian and vegan options too. Breakfast favs: croissant / bodega breakfast sandos, almond croissant, gourmet pop tart, vegan blue berry muffin. Lunch favs: Brisket, cubano and veggie melt sandos, cinnamon dusted beet salad. Fav drinks: matcha lemonade, Hawaiian cold brew, oat milk latte, straight espresso (they pour it right) My only critique…I just wish they used dill pickles instead of sweet pickles in their sandwiches - but ya can’t have it all!
I love this place! It's quiet and relaxing to do work outside of your house, the seats are comfortable, it's never too crowded, you can eat a full meal or grab something not heavy for a great price. It's right next to my apartment. I just wished that it stayed open later than 7pm... other than that, I'm glad it's in my neighborhood.
We went here a couple times for breakfast while we were in town. The iced white chocolate mocha was so good. Service was very friendly, they bring out your order to your table outside. Would love to come again!
Great coffee! Cold brew (hazelnut) steep for 24 hours, very flavorful. Hot coffee, house brew not bitter even if ts strong. Service is fantastic & space is comfortable. This might just be my to go coffee place for now on.
Absolutely love this place and look forward to returning every time. The fact that they're super dog-friendly is a YUGE plus.
I had several hours to kill, and I was recommended Habitat Coffee and Tea. I went there, and it was cozy and nice - a lot of personality. The biggest plus of this place is, of course, the taste of desserts. The drinks here are also very tasty and I will definitely come here regularly. I highly recommend it.
This is a new discovered gem for me; a totally unexpected place right before you get into the the 2 freeway. It has an organic feel where everything has its place in a rather eclectic, yet cohesive environment. The coffee is great and the food is fresh, innovative and healthy. It has a lax and pleasant vibe to just have an awesome cup of coffee or a great delicious meal. This is my new stop before I get home.
While vacationing in LA I stopped here for brunch. I was able to get a cold brew, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. There was a delicious chocolate and overnight oats type option. It was delicious and there were so many goodies to choose from!
Every neighborhood needs a place like this: well priced, delicious food with ultra helpful staff. Highly recommend Habitat. Too bad it is a bit far from So. Pasadena but we have Heirloom Bakery :-)
The crossiant sandwich is LOADED!! The options are amazing for the price. I love their dirty Chai too! It's a pretty cute atmosphere too ❤️
Great coffee, great menu. Have been coming here regularly during our stay in Glassell Park and have not been disappointed. Great menu with typical brunch fare available all week. Great vegetarian and meat options. Normal prices. Great staff.
Sadly I don't live close at all. I was in the neighborhood for the Glassell Bark & Meow event. Loved that place. Good vibe, clean, food and beverage were great. Staff was friendly. I'll make a point to stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood.
Great chai (and it's nice that they have soy milk) and scrumptious cookies! Nice amount of indoor and outdoor seating, good wifi, good music. Lovely people, too!
You guys just blew the lid off of any vanilla oat milk latte that I have ever had. I’m sad that I live across town and am gonna have to beeline over here to get my fix 🤣
Had ham and Swiss grilled sandwiches, and a smoothie and an iced turmeric latte. All was excellent including the service.
Try the True North Smoothie if you like Chocolate! Sandwiches are excellent size and savory. Salad is fresh! Exotic chocolates and delightful drink options. Somehow thier coconut milk is so much better here! Excellent atmosphere both inside and out (which is impressive given the busy street).
I'll give it 5 stars for the everything bagel, my friends drink, and the vibe. But why was the mexican mocha spicy? I wasn't able drink it. I took a sip and was super confused. I had a few friends try and figure out the flavor. We agreed It wasn't cinnamon. It had to be either cayenne or turmeric. I feel like they just acidently messed up on my drink so i'm still leaving a 5 star review. I wish I would have taken a sip before I left to ask.
