Maya Mexican Restaurant

The food was great! The hospitality of the lady who waited on us was the best. I told my friend that we would probably run into somebody that we would know. Then a man and his wife walked in the door, and it was none other than the greatest coach that Banning High ever had. If you are from Wilmington, you should know who I am talking about. After we were all done eating and noticing they were also done, we had a great conversation with the coach. He taught us a few things that we never knew, and it will be a conversation I will never forget.

Good vibes really good food over all a great place to eat workers are very nice and the rice is sooo good I recommend this place if your looking for some good Mexican food.

I've been here every day for lunch, straight for a week. I was working at a project next door and tried it ones, loved it, and kept coming back. The food is delicious, especially their carnitas. The servers are hospitable, and the atmosphere is full of warmth. Definitely recommend.

Just at here on my lunch break. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean and the service was perfect. I will definitely return. I ordered the carne asada torta.

I came here to deliver an UberEats order and the food looked and smelled so good that I came right back and I was NOT disappointed!!! I had the chilaquiles con huevos, papas, y frijoles…I’m from Texas, just moved to CA from Phoenix, and this may be the best version of this dish I’ve ever had. Plus, Rosa will make you feel like she’s your tia, super sweet! I’ll definitely be returning.

The Restruant is very welcoming and clean and the service is impeccable! There is a great selection of authentic Mexican dishes to choose from, the salsa is some of the best I have had in a long time. Mayas definitely moved to the top of my list and I will be back soon.

Maya Mexican restaurant in downtown Wilmington is a nice little place to have authentic Mexican food. We were greated immediately and it was all in Spanish (which my wife luckily speaks fluently, I am still learning) and sat immediately as well. The chips and salsa were banging and the heat was just right in the salsa. My wife and I both got tortas, I got the carnita torta and she got the Carne asada torta. The carnita was cooked quite different then how it is on the east coast, fried up and dried out but still very good. 5/5 would recommend for authentic Mexican food.

1st time coming here, recommended by a co-worker. We went Sunday afternoon so there wasn't a lot of people there.The waitress was really talkative and helpful- actually got a good vibe her her. We got the Maya taco's and they were good and unique. Overall their food was good so I would recommend. I would just say they're a little heavy with the salt but still good.

When we got the bill, we were charged $3 more per item. If you go, make sure you ask about the prices before you order. Not sure why we had to pay $6 more for our meal. No explanation was given. The food at Maya was good and there was a large selection on the menu. There is free street parking out front on the side street. Many people were getting orders to go. We tried the Chilaquiles con Huevos with red sauce and the Steak a la Mexicana. You can choose red sauce or green sauce with the chilaquiles. I wanted half red and half green, but they won’t do that. You can also choose to have all beans or half beans and half potatoes. I did half and half and I’m glad I did. The potatoes were good. The Steak a la Mexicana was good and spicy. Overall, a good place with questionable pricing.

Burritos 🌯 of Chicharron are amazing, the green pozole is a different from traditional red, but still, good one. Tostadas are good as well. Didn't like it the tip comes on the bill as a must pay, but it is what it is. I could give more tip if not feel forced to pay it 🤷‍♂️. Parking spaces available around the local and very centric.

Their carne asada has really good flavor n the salsa was above average..... but needs to be more spicy. But it's a really good little mom n pop place that we need to help keep them in business!!!

I won't get food from there again because of the food poisoning. It has put me off of Chile Relleno and that is literally my favorite Mexican dish. 😢 I would say overall the food was just ok, nothing to write home about. Super surprised by all the great reviews.

I ordered the huevos rancheros and my God they were the worst thing I've ever had. It was completely disrespectful to even serve such bad food. The beans were watery and not even sure why they included "huevos" because those were nonexistent. Would gladly recommend to my worst enemy. Btw it's buy one get one free on ubereats and I see why.

Very slow service was there for 20 mins no service no drink offered just a menu, table was dirty when I was sat one waiter for the whole restaurant
