I wanted to thank Doris for such great customer service. She really goes above and beyond in making sure your order is in quickly and just the way you want it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Also, the burgers are awesome super hot, cheesy and meat was fresh which you can't say about most places. Definitely give this place a try!
I think I've found my favorite burger. All of my friends have been raving about Irv's Burgers that just opened in my neighborhood (LaBrea and Olympic). There's also a West Hollywood location, and was known for being on the historic Route 66. Irv's has been around for over 76 years, and they keep it simple with their menu. The burger patties are cooked on the spot, with just the right amount of caramelization, the cheese is the right amount of melted goodness, the grilled onions are sweet and yummy and the bun is toasted...this makes for a great burger. Oh, and the fries are also cooked just right. But here's the biggie...these burgers are affordable and better than most of the $20 + burgers and fries at these big name establishments. This is the closest thing I've found so far to old fashion homemade burgers in LA in the last 15 or so years. Plus, you can have them delivered, though I walked there to get mine. Irv's will remind you of a cool retro burger joint with indoor and outdoor seating...that had me when I opened the door.🤣
Definitely one the best smashburgers around; and for the best price in town. The meat and seasoning is very good; the cheese and grilled onions and pickles and mustard makes it perfect for me. Shudda got a double. Next time. Very nice and friendly staff happy to talk about the history of the joint. I used to go to the original location in WeHo back in the day when then Irv Genis was the proprietor. Decades later, when Sonia Hong owned it, getting one of her hand-drawn doodles on your paper plate made getting a great burger even better. Fast forward to today and Off the Menu founder Lawrence Longo has become the principal partner/owner and added new locations, including Malibu 🤙 and one in Vegas. And Sonia still has a hand in the business. I’ve eaten a few times in the one at Olympic and La Brea, and it never disappoints. 5 stars for quality, consistency and history. Too bad the original location had to close.
Perfection! Today, my sweetheart and I did a walking burger tour. While the others, Win-Dow and Trophies, were great, Irv's was a full tier above them. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Everything on the menu actually looks delicious. If I lived nearby, I'd have a hard time not working my way through the whole thing. Looking forward to my next trip back.
Now this place, deserves three thumbs up! They said they're xing the breakfast menu, but that's the best breakfast burrito I've had at a burger joint. Go get one before they do. I'm getting three more! Any burger is good.
Honestly one of the best burgers I have had. You can taste the charbroil and it was a little crispy on the edges, soft bun fresh toppings crunchy pickle, overall a great burger
The Just For You burger is one of the best burgers in LA and they consistently execute it perfectly at this location. Staff is always helpful, quick and friendly. Perfect neighborhood spot!
High quality burgers stand. The milkshakes are too die for. The Irv sauce is really good. I love the turkey burger and tater tots.
That was a real good cheeseburger.Chili cheese fries , real tasty The prices is right Good shanks too!!🥤🥤
I originally just came here to wait for my friend to arrive after a lot of miscommunication, and I have been wanting to try it but just never been able to stop, and so I was like, “Oh, here it is.” I tried it, and I am very pleased that I did. I got the tuna melt. It was really good. They put things together very well. It’s a great looking sandwich on top of a great tasting sandwich. The only thing is I wish my food was warmer when I received it, but that is OK. I think it was ready earlier than anticipated. It is just tuna melt after all, so I’ll order again next time, and I will just walk inside until it is handed to me. And I feel like standing inside is the better place to wait.
This is a little place that's been around forever, maybe 1946. They serve good burgers and tater tots and several old classics like onion rings. Their shakes are delicious with the whip topping. You can get a burger with or without sesame seeds. The sesame seed buns have a copious amount of sesame seeds. They even have their own little parking area. You can either eat inside or outside. Definitely worth a visit.
We went after a show and amazing burgers! Not a smash burger but pretty close to one, sides were crispy and grilled onions were cooked to perfection. String fries along with the combo and highly recommended the Best Burger on The Menu, their double patty. We'll make the drive out to mid-Wilshire for this burger.
*[My pics don't do this place justice!] Ordered online; navigating portal: user friendly! Arrived to receive a warm welcome & prompt service! Ready, confirmed pickup & was already Packaged perfectly! To open to my delight- my fresh & meaty order, custom made to orders, accurate, hot & delicious! Great quality! I got a head start & indulged in the parking lot, as I was enjoying a LIVE podcast. It was perfect timing & my 1st meal of the day. I already knew when I came to LA, I was stopping by IRV's. I had just left farmers market/ the Grove. With all of those selections there, I still waited to order & eat @ Irv's. I did the same exact thing a few weeks ago. Irv's is my "go to" spot while on the quest for the best burgers in town!" - hands down!