One of my favorite places in the whole neighborhood. Great coffee, wonderful staff, delicious food with (THANK GOD) vegetarian option. Indoor and outdoor seating, but that can sometimes be a desirable thing, it can get packed! However, all items can be made 'to-go' and there is a park just on the other back side of the building if you keep a blanket or chairs in your car. Bonus points, they love good dogs. :)
Quickly becoming my favorite neighbors coffee shop. Diverse menu with options for dietary restrictions. Their gluten free bagels are actually delicious! The staff is always friendly and the food is always in point. Coffee is good too. Lots of to go options, healthy snacks, GF baked goods, sandwiches to go. I’ve never left unsatisfied.
Great spot. Love the paintings
The baristas and servers were so wonderful! The food and the coffee were delicious and they had a pretty nice variety of tea and coffee to buy and take home. It's very cozy and great to sit down and talk or work for a while.
Great place to work or have a little meetup. This place has both hot and convenient cold breakfasts, I would totally recommend this place. The coffee is decent, not life-changing, but super solid.
Not a lot of coffee shops can make the cement jungle of suburban smogville feel like a cozy countryside cafe but this one comes pretty close! It's filled with plants and artwork. It serves lots of delicious decently priced drinks and delicious less-decently priced food. Never had a problem finding a table (parking is a different story tho). I don't get a lot of smiles from staff but they're genuine, polite, and to the point and I respect it. Customer service shouldn't have to have a degree in acting in my opinion. Top notch experience all around.
Food is good quality for the price. Service is really great and friendly. Good seating inside and outside. I thought the indoor seating was larger, but it was a bit on the small side. No parking lot!
So glad they are open again with outdoor seating. The staff has always been great and their coffee, tea, and food selections are terrific. I especially enjoy their ready-to-go snack shelves and fridges. Habitat has been the only place my partner and I have actually spent money eating away from home in the last 6 months. Also their Cubano is awesome(and massive)!
Everyone who works here is so nice! The customers are, too. It's a welcoming environment with a chic modern design. Most people who sit inside are studying. There are lots of tables out front. The wifi is excellent. This place is out of the way of my usual commute, but it's such a gem that I gladly make a detour to come here.
Great smoothies and although I haven't tried the sandwiches yet, they look delicious! They are the same price as the ones across the street at Bub and Grandma's but normal in size so you feel you're getting your money's worth.
Love the atmosphere, positive smiles and good vibes
I was passing through the area and made a stop at Habitat Coffee for a quick bite. It turned out to be such a great find! I ordered to-go a chipotle chicken sandwich & a large iced vanilla latte with oat milk. They heated it up for me & cut it in half, which you’ll need because this sandwich is pretty filling for one person. I actually ate the other half for dinner. I don’t know if it’s the kind of syrup or milk they use, but this coffee was amazing. The espresso wasn’t burnt and the vanilla wasn’t overly sweet either. Not to mention, it wasn’t ridiculously filled with ice cubes. It was perfect to boost me for the rest of my day. The only tricky part is probably parking since it’s street only. But I got lucky finding one in the neighborhood around the corner and it was worth the u-turns I made. 🤣
I didn’t add sugar, creamer, and I slurped the coffee sloooow. Tasty and refreshing. Thank you and it’s also a cute little set up for a meet up and parking is easy.
The Mexican mocha and the Mexican hot chocolate very both really good. I really enjoyed them.
This place is great. All the choices you want for a coffee shop. So popular that their pastries run out early. I wish they would supply some more towards the afternoon hours though. This place is great.
Such a great spot to start the morning! The coffee is smooth, the pastries are fresh, and the staff are always welcoming with a smile. Cozy atmosphere that makes you want to sit and stay a while. Definitely my go-to café before work.
Really lovely coffee shop to sit and work at. The croissant breakfast sandwich with chicken sausage was out of this world & their iced chai tea with oat milk was delicious as well! The croissant was so fluffy and perfect for being sand which bread. Not too flakey or excessively buttery. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. This place has quite the assortment of things to try, will definitely back to sample some of the other offerings. Definitely a place to try if you’re in the area.
