We absolutely loved this place. There was parking right out front and the atmosphere was super cute. We got the deluxe breakfast sandwich meals and the chicken nuggets. Everything was fantastic. We will definitely be back to try more items in the future.

Food is amazing and there’s always great specials. The sausage, egg and cheese is the best everyday value at 6.99 for 2! Burgers are great. Fries are not special in any way. Chicken nuggets are too similar to the animal version so carnivores would probably love that.

Mr. Charlie’s is a great option for those who want a happy meal but are vegan and don’t want “the beef.” They replicate the Big Mac really well and if you’re open to plant based or completely vegan it’s the place for you. The burger is awesome and you can barely tell it isn’t beef. I don’t usually eat plant based or vegan burgers or nuggets but I have tried a few and Mr. Charlie’s is my favorite. They don’t have a restroom so plan accordingly for that. It’s also fairly small so if you have a large party you might want to grab it to go. They do have seats in front and you can usually find a 4 seater but larger groups might find it easier to grab and go. Mr. Charlie’s is a great burger and chicken nugget alternative and a must try for anyone interested in, fully vegan or plant based food.

My partner and I can’t get enough of Mr. Charlie’s — they really are the McDonald’s of the plant-based world, but with their own clever, modern twist. From the playful branding to the nostalgic-yet-vegan menu, they’ve nailed the experience. The food is fast, fun, and comforting without the guilt, and the vibe inside is just as bold as the flavors. Every visit leaves us impressed — it’s plant-based made approachable, craveable, and downright addictive. If you want that classic fast-food fix but in a 100% plant-based way, this is the spot.

Well it is vegan junk food but I wish I had a lot of lettuce to counter the junk. At least it wasn't overly oily. Have eaten at the 'australian' store on Gadigal land a few times. It was the not chicken sandwich. I know I probably could have paid for extra lettuce but I kind of think they just should be extra regardless but it's not really even extra

I don't live in LA, I visit family often here and I'm always so excited to come here! They do a fantastic job replicating the tastes I miss from childhood but can't get since I'm vegetarian now. But even my family who eats meat will eat here, it's just good! I highly recommend trying it even if just for the cool atmosphere.

So excited to finally try Mr. Charlie’s!! It genuinely tastes just like McDonalds but honestly better. The vegan burger and fries are insanely similar as well as the “mac” sauce. The “chicken” nuggets were okay, not my favorite but I also wasn’t obsessed with McDonalds nuggets either so I’d say they’re also kind of similar. I also tried the “chicken” sandwhich which was also very good!

Best vegan place ever!!! As a loyal vegan who is always looking for a yummy vegan spot i can assure everyone this is the place to go!! Their food is a perfect vegan replica of the mcdonald’s menu (as my non-vegan mother can assure me) and it is so delicious even if you’re not vegan. The food is good quality and i tried the not hamburger combo and their soda is so carbonated and spicy. The atmosphere is similar to that of heaven and if you’re vegan this is the place you want to go if you want to live a happy life. I love you fellow vegans!

Great fast-food style restaurant. Delicious burgers. Super friendly and helpful staff. The nuggets breading was very nostalgic, too. Just make sure you pay attention to the parking signs if you use the street parking. I don't think there is parking allowed on La Brea in the evening, and they will ticket you!

I loved it so much that I went again the next day. It brought me back to my childhood, especially the fries. Both times I went, it was near closing & the employers were nothing but friendly. The food was good, better yet than you know who with no animal cruelty. The Royale is my fave & the nuggets were a close second. It was clean. I'll keep Mr. Charlie's in mind when I'm in LA & craving a burger.

Frownie Meal Big Chuck / impossible burger 2x, vegan cheese, lettuce, pickles, onion, special vegan sauce, sesame bun with 4 nuggets, fries & drink - 5 🌟! I was driving around and was ready for lunch. I didn't have a destination in mind. I was letting the muse guide me. Mr. Charlie's was where I wound up, and what a pleasant, delicious surprise! They are not the only vegan burger chain that take a sarcastic jab at the golden arches. It seems to be a popular theme for vegan places. They really lean into their design, and I loved it. Very colorful and clever. It is eye-catching and draws you in. Red as the dominant color is bold and uncompromising. The decor is also fun and entertaining. But I was there for the food. Their combo meals, which include nuggets and a specialty drink for a good price, are very appreciated. I went for the Big Chuck, and it was filling, tasty, and made fresh. The fries, which came with dipping sauce, were amazing. The nuggets are a great addition to an already great meal. As the world slowly turns to more vegan options, places like Mr. Charlie's make it easier for folks to see the benefits of a vegan meal also can be delicious and affordable. I was there on Sunday and just parked on the street out front. I didn't see a parking lot, but this location likely will be easy to find street parking any time during the week.

Mr. Charlie’s is basically a vegan McDonald’s dupe and honestly, it nails it. The food is great and tastes shockingly close to the real thing, minus the cruelty, which is the whole point. The breakfast sausage sando is excellent, the burger hits all the nostalgic fast-food notes, and the chicken nuggets are legit addictive. Staff was kind of unfriendly, not gonna lie, but after a meal that good, who really cares? I’d absolutely come back. If you’re craving classic fast food without the guilt, you won’t be disappointed.

Mr. Charlie’s is like McDonald’s but plant based and higher quality (and pricier). Fries and nuggets taste just like McDonald’s super close in texture and flavor. The “Not Chicken” sandwich is hefty and really good, honestly better than the mcchicken IMO! Burger was just okay (mainly the cheese didn’t hit), and the white sauce wasn’t great. Ice cream with caramel tasted a little freezer-burnt but still good with fries dipped in it. Overall, great spot if you want a better version of fast food.

I was so excited to try the food here! I liked the burger a lot, the chicken not as much (it was fishy to me?), I feel like I can't judge the fries since they were cold :( I ended up going back and getting a breakfast sandwich that was super good and an oreo sundae I wasn't the biggest fan of. There were only 2 people cooking/washing dishes and 1 person taking/running orders, they were absolutely swamped - there was a kiosk available to order on though. Seating is minimal (a few spots both inside and outside), I love the fresh flowers at the tables. Also worth noting, it was very hot inside.