When Eater magazine ranked Irv’s as one of the best burgers in LA, I had to get here. Well, that day has come! This is truly spectacular. Easily one of the top 5 burgers I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Top it off with an Orange Creamsicle, pure bliss. 🍔😋
Eating the best burger is an experience that delights all your senses. It starts with the appearance: a perfectly toasted bun that’s slightly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, enveloping a well-cooked, juicy patty. As you take the first bite, the fresh crunch of the lettuce intermingles with the sweetness of ripe tomatoes and the tanginess of pickles. The cheese, a perfect melt, adds a creamy texture, while a flavorful sauce ties all the elements together without overpowering them. Each bite is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that leaves you completely satisfied. Irv's Burgers was alright! 4 out of 5.
In a town famous for burgers, this ranks up there as one of the best. It’s been open since 1946 and used to be a famous stop on Route 66. I stopped in tonight for my first time after work, and I definitely won’t wait a long time before stopping in again because I truly loved it. The parking lot is small but the restaurant was absolutely packed when I got in so I knew I was in the right place. We ordered the Irv’s Double Burger, which was fantastic, the Tuna Melt, which was also very good, the Grilled Cheese, which was very buttery and great as well. I’m a big fan of their french fries as well and honestly I was really impressed tonight. It’s very organized on the inside and the staff is really great about getting all the items out quickly. Definitely somewhere I would recommend to any fan of burgers or to aby one looking for a great casual meal.
Yo this shit crack!! Burger was so good, the bun had perfect amount of sesame seeds (aka 1000) The sauce, the amount of meat NOM. Also the fries by themselves are so good—crunchy and flavorful. Just a heads up I got cheese fries and added grilled onions (they pack this separately for take out so fries don’t get soggy) I would prefer if they melted cheese onto the fries rather than a cheese sauce but that’s just me, it’s def good but next time I’ll just get plain fries.
Yummy Burgers! Yummy Fries! Great Value! Clean!
Man, these guys make a mean burger. Everything about it was right, loaded patties and veggies, smothered in their house sauce. Their patty melt too was one of the best I’ve had. The only gripe I have is the price. It was over $20 for the double patty burger combo with fries and drink. Feels pretty steep, so iono how often I’ll be coming. Maybe I’ll just come back for the patty melt alone.

Definitely one of the best spots you're gonna find in Los Angeles to get a great Burger amazing service. I came here last night they gave me a free meal. You can't beat that with a bat.
I’m literally vegan for over 10 years almost now, but I have to commend the man at the restaurant because he is an insanely hard worker. I’m just a delivery driver, but he was ridiculously fast and dedicated to his role in the store.
Very solid yet simple pastrami sandwich. I usually don't like rye but it worked with this sandwich. The best burger on the menu was very good but I like my burgers with veggies so I'll be trying another burger next time
If you’re in LA and craving a legit burger, Irv’s Burgers is a must. The roadside vibe is chill and no-frills, but the Roadside Double is the real reason to pull up. Thin patties with crispy edges, melty cheese, fresh toppings, and a soft bun that somehow keeps everything perfect. Nothing overcomplicated — just done right. I’ve had a lot of burgers around LA, and I still think their Roadside Double is the best one I’ve had. Simple, satisfying, and hits every time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Irv’s Burgers on Olympic & La Brea is 1 of those RARE LA spots that feels both classic and underrated at the same time. I usually go for the veggie burger like 4X a week and every single time it hits! Super FLAVORFUL, SATISFYING AND MADE WITH REAL CARE!! There’s something about the simplicity of the menu that makes it special. It’s not trying too hard. It’s just consistently GOOD. What really sets this location apart is the team. Jake, Jen, and the ENTIRE crew create an energy that makes you feel WELCOME the second you walk up. It’s not just fast food, it feels personal. You can tell they take pride in what they’re serving and how they treat people period!! In a city full of trendy food spots, Irv’s is the REAL DEAL!! Timeless, delicious, and powered by an outstanding team 👏♥️ IYKYK and if you don’t, you should
Irv's Original with a side of onion rings was delicious. The burger patty was smashed and crisp on the edges. The onion rings were perfectly fried and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their house made sauces compliment the food well. 10/10
Came here and ordered take out to take back to the hotel. Chili Cheese Fries, fries and burgers were still good even when we got back to the hotel. Definitely a great place to stop by for a burger. The fries on their own didn't knock my socks off but the chili cheese fries were good. The chili cheese fries are served with shredded cheese on the chili in a separate cup. The cheese sauce which I ordered on the side was like a nacho cheese sauce flavor with a slight jalapeno flavor. It's like a aged cheddar or regular cheddar cheese sauce but with a bit of spice to it. The ranch dressing was good, it quite zesty. It reminds me of hidden valley ranch but with extra zest to it. Overall this a great burger spot to visit and i highly recommend getting the best burger on the menu. I'm still thinking about it as I type up this review.