Great place to drink coffee and work in the Glassell Park/Highland Park area. Great coffee, decent amount of tables to work, tons of food options as they also have fridges full of pre-made meals. Fast wifi, and cool vibe. Only downside is parking can be a pain and you may drive around a little if there isn’t any out front. I’ll be back.
I had a fantastic experience at The Habit Burger Grill! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I ordered the Charburger, and it was perfectly chargrilled, juicy, and full of flavor. The fries were hot and crispy, and everything tasted fresh. Clean restaurant, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere — I’ll definitely be coming back! 🍔
Absolutely love Habitat Cafe! The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, perfect for catching up with friends or getting work done. Their coffee is top-notch — smooth, rich, and always served with a smile. I tried the avocado toast and it was fresh and flavorful, beautifully plated too. The staff is super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Also, major plus: there’s plenty of natural light and great music that isn’t too loud. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the area!
This cafe is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with cozy seating and just the right background music. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and their pastries taste fresh and homemade. The staff are friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Perfect spot for catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time with a book.
Cute cafe. Lots of healthy, balanced, protein focused meals. I was impressed. I took it as a sign from the universe when I found a gluten free crumb cake just chilling by the register. That + the Hawaiian hazelnut cold brew so yum!!
Great coffee! Excellent sandwiches breakfast or lunch. All the food is great. I had the Jersey sandwich and it was abt 2.5" thick!!
Very cozy relaxed coffee shop. A must-see place to enjoy an oat vanilla latte. Plenty of seating outside and some inside. Variety of panini, melts, smoothies and vegan options. Lots of to go options to for the people going back to work during the linch rush. Good atmosphere and clean.
Great place for coffee and a variety of healthy food options. My personal favorite is the croissant egg sandwich. Parking is limited to 2 spots in the alley and only 4-5 spots on the street. Service can be a bit slow when the place gets busy. Plenty of seating inside and outside.
Food is amazing and you can tell it’s high quality ingredients. There was a little oppsie but it was fixed really fast and we got complimentary cookies. It’s really refreshing to have good service and have stuff fixed asap. I’m always treated with respect going here with different kinds of people so I feel welcome to bring anyone with me. It does get pretty busy so I recommend ordering a head of time to avoid a wait. There’s inside and outside seating. I love this place so much superb customer service and care . Coffee is 10/10 in my opinion it’s the best coffee in this area.
always the best value for a tasty variety of cafe foods. i always get the vegan breakfast tostada even though i'm not even vegan. it's that tasty. coffee drinks always strong and solid. a huge to go selection of really good sandwiches. even if it gets busy there's always seating. no lines. love supporting this long-time neighborhood spot.
Lots of seating, some power outlets, wifi, gender neutral accessible bathroom, free street parking in back, good vanilla latte & chocolate chip muffin & premade sandwiches

YUM! went for breakfast and was not disappointed. Got an iced latte and berry smoothie, both were great. Had the salami mini melt and chicken parmi sandwich and they were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and food came quickly.
Came here because another review said they have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating and wifi. Both are true, and they also have power outlets under most of the seats, the atmosphere is great, and there are many nice little touches like self-serve ice water on the counter and free dog treats. The coffee was also great. I definitely recommend this place 👍
Great random find on my way to work. Tasty food, good portions and great value. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere, what more could you want.

Nice lil coffee shop! I enjoy stopping by mid morning and grabbing a caramel latte while I sit outside for a bit. I find it easy to get some writing done and/or some calls in before I go on about my day. Would recommend💜
I'm glad to have this place in the neighborhood. It's tasty, comfortable and great service but unfortunately for me it's super kid friendly. Lots of whining upperclass white kids acting out and wiping their hands all over everything. Don’t get me wrong, I love kids... I just don’t think I could finish a whole one.
Food was better than the coffee. Drove here for a solo lunch and maybe work on my laptop. Ample seating but wifi is only available until after 2pm..and I wasn't able to get a wifi password because the line had spiked up by the time wifi was supposedly ready. Kale and quinoa salad is ample (not made to order...it's in the glass display). I saw a lot of folks get sandwiches. Bagels are 2$, gluten free ones 2.50$.
