Opinions de India's Oven Los Angeles
India’s Oven is hands down my favorite go-to Indian restaurant in Los Angeles! Their menu is amazing, and the lunch specials are such a great deal. Everything is cooked to order and always tastes so fresh. My personal favorites are the chicken tikka masala (perfectly spiced and flavorful), the garlic naan (soft, fluffy, and delicious), and their chai(thick, creamy, and just perfect). The owner, Sham is incredibly hospitable and genuinely friendly. He always goes above and beyond to make sure every guest has the best experience. The whole staff is also very welcoming and kind, which makes dining here feel extra special. For anyone looking for Halal food in LA, this is the spot! They serve Halal meat, and the quality is truly top-tier. They also give back to the community a lot and donate food, which speaks to their values. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, I always leave satisfied and happy. I highly recommend India’s Oven, it’s a gem!
We ordered to go and stayed for a small drink in the restaurant. The restaurant staff were really welcoming and family oriented. I'm pressed as well by the place. it's on the 2nd floor. They pay attention to detail. Their mango drink was delicious. Definitely, if you are around the area, try them out
Possibly the best Indian restaurant experiences in life bc my friend Hajir who knows the best of so many things. I’m so lucky to have wonderful friends like him. It was an amazing dinner over an impressive conversation we always have. Perfect setting for that. Better than Samosa house because of the atmosphere and service, but may be more costly. I don’t know because my friend who is always generous took care of the bill. 💵 But a great vegan chicken dish at Samosa house has a very similar dish just fyi. But not all samosa houses. Also I failed to take a picture of the main dishes which were both plenty and so tasty. Tikka masala was one of them.
This is one of those places where you call them a hidden gem. My very first time here and it won't be last. My husband used to come here all the time and this is my first time. we came with friends and we enjoyed a really delicious dinner, outstanding service, amazing ambiance, very laid back, clean bathroom. They brought us sambosas For each couple on the house. They also brought the vegetarian kabobs if I'm not mistaken. It's definitely hidden and it's like on the second floor of a building but it's so worth a try we had multiple dishes from vegetarian to chicken dishes and they were all absolute delicious. My favorite was the butter chicken. My husband had the karahi chicken, which was really good too. Our friends had their vegetarian dishes from the eggplant to the spinach do any other ones, and they were all absolute licious. We had the tea which was OK. In my opinion I've had better but the rice pudding had an odd taste. The mango dessert was really good. Overall it was amazing and I will return here!
It was one of the best meals in Santa Monica. The service is super great, and the food was AMAZING. Adults and kids loved the food, it was tasty and super delicious. We ordered Samosa, garlic naan, mixed grill, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and white rice. The restrooms and the whole place are clean. Definitely coming back every time we will pass LA/Santa Monica.
super delicious food in a clean space with great service! the dahi papdi chat was genuinely so good, and everything in the vegetarian thali was delicious (esp dal makhani!) love this place.
You must come here. One of my new favorite restaurants. Everything was full of flavor but not overpowering. All of the food was fresh, even the gulab jamun (dessert donut ball in syrup) was still very warm. The service was wonderful and the inside of the restaurant is very nice. Try the combo plate and the indian beer!!
Absolutely amazing experience! This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Los Angeles. The food is authentic, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—truly outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal or a celebration. The owner, Sham, and the entire staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure an exceptional dining experience. If you’re looking for incredible Indian cuisine with top-notch service, this is the place to go!
Came in for lunch and they have a really amazing lunch special. Really affordable as well. It included a small portion of the chicken tika masala and it was so flavorful! Definitely want to come back for dinner and get the larger portion.
First time here at Sham's India's Oven. My friend works in this medical building and recommended having dinner here. The restaurant validates parking if you park in the building. Entrance to the parking is from Barry, just north of Wilshire. It is a bit tricky to find. We shared the Onion Bhaji as an appetizer as well as Spinach Naan. We enjoyed these! We all enjoyed our food, Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala and a vegetarian dinner set! The staff tonight did not wear a uniform, so I wasn't sure who was staff or a guest. I saw a a few Take Out orders, which was good, because on a Tuesday evening, it wasn't busy. I always like to support local small businesses. View from the restaurant is of Wilshire. Interior is very nice!
Delicious Masalas (we had chicken and paneer), lamb vindaloo, and chicken biryani. All of them were packed with earthy flavors that does wonders to your taste buds. The only thing I'd probably want more flavor is the Garlic Naan. It could use a little more kick to it. The Aloo Naan was delicious though! Also, be sure to get the vegetable samosas over the chicken samosas, and don't forget to request the mango chutney, mint chutney, and tamarind chutney!
We went for lunch and received excellent service all around. I am very picky with Indian food overall, but this place definitely uses top fresh quality ingredients. I tried samosa with mint chutney, lamb masala with rice, dal (lentil soup),rice and their fresh naan bread and mango lassi drink. I would definitely be back when I'm in the area 👍🏼