The cutest little burger joint! Since 1946! Searched for a “burger and shake” spot late at night and this came up. Made it just before they closed. Burger patties were freshly made to order and juicy! Totally hit our craving on point! Shakes were delish except they need bigger straws lol highly recommend this place if you’re looking for the best burgers and fries in L.A. 🤤

The chili cheese fries were good. The fries stayed crispy. The burger reminded me of in and out. The chocolate shake is vanilla ice-cream with chocolate syrup. Just keep your head on a swivel.
Really nice service, I asked for my burger not pressed and he was like cool no problem. Its pricey but worth it!

Really good flavor. Clean and staff is nice. It’s just super super super salty. We got a tuna melt one time and it was inedible.
I always hear about this spot. The service was great nice & fast. Honestly my Turkey burger with hatch chillies was ok.... not a lot of flavor or seasoning. The shake was delicious. Fries were nice, hot & crispy! Would I go back???? $22, turkey burger combo, burger & shake.
Tasty (albeit over salted) "Best Burger" on their menu, but at twice the price of In&Out Double Double. Deservingly? Hell Not!
Pastrami sandwich wasn't what I expected especially on this type of bread wasn't able to finish my pastrami sandwich
The only reason I thought to try this burger joint out, is because some dude on Instagram gave it a great finger licking review. Now I tell you this I'm a just stick to inandout! It's cheaper and tastier. I ordered the turkey burger ....it had no seasoning and the buns tasted like the top of that sliver table the kitchen use. Than I order the chili cheese fries and you get a cup of chill to pour over the frys???? That chill was sitting in a cup of Grease so much grease probably could of slapped some of that on the dry burger. Well over all not for me.
I placed an order for pickup. It said it would be around 20 to 25 min or so. I timed it perfectly so that I would not have soggy and cold food. 8 min later I get a text that my pickup is ready. Why give an estimate of 20 min? It was my first time trying this place , unfortunately I was dissapointed at my forst experience. When I called to let them know I got a text my food was ready but I was on my way, they seemed to not care and offered to cancel my order WITHOUT a refund.
Why are all of you lying? I'm so confused, and disappointed!! Let's begin with how they attempted to charge $4.00 for CHEESE sauce, when it's $2.00 on the menu?! (Photos attached) they're scamming customers? Please pay attention to your order to make sure they aren't overcharging for items! Even after that, the burgers came out and DRIPPED juice and overall were bland, unseasoned and just an average burger. Could've made a better burger myself. Overheard staff complaining about their work and wanting to quit. Seems to match the quality of food/inaccurate menu pricing. Will NEVER return, save yourself the $ and time.
Do not order food from this restaurant – when you order food with a drink, they give a cup to the delivery driver, and the driver pours the drink! The delivery driver does not have a license to provide such services! The driver may have dirty hands, and during the process of filling the cup, there is no guarantee that an infection from the driver's hands will not get into the customer's drink! Yesterday, I refused to perform a task that I am not authorized to do, and an employee of this restaurant lowered my rating by giving me a low score for refusing to do his job! I ask the regulatory authorities to pay attention to this restaurant and close it to prevent the spread of infections!
The food is just okay and for the price its simply mediocre. And charging $1 extra for a single mustard packet is absolutely insane. This place really shouldn't be in business.
I had a fly in my chilli cheese fries. Disgusting. When thw food arrived the fly was flying around. After, it flew into the grease. They gave me a hard time for a refund. Beware yall.