Habitat Coffee is one of my go to spots for coffee & a bite to eat. Ive had iced lattes, gluten free sweets, breakfast sandwiches & the Cuban sandwich - all were tasty. The staff are pleasant & they have outside seating. There are a few dedicated parking spaces for Habitat & if those are taken, there's plenty of street parking.
My local coffee joint! I wish I could give this place 5 stars but I'm just turned off a bit by how corporate it feels - maybe it's because you can buy full bags of chips, cakes, etc.? Would love it if they just focused on the coffee. The cafe au lait is exceptional. Get it iced and sit on the patio while you pet other people's dogs.
Decent coffee and a lot of food options. The cold brew coffee was spot on. But the pastries (muffins) I tried on my last visit were a bit bland. One thing I have yet to figure out is if it is posted somewhere how much the baked goods and sandwiches in the case cost (for the life of me I can't figure it out without asking). The atmosphere inside is relaxed and comfortable. It's a little loud on the patio out front due to all the traffic on Eagle Rock Blvd but that's part of the game.
The food and atmosphere are great, but it’s so slow. You can order ahead, but it can be 30 min wait. You can order in restaurant, but the situation isn’t much better. The “line” is longer than it looks because of all the mobile orders. I just want to pop in, get a coffee, and get on my way. This is not that type of coffee shop.
I've gone here a couple times but only for coffee. Today I went and grabbed one of the pre made breakfast burritos. I was a little hesitant but they heated it up for me and it turned out to be really great. Staff is super nice and efficient. It was about 20$ for a burrito, coffee and pastry. The price of everything is the only thing holding me back from giving a five stars. Still a great spot though.
Gluten free coffee cake was seriously delicious, and latte was good too. The employees are very welcoming and the decor is creative and cool. Hot black coffee tasted a bit burnt though
Matcha was tasty + croissant was delicious. I like the atmosphere. The person taking my order was not so friendly. The people in the back cooking were great & helpful.
Habitat Coffee is a large, wood-accented neighborhood cafe offering coffee, breakfast, lunch & pastries. It’s located on Eagle Rock Blvd in Glassell Park neighborhood of LA. This coffee shop has vast diverse items on their menu. Moreover, they have an abundant of healthy food and smoothie drinks. Its rustic indoor design, high ceiling and pretty artwork wall are an eye opener for first time visitors such as myself. I even notice a fellow customer, April, a young cute Latina, taking photos of the art-paintings on the north wall; and in the process I was caught in one of her photos winking like Romeo 😉. Lol. Ok, let’s get back on this review. The cafe’s atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing with good music playing on the background. I perused their menu and was hoping to get an Egg Croissant sandwich but sadly their kitchen was closed. I ordered a Tuna Melt Cheese Sandwich and a Red Eye Latte (12oz). Both were bloody good. Service was on point. Free Wifi. Plenty of seats (indoor/outdoor) in a very spacious setting. Prices seem fair for the area. Staff was cordial and competent. Free wifi and washroom. Ample of street parking. Overall, this is a nice cafe to chill with friends and/or coffee dates. I highly recommend you visit.

I've been here several times and have had mixed feelings about the way the staff greets their guests. Not very friendly nor personable. Sometimes I'll get the cold fish handshake version of a "hello" hardly ever get a greeting really. The coffee is good, I've had a variety of their drinks, starting with my favorite a vanilla latte hot, pretty good not too sweet wich is perfect for me. The 2nd & 3rd drinks are just regular coffee both hot and iced. Though I will say I do find myself reminiscing occasionally about the iced coffee, I'd say it's pretty good. Lastly & definitely LEAST is the sorry excuse of a chai latte. WOW!!! DO NOT order the Chai, the best way to describe it is as hot water with some cinnamon sprinkled into a cup. No body whatsoever and completely bland. I've only made the mistake once. But spare yourself & don't order it. You've been warned. As for the food options I've had the cheesy spinach croissant, not worth it at all. Was bland and there was hardly any cheese or spinach in the actual croissant. And finally the chocolate brownies, very chewy very moist and a nice size pastry. I actually split this with someone usually, don't think it's worth $4.50 tho. I think if you're going to price things high make sure the food & drinks are up to par & actually meet the price range in taste. Bigger drink sizes would be nice too but I may be pushin it.