Ever since I first had Sham, I’ve loved it! They give you nice portions. Their Dal and butter chicken are especially good. I met the owner and he is also super sweet.
One of the best Indian restaurants in LA! They serve some of the elite events in LA, like the Grammys. If you're lucky, you might spot not only Hollywood actors but movie industry executives and stars from Bollywood, Tollywood, and Kollywood!
Delicious! We are from out of state and my son really wanted some good Indian food. Service was prompt, and the flavors were amazing! Got the coconut chicken and tikka masala. Naan was soft and pillowy. Highly recommend.
Bless this place. Honestly bless this place and its cooks and servers. Everything is wonderful every single time we come here, and every time you get that hit of flavors that explode in your mouth and fill your heart with joy. This is food that heals you both mentally and physically. We have not yet ordered something we didn't absolutely love! And the friendliness of the staff is honestly unparalleled. 11 out of 10.

Delicious food! Love their naan, and the chettinad chicken is a favorite and go to for me, while my husband loves the tikka masala and the chicken vindaloo. We often do takeout, but dining in is also a nice experience and staff/owner is very welcoming.
Nice spot that deserves so much more foot traffic than it had during Sunday lunch hour. It is located in an office building but don't let that fool you; Once inside, the ambiance is elegant, the staff were kind and attentive, every single thing we ordered was exceptional and the portions generous. Highly recommend!
This is an authentic Indian restaurant in Brentwood, located on the second floor, so you get somewhat of a view if you sit by the window. Their papadum was delicious, and their onion bhaji was even better. Amazingly seasoned, crunchy batter on the outside and soft on the inside. They're served with tamarind sauce. I recommend the garlic naan and chicken tikka masala: white tender pieces of chicken in a creamy tomato sauce. Only downside is you have to order a side of rice - it seems no dish comes with a side of rice anymore. The atmosphere was great, they played Indiana music to set the vibes. The food came surprisingly fast and fresh - great staff!
Delicious experience — they’re named ‘indias tandoori Brentwood’ on door dash. I’ve had Indian food a few times now and I think their Indian food met the expectation. I had the Karachi paneer and garlic naan. I ordered the peas palou rice but it tasted and looked like regular white rice… not sure if they did my order wrong or. The naan was good, warm and fresh. The paneer was flavorful but I felt like it could’ve been softer - maybe it was slightly undercooked? But overall it was an enjoyable experience.

The Sham Indian Oven is a solid choice for those craving authentic Indian cuisine. While the food may not be exceptional, it's certainly above average and satisfying. The Yellow Dal Fry was a highlight, with a rich, creamy texture and a subtle blend of spices. The Jeera Alu, a potato dish, was also well-prepared, with a nice balance of flavors and a hint of cumin. The Malai Kofta, a vegetarian dish featuring paneer and vegetable dumplings, was creamy and flavorful, although slightly sweet for my taste. The Garlic Naan was soft and buttery, with a pungent garlic flavor that complemented the meals nicely. The Tandoori Roti, a classic Indian flatbread, was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. Overall, Sham Indian Oven delivers consistent, above-average Indian cuisine that's sure to please. While it may not be the most innovative or exceptional, it's a reliable choice for a satisfying meal. Rating: 3.5/5 stars Price: Moderate Recommended for: Those seeking authentic, comforting Indian cuisine without breaking the bank. Will I return? Yes, for a reliable and satisfying Indian meal.

I walked out of there feeling like crying. I was in there for over an hour of waiting for my food, waiting on a takeout box and gave me the wrong bill. And then had to wait for the correct bill. I noticed other tables got there food much faster and they also received a basket of nann while waiting on there main dish. I did not. I was so annoyed by this experience. During all that waiting for my food my food came out mixed temperatures. I wanted to walk out soooooo bad and not pay at all. But I remained patient I just didn't give a tip.