I stopped by this place because of a recommendation from a friend. The place smells like burnt toast however, the croissant sandwich was stellar. I had a dirty chai latte with almond milk. The drink was ok, the espresso shots had a tart taste that made the drink a little too sour for my taste. They lost a star because my drink was served in a dirty mug. I ran a finger on the rim, and there was black lint and grime on my finger. They replaced my drink (although didn't offer an apology) without any problems.
Pricey. Not the best coffee and dry bagel. Not pleased with this place. I can make my own Turkish coffee at home with much flavor. Even Pete's Coffee is better.
Had a coffee and bagel to go for breakfast. Bagel was dry and frankly the worst bagel I've ever had in the USA, (and I lived in CA for 3 years). Also I expected when ordering a cream cheese and bacon bagel to go for it to be made ready to eat... Instead it was all placed in a large plastic box with a plastic knife and I had to make it myself on the hood of my car!! All the plastic in this day and age?!! A huge impact to the environment when a bagel wrapped in paper would have been way better! I ordered a decaf coffee and I was given regular as apparently the server didn't hear me ask for decaf. All in all a very poor experience on all levels... Product, service and environmental sustainability.

Not family friendly. Will have dog treats and dog bowls and an all gender bathroom but cant put in the time for a baby changing station. A baby changing station is a bare minimum for clients. If we cant think of the smallest of us then where are we headed as a society.
went there for the first time today not a pleasant experience. The Cashier didn’t put in my order and I waited close to 30 minutes for a bagel loxx sandwich. Management finally realized and they came to my table applogized and put in the order meanwhile every other white person coming in was getting greeted and with fast and friendly service its hard not to think your being discriminated point blank. Then the icing on the cake, I get the Bagel Loxx and its not even put together , The Worst honestly for making someone wait you couldve atleast put the cream cheese on the bagel. Also their Lattes are pretty flavorless . Girl Bye!
They randomly turn off the internet when it gets busy, which is wildly frustrating for those like me who like to write at the local coffeehouse. I stopped going mostly because of this arbitrary shift. Otherwise place is pretty decent, just a tiny bit pricey for a neighborhood cafe.
Very rude staff. The cashier gave me attitude when I was confused about how to order since I wasn’t aware the smoothies were customizable. For the price you’d think they’d have better service.
I really don't get the hype. This is some of the most average coffee and food I've ever had, especially considering how insanely expensive everything is. Try Bub & Grandma's or Tierra Mia instead, the staff are nicer too.
I ordered online a turmeric latte and chai latte and the were horrible . Taste like dirty water. I am assuming not enough of the base and too much coconut milk. I also got the chicken sausage breakfast burrito it was ok nothing that I would go back for. I was pissed $40 just in the trash.
Overpriced for the same type of food you can get at Whole Foods, but with less flavor. The portions were large, but the seasoning was bland and nothing stood out as fresh or unique. My kids weren’t fans either—they barely touched their sandwiches. I don’t recommend it, which is sad because they’re right in my neighborhood and I really wanted to like this place. We ordered a variety of items and nothing was decent. Not to mention, the wait was far too long even though there was no line when we arrived. Staff didn't smile nor acknowledge us I had to ask if I can order. The cashier made no eye contact. My friend mentioned the same experience. Not worth it.
Very unfriendly, watched me at the counter for about 5 minutes without being helped. There was no line. Maybe cashier / barista was having a bad day but would not come back. With coffee shops in every corner they need to be a little nicer.
